leksite120: please I need answer to this.. thanks I understand you want to divert into IT, but the truth is you have to be able to convince the visa officer that you have enough experience. The best thing to do is to apply for a program that is directly related to your undergraduate degree then when you get to canada you switch. |

Hello everyone, my passport will expire by May 2023 and I’m still on the process of graduate school admission for a 2yr program.
Is it advisable I request for passport renewal now or wait till I start my visa processing ? If yes what option do I select here.

Hello, how can you be applying for a masters degree with HND ? I’m in sure that works in canada because your undergraduate is HND. Please let him just face college that’s the best for him. |

1Kaycee1: Well, it's actually stated clearly on their website that proof of English test is required for candidates whose English Language is not their first Language. That is why you are getting the notification to submit the test result. I never got that notification during my own application process.
You may have to contact the school via email and explain the error made during your application and then ask that the English Language requirements be waived.
This is just my opinion though, but I believe it'll solve the issue. Thanks, I have mailed them already. I hope something is done |

1Kaycee1: I got an offer from the school for MEng. without submitting any English Language test. I only submitted Letter of English proficiency from my first degree. Just ensure you select English Language as your first language during application. Thanks, Omg! I went back to my application and saw that I didn’t select English as my first language, it indicated other. Please I hope this won’t affect my application because I have decided to upload English proficiency letter from my university |

mrprolifik: Canada doesn't issue visa past the expiry date on passport. So it's better if you can find a way to renew your passport on time. If I’m clear on this, Is it at the port of entry that the years of stay would be issued? |

I have a pay a non-refundable fee of 1k CAD which will be part of my first semester school fees to book my space. And I was giving 30days to make this payment or I loose my spot.
Please guys is this the right thing to do? Has anyone here gotten admission from this school? I’m a bit confuse hear and I need advice.
By the way I intend applying for M-Power loan which will ease the stress of the funding part for me. Hello, please I need to know , did lakehead universities contact your referees to recommend you after you applied? |

Justashygirl: The best thing to do is email the school and let them know that English is your first language and they'll tell you what to do. According to that letter you don't need English exam. Thank you |

SLOVFO: Hello friends, can chipper cash USD card be used to pay for study permit application? I intend funding my virtual chipper Visa card and used it to pay for my study permit application. By the way, can USD denominated cards be used to make payments that are in CAD? Use payday app, it’s very effective and that’s what I have been using to pay for my school application. Chipper app exchange rate is on the high side. |
