It still happens where I work, till this moment I have no gotten my salary of last month. Its been so like forever, we have made complains but nothing change.

If you work for any company that pays salary in the new month, it clearly shows that the management have no regard for your welfare. I'm talking from experience. I once worked in an organization that pays salary haphazardly at times 3rd, sometimes 6th. It's just a ploy to keep you and to shortchange you. If you are paid at the new month instead of ending, you are missing a month salary annually. Most company that do this don't give staff bonus at the end of the year, they use the remaining one month as bonus for you and you will be happy for those of you that don't know mathematics. I started work June 1, I endured till December and resigned this January. Nobody should use me to climb up unduly. I'm young and promising....

Some of these organizations are not what they paint themselves to be. Inhumane working conditions and expecting to get and keep the best hands with poor human management. That's why they will keep on recruiting every time for the same positions.

I believe having dated for a while u might have met her parents before or at least talked to her parents or sibling on the phone prior to the loan,courtesy demands that the family of your gf ought to have at least call and thank u for the loan then ask for your consent to use some of the loan say half for pressing family issues and have a repayment plan even if it not feasible,the decision is your to either give them a go ahead,a disapproval or better still u might be blessed enough to cough out another loan to help them out,that's what I think a responsible family ought to do,a responsible family should ask questions about how their daughter who doesn't have a source of income was able to raise that amount I suppose,if she really used it for family I must confess that u have been really taken for granted and this is just the tip of the iceberg of what to come if u marry her,if they can do this to their daughters fiancee imagine what would be the fate of the husband.

I believe it could also be a total extortion from your gf and the business plan was just a front to get the loan from you and been that u live in different parts of the country,she might have other hidden agendas perhaps relationships she spent the loan on.

What is the solution?

Here is my opinion, find a microfinance bank in your vicinity,explain the situation of things to the manager and promise him 10% of 500k upon release of documents to u as if the 500k were to be a loan from the bank,tell her u have a confession to make and show her the documents from the bank showing in details the repayment plan with interests,her reaction to this will let u know exactly what to do.

500k which is about 1500 USD is a reasonable amount of money even in the states and even if u are to loose this relationship at least with some juice if u are able to recoup some of the loan.

Even Dangote will be mad at you if u misappropriate 500k of his business money as he would rather dash u 1m for charity then lose 500k on a business.
