Hmm. Still thinking..... Honestly may be true.. We are gradually getting that freedom we so desperately want and forgetting that humans are social animals
Today's marriage is like two kings on the same land. We want to be married and still be independent

Nice poem.. or is it an idea, anthem.... or a belief.
We are Nigerians...agreed...but we must change to be respected. How we are treated reflects how the world see us. We should learn that charity begins at home

Lesson learnt: some things you cannot just say to your spouse no matter what. That is, if you value that relationship. Example age, a feature on their body, an incompetency etc. However some of these deficiencies may be accurate.
I believe the problem is not that it was said but how and when.

Spoken words are like broken eggs. You cant take it back but.... you may be able to use it.... I think you have exhausted your ammunition for a long time no matter what crime she may commit. You should ensure that she is diplomatically aware you are serving penance.

Use this opportunity to learn her likes and dislikes as well as her propensity to forgive.

Nonetheless its important to note that how easily we forgive is directly proportional to how much we love.
Politics / Re: Why Nigeria Cannot Afford A Stand-Off With South Africa By Kakanda (Al-jazeera) by ade002: 6:07pm On Sep 14, 2019
As sad as it may sound, I believe the writer is correct,. But the reaction of some on this platform is pathetic, this is not time to attack his person, character or competencies but a time to reflect. If his postulations are incorrect I love to hear matching arguments.
Personally, I take his words as a challenge. We must put on our thinking caps and be 21st century creative. We don't go celebrating groundnut grinding machine in the age of A.I.

Lets assume that one of every ten person's in the world is a genius(academics, business, sports etc). The number of genius in Nigeria will surpass the entire population of many countries. yet we may be economically dependent on the goodwill of these countries.

No sane government will destroy a source of revenue without an alternative. Even to save its face. its like burning your house and property so as to teach the landlord a lesson.

I will pick techno for efficiency. I can use Techo as an extension of my laptop.
I find IPhone' IOS apps limited in supply and ridiculously expensive. I have effectively use techo to manage some of my clients website and handle some other SLA's . in fact my techno makes me more money. An iPhone would just b for Shakara.

Most ppl and their phones is like buying a Five bedroom flat and occupying only the toilet

imhotep:

Stop blaming the past.
Face the present, sit down, think and work.

Sometimes we look at the pass so that we don't make mistakes in the future.
The current econic thinking was played in the past and foiled because PMB at that time failed to secure his ground before indirectly offending the capitalist thereby losing his throne.
I will hate to see a case where Nigerians would have suffered for nothing due to another economic reversal .No governnent will live forever. However policies can when they have the backing of the majority.
Is this government thinking of holding their ground this time or will they fall to the caprices of the 'capitalist'
Politics / Re: Nigeria's Problems Started In 1984 Or 1985 by ade002: 2:45pm On Sep 18, 2016
I will agree that a loan at a time of plenty may not be necessary. However using the military as an economic stabilation tool in a capitalist economy was out of place.
It seemed PMB at that time was much of a socialist or he had such tendencies. one just have to look at his policies and system of government.
If Nigeria is a capitalist economy we should not shy away from the major attribute of capitalism. I.e WEALTH IS RESERVED FOR THE WEALTHY

Its been debated that the prime issues that are bedeviling this Great Country were as a result incidents that occurred in 1984 & 1985.
Your ticket into this debate is your understanding of all key political issues that occurred in the 1984 and 1985.

Name checked and confirmed.

Tribe: Yoruba
Location: South West Nigeria

She's truly representing west coast well.. Following the footstep of their masters (North). It's very pleasing to see our slaves doing well home and abroad. Unlike their Eastern counterparts, who do bring nothing but disgrace to our Kingdom (Nigeria). We really appreciate the people of the West.

The reason why you are on Nairaland is because you have all it takes to be here.
Some market women cannot be here cause the don't have the knowledge.
Some intelligent men cannot be here cause they are sick.
Some healthy men cannot be here cause they cannot pay for data.
While some rich men cannot be here cause they are dead

The reason why God can choose to honor some vessels or dishonor another is simply because

HE CAN AND WE CANNOT AND WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO

And their is ultimately nothing we can do about it. Than to find our purpose .
Who is the clay to talk back to the potter. Who is man to understand or instruct GOD . our days are but few compared to a stone. Our lives are meaningless compared to a tree that will feed and shed thousands. Our voice is not loud enough scare a storm. If the butterfly, fly, mosquitoes, ant become carnivores or oxygen ceases for fifteen minutes we will be an endangered species overnight.
Who is man that he has gotten so bold to talk back to his maker .

Why Will He Create The Law In The First Place?? And Still Break 90% Of That Law Common We Learn From Adult As Humans

Imagine a world without the law .we will be no different from the sheep, lion or bird. It will be a case of 'survival for the fittest'.

Take a look at the world today, its actually mimicking that of animals. Simply because we have chosen to ignore the alpha law ie. LOVE GOD THEN LOVE ONE ANOTHER. The Bible is built on these laws. Holiness is measured by love: How much u will sacrifice for another man.

Man has tried to set his own laws yet crime increases. Some Christians have replaced it with ' holy activities of self righteousness' forgetting that we are saved by GRACE not by our strenght or deeds.

The law we learnt from Adults do have a source. No child was born with an understanding of what is right or wrong. Man has modified it overtime, trying to make it suitable for himself. But has only succeded in distorting it and harming himself.

The law remains LOVE GOD AND LOVE YOUR NEIGHBORS AS U LOVE YOURSELF
