They never regret but it's because their eyes has still not opened. As long as they keep doing it they are out of everything that happens in Nigeria.

Everytime grid collapse. Ain't it time these useless grid is unbundled and states and private individuals allowed to generate power? We can't continue like this.
Generating stations are national assets. Some states have the suitability for stations others don't. Niger state has 4 dams built by FG. You can't give it to state to control because it's for the entire country.

States can build theirs too. Kaduna has one, Kano has one.

Generating stations have also been privatised.

Oil companies have generating stations and they also put it on the National grid if they have surplus. You can get license and build yours too.

Pls how many control center do we have? And where is the location.

For clarity.. is the national grid one?
Because the last strike we had it was shut down. So do we have just one synchronising power stations in Nigeria?
Need to know pls.
We have one actually National Control Center (NCC) in Oshogbo.

It's not that they can directly control all the stations remotely for now (that is in the process), but they manage the system. They see what is being produced in total and allocate to each disco and they determine who gets what. They are constantly monitoring and in contact with all stations.

No, every generating station has to synchronize to connect. It's something like airplane refueling in the air by another airplane, they have to have same speed to connect. The grid failure is when the frequency has gone outside of the set threshold, automatically all the stations will disconnect. The recovery process also cannot be instant because it will still cause imbalance. They have to start one station, load it, to stabilize, then start another, synchronise, load and then continue till every station is back online.

When that strike happened, Labour workers didn't shut it down from NCC. All they needed to do was to creat an imbalance by going to one major TCN substation that serves like 6 states or more. Turn it off and instantly with that much load taken off the grid and without a reaction time for NCC to balance it (picking load in other states), the generating stations will automatically disconnect bringing generation gradually to zero.

Remman:
The problem i have with most Nigerians is that they believe in the "national grid collapse" hoax. Nigeria exports electricity to some countries and when there's a fault on those lines they fake national grid collapse and divert our lines to feed those nations. I actually don't know the work of journalists of this Nigerian-generation. CNN would physically go to verify the grid that actually collapsed show it to Nigerians. It will also be impossible to fix a fallen grid in a few hours.
The problem of Nigeria is people like you and the 48 misled ppl that liked your post. You have no idea of what grid collapse is or why it happens only to disbelieve and encourage other Nigerians to disbelieve. All the while its just plain ignorance and gullibility.

Just to make sure I don't leave you in ignorance, I will explain a little.

If you have 2 'I pass my neighbour' generator, you can't run the 2 together connecting them in series or parallel to power one fridge. The issue is frequency. You have to have a device that will synchronise their frequency before it will work. The national grid is a like the synchronizer that will put all power generating stations into 1 frequency +/-50hz such that the whole country network feels like 1 giant generator.

Read carefully now for the problem. The problem is load. If you synchronise 5 generators to power 2 fridge, then 1 or 2 generators goes off and the others cannot power the 2 fridge, the other 3 shuts down because of overload and low frequency. On the other way round, if 1 fridge (load) is turn off suddenly, the frequency will become high and the synchronizer shuts power supply to prevent damage to frequency sensitive equipment on the supply.

You will not say this thing if the system protection allows high or low frequency and voltage to get to your house burning all your electrical equipment or even your house.

System collapse is an automatic protection for the entire network equipment and the household or industrial equipment connected to the grid.

There is a control center but their reaction to sudden drop in load or generation are the main factors in collapse. They manage overload in real time leading to rationing.

This bridge has a height barrier for the over head bridge, this barrier has never lasted a week before a truck runs into it. I live in the bypass and use that bridge at least twice weekly. That barrier has been repaired uncountable times but you will see trailers on the bridge once the barrier is down.

What kills Nigerian roads, it's simple, illegal axle weight. Most of the trailers don't follow inexistent regulations. So govt, truck owners and drivers are culpable. Govt needs strict regulations.

Antoeni:
IMPLICATIONS OF TODAYS KANO FHC JUDGEMENT ON KANO EMIRSHIP TUSSLE:

1. The court voided all actions taken AFTER the interim
order was granted but also granted stay of proceedings
until the determination of an appeal by the Responents

This means:

2. The law that sacked Aminu Ado, the Emirates Law
2024 remains valid because it was assented BEFORE the
interim order.

3. The ruling has voided Sanusi's enthronement because
it came AFTER the order, for it being comtempteous
against the court.

4.. The ruling has effectively created a vacuum in the Kano emirates. That is, Aminu Ado was duly deposed, but
Sanusi was not duly enthroned.

4. Fourth and the most interesting part is that the court
has granted stay of proceedings pending the
determination of the appeal.

5. The stay bars all parties from taking any steps to
enforce the ruling until after its determination on Appeal.

6. So, in essence, Sanusi remains Emir and the legal battle
moves to the Court of Appeal.

AS THE COURT PLEASES
3 and 4 are wrong

Law was passed by state assembly on Thursday, injunction was given late unofficial hours of that Thursday but it's not enforceable until served which is not possible at the time it was given. Governor accented to the bill Friday and gave Sanusi appointment letter. Monday was when injunction was served saying status quo.

As at Monday, status quo is Sanusi had been enthroned.

You can't be in contempt of court if you only hear the injunction on the media, you have to be served. The service was on Monday, 1 official working day after Sanusi was enthroned. Unless the service was substituted service by media which usually is after physical service failed. No judge can order substituted service in the first instance. Personal service must be attempted first, and in the case of government as the defendant, you can't say it's impractical to serve the government.

RecentHistory:
Remember Rivers state where the Judge invalidated the law on LGAs made by the Rivers House of Assembly?

Are you now saying the Judge is saying the House has no right to make laws?
Yes, a law made by a state assembly that contradicts the constitution of Nigeria is null and void. To create a local government the constitution says there must be a 2/3rds vote in all 774 LGA. Like wise to create a state there must be a 2/3rds vote in all state assembly. So FG cannot create a state without all 36 state house of assembly and state cannot create LG without 774 LGA councils..

Therefore, Rivers state assembly did something that was against the constitution which is null and void.

In this case, there is nothing in the constitution for Emirates, it's a state matter. High court has no say and state assembly can never do anything on this matter that is against the constitution.

There is a judgment invalidating the deposition of Bayero.
Bayero is going nowhere.
The judge also granted a stay of execution which means until the Appeal court says he is correct. Sanusi remains Emir.

How can a judge order a governor not to accent to a bill passed by a state assembly? Let the judge tell the house if they have no right to make law before he can tell the governor he has no right to accent a law. Where is principle of separation of powers?

Let's not forget, it's the same High court (in form of tribunal) that Ganduje used to scare the current governor that he lost the election. This matter can't favour Ganduje.

understand the game, impeachment isn't possible without any backing allegations. Allegations makes it easy for an impeachment to work. SLS was accused of insubordination and financial recklessness, he SLS went to court to stop his financial probing .
Yusuf wasn't patient enough to setting a trap and getting a valid allegation against Bayero , thereby making the impeachment a mere personal joke.
This not the case, splitting the emirate into 5 is the law that was repealed and the 5 Emirs go with the repeal. That's why the house must not bring allegations or investigate anything.

Ask yourself, why was the one Emirate split into 5, was it because of Sanusi? No. There was no reason, same as there can't be a reason for repealing the law.

If that law stood, why not this one?

I am a Muslim. I think it pertinent for Muslim lawyers and judges to find mechanisms for dispute resolution at the highest levels. The Emir/Amir is essentially a religious position.
Unfortunately, Bayero doesn't seem to see it that way.

Sanusi has proven himself to be a better religious leader than Bayero.

Even though I am a Christian, our tenets do not allow a religious leader to fight what could ridicule his faith. Any Christian matters that leads to court, every one turns their backs to who took it there.

The judgement at hand (right to freedom) goes with the times and era, however, the issue of the throne is not meant for the court or the high court for that matter.

His dethroning is also banishing him because he was out of Kano for a function and the SG within it's powers ensured he did not return to Kano.
Till date, the SG did not make mention of any place where he would relocate to which is out of place considering those who were dethroned before him.
So where do you expect him to put his bed?
So if his character is now tarnished because he chose a smaller palace to reside within Kano in the town/village called Nassarawa then so be it. The case he took to the court is not even about the stool but his rights been taken away from him.
You are only repeating what I said, Sanusi"s case has already taken care of his rights. When Ganduje dethroned Sanusi, he outrightly banished him from Kano. This is not the case, Bayero and the 4 others were not banished but they left on their own. The where all instructed to leave the palace (state government property) along with any other state property they held as Emirs. Others knew the tradition and follow it. Bayero knows the tradition but was convinced or coarse by Ganduje and cronies to return to created a well orchestrated plan to destabilise the system. Bayero is complicit since he knows the right thing to be done but followed a political scheme.

Note please, Nasarrawa mini palace is state government property.

Let me tell you, the case of his rights is a facade. His arrest was called by the SG after he settled in state government property without authorisation and pronounced himself Emir after he was dethroned. His rights to doesn't exist if the substantive law says otherwise. That means he broke the law and it's only right for SG to call for his arrest.

Ask yourself this question, why didn't the SG call for arrest of other Emirs?

You are the one who is the problem.
We are all following the issue right from the grand father's time. So we understand the roles everyone is playing right from the time of Kwankaso till date.
The question is "why would the governor arrest the one he has dethroned"?
Why would the governor prevent the one he has dethroned entry into the State?
What is the offence?
Since when is dethroning someone now a criminal offence against the one dethroned?
You cannot arrest anyone based on presumptive offense.
I am not a lawyer and do not know the traditional laws in-depth. However, I know that tradionally every deposed Emir is banished to a certain land. Emir Sanusi was banished, however, he went to court and got a judgement that allowed him move freely as a right of every Nigerian at this time and age.

It's a good thing the Kano government didn't banish him or the other Emirs knowing that a precedence has been set.

What Bayero did is return to Kano which is his right, but going to a palace that officially belongs to the government and then say you are still the Emir, that's even disrespect to the tradition that has given him the highest stool he sat on.

Personally, I am of the opinion Bayero threw all the respect he had as an Emir. He has publicly incited crisis, apart from living in a property that belongs to the state that gave you 48hrs to leave. Even if he eventually wins the battle, he doesn't have the character of a revered Emir and has lost reverence.

Sanusi left and still has respect despite all the dark things he has in his cupboard.

The arrest was ordered when Bayero went to the mini palace and declared he is still Emir.
