I'm new to this thing but does parvo still affect adult dogs? I thought I don't have to worry about parvo if I've given my dog the 3 shots of dhpp. I've given my 4months dog, should I still be worried? Or when should I begin to worry?

She has good temperament, agile and smart but she's lily-livered.

Bella is just a little over 18weeks and her features are already coming out. We took our first walk today and she got lot of compliments. During our walk, a gsd barked and if you see the way Bella ran, I was ashamed. She's beautiful but without liver. She even run from chicken. I don't see her becoming a good guard dog or could she become a little aggressive later? Well let's wait and see.

Gradually reduce the amount of chicken u feed her, I also own a gsd and she eats anything I give to her though I've only fed her diamond, booster and JoJo. Its of recent (5 months)I introduced animal brain, fish, soft bones with meat, indomie, fish meal (powdery form) and white rice.

You can get cod liver oil to mix with her food, the smell of fish in the oil will attract her to the food.

We are making progress everyday. My baby girl is growing well. Yesterday I got her Diamond puppy, served her but she didn't take much. I now added Jojo for her (she loves Jojo), oh boy, this girl devoured it like she hasn't been fed for 3days. I gave her double portion cos she was just restless and disturbing me for more.

I was advised not to do meat until she's 4months cos of worms. Can't wait to get her started on that. She gets milk, egg and sawa fish on a daily.

Just look at her folds, her mask and pigmentation. She's a beauty.

Diamond or Booster? Which is better for large breeds?

Mine is 6 weeks+ though a mutt,( 80% gsd+20% rott), I hesitately bathed mine cos he stinks and had ticks, he is one of the best things in my life. I bought a diamond puppy food 9kg plus k9 replacement milk, some times I flavor the mixture with sardine. I soak the kibbles in water before serving.
I noticed my pup prefer lying on the ground than on the foam.

How much did you buy the diamond and k9 replacement milk?

Bro, I was advised by a vet not to give my female dog noodles. I was told it increases the risk of vagina hyperplasia. For males, it's okay. You can give rice instead.

This morning, February 16, 2019, Nigeria and the international community woke up to the disconcerting news that the 2019 presidential and national assembly elections had been postponed for one week. The National Association of Seadogs notes with deep concern that this announcement came a few hours to the commencement of voting. The fact that Nigerians had made very significant investment in time, money and logistics to ensure that they exercise their civic responsibility calls for more than flitting scrutiny of the underlying reasons adduced by the electoral supervision body.

We note further that prior to this postponement, at several interviews and public forums, INEC and it’s chairman has continuously assured Nigerians and the international community that it was fully, 100% prepared to conduct the elections and that on no account will it be postponed. This sudden volteface and its enormous national economic cost, to our nation, with a GDP in excess of $450 billion US Dollars and personal cost to the over 60 million Nigerians who registered to partake in this election cannot be overlooked.

These situations, viewed against the backdrop of the N143 billion spent on the election and 4-year lead time to organise it, is a national embarrassment and a global public relations nightmare, especially, given the number and status of local and international observers who have berthed in Nigeria for election monitoring.

INEC must ensure that the integrity of already deployed sensitive election materials and assets be expediently preserved. Beyond this, INEC must assure Nigerians that the issues that led to this postponement will be addressed within the next one week. It is pertinent to mitigate this unfortunate exposure of Nigeria to international ridicule.

Insinuations that elections have been postponed on previous occasions are no mitigants because the trajectories are parallel. The postponement in 2015 gave ample time for broad based consultations and was predicated on security concerns raised by the National Security Adviser and not logistics incontinence of the electoral body.

The NAS therefore calls on INEC to raise their bar of performance. INEC must be aware that the hard fought democracy, including the future of Nigerians yet unborn, rests squarely on it’s capacity to successfully execute the 2019 Election in a free, fair, credible and transparent manner.

Finally, the National Association Seadogs would like to enjoin Nigerians to remain peaceful and resolute in keeping faith with carrying out this all important civic responsibility.

No matter the times and challenges, we must make our votes count!
