Normal thing with boarding schools, no excesses.. He looks better.
I don't see why my kids , particularly the boys will not go to barding school.
I left boarding school independent emotionally because of boarding I could cope with hostel life in uni.

I also stay in KD and I know Chikun LGA is predominantly Christians. If you live in Kaduna you will realize that's its ALMOST divided across religious lines. Making such statements is like claiming hisbah law in IMO state. Such news can quickly cause unrest in the state. Therefore I suggest we confirm our source before we publish.
Having said that I can't claim to know the village. If a group of settlers/people decide to pick an isolated location and create their own law and government. When Kaduna state Govt. reacted swiftly and shut down all activities in the state they said he was been over cautious. Then, It was still business as normal in Kano. It seems the government was not aware or choose to ignore the situation.
I will not be surprise if Kano state corona virus case is not worse than that of Lagos and Abuja combined.

I believe in discipline. Seriously, missing two core exams is truancy and cannot be explained away without consequences even if the school fees is =N= 21. But it's also time for the man to have a frank conversation with his son.That guy had A1 in music and A1 in music is not cheap as some may think. Passion/talent is best discovered and developed early.

Agreed, he did well in music. But if their is any thing we can learn from the current pandemic is that some occupation are more relevant than others.
Their are situations whereby how well you sing or the money you have will not save you but those basic knowledge you gain from school.
Truth is, I will rather identify with a child working with WHO or a senior public officer than a rugged looking, Igbo smoking musician. No matter how much he/she makes

Uneducated musicians is a key problem in the music industry. They end up polluting the minds of youths and children.

Anyone that feels the father was wrong should calculate the money and return it to him. Or pick an orphan and train with that amount.

I will never forget the beating my mom gave me in primary six because I came 32nd out of 36. She was not a graduate but did all she could to train me almost to post-graduate level. That beating reset me for life. The next term which was my final term in primary school, I shocked my teachers. I even had to rewrite one paper because the the teacher could not believe I could surpass the best student in the class with a significant margin. That was my eye opener. I still attribute my present gains to that day.

Remember parents don't discipline us out of hatred they do so out of love so we may be better than them.

If my own sons make the same mistake. ... Lord have mercy ....but the girls eh.. No problem. That is why am working.
