Which Counter Productive & Bizarre Culture In Nigeria That Should Be Banned?

To nip cultism & ritual practice in the bud in Nigeria & Africa, we have to address the underlying factors paving way to the needs, significance or better quote "the redundancy of culture" as the word "culture" has been over stretched to lose its essence and tasting in Africa such that no new generational nor millennial would want to entertain the out of place sour word "culture".

It is obvious that there is almost no organisation nor social gathering in Africa today that does not harbour the interest of obscured cultural structure, tradition & occult practice which to me has been a reference for set back and evolution in Nigeria & Africa at large. Our blind & myopic traditional practice has for ages been our centre piece for retrogression. The kidnapping, the get rich quick desperation syndrome through ritual killings, the blood letting in our political pursuits and expeditions; all are the accents of our preservation of obscured, obsolete and archaic cultural values.

From our corporate establishment, government offices, schools, tertiary institutions & ministries, religious establishments such as churches, mosque & traditional body Nigeria has had her bitter tasting over the years in this turbulent pathway. For the purpose of enlightenment, I will like us to expose the bizarre, mind bugling & archaic mouth gaping culture that we know should never be allowed in our social life as civilization demands of us. I know in Nigeria and the rest of the entire African countries no tribe nor country nor religion is exempted from this mouth gaping reality.

Lets come out of the euphoria or delusions of what we hear in the everyday news & media or what Nollywood project at us and states the facts for what it is. It is obvious that some custodians of culture, royalties, religious bodies, community leaders & politicians are behind these heinous counter productive culture which if not address in the shortest while could make the hope of duplicating an American liberty society an expedition of mirage & delusion or a wishful conception for the next 500 years in Africa.

As ugly as it is, imagine the ritual surrounding royalty in Africa to sit, crown or deposed a king or to appease the gods from time to time whereby fresh human heads are often priced? cases of missing persons who have been lost or found their way into the arms of ritualist dismembered in the hope of making quick money as we brandish it "yahoo plus" selling human body parts, pants & bra? Imagine cases whereby you have goats or cow are requested to renew marriage rites or whereby outrageous amount are requested from a man proposing marriage as part of list requirement as if the bride in-laws meant to acquire a landed property in the city? The ugly list is endless in Africa

Shame on Africa

Religion is the biggest scam ever pulled on Africans by the colonial masters and we are yet to wake nor evolve from the euphoria. We bought the bait hook line & sinker and we are now hopelessly hooked on it like a cocaine addiction. Who owns the church if we may ask? The Church of the people, by the people & for the people? No contribution to human capital development, entertainment & social facility infrastructures, refinery revamp efforts. Its obvious
these people have alot to hide by erecting mouth gaping business edifice in the name of church auditorium for the work of God.

Without controversy. It must be said that these so called pastors & acclaimed men of are blatant scammers & constitute the bulk of persons that aids & abate social vices & financial desperation & loss of moral values in a lot of ways. The activities of these pastors lacks economic affiliations & significance. In Africa, we are all mentally & psychologically sold out. How come we have the best of church auditoriums in the world, the best of christian schools in the world but the worst of national economy tandems & the worst of functional social infrastructure. Non of these pastors are talking about the revamp of the Ajaokuta steel project in Kogi to boost industrialisation & the revamp of the Nigerian refineries. Many of this pastors are clueless & hopeless and worse than most Nigerian politicians disguised in cassock claiming men of God. Pastors are like incubators to ritualist and social vices, pedaling the business of make believe. Most people who come to these churches to pay tithe & sow seed are as well diabolic who sees these churches as shrine as they bring the proceeds of their illicit loots to appease the gods in the name of coming to worship God in Church. Most of these Pastors are not just after money nor religious relevance but also political relevance for the purpose of vote buying among their faithfuls.

From Oghara to Jesse and the rest environs, these ritualist in disguise as yahoo plus are lurking almost everywhere in the remote area of Delta. These ritualist have been into this practise for over 40 years. I know of someone who was first associated with a mental case but taken to Jesse town for the needed care only to be later found dead & vital organs dismembered in the bushy area of the town for close to 3 decades now. Both the state government, federal & local government needs to sit up to answer & tackle a lot of security gaps & vacuum. Delta! Delta! Delta!

Hmmm, lets not be too quick to comment as if the affairs of the Nigerian military versus the mischievous terrorist miscreants were some sort of Chelsea versus Barcelona European Championship football showdown. All I can say is that the military is winning the fight. Nigeria has come a long way in combating insurgency on her territory. The seemingly faceless ragtags are now know with faces & demystified. However the military & the entire security structure is not where it should be due to government negligence & neptism putting the lives of its force operatives at risk on every operation, All I can say categorically is that we are going places and the Nigerian military is one of the top to be reckoned with in the world and number one in Africa. The Nigerian military only need to incorporate innovation to win the war in one swoop & squash the living day light out of the miscreants & enemy of peace & progress.

The Nigerian military needs to embrace the art of digital warfare. Nigeria needs to go from analogue warfare to digital warfare. With more robots on counter insurgent expedition and less humans to reduce number of casualties on the part of the military and the entire security operatives. smoking out the insurgency even before it was ever conceptualised. nipping the crime in the bud before they are ever committed. Government needs to invest heavily on human resources & promoting or strengthening social values.

If we were to come back to your citation, would you rather prefer to eat your #30 naira beans and #50 naira rice in the comfort of your house with steady light on, no fear of mosquitoes, no fear of gun shots in the air nor stray bullet, no cases of robbery or desperation in the atmosphere, no fear of your child of relatives been kidnapped unlike the explorative activities that persist in the south south with degraded or deplorable environmental status with bunkering, hazardous pipeline vandalization, armed robbery, hostage taking and kidnapping been the order of the day.
