Culture18 German Values, Culture & Ethics Nigeria Should Emulate From Germany&China by Ade3000yrs(op):
Here are 18 Great German Quotes and Ethics that Nigeria must imbibe to Get Result in Africa like The German Influence and Dominance in Europe: Without racial sentiments or cultural bias parameters, we must examine and horn the historical significance of the rich Dutch cultural insights and what makes them exceptional from the rest of the world.
Unlike the French, Portuguese, Spanish, Americans, Russians, Japanese, China and the British, The Dutch has a long standing resolutions for mobility and results. The 1940 Blitzkrieg Strategy employed to ransack & humble the rest of Europe demonstrated the momentum and deadly pound of the Juggernaut. The modeled subject examined here is her efficiency and not the chaos caused.
Today every one on earth who is a student of history understand what the word Germans stand for, not rebellion, not masochistic nor megalomaniac streaks but efficiency.
The German culture is used in this analogy due to their consistency, attitude to work and result oriented ethics as it is seen in all Dutch speaking land of the world today in relative to economic strength in countries such as Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Luxembourg, to a great extent as far as South Africa, Switzerland, Monaco, Sweden, Finland, France, England, Russia, Japan and the entire Europe as the German spirit is almost every where and has permeated every sector of visible growth around the world. Especially the developed world.
Just as the recently concluded 10th Rio Olympic that ended 5 - 4 on penalty shoot out between Brazil and Germany and the 9th Olympic and that of July 2014 FIFA world cup Brazil versus Germany that ended 1-7 in the favour of Germany was no coincidence, so is the German dexterity in other gainful human ventures. The Germans trashed Brazil 1984, 1988 & 2012 for an all record Olympic title.
The Dutch has the power of the Sphinx that rises from the ash and makes something out of Nothing. This inherent culture and enviable feature, I expect Nigerians to emulate. If the Germans could come out of rubble and pile of dust in 1945 to become the center and the European frontier and sit of economic power today, I believe We Nigerians can do the same.
I compiled this write up to depict the Dutch cultural and moral values for Nigerians and the rest of the African countries to wake up and light a fire in our behind.
Here are a few German and Dutch Cultural Orientations that makes the Germans & Dutch top of every venture & reasons for their efficiency boast from which you can draw strength and reflections: 1. All beginnings are hard, 2. He who rest grows rusty. 3. The devils favourite piece of furniture is the long bench {Procrastination}, 4. "Practice is what makes a master," Mastery is hard to attain. It takes continuous honing of your skills to get realy good at something. To attain high level of proficiency, u must practice, innovate or you loose been number one in your field. 5. Only the strongest survive. 6. Starting is easy, persistent is an art. 7. failure makes smart, Ever tried, Ever failed. No matter, try again, fail again, fail better By Samuel Beckett. 8. the cheapest is always the most expensive, invest in quality and never take little things for granted, 9. You don't see the forest for all the trees. Success & failures mks us vulnerable to fate's whims & sets in frustration easily, 10. First think, then act. 11. Don't worry about eggs that haven't been laid yet, 12. Crooked logs also make straight fires; The perfect is d enemy of good. A lot of people wait for d elusive perfect moment that may never come, when d stars align & everything falls into place. Life don't work like that, "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are. By Theodore Roosevelt, 13. You have to take things the way they come, 14. Employ an adaptive mindset and take life as it is, not as it should be, 15. The morning hour has gold in its mouth, 16. Actions speaks louder than words, 17. Yourself is the man, Yourself is the woman, If you want something done, do it yourself, 18. He who chases two rabbits at once will catch none.
As individual, let's save each other the adjulation of a future nobody can predict. Nigeria and Africa is going through a developmental phase. It is true that we want Miracle overnight for which almost every advantage puts us at the spot light of disappointments. The rest of the developed countries with which we compare Nigeria also had their darkest nights of thick socio economic tumult hundreds of years ago. Till today, these acclaimed and admired countries still have their peculiar problems and challenges that if meted on Nigerians and Africans will sink our economy completely, and our fall, pain and agony will be astronomically sharp and sour.

For me, I still consider Nigeria and the rest of the Africa countries as virgin and green horn in the eye and in the light of truth, knowledge and innocence.
So that we don't rescind into becoming an inexperienced powerful child with a nuclear war head that can consume the world in its darkest hour. Let's not separate the heart from our bosom chest in a jolly experiment amorously, so that our 40 days journey does not become a 40 years extensional Exodus. Only the lazy and the weak amongst us expect the hocus pocus in one night. Only talkers but unfortunately, 365 days of lip service don't build bridges and sky scrapers. Let's demonstrate shrewdness and caution the way we futherly tear down our father and motherland for others to join in the crow feast. Instead be an agent of Change just like the German spirit from the moment of the Zero hour.

This is not to suggest Nigeria playing 2nd fiddle to any Country but a question of imbibing good culture and socio cultural and work ethics for societal development. China did it and got result and relevance in Asia just like the Germans Saliently Control the entire Europe. I believe Nigeria can do the same in Africa.

like I always say, Nigeria with Africa is a very beautiful land enriched with multi cultural diversity which is an enviable blessing. Alot of doom sayers and mischief makers out of envy and greed are ready to pay A trillion dollar to pedal viral rumor into peoples ears and to sow seed of discord just to see Nigeria Divide all just for the oil and Nothing more. If any of this people tell you they care or they love you or fighting for your interest or to avenge your parents death, its a very big fat lie. Its the same vain and hopeless mechanism of promising ladies juicy package and benefits of traveling out to Europe and before you know it they end up ruining their life surviving and into prostitution. APC and PDP and a host of other Progressive parties may have failed Nigerians but believe me we shall get there someday and I believe these parties are equally trying their best to get the desired result. With certain reservations, I am 65% against seccession of any kind as these will only make matters worse for everybody and far worse for the secessionist agitators and mischief makers. let's not allow people who live in some foreign land to bad mouth us out of envy and without knowing what it takes to be an African.
Promise Land is not America, its not Europe, its not Asia, Australasia nor Mecca nor Jerusalem, Rome nor Israel but a state of mind.

Those who don't know your struggle
can never know your pain. Stop complaining, start doing something. Imbibe the German spirit of efficiency. We need to make decisions of our own and not just talk. Sure alot of people hv looted Nigeria and truncated State and National resources to their family inheritance; Surely the fair and Iron hand of the law will catch up with them and they shall be brought to book to serve as a deterrent to others eyeing the same vain course, we cannot continue to live like pigs growing fat and enjoying the luxury of the mud with mud pig smiles. Our value orientation must change and we must be devoid of corruption to the barest minimum. Reasonable investment can withstand 50 to 100 years in a corruption ridden country as the economy will always be jerky, inconsistent, unpredictably fluctuates to the advantage of lions and wolves who believes in winners takes all and lords their individual interest over the interest of the state. In our pains and Without Party affiliation and party or ethnoreligious bias, lets support President Muhammed Buharri. Nigeria needs speedy Industrialization and intensified Agricultural efforts to resourcitate the economy.

LiteratureThe Nigerian Zero Hour! by Ade3000yrs(op): 1:31pm On Aug 31, 2016
Transfixed in an heightened awareness over harrowing and hallowed planes of false path in retributions for pieces of peace and ponds of fate. With superficial connections and proverbial inclination, God of the ages know where thou we go. Here are signals from our primal core where our confidence takes a hit aloof all forms and shape of Obstreperousity. To the Sun, Stars and totem by the violet moon in mulched, musked, and ivory fragrance, let your gaze be fixed without compromise beyond the city on the 7th hills. Wake up drowsy heads and cut out your dellerium and quit day dreaming Nigerians. No more free money!! No more lies! No more borrowed robes!! Hardworking and smart work pays. Say No to Corruption!! www.greenharrisburg..co.ke
PoliticsReasons Why Who Ever Is Against Buharri Is A Big Thief And An Enemy Of Nigeria by Ade3000yrs(op):
Here are reasons why who ever is against Buharri is a big thief and an enemy of Nigeria: Surely alot of people will come in disguise as if to empathize with the Nigerian economic plight shedding crocodile tears!! anybody who is against Buharri is a thief and would do far worse than Buharri Predecessor if in power!!! It is madness to co exist side by side with corruption. its like the sheep and cattle in the neighbourhood of the lions. Nigerians, use ur silly head and wake up, alot of the PDP are thieves who have stolen large sum of money and has flown them out of the country in their private jet on the inauguration of Buharri as the Nigerian President, there by crashing the Nigerian economy totally to frustrate and forestall Buharri's effort for restitution. They know that by the time hunger and poverty hit Nigeria hard and head long, 90% of Nigerians will soon be clamouring to Change the Change!! Former PDP Chairman Ogbulafor was right when he said during the Obasanjo regime that PDP will continue to rule Nigeria for the next 100yrs. for your info, Prof Charles Soludo, Obasanjo are still standing firm and in support of Buharri's effort. Come 2019. Oshinbanjo and Charles Soludo are the game changer and the enders game if you fools like vote your beloved PDP!! or fidifi!!! I am 100% in support of Buharri! I vote for pple of integrity and not PDP or APC or EFCC, NPN, or PDD nor UAC!!! Sanusi is only a failed and lousy clergy and religious leader looking for patronage and relevance that will never come among the Igbos. He insults the entire Yoruba race and tribe, lambast Obasanjo who is a respected elder states man, lambast President Muhammed Buharri, maintains an account to the tune of billions of Naira for an undisclosed persons, marries under age girls and call it religion, turn the Nigerian CBN with his useless and clueless cashless policy that has not helped Nigeria economy in anyway as Nigeria was not ripe for it. I hv looked into Sanusi's educational background and career portfolio and believe me, he is nothing anything near the pedegree of Charles Soludo, Goodluck Jonathan, Peter Odili, Deziani Madueke, Obiangeli Ezekwezili, Okonjo Iwealah; all who were brought to the political spot light by Obasanjo, yet igbos and the yorubas lambast obasanjo for been bias and unfair. Am shocked that Sanusi open his lousy mouth to lambast a great leader like Obasanjo!! Obasanjo preferred other tribes to occupy political offices instead of his own people so as not to be accused of been bias! Obasanjo does not hate his Yoruba people but only tries to demonstrate the features of a true leader for a greater national interest which he expect others to emulate!! The problem of insurgency in the North, Secession agitation in the East and militancy, killings and kidnapping in the South South of Nigeria is as a result of poor leadership problem. Obasanjo has paved way for alot of prominent politicians today especially 90% of the PDP party members and 45% of the APC members both the greatful ones and the ungreatful lots. Obasanjo gives you an oportunity when he sees something in you and helps you fan the ember but the out come of all the your effort at large depends on how well you play your card.
Obasanjo is my great mentor. A living African hero and legend and 100 time a leader that Sanusi will always dream to be but will never be. Open your eyes Nigerians, don't be fooled like a dummy in a puppet shop, grocery shop and ice cream shop. Nigeria is too big for any party to hold to Ransome but all efforts should be focused on the integrity of the individual or person in question. Obasanjo Opted out of PDP when he realized he had created a party that breeds both the lions and the wolves that are already festering on the Sheep and Country his colleagues and himself had taken time to create. Obasanjo left PDP at the time it was becoming too unbearable and more of a breeding ground for wolves, lions, and hyenas with conflicting opinion. I am not against PDP as a party in any way whatsoever as you may start a crusade with a good cause and motives only to have it ambushed, high jacked and truncated by your oppositions employing subtle and salient strategies. There are alot of PDP patrons I still admire and respect their approach and policies till date such as the likes of David Mark, Jeremiah Udime.
Bad association and communication corrupt good manners; Obasanjo left PDP when he had to so as to distance himself from undue labelling and was never ascribed any egalitarian glory or praise to himself at any time but yet remains humble as we spew at him all our grievances as if he was our Jesus Christ or reverend father at confession just as we do to Buharri. It is evident enough that if Jesus Christ comes, the Christians of today will be 1st to slit open his throats and carve his trunk and gut open from the left of his stomach to the right side of his liver without waiting for the carpenter to finish the cross to which he should be nailed. The laceration and lynching would be fast and salient like a rootless virus and metastasized cancer long before the Marauding Hausa Fulani heardsmen and Muslims comes with their hatchet.
This is the cross and the price of a leader, been ready to be rubbished, maimed and nailed in the name of been a leader especially in this part of the world. Alot of PDP party member are now taking advantage of the tides of economic chaos to flag their, "Nigeria, Kill Buharri Crusade."
I laugh when people say Buharri is clueless and has no educational background to man the office he was appointed. For your info, Buharri is a general, and if you lack any military training and background, you will never know that the office of a general is 10 times the office of 100 regular professor. There is no where on earth you can be a General by accident, you go out with your gut, guns and brain and work for it in the open field considering the interest of your country and territory 1st. That's why I will vote any candidate with a military background and training 1,001 times again and again until our regular University Professor begins to think outside the 4 walls of the school. In most cases, Civilians are often unruly. As our head resonate around Obasanjo, let's not forget the effort of General Abdulsalam Abubakar and General Ibrahim Babangida who found Obasanjo as an ideal leader of Federal and National Character to shoulder a National interest at the restoration of the Nigeria Democracy as at 1999. I plead with Nigerians to give Buharri the Benefit of doubt and peace of office to discharge his duty duityfully. Let the back talkers, back stabbers and black mailing fellows who have profited enmassed from the Nigerian government and political system and who have looted billions and carted away in private jets to some undisclosed foreign land like the #218 Billion Naira Abacha loots continue to plot their evil scheme that will never come to light nor see the light of the day against President Muhammed Buharri! The era of free and unwarranted money is over as Charles Soludo already described Nigerians to have been living on Borrowed robes for decades down to the era of oil boom! Buharri Era is only creating and paving way for a new set of billionaires who are smart and hard working as things and challenges are getting tougher by the day and as tough times demands tough men. Wake up Nigerians don't get easily dissuaded by the side. Gold and diamonds don't grow nor litter on the streets, u dig and quarry the earth for it. To all of you who say Buharri is Clueless and WAEC certificate, all of you with your PHDs, laudacum Harvard and Oxford degree and Honours, "Who you Helphuh?" Is it your PHDs and Certificate that is fighting Bokoharam, Militancy and Insurgency in Nigeria todayhuh Our regular school today is only breeding a far worse disoriented and worse criminally minded citizens and graduates that will occupy government offices only to still and become far worse than the military. ITK can kill faster than the bullet! Democracy and the regular Nigerian Educational system is already Demonizing Nigerians and making everybody go morally and socially crazy, inconsistent and unpredictable. The world is watching and laughs at us as we keep poking and experimenting with our government and wallow in inconsistency. Nigeria is one of the worst Country on earth today with a fast imploding and inconsistent government! Come 2019, Nigeria await another kind of structural and Political "Experiment," may be we will get it right after 999th experimental election born out of inconsistency. As for me and as for now, am 100% contented with the Buharri Administration, If you are not, look for other sustainable ventures from the teeming opportunities Buharri has created in his Shortest time in office and add to the skill and work of your hand. Nigerian remains stronger than ever and alot of Berlin walls are already going down, If you are not standing aright or your in the wrong venture am sorry your moon, sun and stars are already going down with it.
Foreign AffairsWhy Agriculture, Dollar Nor Buharri Is Not The Nigerian Problem by Ade3000yrs(op): 12:25am On Aug 30, 2016
We need to rethink the hype about agriculture. Farming is not it,, it is the business of agriculture. Read the piece below.

A lengthy read but worth reading for any Agripreneuer.

One of the best reads in recent times. We should learn and practice it. Abeg don't run with the headline.
Agriculture is NOT the MAGIC solution

Simon Kolawole

Anytime I hear Nigerian presidents, ministers, governors, economists, analysts and commentators declare that agriculture is the alternative to oil, and that the solution to Nigeria’s economic woes is to return to the farm, I am tempted to jump up and ask at full volume: “Who agriculture alone don epp?”

Some states have hilariously declared work-free days for civil servants to go to the farm. It would be nice to see those farms and how well the emergency farmers are doing. We’ve been told again and again that agriculture, as Nigeria’s biggest employer of labour, is the magic solution to unemployment, that we will export agricultural produce and earn plenty forex. Well done.

I’ve been hearing this fairy-tale all my life. When I was a primary school kid, Lt. Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo, then head of state, asked Nigerians to tighten their belts because the oil boom would not last forever. He added drama by tightening his military belt on TV. He launched Operation Feed the Nation. My grandfather responded by setting up a garden in our backyard. President Shehu Shagari did Green Revolution. The structural adjustment programme (SAP) of Gen. Ibrahim Babangida was basically about diversifying into agriculture. In different shapes, forms, sizes and packaging, we have been talking about agriculture, agriculture and agriculture forever.

Since we love glamorising our exploits in the export of cocoa, coffee, palm oil and groundnuts before the oil boom doom, I will pick on just cocoa to dispel this ill-conceived notion and never-ending campaign that agriculture is the magic wand.

We used to be the biggest producers of cocoa in the world. Chief Obafemi Awolowo utilised cocoa revenue to develop the south-west when he was premier of the region in the 1950s. But we dropped the ball along the line and Cote d’Ivoire overtook us. And now we are lamenting that we are nowhere to be found. The solution, therefore, is for the south-west to revive the cocoa farms. Oh, the good old days!

Okay, let us talk about Cote d’Ivoire’s fabled cocoa wealth. Cote d’Ivoire produces 33% of world cocoa and exports to manufacturers such as Hershey’s, Mars Inc. (both in the US) and Nestlé (Switzerland). You know what Cote d’Ivoire earns yearly from exporting raw cocoa? A whopping $2.5bn. I repeat: a whopping $2.5bn!

So Mars buys Ivorien cocoa and makes several products from it: Bounty, M&M, Mars and Milky Way, to name a few. You know Mars’ net income from chocolate products alone in 2015?

According to the International Cocoa Organisation (ICCO), Mars made a pathetic $18bn, compared to Cote d’Ivoire’s whopping $2.5bn. Agriculture, indeed.

If you are wondering how just one company, which manufactures chocolate, can earn seven times more than a whole country, which farms and exports the cocoa input, then you are asking the same question with me: Who agriculture alone don epp?

On ICCO’s list of the world’s top 10 companies in net revenue from chocolate, you have three from America, two from Japan, two from Switzerland, and one each from Luxemburg/Italy, Argentina and Turkey. None from Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana and Indonesia — the world’s three biggest producers of raw cocoa. There must be something that Hershey’s, Mars and Nestlé know that we don’t know as we keep planting cocoa.

To be fair, Cote d’Ivoire is waking up. In 2015, French chocolatier Cémoi opened a plant in Abidjan, the economic capital, to produce chocolate. President Alassane Ouattara, on touring the plant, said: “We want to be able to make chocolate for Ivoriens, for Africans and especially West Africans.” Ouattara (pronounced Wa-ta-ra) understands what we still don’t understand here: that agriculture without industry is dead, being alone.

How could I buy cocoa worth $1m from you and make chocolate worth $10 million from it — and you think you are smart? If you are smart, you will start making the chocolate yourself and stop romanticising about the “good old days”.

There was a video that went viral sometime ago. CNN’s Richard Quest visited a cocoa farm in Cote d’Ivoire. Come and see poverty written all over the faces of the farmers, who have been told for decades that agriculture is the magic solution to their problems. Quest gave the farmers bars of chocolate. They were eating the sweet stuff for the first time in their lives!

Compare their lives to those of the executives of Mars Inc., who buy the cocoa beans from Cote d’Ivoire. They are flying private jets and holidaying in the moon, while the Ivorien farmers are fighting off flies and bees in the bushes of Koffikro. For your information, Mars Inc. has no cocoa farms!

Don’t get me wrong please. If I have created the impression that agriculture is useless, I do apologise. That is not my intention. After all, agriculture is our culture. Millions of Nigerians are farming rice, beans, cassava and corn. That is huge employment. Also, we certainly can produce many food items that we are importing and burning precious forex on. But is that why governors are declaring work-free days for civil servants to go and plant melon and maize to solve Nigeria’s economic problem and stop the dependency on oil? If only these governors knew that Switzerland does not grow one tree of cocoa, yet makes the world’s most elegant chocolates!

Let us break this whole agric logic into pieces. If we really want to diversify from oil and create proper value, agriculture must give birth to industry. If agriculture currently employs, say, 5 million Nigerians, agro-allied industry can employ 15 million in the value chain. So why do we spend so much time discussing farming and not industry? For example, how many graduates can a tomato farm employ compared to a factory making tomato purée? The factory will employ or engage the services of engineers, technicians, chemists, marketers, accountants, communicators, lawyers, administrators, drivers, and so on. It may even have a sick bay and employ doctors and nurses.

I’m not done. A basket of tomatoes sells for N800 in Kaduna. A 400g tin of purée sells for N300. Look at how many bottles of purée you can get from a basket, and how much value you will be getting. Who, then, is making the real money? The factory will pay company tax, its employees will pay PAYE and the consumers will pay VAT. That is how government will boost its revenue.

The purée bottle makers offer a different business altogether that employs workers and pays all kinds of taxes too. And if we are good enough, we can begin to export purée to other countries, and earn forex. This is just purée. Think of a thousand agro-allied factories. Think of our huge population.

Sure, agriculture is very important in a primitive economy like ours. But we always miss the bigger picture. One, we need full optimisation of the sector to enhance productivity. A country like the US knows this much better: the percentage of the population engaged in farming is insignificant, but it is so optimised that the output is out of this world. For instance, the US produces enough rice for local consumption, for export, for aid and to dump in the sea to “stabilise” market prices. Two, processing is where you find the massive job opportunities. The agro-industry will yield far more output, more jobs and more economic value than Benue Friday Farming.

These things look so simple and doable, but commonsense is not common. Our agricultural output can be far better in quantity and quality than currently obtains. We can do with better technology, storage, conditioning, packaging and transportation. Most importantly, our brains should focus on how industry can bring out the real value of agriculture and spark off a chain of economic activities that will create millions of good jobs and generate billions of dollars in revenue to investors, employees and government. But we seem excited only about preaching and promoting the export of raw produce, and we feel so smart we think this is the way out of our oil dependency!

But how can we add value when, despite the billions of dollars we have made from oil since 1999, we don’t have the basic infrastructure to inspire an agro-based industrial explosion? Where are the roads? Where are the rails? Where is the electricity? Where is the security? Where is the finance? Yet I can point to uncountable private jets, mansions and customised cars that politicians and their friends have acquired since 1999 with proceeds from the oil boom , while they keep preaching stone-age agriculture to Nigerians.

So if your governor joins this craze of declaring work-free days for primitive farming, just ask him politely:Your Excellency, who agriculture alone don epp?

I have read this article many times and u hv to read it carefully for u to discover this article has a big fracture and alot of bad fault lines. It takes a critical analyst a serious economist to interpreted its financial significance for a national developmental interest.
I want u to go online and google alot of Charles Soludo and Oshinbanjo Economic proposed reform policies and you will discover that Agriculture for now is the only hope for Nigeria because we have been living on borrowed robes for far too long. D era of free money is over and no free money to party or throw around. Nigeria is economically grounded and everything is already crashing on us. We are only paying for our sins in d abating of corruption and the excesses of the past Nigerian government administration over d years. I am not against any party but i must say categorically that a lot of PDP party member are working tirelessly to truncate and short change Nigeria from enjoying the benefits and dividends of democracy. A lot of PDP party members are trying there best to make sure Nigerians give up on Buharri Campaign promises. But believe me, the PDP are already winning their struggle and here are the reasons why. We lie that dollar is high and everything is high and we blame it on Buharri just to black mail his administrative effort, but its a big lie. Nigerian economy has nothing to do with dollar but instead we are having a national treasury deficit problem which was created by all the PDP party member and made d effect to go viral so that when we all feel the economic scourge, we shall all pray that the looters come back and continue to steal Nigerian money if at least it will make us comfortable. Thats what the English man call the pact and peaceful association between the Lion and the sheep as even if it takes 10,000 years to come, the Lion will continue to pray on the sheep to have a balance ecosystem. If not for Buharri, Nigeria will never know we are this far buried in deep shot such that our 10 generations to come will suffer d pain. Almost All the old politicians who have benefited from the old and past government policies are not Buharri friendly as they don't want there era and dynasty to end so they are ready to rubbish Buharri and pull out all there stolen money and investment from the Nigerian System thereby creating more economic chaos and stampede. Know your real enemy before someone else who don't have your good will at heart begins to tell you that your family is your enemy. Who ever believes he can do 100th of what Buharri is doing, I will glady vote 2019 so that d person will know that politics and government affairs is not as easy as A, B, C or 1, 2, 3 as you think. Note! Charles Soludo and Obasanjo has never been against Buharri in anyway at all but just agitating that all Nigerians should give the President there undeterred and uncompromising support. Agriculture and Industrialization at the same time is the Only way forward for Nigeria right now. Dont let anybody sweet talk you with fantasy and dellusions. This is Nigeria with its peculiar problems, and not USA, Canada, Australia, or Germany. D old dynasty politicians are just afraid of been over runned by the new clamour for change and reforms.

If the extreme volatile Northern Nigeria is been bedeviled by poverty and lack of proper education that gave birth to illiteracy and insurgency, what will you call the case in the southhuh "The fear and consequence of oil money as oil money is blood money!" I will rather live in the North in the open planes and vulnerable to the threats of insurgency than to go to the south South! Blv me, the Southern part part of Nigeria is far worse, unliveable and worse dreaded than the vulnerable risk of living in the North. This is evident enough why the Yoruba land will continue to be the hub and mecca of Africa.
There is a yoruba proverb that says that "He who invoke evil spirit over the land should be aware that he will never see peace and may never sleep as he will soon be swallowed by the same evil spirit he has invoked! There is a big and thick cloud of darkness hovering the South of Nigeria, a situation far worse than the case in the North. It is already brewing. The birth and consequence of Oil money, oil money is blood money! It will be in the greater interest of the Yorubas and the Hausas and non Oil producing states if Nigeria breaks up so as to leave the deluded and fantasised states that still believes in the significance of oil money, but 95% possibly the worse case for other tribes and oil producing states if it implodes on itself. With the killings and kidnapping in The Southern states of Nigeria, I must say that a few of the southern states of Nigeria are the only states that you can go to bed at night in heaven and wake up the next morning in hell. In the South South, You just never can tell tomorrow and who is the devil as people in the South South live in abject panic as a lot of people who speak up against injustice metted on them by their own people are lynched in broad day light in a dishonorable and inhumane manner. I must say that the South South have invoked their own demons, eating them up from within. I implore the government and security operatives to tighten up security measures and prosecute anybody found wanting and tried guilty of any crime.
I fear if Jesus Christ will like to visit the South South of Nigeria if he comes again nor will he condescend to shed his blood in the Southern part of Nigeria for he will be Brutally beheaded.
For reference, please go and watch these American movies, "the tears of the Sun" and "Black November". Please watch the movie, you will weep for people in the Southern and Eastern Nigeria. This movie depicts alot of vices, beurecracy and nepotism among the government and its people. To me, Oil money is by far worse than blood money. Nigeria should try look away from oil money and government should allow the indigenes at large and at the grass root level the larger chunk of the oil benefits and profit but government should route out people who have been taking advantage of the oil money to enrich their pocket over the interest of the majority of people.
Nairaland GeneralWhy You Should Cease Listening To Nigerian News & Vote Soludo 2019 by Ade3000yrs(op):
Why You Should Cease Listening To Bad & Doom Nigerian News and Vote Prof Charles Soludo As President 2019: "See no evil, hear no evil, say no evil." So goes a popular saying and it applies a fact for Nigeria at the moment, bad news has strong influence and has such is Nigerian cooked up news by Nigerian Press and packs of ill educated youths or uneducated youths or media house within and outside Nigeria going about and spooing the bean pod at Nigeria.
Turn on your TV, Radio, internet news media and news paper pages and you will see that all you have everywhere is doom! doom! doom! blood! Blood! blood! blood! Evil! Evil! Evil! War! War! War! Gossip! Gossip! Gossip!
Technically, Maliciously cooked or bad news has a way of warming up to our subconscious and if overduly entertained, It will shut you out of everything good even when you think you are fighting for a just and good course. Most people in such crusade and pursuit end up as a beast in the making.
The worst way to kill or lost a child is to feed him with bad news supply for 21 days and that child becomes dead and a potential or salient terrorist in a more subtle form. It is up to us to evaluate our intuition or subconscious to tell if we have become terrorist over time.

There is an African proverb says that, "when a child goes about saying that my father is a wizard and my mother is a witch, the host community will not consider your innocence or pursuit of goodwill but will end up burning you at a stake with your both abominable parents." That is the The reputation of Nigeria among the committee of Nations. This is a shared fault of the Yorubas, Hausas, Igbos, and every other tribes on the Nigerian Soil & Sovereignty.
Our activities, exploits and presence has been vilified by far too many among the Americans, Europeans, Oceanians, Asia, Middle East and Central America.

There is hardly any Summit held this days by committee of Nations that the Peace and wealth of Nigeria is not a pressing concern.
The press and the media house is also responsible for cooking up all sort of junks and heated words just has some lame politicians will use sporadic and inciting language in the media today in the name of freedom of speech and yet they are making a kill in the midst of economic incastration. It is so bad today that even Donald Trump takes advantage of chipped off Nigerian doom news to advance the interest of his Presidential Campaign in the foreign land. It is ok to continue because majority are back home but imagine what kind of Stigma Nigerians in these foreign lands will be going through right now and what kind of scaring and misrepresented label they will have to shoulder??
The problem with us is that we have known too much (ITK) and out of inferiority complex, alot of us crave for vain and public relevance with eyes and fingers set to dive for the juicy package and the National cake, and nothing too serious for an holistic national interest. Most our youth today have lost sight of the future out of frustrations and the illusions that the media cooks up and sell to them.
Little do we know that our one time professed giant of Africa is now believed to be empty giant and week giant since we have all been poisoned to turn against each other and fester on each other from within like a viral disease. Right now, Nigeria is now likened and slowly receding to the level of Nations such as Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, Uganda, Kyrgystan when instead we should be trying to follow in the footstep of Japan, Germany, Netherland, Taiwan, France, Kuwait, Vietnam, Korea, Hong Kong, China, India and Israel & Lebanon. Believe me, the world is waiting for Nigeria to blow itself up and for us all to go to blazes so that there will be peace in the world and In Africa, seems we all want blood and enjoys the trade of throwing ethnocentric blames and lame bombs. I believe alot of us have our brain in our shoes and think upside down in the name of Democracy. We ever assures you that there will be plenty to go round after secession or Nigerian break up is the biggest liar of the 21st Century.

Sometimes I just wish the military can just come back so that we can have Sanity in Nigeria, because these our Demonstration of craze in the name of Democracy is at the brink and edge of Oblivion. Know your Enemy because even you can be your own greatest enemy when you continue to allow the Nigerian media and other people to fill your head with lies! Weather you are APC, PDP, PPC, ENPP, EFCC, CCC, Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Efik, Ijaw, Urobho, Itsekiri, Nupe, Hausa Fulani, Kanuri, Jabba, etc. Everything in life is tied to cause and effect thats why the French will say "MEA CULPA" July 6th,1967 - Jan 15th 1979 it was human souls that were lost on both side of the war and not cattle. All the ills currently in Nigeria is as a result of poor and imperative cultural values that must be reviewed and due to lack of proper education. This is why I will continue to hit hard on the ventures of Nigerian Education board and Nigerian University to speed up their restructuring approach considering the incessant and alarming turn out of unemployed youths and not giving a handful of Nigerians access to quality education. "A miseducated Child is a Child Lost" An Idle mind is the devil's work station. Giving more audience to idle and lame news is as worse as welcoming and aiding the ill oriented terrorist trying to derail the common values of peace and progress in Nigeria. The Military Era might have been at a Junta for a greater cost enmeshed with discipline, however, they served a greater course than what we have now with a conodrum of confusion. Nigeria Economy is already grounded and it needs persons with strong credit line and affiliation with international credit organization to revive Nigeria economy through Massive Agricultural ventures and large scale industrialization. Come 2019, Please Vote Prof Charles Soludo or Dr Obiangeli Ezekwezili as President of Nigeria Without regards to tribalism or party nor religious favouritism.

A lot of things still remain a myth about fish farming. Seeing is believing, let's save ourselves undue lectures and hand outs. Let's focus on the practical and rudiments of the trade with the Pros.

Alot of people are scared of investing on poultry for inexcusable reasons. Sure alot of livestock farmers have ventured into poultry and have burnt their hands but somehow fish farming has compensated for alot of farmers loss. Some complain of not been able to breed their fish stock to an appreciable weight of 2kg in 6 months let alone 4kg in 6 months, alot of things has to be learnt before you invest a dime in any livestock or farming venture because its also prone or vulnerable to certain risk.

From the construction of your pond be it concrete, collapsible, or earthen pond, from your liming to the stocking capacity, from feed type to feed quantity and feed quality with multivitamin supply to your antibiotics and fertilizers administered, from your quality of fish to stock your pond are a collative input factors that determines your output. Life is about cause and effect, there is no magic or abracadabra nor hocus pocus. Fish or Animal husbandary is about garbage in garbage out.

For every venture, there are dos and don't, failure to adhere to certain rules could warrant a big financial loss and deficit in animal husbandry venture just as it is for crop production, it may be impossible to start Poultry business with battery cage system within the budget of #200,000 naira with the intent of commercial farming except for intensive poultry farming but with a budget of #80,000 naira, you can start a real fish farm business. You realy don't need all the millions to start fish farming as most of the big names in fish farming today started small. Nairaland GeneralThe Problem With The Igbos To Include Their Good Side&Edge Over Other Tribes by Ade3000yrs(op):
I am not use to politics and gossip and lame talk but take a look at the word or the name Igbos. No doubt majority of these tribe are making wave in the dimension of industrial exploit in Nigeria and cintribute alot to Nigeria GDP. No doubt these are hard working people and tribe with resilient and dearing features and heart but I must say that these people have some ills that earns them unbargain set backs in matters of National significance!!! Who is an igbo man and what is the pedegree of an igbo manhuh Just as every man has the power to do good and evil without respect to tribe or Nationality, just as the Yoruba and Hausas, the igbo tribe is not in any way more or less in expectation as every 12 disciples of Jesus will always have its own Judas.

Amidst alot of fantastic and great things an average igbo man has a defaults in Socio Cultural Values which is Perculiar to the Igbos and a few Southerners!!! Its very unfortunate that we have some blood thirsty Igbos and Southerners in Nigeria. Alot of these people have desecrated their land and have made their land abominable, hostile and inhabitable for strangers. No social harmony and no hospitality at all because alot of igbos and southerners are divided amongst themselves. that's why we have a hyped case of desperations, killings, fighting, religious coveteousness in the name of God and Gold with escalated cases of kidnapping in these part of the Country. It seems a handful of these people lacks the lacks understanding about the values of peace. Go check majority of these people personal life and business affairs, social ethics and you will see that they are by far worse than the Yorubas and Hausas they are trying to get out of the way for an headway in Politics and Political Relevance, the picture for most of these Igbos is usually Ugly because they are used to seeing life from the Ugly and gory perspective instead.

This attitude and socio cultural threadings are visible among both the Educated and the Non Educated igbos, when you see them you will know them because they will always show their hands sooner or later along with the stuff they are made off, they claim they are frank but to me most of these people are brute, crude, salvaging and unpruned in reasoning. Alot of them brag and don't believe in the concept of privilege yet they call the name of God the most among the Christian population. They believe what they earn they deserve by their own power and affronted efforts.

Most Igbos talk and act before they ever think. All these I have said may not be the truth, but its a fact!!! This is no attempt to rubbish the integrity of any Nigerian Tribe but we must be bold enough to look each other in the face and tell ourselves the ugly truth. I believe its due to miseducation and misinformation of betrayal at play that still leaves open the wounds of yesterday Civil war of the 1967 to 1970, unafirmed talk of how the Yorubas and South South gave out the Strong and impenetrable Igbos militia strong defence line that cumulated to the Igbos lost of the war.
As a matter of fact, I admire the Igbos alot. I mean it, in a lot of ways and I feel 100% at home than my average Yoruba brother cos they are simple and hide their expressions and grievances in plane truth unlike my average and regular Yoruba brother. An average Yoruba man is most complicated cos we maintain a British conservative perspective while that's why it seems the Yorubas has remained the central players in the fate, future and history of Nigeria. The Yorubas are homogenous but complex, they are like the rope of Knowledge that ties every Nigerian tribes of over 500 tribes together. That is why an Igbo man and other tribes in the yoruba land tend to give out standing results.

Without Argument, the Igbos after the Hausas in efficiency and labour are the industrial heart beat of Nigeria. The Igbos are everywhere in Nigeria and therefore should never be seen as a minority nor inferior tribe in any way and have equal right and claims to Nigeria like the other tribes professed. The Igbos of today a highly educated and statistics today shows that the Igbos hv out beaten the Yorubas as regards priority to Education by the margin of 70% to Yoruba and 88% to the Igbos. Issues of Secession is just an idea of a few ill educated and ill informed minority individuals who are not reflective as regards the trajectories of history.

For a lot of reasons, the 1st thing that comes to the mind of other over 500 average Nigerian tribe when they encounter or come across An Igbo man or Woman is this, "THE TROUBLE MAKERS" or "Here Comes The Trouble Makers," but believe me you need to take your time to understand the nature, orientation, psychology and the history of an Igbo man before you judge them. They are naturally mountain people and as such there ancestors are warriors with a defensive and offensive outlook to life. A detailed study in the cause and heat of the 1967 - 1970 war is enough an expository that Odimegwu Ojukwu was one of the best brains in the Nigerian Military at that time and as such, the Igbos almost won that war had they have the equal means and support the Nigerian government had. The Igbos were just by far too much out numbered as their were more military casualty on the part of the Nigerian government than the little fraction Ojukwu Militia., To be frank no sane human will want to embrace a government that nearly wiped out its race from existence as it takes extra courage to look past such incidence and inhuman act in history. It takes a rational and strong forgiving heart to do that. Some how and some where along the line, Ojukwu admitted his defaults and his dastardly expended dexterity of his Military power inspired by emotional and sentimental or personal connotations which dragged down his innocent tribes along the pathways over a few in disciplinary and uncontained military rancour that fested on its officers creeds and duel for showmanship and parades of the Uniform Power.

To be frank, My 3 best friends on this planet earth are Igbos, And if your are a single man due for marriage and ask for my opinion on the choice of woman ideal as a wife material, believe me, Igbo women are the best wife material in Nigeria as they are sure to stand thing and tall with you till death.

It's unfortunate how the Igbo culture and tradition is pitched against the right of the Igbo women to social life. I believe something good can still come out of these Nazarethans of Nigeria as we still have some great and dynamic names from the eastern part of Nigeria but the truth remains that some elements of weed and pack of wolves that surrounds them won't allow them to flourish and come to light.

It is almost a custom that the Yorubas are the most brilliant tribes in Nigeria but today, it seems the Igbos are fast breaking that spell and jinx to gain an edge for quality education to dispose the Yorubas of the over due long credited fronts and claims. But Been brilliant is different from been intelligent. The Igbos have alot to learn from the Hausas and the Yoruba culture and community. The insurgency and pilfering Hausa Fulani crisis in the North has nothing to do with an average Hausa man from the North nor Islam as a religion; It is more of a loose free running bandits that has infiltrated our porous borders and has in effect infected and, poisoned a few Uneducated Northerners!! Let nobody cease this as a privilege to divide and desecrate Nigeria. The Igbo race of Nigeria will do well only if the Igbo leaders and followers can come together and ask themselves what went wrong and whats the way forward.
I believe there are still some good Igbos that are exceptionally good and by content of character are by far better of the best of Yorubas and Hausas but these are just a few people with great exposure and sharp intuition. Come 2019 election, an Igbo candidate will be my Choice of Presidential Candidate, be it Charles Soludo, Dr Obiangeli Ezekwezili, Rochas Okorocha or Rotimi Amaechi. I believe in people who believe in the success and good will of Nigeria together as one.
Only The miserable and misechieveous people will continue to have reasons for blood shed. Those who have nothing good can never have reasons to give anything good because they have nothing good to give.

I use this platform to endorse an Igbo President come 2019. God bless the Igbos!! God bless Nigeria!! And among my choice are Prof Charles Soludo, Rochas Okorocha, Chris Ngige, Rotimi Amaechi and a host of other well meaning igbos.

PoliticsRe: Great Ife And The Failure Of The Gown - By Reuben Abati by Ade3000yrs(m): 5:47pm On Aug 12, 2016
ANBAKO:
I have been reading some depressing stories about the state of the Obafemi Awolowo University, formerly University of Ife, which provide an equally depressing metaphor for the state of higher education in Nigeria. Great Ife as that university is known to its staff, students and alumni, is probably Nigeria’s first model university in every respect. Its major competitors were the University of Ibadan, the University of Lagos, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. But Ife was far ahead in terms of the beauty of its environment and the facilities made available to staff and students. Built with Cocoa money (not petro-dollar!) by the Western Region Government, that university was a perfect illustration of the idea of the university and it managed to produce generations of scholars and students, known for nothing but distinction.

I studied at the University of Calabar (Malabites!), and at the time, I took time out to visit all the universities I mentioned earlier. In those days, the top universities in Nigeria were tourism destinations. Ibadan and ABU had the best bookshops anyone could think of, and the bookshop in UNILAG was also professionally run. UNN students insisted that they attended the University of Nigeria! But Ife had the most beautiful campus. It was the only university that had a special publication titled “Ife University in Pictures.” I remember receiving copies of that publication as a gift at different times from my friends: Kola Ogunleye, Akeem Adewuyi, and Kayode Ajala who served in the university as a youth corps member.

Whenever UNIFE students spoke about their university, you would think it was a little piece of heaven that had been converted to a university. They spoke about beauty, excellence, intellect and great scholarship. Every lecturer on the campus was painted like an Oracle at Delphi. So much mythology mixed with tales of absolute excitement attracted other students to the university. Curiousity once took the better part of me also, and I went on a visit to see the marvellous depiction of a campus in physical reality. I was not disappointed. Great Ife was great. I did not go to the classrooms, but my friends took me round. The University had just opened a Bukateria at the time, where everything was available. Driving into the campus itself was a delight; well-manicured flowers at both ends, long, comforting, welcoming drive.

We moved from one hall of residence to the other, where the students felt as if they were God’s special creations, lucky to be receiving education in one of the brightest spots on planet earth. I didn’t like the arrogance of the typical Ife student or graduate, even the girls had a special bounce to their gait, even if less pretty than our girls in Calabar, and I always quipped that flowers and beauty do not make a university, rather it is the intellectual content, but even in this regard, Ife was well-regarded. It boasted of some of the brightest guys in academia: that was in those days when Nigerian universities were centres of excellence, knowledge, discipline and distinction. Let’s add culture, for truly culture matters, and in educational matters, culture is perhaps everything, and there were scholars in Ife who had grown to become cultural icons in their respective fields.

The visits to Ife as expected always ended up at the newly launched Bukateria. Good food. Great ambience. And from the Bukateria Complex, there was a place we always visited for palm wine. I think they called it Old Bukka, close to the theatre. The halls of residence – Awolowo, Fajuyi, Moremi, Angola, Mozambique were exciting too; the students behaved as if each hall was a country unto itself, with each student having a permanent badge of identity. The students had quadrangles in every Faculty, and a Sports Complex, where my friend Akeem ended up with a black belt in Karate in addition to a degree in Architecture. Indeed, the University of Ife that I describe could compete at the time with any top university in the world. I have been to quite a few as a regular or executive student, there is no doubt that the university environment, where the gown is a special symbol, is meant to be a combination of everything that is excellent, to impart knowledge in a friendly environment where the student is groomed to become great citizens in society and for knowledge to be produced for the advancement of mankind. That is the ideal!

This is why it is particularly tragic that the same Great Ife is now a shadow of its former self. These days, more than 30 years after that glorious era that I describe, students of Obafemi Awolowo University, are now reported to be protesting over dilapidated halls of residence and terrible facilities. That bad? There was even a picture in the newspapers of OAU students fetching water from a stream! And I read one columnist calling on the university’s alumni to hurry up and rescue their alma mater. Please, is it that bad? But the story of this tragedy is the larger story of the Nigerian education system. My generation (waoh, man don dey old oh) went to school in this same country, and from kindergarten to doctorate, we can only recall in comparison with emergent realities, good memories. Once upon a time, our secondary schools were like higher institutions, but today our universities, with a few exceptions, are no better than secondary schools, and the secondary schools are no better than poultries. In those days, there were school principals who were more famous than state governors, commissioners, and traditional rulers, because they were known for their ability to manage schools and produce excellent students. There were government schools, there were mission schools, there were private schools, but there were standards, competition and quality.

A whole generation of students has now passed through the Nigerian education system without any memory of those good old days. What they know is the story of distracted teachers who sell handouts or beg for money from parents. What they know is the tragedy of a school system where teachers are perpetually protesting about lack of pay, lack of facilities and the inadequacy of everything. What they know are lecherous male teachers asking for sex in exchange for marks. What they know are ugly campuses, with no toilet facilities, no water, no light. When they hear about the gown, what they imagine is a gown in tatters, now terribly disconnected from the town. In our time, companies and government departments came to campuses or the NYSC camp to recruit staff, the school-to-work transition was so smooth and certain that even nurses and midwives upon graduation were sure of a decent future.

As an undergraduate, our room was cleaned, our beds were laid, and the cafeteria fed us well at cheap rates; we had water, we had uninterrupted electricity supply, our teachers were smart and committed, life was good. There were students in Nigerian universities from all parts of the world; the ones from Southern Africa were even sponsored by the Nigerian government and they were happy to be here, so happy some of them focused on our girls and caused problems each time they got drunk. But today, who will send a student to Nigeria?

Everything changed the moment government went mad, and till date that madness has not been cured. That madness started in 1984 with the removal of education subsidy. My point is: the present administration must see the need to properly define the role of government in the education sector, and further work out the details about sustainable development. The rot of past decades is so deep, the crisis so bad, as has been described, and the marks are still evident, only sustained intervention can make the difference. And if I may say so, this is one sector where government subsidy will be a good idea.

It is of course clear that President Buhari in his second coming wants to be remembered as the man who fixed Nigeria. He tried it in his first coming but he didn’t have a definite mandate. Now, he has the people’s mandate, plus extra-ordinary goodwill, and he is still determined to achieve his original objective. He wants to catch thieves. Fine. The only irony is that even General Sani Abacha did exactly the same thing, but other governments came and rewrote the narrative. Thief-catching is certainly okay! Perfect. It will excite the mob, extract vengeance, and may be promote justice, but President Buhari must begin to look to the future and build his own concrete legacy. His record in Nigeria in the long run, will be his legacy, but it must be that kind of legacy that cannot be re-written by revisionists.

President Buhari must begin to look to the future and build his own concrete legacy. His record in Nigeria in the long run, will be his legacy, but it must be that kind of legacy that cannot be re-written by revisionists. So, what then, is his legacy project? I believe he can capture the society at the younger level: by investing in the historians of tomorrow and making their today better; by re-creating the future of Nigeria, by atoning for the past, by using public funds to secure the future of Nigerian children.

So, what then, is his legacy project? I believe he can capture the society at the younger level: by investing in the historians of tomorrow and making their today better; by re-creating the future of Nigeria, by atoning for the past, by using public funds to secure the future of Nigerian children. Those young boys and girls in Nigerian public schools who are being poorly served, sitting in badly shaped classrooms, being taught by unpaid teachers; those undergraduates in higher institutions who graduate and have to be re-schooled by their employers before they can be found manageable; those graduates who learn research and science by simulation and who cannot compete in the international arena of skills; those unhappy teachers in our schools who are busy looking for other jobs on the side; all the children in special schools who have been forgotten by government, all the Nigerian children who are out of school, all those boys and kids who graduate from university but know nothing – they all need President Buhari. And time is not on his side. And he cannot do it alone. Many state Governors have shown that they take their cue from him: most of them refused to appoint Commissioners, until he appointed Ministers. They should be part of this legacy project.

The President should launch an aggressive restoration programme in the education sector that takes off from where the Jonathan administration signed off. The rot is so age-long, so deep, that no Nigerian President in many years to come can ever have enough time to fix all the problems with Nigeria. But every President that comes along can either leave a scratch, a mark, or a legacy. It is up to President Buhari to make his choice. Salaam.

CultureRe: 10 African Cultural Excuses That Must End by Ade3000yrs(m): 5:32pm On Aug 12, 2016
ANBAKO:
1. For the sake of our children – Many women and men stay in toxic marriages because of children. Really? This is one of the oldest outdated ways to suffocate your life. When one asks their parents, siblings, friends, religious leaders for advice, we encourage them to “hang on” or pray. The result is, traumatised and angry children, physical and emotional abuse and, a quick exit from planet earth.

2. African pension – You raise your kids expecting them to pay back by taking care of you in old age. This is total BS! Why make your children slaves? Work hard, make your children independent, plan for your old age and let your children use the money they earn to settle down and build their own lives. Teach them to think with the end in mind, not to be dependants! While you are at it, write your Will, when you die, let us celebrate you not fight over your earthly belongings.

3. Because I am the first-born in our family – Just because you are the first born in your family you must take care of your parents, marry first before your siblings etc… Said who? What would happen if you were not able to take care of them? Would they die? And that marriage thing… Nkt!!

4. Africans cannot speak their mind, because our “culture” teaches us to be polite – We are expected to say what people want to hear and not the real truth about what we feel. This is a lack of integrity we are taught and hear from when we are children. No wonder we cannot say no or speak out when things are going wrong.

5. Burying someone at “home” – People incur huge costs transporting a body “home” and feeding mourners. What is the value? The person is dead anyway. Back in the day many communities never buried their dead, they left them (some very sick) in the bush. Why do we burden each other with useless expenses? Then you hold a fundraiser and ask us to help you give a send-off to your loved out. Eish!! Cremation is also an option by-the-way.

6. Respect “those in authority with money” – What happened to us? We now ‘respect’ those who have swindled, stolen and are corrupted as the great gods. Have you seen how we treat them in church? We even invite them to help us build churches, schools, hospitals and clap really hard when they give a generous contribution.

7. Respect your elders regardless – Why? Yes, why? An old man who rapes young girls or batters his wife should be respected? A mother and church elder who warns her grandchildren against marrying from community X should be respected? Really? And we also never raise a finger when the village elder who is 89, marries a 16-year-old – after all our grandparents married young, right?

8. Be submissive as a woman and wife – In which century? Some women still believe they are not allowed to speak up when their entire lives are being turned upside down. You should not question your husband when he has not paid fees for your children right? Or, your husband is sexually abusing your daughter and I guess you should not say a word. OK. Continue sitting pretty

9. We will find you a husband – Decadent and out of date when we have an online dating culture. How is that going to happen? We even define or guide which community a husband must come from.

10. No man will want you because you have kids with another man – That a woman is “used goods” if she has children from another realtionship. If we define a woman based on her children and where she had them, then we have lost the plot. We forget that she had them with a man who will probably say he is “happily married”!

PoliticsNigerian Economy And Religion, Our Believe In Juju And Desperation Hype by Ade3000yrs(op):
D prettiest faces are most times of the ugliest heart. 90% of us Nigerians are poor in a lot of ways, financially, in our brain cells, in reasoning, in our businesses, moral or social ethics, because we want God to do everything for us and rain money from heaven when there are alot of common sense things u can do to make money legitimately and stay crime free. If u don't have money, some will say you are like a dead man or a dead meat, I do not agree nor disagree with this totally as suffiency of money does not equate total wellness, physically or psychologically as this values are fundamental hype to frustration and desperation. Nigerians, open your eyes, money from Agricultural venture no be voodoo nor African juju. Agriculture money is not blood money as it can jump start your status in just a year just like you have other 1,001 ventures out there that provides essential services and essential commodities that enables dollar and Naira to change hand everyday. You don't have to scam or defraud people to make money, all you need is a good name, a good and creditable integrity that you must protect at all time and distance yourself from crime, greed and fraud and maintain a mark that stands you out from the lots of 7 billion people in the world with hard work and extra sacrifices. To be extra and do something extra, you must be ready to go the extra mile for results and solutions. Sure alot of people are into fraud and scam and vicious fetish venture but believe me, you wont want to plead for their sorry head when they are paraded in the court of law and made to face d music and consequence of their hand work.

Go agriculture and stop depending on people for money, stop waiting for money from one uncle, brother, sister, aunt or your friends, government aid or a Bank loan. When you continue to depend on people for money for too long, alot will continue to see you as a liability and find a way to do away with you or avoid you at all cost.

Stop waiting for your parents to die soon so u can inherit your share of their property, because you may also inherit another kind of poverty. 24/7 Church service devotion and mosque attendance, Satan die, Satan die, all my enemy must die, If God wanted it that way, he would have killed Satan long ago before the coming or the birth of Jesus Christ. If all your enemy die, that means sooner or later you will also follow suit because one way or the other, you are also someone else's enemy. if you have always been a receiver and a salary earner, The question you should ask yourself is when will you start giving sparingly to others and when will you start paying salarieshuh
Help ur life so that even God will pity u & intervene in your life when he sees your struggle. If you have always been living on hand out from people and you believe in God say, God say, my pastor says, my pastor says when God himself never said anything, your pastor will not always be there when u don't have a kobo in your pocket because even the church will tell you that the Church is not a Charity venture. When tins are wrong check your attitude, your association, your family, and your environment of residence perhaps u are in d wrong place. Don't wait until u wake up 20yrs later to realise you have missed out on the good episode of life and have chosen the wrong path.

Sadist are not always happy and are not always greatful for anything. Sadness is a disease that if infected, it can kill one slowly from the inside out. Heaven help those who help themselves. there is nothing like Juju, blood money or abracadabra except u want one stupid miserable harbalist baba to eat your money. Of a truth, God is good and do not forsake the association of the brethren. Spending 24/7 in d Church & Mosque won't help u either. Good work equate good reward, if u look and think well enough. As matters in the country becomes more challenging with increasing risk day by day, believe me, money; Naira and Dollar still change hand everyday and no matter the disagreement between this two, alot of people are smiling to the bank everyday. Whatever project you planned to go into with your tangible savings or loans, please think it through thoroughly because when you try and miss, don't begin to plead not guilty like the man who confessed to the judge that the devil should be blamed for his crime. More so Don't continue to admit that every calamity you are going through is the hand work of God!! Don't continue to nurse the idea that there is a witch or wizard some where doing you. I am from Ogun state, the home to the biggest set of juju believers in Yoruba land and also home to the biggest set of the most influential men in the history of Nigeria at large and among the Yoruba land in Nigeria, but if you go to my state, the level of under development is alarming and near zero, Thanks to the present Government Ibikunle Amosun who is doing alot to put a right alot of wrongs. This case is also visible in some part of the Eastern and Southern states of Nigeria; High level of desperation in people, the use of charm, the patronage to ritualist, kidnapping and blood money for fast money that will never come is of a national concern. Kidnapping, money ritualist, chaos inclined men everywhere, I must tell you categorically that the idea of juju in Africa is a big scam and only bought and patronized by scammers and greedy men. Blood money is not ATM, who ever buys the idea and acknowledges the power of juju is always an accomplice or a culprit to a crime to humanity one way or the other.

Believe me, we have too many things pulling down and pulling aback development in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. The white men who gave us the idea of witches and wizard and religion has evolved over the years and today, their land is a mecca, a kind of promise land and like a jewel in the desert that everyone of us like to visit. Some will even like to go and brush their mouth there in the morning, take their breakfast, lunch and dinner in the United States only to return to Nigeria at night to sleep for fear of eating poison in Nigeria. People built these countries of envy as countries don't build people but people build countries. A man without anything good and of good moral values can never give anything good. Such people can never raise good kids and family with good moral values.

Imagine you or your kid walking the street someday and it happened that one was kidnapped and ends up in a desecrated environment with a pack of lunatics who patronize and entertain the idea of Juju, occult power or blood money for fast wealth, the rest will be cock and bull story. The case is usually very ugly and a counter productive idea. It is sickening when you here learned men in Africa patronise the idea of juju with the claims that its important for protection, my question remains, protection from who and for whathuh Devil, Devil Devil, God God God, believe me, behind every evil excluding natural disaster which a few can be avoided, Man is the centre of gravity of every actions and therefore must be help responsible or accountable.

I believe in The Freedom of Religion as it invention was meant to make man less vulnerable to evil, believe me, to some people today, the effect of religion and hype of spirituality is making them worse evil than the ones they are trying to kill. Don't be too heavenly conscious and earthly useless. To buttress the idea of juju or black voodoo, some will say what of reference to the quotations in the bible that says "We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and power, rulers of darkness in high places." This is very true without dispute. But believe me, that scripture was addressing the chiefly office of a man who decides the fate of others, the architect of chaos, just like the pyramid chain of power, the predator and the pray.

The reason why Development is almost at a stand still in Nigeria is because we have allowed alot of Politicians to take advantage of our weaknesses, and differences to squeeze juice us in the name of Religion and Tribe. Believe me, the idea of juju or voodoo in Africa is a scam and to continue to believe in it is to continue to make yourself vulnerable to what we are running from. May God help our good work and our good effort! My ideology remains, man is a wolf to his fellow man. Spiritism and mysticism is deep, Africa is built on a pile of falsified claims of spiritism. Avoid people who argue about religion. Avoid people who argue about tribalism. Be mindfull of the kind of church or mosque you go to or the kind of religious leaders you follow for alot of these people have skeletons in their cupboard, when you go to a church and the pastor says that this week 10 people among a congregation of 20,000 will receive their car key and promotion letter, believe me and trust your intuition, you dont need someone else to tell you to run from such fellowship. Such a pastor don't care about you but your tithe and offering and the number of his church member increasing. I am a Christian and I must say categorically that the rate of desperation among we christians is higher than that of the Muslims. That is Why you will prefer to hire an Hausa man to be the security guard of your multimillion naira venture than to have a bunch of Igbo guys, Yoruba guys and guys from South South of Nigeria for these tribes are by the virtue of culture, association and religion aspire to buy private jet in one month. Sure we also have criminal minded Muslims due to lack of proper education and ideal exposure. Some imams as well are not exempted from this practice of voodoo and black magic and some young guys out there who claim they are cult gangs and keep the company of their likes that are hyped with weeds, booze, cokes and drugs. In these days where the values of peace and the need for security has become an option, its very important to know the calibar of people you deal with into details and be mindful of the kind of association you keep and stay sharp and 100% security conscious. Report any suspicious activity to the police and the appropriate law enforcement agents for the greater good of One Nigeria.

To hell with the idea of juju and voodoo market and patronage that has held back Development from Africa for ages and that has rendered Africa counter productive for many years. I believe a change begins with you. Reference: Read the book "the invention of religion," by Alexander Drake. Watsapp 09099176956

If its a lie, pls do mk it clear on d this thread. My advice for u is this, go back to elementary school.
U are highly unfit for my audience and this is evidence enough that u know nothing about agriculture. If u are confused where u got it wrong, go back and read my post again. U are still 3,000yrs behind me, and if u continue like this my history will always be your dream while I am always 3,000yrs ahead of u. Plantain can be planted in southern Nigeria without irrigation provided it gets at least 3 to 4 months of rainfall before the dry season.

The op seems to know little or nothing about Plantain farming. The first thing that came to my mind was the question word1 asked - what spacing? Planting 10,040 suckers in 10ha is planting with a spacing of 5m by 2m. The op is seriously not serious.
My question for u is this, who is your mentor because making ur self a band wagon of hoplessness will never get u far enough. My audience for u is zero, if u want answer to ur questions, go back to whoever must hv tot u about plantain farming maybe something is missing.

AgricultureWhat You May Not Know About Fish Farming by Ade3000yrs(op):
It must be said that all forms of fish pond has its advantages and disadvantages, from Concrete Pond to Earthen Fish Pond to Collapsible or Tarpauline Fish Pond.

This Analysis is intended to emphasise the cost requirements for 1,000 fish capacity of a concrete fish pond, the dos and donts, the cost of set up & management cost for a duration of 6 months and how to crop and harvest your fish pond every month or every 2 months if you have a set of 6 to 7 ponds. Also these article is intended to suggest alternative feed options to help cut cost against wastage of resources, management approach, employable skills and mechanism, marketing & processing options for a desired result. It must be noted that a minimum of 3 ponds will be needed to start a standard commercial fish farm.

The 3 sections are needed for the purpose of Nursery pond, grow out pond for the adult fish, and the 3rd designated for sorting as the fishes grow in varying sizes.
Pond Construction: It must be stressed that with #55,600 Naira, you can afford a concrete fish pond excluding the cost of aerator which is not always mandatory but if you must employ the use of fertilizers in your fish pond and allow for longer time to change your water, then the use of aerator is expedient at an extra cost of #20,000 naira.

Here is a detailed break down of a concrete pond construction: For a pond size of 6ft width X 12ft length X 4ft height.

The blocks needed for a unit pond are 4blocks X 8 blocks X 5 blocks= 160 blocks needed per unit pond at #150 per block = 160 x 150= #24,000 worth of blocks.
1 tons of sharp sand per unit pond = #3,000
1 tons of granite stones per unit pond = #4,200
4 bags of Cement per unit pond = 4 x #1,600 = #6,400
Pond Construction workmanship = #6,000
plumbing materials and workmanship = #6,000
Carpenter material & workmanship for wood work pond top covering = #6,000.
TOTAL cost per unit pond = #55,600, therefore the cost of 6 to 7 unit concrete pond for a technical and routine harvest every month will be for a span of 6 month cycle = #55,600 x 6 = #333,600 naira. If plus aerator for a consistent oxygen supply in situation whereby pond fertilization is needed, it will be #55,600 concrete pond cost + #20,000 aerator cost = #75,600. Therefore 6 units = #75,600 x 6 = #453,000 naira. With this cost, you are sure to have 6 ponds with a bonus to make it 7 ponds all together in case u chose to stock 2,000 fishes for a start but it must be noted that a unit pond of 6ft B x 12 ft L x 4ft H can only accommodate 1,000 fishes at most and such limit must not be exceeded as the feeding cost and management quality approach are also contributive factors to determine your out put.
This cost excludes other essential essential provisions which are believed to be readily improvised before the conception of a concrete fish pond idea and whose cost are as follows.
Scaffolding for the suspensions of 2 GP tanks are = #120,000
GP tanks of 5,000 liter capacity X 2 = #45,000 X 2 = #90,000.
Submersible pump = #28,000
Surface pump = #15,000
Borehole = #250,000 (only in the west and south of Nigeria but most likely to be higher in the east or Northern part of Nigeria due to elevation and topography ).

Cost of Shooters fingerlings or Juvenile: at #25 per shooter, #25 x 1050= #26,250.
FEEDING COST: for 1,000 / 1050 fishes, you need between 80 to 100 bags of feed to nurse your fish to a 6 months harvest. if a bag of high formula or foreign feed is at #7,250 therefore 100 x #7,250 = #725,000 or to cut cost, you can buy 20 bags of imported for the 1st 2 months and 80 bags of local for the last 4 month. If 20 x #7,250= #145,000, and 80 x #5,200 of local = #416,000; therefore, #145,000 + #416,000 = #587,250.

For 80 bags of 6 months feed budget cost for 1000 to 1050 fishes, we can also feed the fishes with 20 bags of foreign for the 1st 2 months at #145,000; 60 bags of local for the last 4 months. 60 bags x #5,200= #312,000. For those of you who may worry about the size and cost of feed for the fingerlings or juveniles for the 1st 8 weeks or 2 months, get the regular imported feed size of 3 to 10mm and grind to fine granules of 0.8mm to 2mm at the feed mill and use it for your starter stocks. Don't forget to budget to budget #30,000 for your multivitamin, antifungal and antibacterial, fertilizers and mineral supplements.

Here are the total cost in summary depending on your budget.

For 100 bags of imported feed all through with 6 to 7 ponds construction: #725,000 + #453,600 + #30,000 = #1,208,600.
For 100 bags of imported feed all through the 6 months with a single pond : #587,250 + #75,600 + #30,000 = #692,750.

For 80 bags of mixed feed with 20 bags of imported and 60 bags of local feed with the cost of 6 to 7 ponds of 6ft B x 12ft L x 4ft H : #312,000 + #453,600 + #30,000 = #795,600.

For 80 bags of feed with 20 bags foreign and 60 bags local with a single pond budget: #312,000 + #75,000 + #30,000 = #417,000. Your resources or capital at hand will determine your budget.
