Bishop Francis Wale Oke of the Christ Life Bible Church, a.k.a. Sword of the Spirit Ministry and Mr Boboye Oyeyemi, Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), on Sunday, joined the array of eminent Nigerians that have visited the Ikenne, Ogun State home of the Awolowos in respect of the death of Chief Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo. Bishop Wale Oke said that everyone who is desirous of going to Heaven must live a godly life as Mama Awolowo did. In spite of power, riches or fame, without Christ, Bishop Wale Oke submitted, heaven is impossible. The cleric, who described his visit as congratulatory rather than condolence because Mama lived a full, richly Christian life, expressed confidence that Mama Awolowo had not died, but only moved to a better place than this world – “the Land of Glory.” He said, “When I learnt of Mama’s demise, I was convinced that Mama had gone to glory, because believers don’t die, they take their exit to the Land of Glory.” The man of God, who expressed his belief that Mama was already resting in the bosom of the Lord, relived a 1991 experience that underlined Mama’s deep, unflinching love for Christ. According to him, Mama exhibited her distinguished Christian life in the manner she deliberately and purposefully renewed her commitment to Christ during a five-day all-Remo crusade organised by his church. He shared how, on a particular night during the crusade, while he was preaching salvation, Mama, in her own handwriting, committed her life, again, to Christ and then forwarded the “decision slip,” in which Mama expressly stated that she wanted to go to Heaven, to him. “Mama lived a full life. Mama lived a glorious life. Mama fulfilled her destiny and has left a permanent mark on the sands of time. So, I congratulate the family on the glorious home-going of Mama, because not only did Mama live a godly life, she gave her life to Christ, received Christ as her Lord and Saviour and was filled with the Holy Spirit. “At least, I knew that during a crusade that we did in 1991, and she had lived a consistent godly and Christian life ever since. “Mama is in Heaven because if anybody believes in Christ, he will not see death, he will go to Heaven; he has passed from death to life,” he said. He admonished Nigerians to follow the example of Mama HID Awolowo and dedicate their lives to God. “Let’s shun every crime, every corruption and every evil and let’s live a godly and glorious life like Mama did, and it shall be well with us,” Bishop Wale Oke added. SOURCE: http://tribuneonlineng.com/emulate-hid-awolowo-make-heaven-bishop-wale-oke-tells-nigerians Sorry but why is a pentecostal pastor asking people to emulate someone in order to make Heaven? Christianity is all about the heart. Only God knows who is sincere in their Christianity. Perhaps because Awolowo was involved in politics... Is he saying you should follow politicians in order to reach Heaven? |

TB Joshua on Instagram again, this time praying for South Africa - https://instagram.com/p/1lWOYpig8h/ - "I pray for my nation, South Africa. As Jesus stood in the boat and commanded the storms to be calm, I stand in the midst of the storm in my nation, South Africa, and I command the storm, wind and waves to be calm, IN THE NAME OF JESUS!" - TB Joshua #NoToXenophobia #AfricaUnite #WeAreOne #StopXenophobia #LetLoveLead #Xenophobia #SouthAfrica #GoodMorning Incidentally, he claims to have also prophesied the attacks... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKNC6qERgsw

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKNC6qERgsw A video has surfaced of Nigerian Prophet Temitope Babatunde Joshua warning South Africans in July 2013 of a ‘youth revolt’ in their nation which would result in deaths of ‘certain people’. The video clip, uploaded to Joshua’s popular YouTube channel, Emmanuel TV, claims the controversial cleric prophesied about the violent xenophobic attacks spreading across South Africa on Sunday 28th July 2013. “In the nation, South Africa, we should help them in prayer because I am seeing youth revolt,” the clip quotes Joshua as saying. “It will be very serious. A situation where youth will come out and… you learn that there is a protest. Some people were killed – certain people.” Joshua’s ‘bloody’ prediction made the front cover of South African newspaper ‘City Press’ in August 2013 when Julius Malema, the fiery leader of South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), visited his church in Nigeria for ‘spiritual blessings’. The clip was posted alongside a message from Joshua to South Africans. “If we fail to see that there are powers that cause people to be bowed down in bondage, we are going to fight the wrong battle,” he wrote, in a statement posted on the Nigerian pastor’s official Facebook page, followed by over 1.5 million people. He then proceeded with a prayer for ‘calmness’ in the nation. “I pray for my nation, South Africa. As Jesus stood in the boat and commanded the storms to be calm, I stand in the midst of the storm in my nation, South Africa and I command the storm, wind and waves to be calm, in the name of Jesus! I speak calmness to my nation, South Africa, in the name of Jesus!” The recent spate of xenophobic violence has left both fear and tensions rife across South Africa with hundreds of foreign owned shops forcibly closed and their owners seeking refuge in makeshift camps. Five immigrants have been killed, including a 14 year old boy. Horrific images and videos have surfaced online showing locals burning foreign nationals and looting their shops. The violence erupted shortly after a statement from the Zulu King, Goodwill Zwelithini, calling on foreigners to return to their countries as they were causing economic ‘inconvenience’ to locals. T.B. Joshua’s television station, Emmanuel TV, is very popular in South Africa and has attracted thousands of Christians to his church ‘The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations’ in Lagos, Nigeria on pilgrimage. A friend sent me this link of a South African newspaper in 2013 - http://www.citypress.co.za/politics/jujus-prophet-predicts-bloody-revolt/. In it, Prophet T.B. Joshua is quoted as warning South Africa against a serious revolt instigated by youths which would result in the killing of 'certain people'. I wonder if he was referring to the xenophobic attacks sweeping across South Africa currently... |
I hope that now she is delivered, she will advise her colleagues still into prostitution that they too need to be delivered! I hope the ministers who had slept with her have seen what God Almighty did through Emmanuel TV! |
Men are in a lot of trouble! Thank God for the life of T.B. Joshua! |
Chinua Achebe - http://www.thefamouspeople.com/profiles/chinua-achebe-1044.php Called "the father of modern African writing", Chinua Achebe was one of the most widely read novelists from Nigeria who played a pivotal role in the development of African literature. Considered to be a major writer in not just the country of his birth but throughout the world, his debut novel ‘Things Fall Apart’ has sold over 12 million copies worldwide and has been translated into more than 50 languages. As an academically brilliant student at school he was often praised by his teachers for his reading skills. He easily got accepted into a prestigious college where he discovered his love for African culture and reading. He began writing during his university years and became a teacher after graduation. A voracious reader, he was disappointed with the European interpretation of African culture and disturbed by the non-African authors’ ignorance about Africa and its people. Determined to present a realistic picture of Africa to the world, he set about writing his novel ‘Things Fall Apart’ which was published after considerable editing and revising. The book was well received and went on to become one of the most significant books in African literature. He wrote several other critically acclaimed novels and eventually won the Man Booker International Prize.

Jonathan has played a very important role in Nigerian politics ever since he became involved with the emerging People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the late 1990s. The following advertorial was published in The Punch today... On behalf of the Alliance of Pan-Yoruba Groups (APAYO), a collation of several Yoruba groups, from Eko territories to the rich, wealthy wetland of Itsekiri, we stand hand-in-hand with the man of the moment, the legend of all times, Pastor T.B. Joshua as the YORUBA MAN OF THE DECADE. Many across the land, mostly the ordinary people, the low and even the high, farmers, cobblers, the poor and the downtrodden; seafarers, farmers on the rolling hills of our towns and villages, fishermen and women on the sea and the meandering creeks, have waited to see how they can applaud you for the lives you have changed, the glory you have brought and the pains you have lifted off the shoulders of millions of our people, all in a quiet and selfless manner, these past years. Yes, the drug addicts are rehabilitated, prostitutes are reformed and robbers are made to turn a new life. You give scholarships to millions of people, build schools, build hospitals, train people on non-violence, Christians and Muslims inclusive, and daily, you respond to the anguish, the cries and hues of the multitude. This is what religion is all about. We feel excited that you have been declared the YORUBA MAN OF THE DECADE. You are worth more than that. Truly, since 1989, when you started your charity organization, we all knew you were planting a mustard seed. Across the land, millions have stories to tell, tales that touch the hearts of people, testimonies that speak loud of affection and love for the needy. The naked are clothed, the poor are fed, the hopeless are lifted to eminence. You have brought spiritual and material salvation in ways unimaginable to people of varying work and faith: Muslims, Christians, armed and defenseless people alike. From Lagos to Sokoto, Maiduguri to Enugu and the South of Africa, from Europe to Asia, from the Pacific to the indigenous communities in Peru, Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia, Pakistan and Colombia; from the great Hindi group of China with their amazing rainbow of colors, from the oriental tongue to the land of the Caucasian, you have lifted up the image of Yoruba people and Nigerian, with position and reverberating echoes of fondness and glory. It is no surprise that no single institution receive as many foreign visitors to Nigeria as the sanctuary that you have built. The visitors dare the narrative images of poverty, dirty and horrendous violence to visit Nigeria even against the advisory of their missions, thanks to the way you have turned a wasteland into a land of honour, at a hitherto unknown Ikotun-Egbe in Lagos. Nations and presidents across the world see your vision, share in it and adore. We are proud of you, this great Yoruba son from a little and poor community of Akokoland in Ondo State. As the Yoruba man of the decade, not in politics, nor science, nor in art but simply in the sculpture of humanity, in the talent of love and care for the essential needs of people. We believe you are aware of greater responsibilities that lay ahead in redeeming further our homeland, helping more millions of our poor people, who wake up and feed on hope from dawn to dusk, rejected by their own society and who are the mercy of a system where survival is tough and life is becoming more violent, more nasty and brutish. All we can say is that our one God (Eledumare, Allah, Osanobua) will continue to bless and comfort you.

If you have travelled as a Nigerian to the majority of African countries, especially Southern Africa, you will know that Nigerians don't really value T.B. Joshua. Once people learn I am from Nigeria, one of the first questions they ask me is - do you know TB Joshua? The next thing is for them to ask for Anointing Water or Sticker! In terms of international exposure and tourism, I don't think we have anyone in either the secular or religious field that can be compared to TBJ, so I believe this commendation is well deserved. |
One the most popular televangelists in Zimbabwe, Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua, has been named the 'Yoruba man of the decade'. Joshua, who is well known in Zimbabwe due to the fame of his Christian television station Emmanuel TV, received the commendation from IrohinOdua, the first pan-Yoruba news outlet. The Yoruba people are one of three prominent ethnic groups in Nigeria, constituting over 35 million people. Additionally, Nigerian Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka was named 'Yoruba man of the year' and prominent Nigerian statesman and social democrat Chief Obafemi Awolowo was posthumously awarded 'Yoruba man of the century'. According to the statement, the three personalities were selected after a careful consideration of the role each had played in the annals of modern Yoruba history. Eulogising T.B. Joshua's contribution to tourism in Nigeria, the Editorial Board Chairman for IrohinOdua, Prince Adeleke said, "The ancestral origin of The Synagogue has transformed from a dingy wasteland into a local Disneyland drawing, in one year, millions of visitors to Nigeria from Africa, Europe, the Middle East and America." Zimbabweans are among the thousands of foreign pilgrims who flock to Joshua's church in Nigeria despite the lure of local prophets such as Uebert Angel and Emmanuel Makandiwa. Adeleke continued, "We see in his handiwork, a quiet revolution to transform the world in ways unimaginable. Since we blew the whistle for nomination, we have received incalculable, baffling testimonials from royals and ordinary street folks leading us to a hidden light in a dark, malicious world where the poor remain the dreg and the end butt of repression, neglect and perpetual want." Joshua received the nod despite the fact that several prominent Nigerian pastors also have Yoruba origins. These include Enoch Adeboye, David Oyedepo, Matthew Ashimolowo, Tunde Bakare and William Kumuyi. SOURCE: http://bulawayo24.com/index-id-News-sc-Religion-byo-63139.html

THE sage and founder of the modern Yoruba nation, Chief Obafemi Awolowo has been named as the Yoruba Man of the century. The announcement made on Thursday by IrohinOodua, the pan-Yoruba media online also listed Professor Wole Soyinka and Pastor TB Joshua as outstanding Yoruba personalities that have made unequalled contributions to the upliftment of the glory and grandeur of the Yoruba people. While Pastor TB Joshua was named as the Yoruba Man of the Decade, Professor Wole Soyinka was listed as the Yoruba Man of the Year 2014 in what represents the group’s maiden edition. IrohinOdua describes Professor Soyinka as a “stainless steel and the most righteous of the living Yoruba faithful.” The statement was signed by the Editorial Board Chairman of IrohinOdua, Prince Babatunde Adeleke. IrohinOdua was established as the first pan-Yoruba news medium with an outreach of over half a million of mostly Yoruba people across the world. According to the statement, the three personalities were selected after a careful consideration of the role each had played in the annals of Yoruba modern history regarding placing the Yoruba on the positive angle of global reckoning. Eulogising Pastor TB Joshua, Prince Adeleke said, “amazing is the testimony of boost up from Nigeria and across the world by the poor, the rich; the haves and the have-nots, the high and low, but most astonishingly, people of all faith in Africa, Asia, America and across Europe, even in the remotest, hilly and isolated Islands that dot the great rivers and tributaries of the Pacific Ocean.” He said that Pastor T.B Joshua had brought honour to his people, the Yoruba, perhaps, in measures inestimable. Irohinodua stated “he began his ministerial career at a swampy location in Ikotun Egbe, Lagos. Today, this ancestral origin of the Synagogue has transformed from a dingy wasteland into a local Disneyland drawing, in one year, millions of visitors to Nigeria from Africa, Europe, the Middle East and America.” According to Adeleke, through tonnes of email correspondents sent to IrohinOdua, Pastor Joshua received commendations for his meritorious services to mankind. He stated “We see in his handiwork, a quiet revolution to transform the world in ways unimaginable. Since we blew the whistle for nomination, we have receive incalculable, baffling testimonials from royals and ordinary street folks leading us to a hidden light in a dark, malicious world where the poor remain the dreg and the end butt of repression, neglect and perpetual want.” The statement noted further that “the Yoruba has a long, cherished history. In the early part of the 9th Century, we had an organised system of government. By 10th century, the Yoruba already had a city state, Ile-Ife, which flourished through the golden ages. Our forebears exchanged trade with Europe and the Middle East, as far back as the 11th century. We are a proud nation that has produced icons over generations. We had produced men and women in peace and war time; icons in the field of trade and commerce. In the 18th century, spurred by technology and the art espoused in war, Ogedengbe, the Ekiti-Ijesha war general was invited to England for a state visit by the King of England. It added “every generation brings forth, like a star never to dim, icons that stand tall like a colossus.” SOURCE: Nigerian Tribune - http://www.tribune.com.ng/news/news-headlines/item/30003-awo-soyinka-tb-joshua-listed-as-yoruba-icons Wowww - so TBJ beat out the likes of Adeboye, Oyedepo, Ashimolowo, Bakare & Kumuyi to receive this one! Do you guys agree with these three? |
PapiWata:Such hatred for a person you never met personally. Thank God that the rest of the world are not controlled by prejudice like you. Such behavior reminds me of mistakes that humanity has gone through in history, thank God that not all of us forget where the human race has come from. |
nobilis:He said it in one of the live services of The SCOAN and on emmanuel tv (www.emmanuel.tv) back in February, 2014 but you were not watching it. Instead you come out, without any information whatsoever and begin accusing him. Is it fair? |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7RIvjBA3xk Amidst the controversy swirling around the decision by the electoral commission to postpone Nigeria’s elections by six weeks, Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua has released a video online with a prophecy he allegedly gave one year ago. “What I am seeing is heavy. I am seeing rain – the cloud is darker. The fulfillment of 2015 – pray for it,” Joshua told congregants on February 9th 2014 in a clip uploaded to YouTube channel ‘Emmanuel TV’. “Is that not the time of elections? Democracy is sweet – pray that your democracy would not be rubbished,” he continued. Clarifying further, the cleric added, “I am seeing disagreement at the end of the day and that disagreement can result to anything. Nigeria, these are the challenges you are going to face – challenges of disagreement… They will want to fight; we have to pray.” The clip concluded with another segment of Joshua addressing his congregation, this time on November 9th 2014. “Pray for your nation,” he said. “If you are able to cross this election, you cross it all. The election you are about to do will determine Nigeria.” The elections, which were scheduled to hold on February 14th 2015, have been shifted to 28th March, in a move widely criticized as being ‘undemocratic’. The electoral commission cited security concerns as the reason for the postponement with several areas in the north-east of the country still under the control of Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram. SOURCE: http://www.nigerianeye.com/2015/02/video-how-tb-joshua-prophesied-nigerian.html Last year on Sunday, 9th February 2014, Prophet T.B. Joshua spoke prophetically about the upcoming Nigerian elections earlier scheduled to hold this February now postponed to March/April. In his words,” Pray for 2015.What I am seeing is heavy. I am seeing rain the cloud is darker. The fulfilment of 2015 – pray for it. Is that not time of your election? Democracy is sweet- pray so that your democracy will not be rubbished. |
I definitely remember Prophet T.B. Joshua saying something about this way back in February 2014. He was saying that we should pray against the democracy in Nigeria being rubbished... I will watch Emmanuel TV today... perhaps he will talk about it. |
Wow! |
I repeat once again. This is another thing that separates TB Joshua from the rest of his Pentecostal colleagues in the vineyard - he distances himself from politics. "The nature of our job does not permit us to take sides," he recently said. Ride on, sir! |
It was told to me by someone present during his speech that one of the 60 reasons he mentioned was the sloppy way the government handled the building collapse at SCOAN. I mean that the government has covered up the truth concerning the strange plane that bombed The Synagogue by setting up the coroner’s inquest that refuses to deal with the real issues – by looking for the plane. Please confirm ![]() |

Adeboye said several years ago that he can never worship in TB Joshua's church - but today, TB Joshua is waving the flag of Christianity higher while Redeemed continues to be embroiled in political and material controversies. It is good that TB Joshua is not part of PFN and CAN - they have soiled the name of Christianity in today's Nigeria. |
Very poignant message...
