Application fee to five schools is expensive. You only need to apply to at most 3 if you're not certain of what the outcome would be.

To help you, you need to know if you need to opt for a master's or PGD,

Masters are usually (not always) more expensive than PGD if you're on a budget.
You will require a GPA from 2'1 above and your undergrad transcript to scale thru while you only need as basic as your Waec result to apply for PGD.
You get better funding in terms of Scholarships with masters unlike PGD (not always).
Acceptance to a masters program can take up to a month or more while a PGD can be in 2 - 3weeks.
Masters avail you the opportunity to further in terms of PhD unlike PGD.
Both avail you a pgwp if the school is a DLI and your program duration is 8 months and above.

So do further research and shoot.

Good luck.

Thanks so much for your kind response, I graduated with a 2’1 and I’ll give masters a shot.

Point of correction. Agent can only help you to apply, they don't have any power to offer you admission. This kind of question makes you susceptible to scammers.

Besides, why don't you make a little research on those universities you listed and apply yourself? This thing is not difficult nah.

Thank you, I have been doing research that why I have been able to filter those schools out because they offer what I want, I was only skeptical on getting the admission since I heard the competition is always high. Since you already suggested I do it myself and it’s not that difficult I’ll give it a shot because I no even get money give agent like this application fee is a big deal already since I’m applying to like 5 schools. Thanks

Hello ActivatedDreams,

I like your name though. Lol

Now know it that land isn't just enough home ties. If you think showing millions plots of land as only home ties, you're getting wrong. For your hometie, you need to show how family, financially, economically, socially you're tied or established in your home country. All this is for them to see that you have what you will likely come back for after studies. Even though they know likely you won't.

But when you're acquiring land, have it written in your POF section of your SOP that due to the drastic drop in value of naira, you deemed it necessary to INVEST in real estate/ land so as to establish your money rather than leaving it idle in your bank account. Then do evaluation of such properties if you can. But where you can't, you can do affidavit of fact, which will state you're the owner and quote current price of the land. But when doing this, ensure you have atleast a year tuition ( if you haven't paid) and living expenses showing in your account. IRCC too like available and easily accessible fund(s)

Thank you so much for your time and I really appreciate , this is more than helpful. I’ll work with this asap.

Please house, I have been having issues with the amount of land to get to server as an home tier. Tho I’m still looking at other options I have to use as home tier.

My question is how much land can serve; can I buy a land of 50k or 100k Naira of like 2-5 plots with Deed of transfer documents?

Or can I use the lands in my village and do documents?

Hi everyone! I'm new to nairaland.
A friend of mine wants to do his masters degree in Canada. His CGPA is 2.84.
Pls, who knows any cheap universities in Ontario where he can do Construction management.
If there are not Universities in Ontario, then, other provinces will be appreciated.
Thanks a lot in advance for you contribution.

You can still get a masters degree if you hit 3.0 upwards on a scale of 4.0 in your last 60 units of courses taken.
Kindly check your transcripts and calculate the points of your last 60 units of courses taken and divided by the total units (60) if your CGPA hit 3.0 upwards then you are good to go.

Hi,

After submission, can I touch my funds? I need to buy fx and pay for another portion of my tuition fee.

It’s not advisable to touch it, what if IRCC requests for another proof of funds what will you do, submit only funds you won’t need to touch till your Visa is out.

Master's degree is good for you. You must enroll in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or something related to show academic progression

Do you have some work experience?
Do you have second class upper division?

If your answers are 'yes' to the two questions asked above, I will advise you go for a course that relates to what your job experience as this will show career progression instead of academic progression

Thanks for your response, I’m a Fresh graduate with no job experience yet, I Graduated with a second class upper division.

Hello Ma'am, I think you didn't get my point.
Yes, all Mpower loan will be disbursed to the school, and the school will remove their tuition. They are obligated to give the student the remaining balance... There's nothing like a school partnering with Mpower but they can't release the living expenses, if the applicant got an approved loan that is more than the tuition costs...
For example, if you got a $20,000 loan approval, and your tuition is $15,000, there is nothing like the school won't release the remaining $5,000 to you.

In your case, if you requested for an amount more than your 2 year tuition and got approved, the remaining will be sent to your personal account after you appear in person at the bursar office in your school.

I do attend Mpower seminar online every week, and same question has been asked. The host said, all schools partnering with Mpower support it, and it's part of the things they look into before they finalize partnering with an institutions.

Please does this mean, If I’m using mpower and I equest for extra 20k CAD for my 2 years expense, I just tell the visa that my living expenses is already with my school with proof? And I don’t need to show any funds in my own acct ? Please help to understand!!!

Financially, I believe you'll be well off if Full tuition is paid and &10k GIC is bought. Prove funds for subsequent years(if there is) and address other aspects of your application and your visa issuance is highly probable.

Since the money you will use to fund your GIC is aboki dollar which would be high, I think just leaving your naira in your bank account is sufficient for living expenses after paying your tuition fee.

Good day people, please I would be starting my Canada processing soon in general, I would like to ask is it advisable for me to convert my naira into Dollars(USD) or just leave it in naira.

I would just thinking because of the rate at which the value of naira is depreciating. And if I convert to USD and I want to use in Canada will the rate fall?
