Till today, these acclaimed and admired countries still have their peculiar problems and challenges that if meted on Nigerians and Africans will sink our economy completely, and our fall, pain and agony will be astronomically sharp and sour.
For me, I still consider Nigeria and the rest of the Africa countries as virgin and green horn in the eye and in the light of truth, conscience and knowledge.
So that we don't rescind into becoming an inexperienced powerful child with a nuclear war head that can consume the world in its darkest hour like the Waring Post Soviet States of Abkhazia and Georgia, Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan along with Armenia, Novorossiya and Ukraine, South Ossetia and Georgia, Transnistria and Moldova, Gagauzia and Moldova, Chenchen of Ichskeria and Russia.
Let's not separate the heart from our bosom chest in a jolly experiment. Amorously, So that our 40 days journey does not become a 40 years extensional Exodus like the people of Israelites, Only the lazy and the weak amongst us expect the hocus pocus in one night. It is believed that the western states of Nigeria are the safest. I have traveled far and wide and transverse the nook and crany of Nigeria, Believe it or not, Osun is the Safest State in the Entire Nigeria!! It is the honest truth. The government invest heavily on security and psyche of peoples need for peaceful coexistence and community policing and he is not ready to compromise on this. If you are productive and have something productive you are doing, Osun state is a place to be. Infact it is only an Hausa man you will do business with in Nigeria without fear of ever been cheated.
And if you may ask, how will they continue to control Nigerian's economy when they are the least educated and knowing so little? Hmmm The answer is breath taking, its like you asking me to rephrase the Jacob and Easau's pudding story, "He who has the food has the power," " He controls the food you eat has he is the natured designed or assigned minister of Agriculture and food production." Considering our Precolonial template, Nigeria was a country designed for Agriculture and Agro allied industry, and never for oil. A lot of people like you and I have deviated from that purpose but the few that maintained the callings are the likes of our revered Sir Aliko Dangote. This Aboki Man is providing food, jobs, industry and housing for you and I as many more of his kind are already under way. Without been religious bias, The Hausa man has over the years been a blessing to Nigeria for progressiveness. No Hausa, no Nigeria! considering alot of our past head of states to the worst head of state, General Sanni Abacha, to our entertaining General Ibrahim Babangida and one of my greatest mentor of all time, General Olusegun Obasanjo, To our revered General, President Muhammad Buharri, have all contributed greatly to agriculture but our reluctant attitude towards Agriculture has led us to where we are in the name of oil.
Infact, Abacha saw the consolidation of my School, Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta and 2 other Federal University of Agriculture to fruition but were majorly pioneered by IBB and OBJ to include the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike. This are the same people you and I condemned that they had no clue on how to run a country like Nigeria. For their loots, I cannot commend as am not a politician, Nigerians decides their fate.
We are all still dreaming oil money. The game in the OPEC industry has changed in disfavour of Nigeria and has long as we are still dreaming oil money, eating oil money, importing our consumables and products, the dollar will still continue to disgrace us. No matter how high we spend, if you like buy the entire Banana Highland and the entire Lekki Real Estate, Buy the entire 3rd Mainland bridge, Buy the tallest set of sky scrapers on broad streets and Victoria island of Lagos or if possible by Capitol house in Aso rock, Enugu GRA, and all the oil well block in Delta and Port Harcourt in a way its all still ends in a flop sided economic course as all this business are already becoming faced out as they no longer contribute to any economic stimulation.
The Nigerian schools Produces 4 million graduates every year and only 20 to 40 thousand manages to secure a job to get by. the remaining 3.96 million are like liabilities brought forward in the following year. It has been projected by the FAO that by the year 2025, 65 million people will be hit by poverty across the Urban centers and mega cities of Nigeria and except your on a monthly salary scale of #150,000 naira, you may be one of the lots. Plans are already on the way to start aggressive commercial scale in the north and to invest in Geo thermal and renewable energy so that 80% of FG revenue on exports will be agriculture based. It is wise and best you reposition yourself or relocate if the need be for this purpose. The Agro based industries are coming from Europe, Germany, Russia, USA, Netherlands, Israel, China, India, sure this will all stimulate the Nigerian economy and revive our industry with a lot of belly and pocketfull with smiling faces, but we must do something material and tangible to demonstrate our readiness to encourage this investors to come in. Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Iran, Iraq, Russia, Kuwait, UAE, USA, Libya, DR Congo has all made our oil business a puppet show. They all have their oil reserve and exploration in trillion of barrels. The Agriculture business is now our only way out and its a game of the early bird catches the worm. I cannot say comparatively for sure who is more hard working between the Hausas and the Igbos but all I know is that the Igbos are very efficient and hardworking people to second the Hausas. Since the end of the Civil War in January 1970, considering the scale in which the Igbos and innocent civilians were victimised and subjected to dehumanizing malnourished people, The world expect that by now the Igbo who would be a majors player in food production but the result is now the other way round.
We have to quit playing politics or party with our National affairs in matters of progress. Except you are into a rigid job or profession that warrant you to be permanently stationed in a megacity like Abuja, Lagos, PH, Calabar, Enugu, Aba, Onitsha, Umuhahia, It is important you relocate or secure agricultural reserved lands in key and safe places before hand. Knowledge is the foundation of everything good and productive in life; That makes a school a redemptive ground and center of every living thing. With shamfedness and a hand covering on the face, I must say Nigerian Universities and schools have failed. Apart from the National Open University which I have always rated top on the Nigerian list of best schools along with a few Federal Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges, 95% of Nigerian Schools should be completely over hauled, banned, replaced with foreign or most preferably German administrators and educational consultants or suspended until further notice pending when government has a clear head on what to do with the Nigerian Educational sector. The school is a very sensitive venture has it is the mother of other functional structures and the heart of the economy of any state or sovereignty. A bad government, a bad economy, a bad administration, a bad judiciary, a bad legislative, a bad executive and bad religion, a bad labour force, a bad industry, personnel, a bad community and a bad individual is a product of the school as its influence is vast and all encompassing.
The Nigerian school is a mine field and a slaughter ground where you dream is sniffed out like a candle light and in the end your are giving a carton called certificates. It is my strong opinion that the Nigerian School is only in the business of producing certificates and not Education that will reflect in the common man. Change a man's thinking and you change his world but give him all the billions and trillions of dollars and power in the world and you have made a beast of him; That should be the functions of the school and not the other way round.
It is my opinion that government should employ foreign hands from Germany, Norway, Netherland, Israel or Sweden to over see the top management and productive functions of the schools.
A bad student is a product of a bad teacher. We are creating more nuclear warheads than we can imagine on the name of Education and certificates behind closed doors of a poorly litted room. You cannot expect to enjoy an old rancid soup on refurbishment after the mucor and fungi build up. We must have a rethink on the challenges of education as it relates to wealth creation as its functions at large has been jettisoned. This ban should be all encompassing to include all the private and state owned universities and a good number of federal universities and polytechniques whose integrity of staffs has been compromised to service their pocket. A lot of this schools has contributed to the country's bismal and colosal economic loss and leakages.
The school should be the paragon of undiluted civility and should maintain an unbias campaign for progressive innovation and a medium for industrial development. We cannot continue to pay a blind eye and lip service to our school systems failure in effort to live up to its expectations and standards. The Nigerian poor economy and surging unemployment is where it is today because of the wrong template the school has employed over the years in matters of wealth creations and upgrading the standard of living of the common man.
The Germans has earned my preference considering their portfolio of success just 25 years after the 2nd world war which left them to start from ground zero and rising from the ash and rubble without a single grant or foreign aid, loan, bonds or bailout. Today the Germans are the reasons behind the robust economic power of the EU to rival China and the United states. The United State Capitalism economy which if employed on a full scale will only make matters worse for us like the words of the California Musician Carlos Santana, "The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Among a few list of things I admire about the Germans is their efficiency, machines, innovation, industrialisation, wealth culture, banking services. Nigeria with the Germans and the Japanese has something in common, The German 2nd world war 1939-1945, the Japanese Hiroshima and Nagasaki 1939 bombing by the USA and the Nigerian Civil war of 1967 to 1970, the two former state has recovered from the war with great economic stride shortly after the war except for Nigeria still struggling to stand 46years after the war. Things has gone from bad to worse and our school as still teaching only God knows what?? failure or productivity? sure they will point at government for poor funding.
The Nigerian schools produces 4 million graduates every year, only 30,000 to 40,000 manages to secure a manageable employment to get by, the rest 3.96 million is always a liability brought forward, and the figures goes on and on and yet 90% of Nigerians lack the quality education to man government offices and to carry about their day to day civic duties. Apart from a few universities who are ready to run a free or near free education with global standard in perspective, the rest should be banned or screened at large. No more business as usual for the schools, enough is enough. This would save the Federal government annual wasteful budget that has created appalling unemployment over the years.
Let the occupants of education boards, university councils, VCs, Profs and Rectors vacate their office and be sent packing to go out and look for job elsewhere with their certificates perhaps they will be served in their own stew and medicine, a quest to which unemployed graduates has been subjected for many years.
I believe this schools are only brandishing grammar and text materials without practical evidence and possibility of wealth creation as they don't have a clue of what they are doing. In my opinion, I believe The school create a greedy criminal mindset culture; they rob you all through your course of education and in the end say, "Now that we have robbed you and thought you how to repeat the same, go in the corporate world and be a successful and respected thief, the certificate is an ample evident for this provision, good luck." Some realized this long after many frustrated years of graduation and still in search of a decent job to consolidate a life and compensate for their years of study. that is the reason alot of companies are afraid to employ squarely on merit and on fairness basis, its either you have a strong surety in the organisation or you come in through agents who bears the risk of your employment and covets your innocence.
Only Federal government, States, NGOs & Trust should own schools and not private individuals. The idea of weather people should be allowed to travel over sea to school for me is very welcomed but a 2 ways debatable dicy matter. It should be allowed as it will encourage exposure for a global education view and the other way round discouraged to encourage home base investment as some of our Typical Nigerian mindset would use it as a medium to steal and starch money in foreign account.
It is in my opinion that the German language should be encouraged in schools to second our official English Language. I believe this initiative will encourage and draw in foreign investments as the Americans, Canadians, Australians, Japanese, Chinese, France, Israel, Russians, Brazil, Ukrain, Netherland, Swedish, South Africa, Australia, Ghana, Koreans, Brazilians, British, French, Spanish, Italians will all be queueing up for Nigerian Visa as most will come with the intent to naturalize and do business so as to benefit from our robust economy as long as they know we have their German brother known for efficiency at the helm of affairs as I maintain a very high degree of convincing view of the German economy and management ethics. All other Nigerian debilitating economic sector should be revisited with the same overhauling model as its need is now expedient. I believe it will be a breath taking relief and a big revolution for the Nigerian Education industry towards a greater productivity and a robust economy. As It is outrightly useless for Nigerian Best sector of human resource to Produce counter productive graduates in the 1st place. The case of our Educational system and tertiary institutions is just like the case of a woman giving birth to Children in litters all year round when she knows she lacks the capacity for equitable values to bestow her offspring. Our Nigerian schools are producing graduates that far outweighs the the limits of their capacity. Capacity in measures of been up dated with their peers in the developed world. the other Private schools are only taking advantage of this deficiency. presently, I am 100% in support of those who send there wards and kids abroad for quality education.
