SCOAN Building Collapse: Why Lagos Govt Must Emulate Akwa Ibom By Kehinde Oyetimi Last updated Dec 15, 2018 SINCE the unfortunate collapse of the guest house of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) on September 12, 2014, the pain that followed for families of the deceased and senior prophet T.B. Joshua was unimaginable. In a moving tribute in remembrance of the departed martyrs of faith, Prophet Joshua earlier this year stated that “From eternity’s perspective, death is not a period; it is only a comma because of Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection. “When a believer dies, he goes into glory, where there is no conflict. Heaven is our home. A man may die young yet be satisfied with living but a wicked man is not satisfied even with long life.” It has been four long years but the memory of the righteous is never forgotten. Sadly, the Lagos State government has only been drawn in a legal battle against the prophet since the unfortunate incident. This should not be so. Prophet Joshua has been using his God-given resources to ensure that the memory of the deceased and the care of the families they left behind are duly catered to. It will be recalled that a similar incident occurred in AkwaIbom State following the building collapse of Reigners Bible Church in 2016, leading to many deaths. Despite the loss of human life, the AkwaIbom State government has only been consistent in providing succour to the presiding pastor of the church and those affected. The AkwaIbom State governor, Emmanuel Udom, went a step further by absolving the pastor of the church of any blame. Aside this, the government stood against pressing legal proceedings and instead has been providing financial and moral support for those affected including the pastor. But the case of Prophet TB Joshua has not been so. Despite his immense contributions to Lagos State and to Nigeria as a whole, he has only received vilifications which should not be. It will be recalled that security camera footage that indicated the orchestrated collapse of the SCOAN building has been admitted in court yet the Lagos State government has not stopped its legal battle. The Lagos government should take a cue from the AkwaIbom government in being supportive and stop its prolonged fight. A fight against God’s prophet is a fight against the almighty creator himself. Since the commencement of his ministry, Prophet Joshua has only been interested in doing his father’s business which primarily focuses on bringing hope to a distressed generation with the message of Jesus. How has the Lagos government provided succour for the families of the departed? Again, how has the government helped SCOAN in moving past the sad occurrence? How has the government encouraged Prophet Joshua? He should be encouraged in pursuing his God-given assignment and not condemned. Despite the persecution, he has not stopped been a blessing to Lagos, its environs and the world at large. The true Christian is encouraged to believe by the word of God that the journey of the believer only begins here but the goal is Heaven where God lives and has His throne. In his message, while celebrating the memory of these departed Christians, Prophet Joshua calls for more trust and confidence in Jesus Christ. According to him, “Whether we die young or old, whatmatters is the grace to continue living hereafter. It is now four years since our beloved brothers and sisters slept in the Lord. We must realise that their death is an unavoidable call – a call to our Heavenly home that no one can disobey. “Jesus said that if you do not take up your cross and deny yourself daily and perhaps even get killed for your belief in Him, you are not worthy of Him (Matthew 10:38, Matthew 16:24). The level at which satan attacks us seems to be equal to the level of our commitment to the Lord. I don’t think enough people understand this. If you are totally committed to God, He will take up satan’s challenge against you. “As soon as we make a true conversion, a commitment asking Jesus to purchase us, we become Jesus’ property. Then satan hates us the same way he hates Jesus. That is why the moment we are truly saved, we are engaged in a phenomenal battle (John 15:18-22). We cannot separate warfare from salvation. True salvation is going to put you into direct conflict with satan. “Many of us would say, “Why should I suffer or die? After all, Jesus won the victory on the Cross and suffered for me?” But the question we need to ask ourselves is, “What did Jesus say?” He said, “I have said unto you, the servant is not greater than his Master. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you” (John 15:20). “Anyone who claims that he does not have to suffer because Jesus did it for him is indirectly saying that he is greater than his Master. He is actually contradicting what Jesus said. Basically, we need to give up our lives here on earth and gain eternal life in Heaven. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we are accepting citizenship in Heaven and death here on earth. “Once Christ purchases us, we become aliens here on earth and there is a barrier between us and everything here on earth. We are servants, we simply obey the command of our Master. We do not decide what suffering we must bear. “Many people have been serving the Lord fervently and have come into difficult life situations because of being mistreated by either wicked men or carnal Christians. The truth is that they have been treated unjustly. But to become offended would only fulfil the enemy’s purpose of getting them out of the will of God. If you stay free from offence, you will stay in God’s will. If you become offended, you will be takencaptive by the enemy to fulfil his own purpose and will. “If we are Christ’s followers, we must follow His example. If He could forgive the people who were killing Him, we can certainly find a way to forgive those who hurt us. When we cannot forgive, we hurtourselves more than anyone. Nursing a grudge damages our heart. Life is too short to waste our time on things that have no lasting value or significance. “From eternity’s perspective, death is not a period; it is only a comma because of Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection. When a believer dies, he goes into glory, where there is no conflict. Heaven is our home. A man may die young yet be satisfied with living but a wicked man is not satisfied even with long life. “Those who try to kill us are only helping us to go home and rest. But those who send us home will go into further conflict; they will have more questions to answer than when they were alive. The wicked seem to prosper now and live without a care but they will spend eternity interror and despair. “How can we honour the memory of the martyrs of faith? Endeavour by the grace of God to live for the Lord and give yourself to the needs of others. Romans 14:8 – “If we live, we live for the Lord; and if wedie, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.” What a blessed memorial!” The government and people of AkwaIbom have shown a template of temperance, which the Lagos State government should. • Oyetimi writes via joyetimi2002@gmail.com SOURCE: https://www.tribuneonlineng.com/179312/

MAYOR BETHLEHEM, THE CAPITAL OF CHRISTMAS, GREETS TB JOSHUA VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0Ij0LFSB5w Prophet T.B. Joshua recently posted a video from Mrs. Vera Baboun, the Mayor of Bethlehem, on his Facebook page. The mayor who described her city as the Capital of Christmas greeted TB Joshua and his supporters. She said, “To my dear friend, T.B. Joshua, the General Overseer of the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, Merry Christmas from the capital of Christmas, the city of Bethlehem. This year our message to Bethlehem was delivered on the 3rd of December calling for peace, love, and hope; the real message of Bethlehem. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all. To all of the Prophet’s supporters, thank you very much for supporting Bethlehem as well.” Also wishing T.B. Joshua and family a merry Christmas was The President of the Franciscan Foundation for the Holy Land, Fr. Peter Vasko, who is well known for his social activism for the Christian community in Holy Land. Implying that he has partnered with T.B. Joshua on charitable works in the Holy Land, he said, “We know that you have a great love for the Church and the Holy Land and we look forward to being with you in a week or two to show you the many, many programs that we are doing to help the Christians in the Holy Land.” T.B. Joshua recently visited the Biblical city of Bethlehem in August where he held meetings with a number of government officials and received awards from a United Nations recognized Israeli rescue and relief organization called ZAKA and the Mayor of Bethlehem herself for his global humanitarian efforts.

I was casually browsing YouTube at work today when I found this crazy video. Is this a common practice in Akwa Ibom? I have never heard of it before... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfsEPe_J8fU

There are two kinds of religious leaders, the ones who are simply loved by their fan base, and those who wield a lot of power across. This list is for the second group. It's that time of the year when Pulse recognises people for their work. We acknowledge those who have made a name for themselves or maintained their already known names. This list is of religious leaders that are very powerful in Nigeria. Here are five most influential religious leaders of 2016. 1. Prophet T.B Joshua: This man has done some things, things most Men of God could never live down. Yet somehow, he manages to rise up above everything with his die-hard followers clapping for him. He is the preacher everyone loves to hate, but he undeniably has the ears of most Nigerians. When he speaks, people listen. This makes him the most influential Man of God in this country. 2. Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye: The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God is simply revered. In fact, I think i can say he is adored and worshipped by his many devoted church members. Even people that do not go to his church hold him in high esteem. Little wonder, he is fondly called 'Daddy G.O.' 3. Bishop David Oyedepo: The founder and General Overseer of Living Faith Church also known as Winners’ Chapel has faced a lot of criticisms over the years. This year, he was dragged on the Internet for saying that the expensive school fees have been approved by God. He was also attacked when his daughter, Joy, performed an unbelievable 'miravle.' In spite of these, he is still loved and admired by many Nigerians. There is no doubt that he has a lot of effect many people. 4. Pastor Paul Adefarasin: This man has managed to capture the hearts of many people, especially Lagosians. He gained major popularity points when he started The Experience Lagos in 2015! This interdenominational Gospel concert with great musical talents is a favorite for most people. The fact that he can get top notch artists like Cece Winans, and more to show up proves how influential he is. Over 750,000 worshippers were in attendance this year. 5. Sultan of Sokoto: Muhammadu Sa'ad Abubakar IV, the 20th Sultan of Sokoto, is no doubt the most influential man in the Islamic society. This is because he is considered the spiritual leader of Nigerian Muslims. He announces all major events like the Ramadan, and so on. He is also the chairman of Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs. He recently celebrated his 10th anniversary on November 5, 2016. This huge event was attended by dignitaries like President Buhari, former president Olusegun Obasanjo, Senate president Bukola Saraki, Speaker Yakubu Dogara, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state, Rochas Okorocha of Imo state, Reverend Father Matthew Kukah, the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II, and the Ooni of Ife. Honourable Mention: All South African pastors. The dictionary describes influence as 'the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behaviour of someone or something, or the effect itself.' This is the perfect definition of what S.A preachers. How else can we explain why anyone would drink Dettol, allow a pastor spray Doom insecticide on them, drive over them, put them in freezers. e.t.c. Kudos to them because they wield a different kind of influence that Nigerian pastors simply do not have. Who is your most influential Man of God? Has anyone ever heard the statement, "Our detractors cause us to be known all over the world." Keep up the good job guys. Keep accusing TB Joshua for anything and everything. You are taking him higher ;-) |
The Northern Muslim and Christian faith forum, a Northern Socio-Religious organization has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to recognize the contribution of Prophet. T.B Joshua to National development. This is as they also called on the Federal government to as a matter of urgency partner with the Religious Leader for the social economic development of the country. A statement from the group made available to newsmen in Kaduna stated that Prophet. T.B Joshua is a renowned preacher with followers scattered all over the globe and his humanitarian gestures are unrivaled in Nigeria. The statement jointly signed by the Coordinator Ustaz Bello Gazali and Secretary General, Yohanna James noted that recently after the earthquake in Ecuador the Prophet and Emmanuel TV Partners reached out by chartering a cargo plane which carried 20 tons of emergency relief to distressed areas affected by the devastating earthquake. The statement also said “An Israeli rescue and relief organization recognized by the United Nations, ZAKA had taken cognizance of the numerous other charitable deeds done by Prophet T.B. Joshua and the Emmanuel TV Team. Consequently, ZAKA’s chairman, Rabbi Yehuda Meshi Zahav came to The SCOAN last week and escorted Prophet T.B. Joshua to Israel to award him for his efforts and to also invite him to partner with them to advance the work of God in Israel.” The Forum therefore said it has become pertinent for Nigeria to recognize the effort of the Prophet and recognize his achievements for the country. They said Government also need to take the Prophet serious as his prophecy about food scarcity in the beginning of the year has come to pass with the attendant hardship in the country. The Forum said many persons that heed the prophecy and went back to the farm especially in the north are now reaping bountifully, and called on the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to tap his spiritual and economic wisdom towards moving the country forward. The statement also revealed that plans are already on ground for Muslims and Christians in the north to join hands and honour Prophet T.B. Joshua for his humanitarian efforts which do not discriminate and urge other Religious leaders in the county to emulate him in assisting the less privileged ones in the society. BreakingNews 23/6/16 - SCOAN: Lagos State Commissioner Contradicts Self Contradictory statements from the Lagos State Government witness at the resumed hearing of the trial of the contractors who handled the construction of the collapsed building belonging to The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) marred events on Wednesday 22nd June 2016. Consultant Urban Planner and former Commissioner, Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr Toyin Adedamola Ayinde told the court that the CCTV footage showing the sequence of the collapse had been sent to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for analysis. However, after admitting that he received a response from the aviation agency, he failed to state categorically its contents, leading several onlookers to suggest he was deliberately covering such information on the premise that it failed to corroborate with his own narrative. The presiding judge, Justice Lawal Akapo, tried severally to have the witness state the contents of the response without any success, casting further aspersions on the integrity of his witness. Ayinde continued by making contradictory statements concerning the distance of the aircraft that hovered over the building and the building itself. Moreso, having told the court on Tuesday June 21, 2016 that he had observed an aircraft hovering over the building in the CCTV footage, the former commissioner told the court today that the aircraft did not directly fly over the building. As the witness struggled to make articulate and categorical statements, Justice Lawal Akapo expressed his concerns, observing that due to the technicalities involved, it would be difficult to understand the witness who, rather than help the court in establishing facts, seemed to be confusing it the more. All efforts by the prosecution counsel led by the Lagos DPP, Idowu Alakija to stampede the court into believing that the aircraft couldn’t have been responsible for the collapse of the building were vehemently rejected by the defense counsel. E.L Akpofure, SAN had earlier raised an objection to that effect to which Justice Akapo concurred. The hearing is set to resume on Monday, June 27, 2016. http://nigeriamasterweb.com/Masterweb/breakingnews-23616-scoan-lagos-state-commissioner-contradicts-self |

On Friday 3rd June 2016, the trial of the engineers that handled the construction of the collapsed guest house belonging to The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) resumed at Lagos High Court, Ikeja. A witness from the Lagos State Government, Engineer Victor Oyenuga presented a report of the panel set up by the Counsel of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN) and the Nigerian Building and Roads Research Institute (NIBRRI) to investigate the possible cause of the controversial collapse in September 2014. While being cross-examined by the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecution, Idowu Alakija, Oyenuga, who is the former President of the Institution of Structural Engineers of Nigeria, revealed that the only fault found in the building’s structure was on ‘beam seven’ which he claimed was not adequate enough to carry the weight of the building. He however told the court that the purported inadequacy of the said beam was not significant enough to be blamed for the collapse of the building, observing that “only God can determine the actual cause”. Testifying further, Engineer Oyenuga overruled the possibility of foundational failure being the cause of the collapse. He observed that independent investigations revealed that the collapsed building had a loading capacity of 330 kN/m2 whereas 800 is the maximum capacity for a structure of that size. He concluded by admitting that the foundation did not exceed the loading capacity even when the initial report from COREN and NBBRI estimated the capacity at 550 kN/m2. This revelation contradicts one of the findings of the coroner’s court that stated that foundational failure was one of the causes of the building’s collapse. It would be recalled that the ongoing trial was one of the recommendations of the coroner’s court, which stated that structural errors were behind the collapse. The outcome was immediately dismissed by The SCOAN as being biased and one-sided, an assertion reiterated by several human rights groups and concerned observers, who have since called on the government to review the report of the coroner. Counsel to the defendants, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN) thereafter urged the court to adjourn for further hearing. Justice Lawal Akapo, who was commended by court observers for his calm and impartial disposition, adjourned further hearing to Monday, June 20, 2016. Nosa Osazuwa was present during court proceedings. He wrote in from Lagos, Nigeria |
In a video released on YouTube, T.B. Joshua revealed more about the food scarcity Nigeria is facing now. He referred to his prophecy in November last year where he said that there would be large scale food scarcity and shortage of food. He said we have seen scarcity but not yet large scale and that it is only going to increase and get worse. He said that the future of our country is crying for help. What is happening now in Nigeria is gradually bringing us to our knees. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHmeNurv4t0 |
A video showing T.B. Joshua's prophecies concerning Nigeria's current plight has been released. Last Sunday, T.B. Joshua read from a list of his prophecies for the year and expanded on the points. He had said that there will be large scale scarcity and shortage of food. Joshua stated that we have seen scarcity but not yet large scale, that everything is going to get worse! He said we should invest our money on food, rather than on building a house or buying land at this time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHmeNurv4t0 This reminds me of when Joseph prophesied to egypt about the impending famine in the Bible. Perhaps our leaders should pay more attention to this man. In the Old Testament, it was the prophet's who interceded for the kings, giving them warnings and advice on how to govern. Today, each man is to himself. Perhaps our leaders should take a leaf from the kings of old and acknowledge a prophet's presence while he is still here! |
A shocking new twist has emerged in the tale of the armed robber who was re-arrested in Ghana on Monday, May 16 2016 after controversially absconding under police guard. According to a Facebook post by popular Nigerian ‘Prophet’ T.B. Joshua, the detainment of the notorious suspect in his hometown of Kwetri-Adentia had surprisingly ‘spiritual’ undertones. Kweku Yeboah, the alleged leader of a brutal robbery attack near Sunyani, Ghana on Monday, May 2, 2016, escaped from police custody several days later whilst being nursed at a hospital for injuries he sustained during the incident. With the suspect on the loose and fear rife in the community, the policeman under whose watch Yeboah escaped was instantly implicated and given a ten-day ultimatum to produce him or face disciplinary action. According to Joshua’s Facebook page, the policeman in question decided to seek ‘divine intervention’ by visiting Joshua’s church after six days of frantic searching had elapsed without any sign of success. “I had a suspect escape from my custody in the hospital when I was detailed to guide him,” Constable Edwin Akpalu is seen narrating in an accompanying video uploaded to Facebook, adding that he faced expulsion from the police and a probable prison sentence. The policeman vividly detailed how Yeboah, who escaped from the handcuffs which were tied to his hospital bed, covered himself with a white bed sheet whilst fleeing in the dead of night. Akpalu had attempted to shoot the suspect as he was running hurriedly away but held back as a nurse was moving along the same corridor, fearing he might kill an innocent health official. “Some friends advised me to go for black magic, which I was contemplating,” the constable admitted as days passed without any signs of Yeboah’s recapture. “I told my dad about the issue. He told me I should not go and kneel down to any black power because God is the final authority, that I should come to The SCOAN to see Senior Prophet T.B. Joshua and whatever he says is final.” According to the Facebook post, Joshua sent a message to the embattled constable, assuring him that the suspect would be apprehended as he had been ‘chained spiritually’, proceeding to cover his transport costs with a gift of $1,000. Akpalu collapsed on the floor upon hearing Joshua’s pronouncement. “Thank you Prophet T.B. Joshua for vindicating me, or else four days from now, I would be in jail,” he tearfully acknowledged. The re-arrest of Yeboah is seen as a confirmation of Joshua’s ‘prophecy’. It comes on the heels of the cleric’s prediction of an impending terrorist attack in Ghana which made headline news across the country last month. Flexherbal:Yes, it does look old which is probably why the building collapsed due to structural failure, but the scoan building was fairly new and it just came down all of a sudden without warning. |
Compare the Kenya Building Collapse to The SCOAN Building Incident VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yy80Lfcq90I On April 29th 2016, a seven storey residential building in Nairobi, Kenya collapsed. The structure had failed after days of heavy rains and flooding. Following the collapse, parts of the building remained upright leaving room for rescue teams to save many people from the wreckage. "Seven people are confirmed dead and 121 people have been rescued and rushed to various hospitals in Nairobi," the Nairobi County police chief told Reuters. This clearly contrast to the building that collapsed in Lagos, Nigeria at The SCOAN in September 2014. Many have since argued that the collapse at The SCOAN was not as a result of structural failure, but a controlled demolition. When comparing the two incidents there are notable differences. It can be seen that The SCOAN building did not fall to one side as most do when there is a defect in the structure, but rather it fell on it’s own footprint, on top of itself leaving a slim chance for survival. On the contrary, when the structure of the Kenyan building failed, it came down on one side leaving parts of the building still standing. This made room for more than 121 people to be rescued from the wreckage leaving only seven people confirmed to be dead as at the time of filling this report. Another noticeable difference between the two cases is that the Kenyan building did not collapse suddenly but there were warning signs that the structure was failing. Residents were complaining that the building was shaking and making noise before it finally collapsed. "They told me that the house was shaking. When I arrived here I found that the house had collapsed." a resident explained. Operation Centre director Colonel Nathan Kigotho, told reporters at the scene, "The biggest cause of this was that the building was next to the river. The water most likely undermined the foundation," he said. Lower floors of the building crumpled, leaving some of the top storey almost intact. Broken bed frames, mattresses and clothes protruded from the wreckage. Clear CCTV footage of the SCOAN building collapsed shows that the building suddenly came down within a matter of seconds without any previous warning. Lets not forget the fact that residents of the collapsed Huruma building, Kenya were able to rescue household equipments such as furniture, mattress, kitchen utensils and other household appliances from the debris. Opposite was the case with The SCOAN building incident as there was no trace of the furnitures or household appliances. The entire building came down in dust making it impossible to recover any item from it.

I watched it live on Emmanuel TV when the lady was testifying and I don't know why you are blaming Prophet T.B. Joshua?? He wasn't even there during her testimony?? Do you think that someone who is always beating the drum for peace and unity in the body of Christ would have allowed such a woman to speak if he was aware? It is obvious that the workers of The SCOAN are the ones that allowed this woman to talk. Please, let us blame those who deserve blame and leave the ministers of God out of this. As for if this article is true, I didn't watch Celebration TV yesterday but if the oracle of God said such things, I have to say that he is no better than what he claim that TB Joshua is... A real man of God would never utter anything about any other man of God, that is what I know for sure.. |
Hmmm... what shall I believe now ? |
The most important thing is that the nation is secured from any imminent threat, whoever said it. It seems like bringing this issue into the limelight has really forced the government to spring into action. According to Ghanaian media, a statement came from the presidency urging the general public to stay calm. This cannot be a coincidence. TB Joshua either has serious connections within the secret services in Ghana or maybe his predictions are getting more accurate and on point. Worth a thought isn't it? |
I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PANAMA PAPERS – TB JOSHUA This is an official statement from Prophet T.B. Joshua: “I was shocked to find a report written in Premium Times claiming that the Panama Papers revealed a shell company called Chillon Consultancy Limited in the British Virgin Islands, allegedly owned by me. Whoever is involved in this malicious write-up and propaganda with an obvious intent to defame my person and the ministry, remember what the Bible says in Luke 2:34 – “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many… and to be a sign that will be spoken against.” “I am not a businessman and have no business whatsoever. What God has given me is more than enough. I have nothing to do with the Panama Papers. As for me and my family, we shall remain in the vineyard of God. “Premium Times – do not allow your company to be used. Do not allow your company to stand against God. This is a lie! Take note – this news was written by the same journalist who alleged that I bribed him during the building incident and went to different channels – both local and international – to propagate these fabrications. Since the building incident, there have been a series of threats towards the ministry and my person by this same journalist, Nicholas Ibekwe, who represents a gang of people. “After everything that has been done in an attempt to destroy this ministry, this is what he has resorted to. Even the picture used in the write-up is taken from the Mexico Crusade I recently held. My own case is a good example. “Beware of those using the Panama Papers for fraudulent purposes! This is a very big mistake the fraudsters have made. Those who read this report – take time to do your findings. It is malicious.” "Note – people are misusing the data in the Panama Papers for fraud to attack innocent people." Funny that this article comes out the same day a lecturer exposes Papa Ayo to be fake... "She was then given a letter to see the CAN president. She borrowed money to go to his church where she saw him one on one and he gave her his number and items to wear for protection. The man asked her why she had anything to do with T.B. Joshua and told her that unless he becomes a member of the Pentecostal organization, he is not recognized. During the service, a pastor came from Jerusalem with what he called the ‘blood of Jesus’ and said it was for sale. The pastor’s wife stood up and bought the blood from the pastor for one million naira. The owner of the church then told Dr Azuh to come out for deliverance. They poured the blood on her and gave her the blood to drink. After returning home from the service, she received a sack letter from her work. She called the pastor and complained. He told her that when God wanted to bless her, some doors would be closed..." Excerpt from testimony shared by Dr. Mary Ifeoma Azuh on 10/04/16 on Emmanuel TV. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74sF47qIkdY On 8th March 2016, a five-storey building in Lekki, Lagos collapsed, causing the deaths of at least 10 people. Almost immediately, structural failure was blamed as the cause of the collapse. The building fell to the side and even some parts of it remained intact following the collapse. However, when a building collapsed at The SCOAN in September 2014, if fell on its own footprint without tilting to the left or right and no single part of the structure remained intact. I was doing my regular YouTube browsing this morning while at work and I stumbled across this video from TB Joshua. I can't just grasp as to whether it is real or fake. A part of me says it is FAKE while another part says opposite. I AM CONFUSED. Is there anyone that has experience in determining if a VIDEO has been tampered or if a video has some FOUL PLAY, please, help me out with some EVIDENCE... Thanks A link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SX43lBn3dEA Thanks!!! |
I was reading up on the ever-worrying news about the economical turmoil that is on-going around the world as a result of the dropping oil prices and according To Michael Lynch, a Guest Contributor to Forbes Magazine Online , the real cause of the chaotic situation the financial world has found itself in is because too many Market Analysts are doing nothing but guessing how the market will look like tomorrow. According to him, "Listening to the cacophony of pundits and their prognostications can make it seem as if they are making random guesses, and that is more or less the case for many predictions. The bulk of economists and industry executives appearing on cable news or in print are just tossing out numbers that they believe have some potential of proving valid. Why? Because people care about prices." A simple Google Search today indicates that almost all economic analysts and forecasters on oil have been getting their forecasts wrong. Billions of dollars are being lost due to wrong forecasts. In an article written by Ihechukwu Njoku for NigeriaFilms in December, 2014, the writer made claims that T.B. Joshua had long ago predicted the drop in oil prices worldwide. According to him, TB Joshua said “Whatever your country has discovered in terms of mineral resources which has been a source of income - causing corruption and fights, people living flamboyantly – those things, nobody will buy them. The price will drop drastically because all other countries have discovered their own,” he continued. “Nobody to buy them; you will drink them.” Does this mean that TB Joshua has remained the sole truthful forecaster whose "predictions" on the commodity. Controlled demolition? Infrasonic weapon? Boko Haram attack? ISIS? The theories about what really happened at the church are so many - but it’s clear The Synagogue collapse was not just an ordinary case of structural issues or substandard materials. Anyone with a bit of common sense will realise this. |
Hypocrisy, no matter how cleverly managed, will eventually break into the limelight... |
HAJJ TRAGEDY: Nigeria’s deafening Silence I am a Nigerian. I am a Muslim. And I am angry… Almost a month has elapsed since the calamitous stampede at the Hajj in Mecca and we are no closer to any concrete answers about what really happened. The Nigerian death toll in the incident is creeping alarmingly higher – 199 at the last count with a further 121 missing. That’s 320 people. Gone. Real people with hopes, aspirations, plans for the future. Sucked from them in a crushing matter of moments. Parents cruelly stolen from children. Husbands separated forever from their partners. It’s nauseating. My close friend in Kaduna lost his wife in the tragedy and no amount of words or religious counsel can replace her. He still wakes up each morning in mourning, an empty space beside him on the bed. The Associated Press put the current toll at 2,121 (with well over 1,000 still ‘missing’), making it easily the worst tragedy in the Hajj’s history and the deadliest crowd crush disaster to have occurred in modern times. To add insult to injury, the Saudi Arabian government have refused to amend their initial statement that only 769 perished, despite the clear evidence from figures tallied by countries involved which tripled this. However, for me, the worst part of this tragedy is not the huge number of fatalities. It’s not the images of Saudi officials bulldozing dead bodies into a heap to ‘clean up’ in the stampede aftermath. It’s not the brazen attempts for officials to trade blames – from African pilgrims refusing to obey instructions to Iran deliberately instigating the stampede to tarnish Saudi reputation. No. The worst tragedy here is the deafening silence of the countries affected. Rather than raising a clarion call for justice for the victims, compensation for the bereaved families and an independent investigation into what really happened, it appears most countries have swept the incident under the rug. I can’t talk for other nations but let me stir the hornet’s nest a little in my own country Nigeria. The Nigerian response to this horrific incident smacks of the highest level of hypocrisy as it sadly appears Buhari and his cohorts have chosen to tread the cowardly path of apathy. It’s true Nigeria’s Senate President Bukola Saraki is facing heat right now over his assets but did anyone not notice what he said when a Saudi delegation visited last week? “I think it’s not about who is at fault but how do we ensure that we improve,” he is quoted as saying. Yes, that was it from Nigeria’s number three citizen. No call for justice. No demand for the real figures to be released. No talk of recompense for affected families. No insistence on an independent enquiry to unravel the truth behind the tragedy. No assertion on the need for responsibility to be duly taken. Just some wrapped up political hogwash, concluded by a call for enhancement of the visa processing between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia for prospective pilgrims. Some families still don’t know the fate of their loved ones and Saraki is already planning for the next Hajj. Is the value and sanctity of human life so easily trodden upon? My reason for using hypocrisy as a key word in describing Nigeria’s lukewarm response is born of comparing it to the last major tragedy of ‘religious’ proportions that befell our country. When T.B. Joshua’s church hostel ‘collapsed’ or ‘imploded’ (pending on which side of the story you believe), sending 115 Christian pilgrims to an early grave, the Nigerian government was quick to apportion blame on the church and implement a predetermined court case to ascertain those at guilt. Even when CCTV footage was released by Joshua with compelling evidence that a military aircraft was connected to the tragedy, Nigeria’s government refused all requests to reveal the identity and assignment of the strange plane which encircled the ill-fated building four times, nor its occupants. On that singular point alone, why are Nigeria (and other countries for that matter) not insisting that Saudi Arabia make the CCTV footage of the collapse public – if truly they have no culpability or dirty hands? It is well known that an elaborate security camera network was set up several years ago capturing every detail of the entire stretch of the Hajj journey. Perhaps the truth lies within those records – just as TB Joshua’s CCTV footage revealed the truth behind the uncanny nature of the buildings falling. My point here is that the government deliberately tried to frame and blame Joshua for The Synagogue incident (without any pertinent consideration for the possibility of sabotage), making their nonchalance and refusal to question the Saudi officials all the more irritating. Perhaps they feel they can pick on someone like Joshua because he’s an individual and has no palpable political clout, as opposed to the oil-rich Saudi officials. Any impartial observer will scream at the arrogance and callousness of the Saudi response to the tragedy yet it appears it’s still ‘business as usual’ in Mecca. The Hajj will continue and it’s likely no changes ‘in the system’ will result. When will Nigeria genuinely stand up for what is right and champion the cause of justice – irrespective of the religious, political or ethnic implications? I pray to Allah that my eyes would behold such a day. SOURCE: http://www.sabreakingnews.co.za/2015/10/20/hajj-tragedy-nigerias-deafening-silence/ Intriguing opinion piece. I for one certainly agree...
