Crime › Mother Faces Jail For Drowning Her 4-Year-Old Son by ada9ja(op):
Corby, 37, sobbed in court as she pleaded guilty Thursday to killing her son, Daniel, according to 10 News. The San Diego mom was so distraught that a superior court judge stopped the proceedings to allow her to compose herself.
The plea closes the case that beganon March 31, when Corby drove to a local police station and admitted that she'd drowned the boy in her bathtub, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. Police found the boy's lifeless body wrapped in a blanket in the back of Corby's SUV.
She also tried to drown herself, butfailed.
Corby reportedly said she couldn't handle the stress of caring for Daniel, who was diagnosed with having a high risk for autism whenhe was just a year old. Walter Escobar, an investigator with the District Attorney's Office, testified at one of Corby's hearings that sheclaimed she had no life because she was dedicated to her child.
She may be sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for the crime

Politics › Nigeria Needs To Be Privatise!! by ada9ja(op): 1:43pm On Dec 27, 2012
After looking at how Nigeria started, you will agree with me that we are not doing fine compare to other countries that started like us. According to UK Based scholar, who said Nigeria should be the richest country in the world but mismanagement and corruption eats us deep. Imagine where senators weekly earning is more than the developed countries president annual earning, we treat coruption case as a game of scrable, where no strong feelings like in China, Egypt, Malaysia where u dear not offend the masses and they re doing good. Nigeria has the highest poverty and unemployment rate in world but the highest wealth to make the former an history. What an irony! We have much bad present and upcoming politians, lack of managing skills and lack of love for one anoda. The only development in the country now is negative like terrorism, assanination, cyber crimes, porn like movies, porn like music video, etc. If you privatize naija, the new owner will want to impress us. Romance › How To Talk To A Girl You Barely Know/never Met On Facebook And Win Her by ada9ja(op): 9:35pm On Dec 20, 2012
1. One of the best things is perspective

Yes! Perspective!

Put yourself into her shoes, don't you think she would like to be talked to and complimented especially when the person on the other end (you) is being nice?

2. Women are not goddesses from Mount Olympus, or angels from the heavens

They are just humans, they feel and think much similar to males and don't think what they reply to you has anything to do with what they are feeling. It is just an online conversation, nothing more. The best things come in person, not over facebook! Chat should be used to ask the girl out, it isn't going to get you much farther than that.

Facebook chat is taken very seriously by many young women, so watch out what you say. If you're going to try and make a joke make sure it is understandable to her as it's just text. Sarcasm doesn't fly so well either as there really isn't any tone heard in an online conversation.

One of the main problems men run into while talking over facebook is they take most lines of it too seriously, overthinking a response that has been made, or thinking a long wait for a reply means something. Don't think about these things and just try and pick out if the girl is interested or not. If she isn't so be it, you can't have everyone you want and hell there's billions of girls out there.

Just follow these simple guidelines and you might be doing a little better than you are now.

1: Greet

Easy and simple. "Hello" "Hey!" "What's up?"

Don't bombard her with words, let the conversation flow, be yourself.

2: Conversation

Simple reply and answer, don't over think things and remember to put yourself in her shoes. How do you think she would feel about what your saying? Always have a high self esteem of yourself, this will help you a lot. Also, try getting a phone number. A good way to do this is "Hey, I've gotta go but I'd love to keep talking. Can I have your number/here's mine"

3: Ask her out

Seriously, why are you wasting your time in front of blue screen when you can be talking in real life. Even phone calls work well, try your best to see her.

Whatever happens, happens for a reason. Remember that, and good luck.

Dating And Meet-up Zone › The Dangers Of Online Dating by ada9ja(op): 1:20pm On Dec 20, 2012
Source www.freedatingtalks..com

Online dating is one of the most widely popular trends in the urban society nowadays. It has become one of the most convenient ways of meeting people and interacting with them. You can socialize with people across the globe, relaxing in the cozy environment of your house, with internet dating. However, very few people realize that there are a number of probable risks linked with this activity. The biggest threat is that since the identity of the person is anonymous, you will never be able to know his/her genuineness or any other ulterior motive that might be on his/her mind. For some more information on risks associated with online dating, read on.

Risks Of Online Dating

1. Manipulation of information is one of the most probable risks of online dating. It is not necessary that the person whom you are chatting with has registered true details about his/her own self. Age, sex and marital status are some of the most manipulated pieces of information.

2. Many men and women run scams on the net. They deliberately communicate with members of the opposite sex and once the other person falls for them, they start asking for money. The moment the money is wired, the person hears no more from his/her love. If, by any chance, the person is contacted again, it is only for more money.

3. Some people even ask you for your e-mail at once. Once you give them, they start mailing you dating spam and never turn up. Worse can be the case when they steal your identity and begin stalking you in real life.

4. At times, people you meet online may just appear right at your doorstep, even when you have not provided your address. Remember, all that one needs to be is a little internet savvy and he/she can hack sites, trace back IP addresses and use slips of personal data to locate a person in real life.

5. There is an increased rate of criminals logging onto online dating sites and fooling people.

6. Many online romantic affairs result in sexual abuse. Some members who sign up for adult online dating sites are married and are simply seeking sexual partners.

7. The abundance of offensive materials that are found online has increased the dangers of online dating by miles. Right from nude photographs to the more perverse and twisted materials, you can just be conned to almost any limit.

Caution

1. Trust your instincts and do not blindly fall for a person. Not only would you be emotionally and economically broken, but you can be ripped off your physical being as well. Just listen to your gut feeling and move off, if you smell anything fishy.

2. Never give your personal information, such as your mobile number, home address or anything that is personal. This might sound surprising, but a person can reach your doorstep only with a few details.

3. Usually people with alternate mode of interest are the ones who would take the first initiative, every time they see you online. Beware of such freaks. Even if you are a female, you should take the initial initiative.

4. Even if you have developed a comfort zone with the person, make sure you are on your own guard. Instead of providing him/her with your original email address, set up an anonymous email account. Do not give in your full name. This would protect your privacy.

5. In case the person has overloaded you with enough information about his/her background, consider going for a reality check. This would give you an opportunity to know whether the person is genuine or fake.

6. If the two of you have agreed to meet each other, make sure that the first meeting is in a public place, which is full of people. For additional safety, confide in a friend or two and let them be around you, without him/her knowing of it. Make sure you arrange for your pick and drop on your own.

I got the saying from Dudeoflife, a moslem by birth

"Might have been discussed before but here it goes... I'd rather pour iodine over my balls than go to church yet my partner feels like it's a good family thing to do if we ever get married. Can we ever be together when we have a fundamental difference of what we believe in and how we want to raise our children. I told her I think it's child abuse to take your children to church and get baptised when they don't know what is going on. Are we doomed?"

Romance › The 6 Reason Guys Beat Up Their Girlfriends by ada9ja(op): 8:30pm On Dec 19, 2012
Read carefully!

1. Batterers have an intense need to control the women they love : The biggest misconception about these guys is that they have "anger management" issues. They don't. They don't blow up at work or at the driver who cuts into their lane. Instead they have an overwhelming need to control their loved one—how she dresses, where she goes and whom she talks to. That's why, before they actually start using physical violence to stay in control, they are often constantly phoning and text messaging the object of their affections so that they know exactly what she is doing at all times.

2. Batterers do genuinely love the women they beat up : In fact, they are often obsessively in love with their girlfriends or wives, which makes them even more jealous and controlling—they just don't know the proper way to express it. They most likely grew up in a home where there was violence.

3: Guy guilt works. Women blame themselves for provoking their boyfriends : They get brainwashed into believing that they've done something wrong—"it was my fault for leading him to think I was cheating." Apparently Rihanna blames herself for inciting Chris and has been terribly worried about how the incident and criminal charges could affect his career.

4. When batterers apologize it's another form of taking control : Guys who beat up theirgirlfriends can be dramatically remorseful—crying, begging forforgiveness and promising to never become violent again. The apologies can seem so genuine that a battered girlfriend gets completely seduced back into continuing the relationship.

5. Guys who batter are insecure and have poor impulse control : It's weird. They can seem completely normal and stable at times. At work, they can present themselves as completely nice guys. It's the fear of losing their girlfriend or being unable to control her, that leads to the intense outbursts of rage and violence.

6. When guys batter they feel entitled to do it : They believe they have the right to use whatever means necessary to take control of the situation. If police arrive, they aren't ashamed of their behavior—they feel justified, i.e., "you deserved it, you were behaving like a slut."

Romance › 10 Keys To Healthy Relationships: A Must Read!!!!! by ada9ja(op): 1:06pm On Dec 19, 2012
1.Communication is an indispensable part of any healthy relationship. Good communication includes listening, taking time to have a conversation, respecting others’ opinions even when you disagree, and being honest, open and understanding. Good communication is respectful and does not include yelling, blaming, threats, demands, name calling, or threatening suicide if your partner leaves. These are examples of verbal abuse.

2. Trust is the key to any healthy relationship. Trust is created by mutual concern, honest and open communication, and shared decision-making and goals. Trust can be destroyed with jealousy, lies, or hurting your partner physically or emotionally. Trust is not isolating your partner from family and friends, or frequently accusing your partner of infidelity. This is emotional abuse.

3. Respect is fundamental to a healthy relationship. Respect is shown by gratitude, kindness, openness, consideration, and listening. Respect does not include disregard for another’s views or ethnicity, or forcing your partner to do something she or he does not want to do. Respect is not shown by hitting, kicking, scratching or biting your partner. This is physical abuse.

4. Patience is the foundation of a healthy relationship. Patience is the willingness to wait for another, controlling one’s temper, and tolerating those who are different or have limited capabilities. Patience does not include verbal or physical harshness, demeaning or controlling behaviors, or using physical violence to punish or intimidate. This is physical abuse.

5. Cooperation is necessary for a healthy relationship. Cooperation is working together as equals when making decisions, sharing household tasks and contributing to the welfare of the children in the home. Cooperation does not include inequality of responsibilities, blaming one another for relationship problems, or lying about or controlling money matters.

6.Individuality is a source of richness in a relationship. Individuality is expressing yourself, having your own friends, interests and hobbies, being comfortable to voice your opinions without being criticized, and allowing your partner to do so as well. Individuality does not include threatening, coercing, or forcing your partner to comply with your sexual demands. This is sexual abuse.

7.Leading by example is important to raising a successful family. Being an example teaches respect, work ethic, and social appropriateness and is not saying negative things about your partner, using physical force to get what you want, or neglecting the needs of your dependents. This teaches children that abusive relationships are acceptable.

8.Accountability is crucial in building healthy relationships. Accountability is assuming responsibility for your own actions, being dependable, following through with commitments, paying your debts and being honest. Accountability is not blaming someone else for your actions, or lying about what you have or have not done. Accountability is not one partner spending or withholding money meant for bills, food, or rent. This is economic abuse.

9. Freedom is a major factor in healthy relationships. Freedom is feeling safe to build relationships on your own, or to seek education and employment. Freedom is not being confined in one’s actions and ideas, or being restricted from access to friends and family. This is isolation, a type of abuse.

10.Honesty is essential to a healthy relationship. Honesty involves truthfulness, having integrity and being able to admit when you are wrong. Hiding things from your partner, having secret relationships, engaging in manipulation or coercion, making light of abuse or saying it did not happen, and shifting responsibility for abusive behavior is not honesty. This is emotional abuse.

Romance › How To Quit A Relationship With Ease by ada9ja(op):
1. Be certain you want to end the relationship . Don't use the threat of leaving as a tool to get your own way in an argument. If you say it, be prepared to back it up with the action, or else take the threat off the table before you make it. Discuss problems openly and directly with your partner before you make up your mind. Many men and women suffer for years andnever bring problems up with their partners. This isn't healthy.Feel free to seek couples counseling.

2.Make your decision when feeling calm and rational . If you're angry enough to walk out of a heated discussion between both of you, this isn't the time to make a break. Instead, leave after saying, "I need to calm down. I'm going to go talk with someone for a while. I will be back when I can be more reasonable." In other words, don't say, "I'm leaving," and walk out that minute without further explanation.

3. Choose your time wisely . Choose a time and place that will allow for both you and the person that you're about to dump to allow for the time and privacy to do it properly. Don't break up with someone right before they have a big test or are about to go to work. Fridaysare a suitable choice if it gives your soon-to-be-ex the weekend to recover somewhat. If you're in a hurry to leave the relationship (namely, you can't wait until Friday), tell your partner you need to take some time and you're going to stay with a friend for a night or two.

4.Do it ! Be firm in what you say––being wishy-washy in the vain hope you'll let the other person down "easy" will only cause more hurt. Hold strong, for you have already made your decision. This does not need to be a dramatic, escalating event. Get to the point and say that you don't want to be in the relationship anymore, that it isn't working for you. Avoid anycomment that gives the impression this is a trial separation and that you might resume things after a break. This is it.

5. Prepare for the worst . The dumpee will typically react with anger or with wonder, shock, panic. If she or he responds with anger, try to remain calm and attempt to calm him or her. If she or he begins raging, it is pointless to try to explain further––but don't just hang upor walk away. Instead, say, "It's not productive to just yell at oneanother. I've made my decision, and I won't change my mind, but I will talk with you if you can remain calmer. Take some time to settle down, and then call me - we can talk again then." If your ex does call, keep your word. Pick up the call. If there are questions, be honest and kind with your answers. Be prepared to answer their questions. Set up an exact time for you to discuss what went wrong, and do not cancel the meeting at the last moment.

6. Establish concrete boundaries for your future interaction . Once you have begun the process, be polite butfirm about these boundaries, and make it clear that they are non-negotiable. It is permissibleto cut him or her off without a chance to discuss what went wrong. Try to make the failed relationship as valuable as possible by turning it into a chance to learn and grow and as to what type of people to avoid.

7. Know when to walk away . One of the biggest mistakes made in ending a relationship isallowing the final death throes to go on and on. And on. And on. And on. It's one thing to finalize shared expenses, disentangle community property, etc. It's another thing to beat a dead horse endlessly.

8. Don't try to remain friends . Trying to "be friends" can prolong the agony of a breakup. Most often, it is best to make a clean break and spend time apart. After a time, perhaps three months, perhaps a year ormore, when you see one another, it won't hurt as much, and maybe then you can try to be friends with a clean slate. Even then, be sensitive and respectful about what your ex needs––she or may need more time than you. If that's the case, don't just foist yourself on the ex in an attempt to become friends some time later.

Romance › 10 Ways To Know If Your Relationship Is “right” by ada9ja(op): 1:08pm On Dec 18, 2012
1. You feel good about yourself and your world.
A good relationship makes you feel great. It should fill in your “gaps” and make you feel whole. It should give you emotional strength and help you to feel that everything is ok – and will continue to be.
Another good sign is that you’re better able to survive disasters at work, at home, etc. – not because you know someone will be there to solve them, but because you know that YOU can.

2. You look forward to spending time together.
Far too many couples stay together out of habit. They don’t really look forward to being together and try to find ways to avoid it. For example, they always try to include other friends, go to an event so that they’ll have something to do, etc.
Another sign is fear of the “conversation lag” where nobody has anything to say. If your relationship is “right”, you’ll enjoy spending quality time together – even when it’s quiet.

3. You respect your partner, and “talk him or her up.”
Is there anyone that agrees with everything someone else says or thinks? (I can tell you – nobody agrees with everything I say!) There’s no reason you have to agree with everything your partner says or thinks either. However, you should RESPECT them for it – right or wrong.
Further, when you respect someone – really respect them – you find yourself “talking them up” to people. You say things like, “You know, my girlfriend said something that I don’t agree with, but it really made me think” or “My husband really knows about wood working – you should ask him about it.”
What this really shows is your focus – if you find you’re always talking about yourself, you’re not focused on your partner – or the relationship.

4. You are really interested in what he or she thinks.
Along with respect, you’ll find that you are interested in your partner’s thoughts on different things – and you ask. You might have heard the President of your company say something and you ask your wife to get her take on it. Or, you may have come up with an idea that you want your boyfriend to think about – and you’re not afraid of getting shot down.

5. You are aware of, but ignore their quirks.
Everyone (even YOU bunky!) has his or her little quirks. Your partner’s quirks might even appear cute to you, or at least harmless. If they’re getting to you, you should look more closely at your relationship in
general.

6. Problems don’t make you think about breaking up.
All relationships have problems. It’s natural and healthy. However, if every time you fight you feel ready to break up, you should re-think your relationship. People that have good, solid relationships see disagreements as a chance to learn more about their lover, and to get closer. Thus, they don’t fear them, but they don’t create them either!

7. You aren’t scared about losing him or her.
Once you start investing your feelings in a relationship you risk being hurt. This isn’t my rule – it’s just the way it is. However, if you dwell on the possibility of being hurt, you can’t really enjoy the relationship. Further, you shouldn’t be concerned that your lover isn’t happy. If the relationship is secure – you’ll know it.

8. You’re together “just because.”
Many people start dating and then coordinate their lives such that they have to be together – either for finances, kids, family, work, the dog, etc. Is there something keeping your relationship together?
If you’re together just because you both want to be, you’ve got a good reason to stay together! If you’re together because you have to be, you’ll likely to start having problems.

9. You appreciate other attractive people, but aren’t interested in them.
There is someone more attractive than your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband or wife. I don’t care whom you’re with! If your relationship is good, you still like the way other people look, but don’t find it necessary to compare them to your partner. After all …

10. You are in love.
If you don’t know that you’re in love, you’re not. Love is very difficult to explain, but one of the best explanations I’ve seen is this:
“Love is when you are more concerned with the well being, safety and happiness of someone else than your own.”

Now here is the main thing, he recently had an accident and the doctor demanded for N230,000 fo quick operation and blood transfusion, his girl ran away cos she only want the money he got from me, without the money and the operation, he will die, when i receives the doctor call, the doctor didnt tell me he was the one, when i got there, he look bad and my blood matches his and i ve the money, what should i do?
