Politics › Re: Between Tinubu And Fashola by adekampe(op): 11:08am On Aug 18, 2009
@ Lady T : I am not a spokesperson for tinubu. It just amazes me how soon nigerians forget things.I can assure you that two yrs after fashola,he would also be spoken negatively about.

@ kobo junkie : If you lived in lagos pre-1999 you would know how chaotic traffic was, waste everywhere, one way driving and recklessness, area boys and touts as law enforcers above any courts or police station. .etc.Whether we agree or not tinubu returned sanity and fashola just rode on the wave and continued.
Politics › Between Tinubu And Fashola by adekampe(op): 10:36am On Aug 18, 2009
I think it is unfair that we compare the tenure of tinubu with that of fashola.A lot of people have made assetions that fashola has achieved more in two years than tinubu achieved in eight years but i dont think that is entirely true. What the people mean to say is at the pace fashola is going,he has achieved more in two years than tinubu did in his first two years and will likely achieve more in eight years if he decides to contest a second term.

Also, considering the decadence and state of lagos tinubu met it in 1999,he was faced with a lot and he did try his best to first restore sanity in the system and achieved a considerable level of development. This gave fashola the needed boost and momentum to easily continue a house that the foundation was already laid.It is very clear to that fashola is merely continuing programmes already initiated in tinubu's blueprint.he is still tinubu's boy and im happy he is achieving all that he is.but people, lets not compare the two. They began their tenure's under different circumstances and while one had it difficult and rocky, the other had it quite easy with a massive IGR system already in place.

I always wonder why people on this forum cannot speak without hurling insults. It's most dissapointing when this kind of behavior is coming from the mods who are supposed to show example, Youngdee raised some good points but those collabos with wyclef and beenie man were mere african colllabos without international reckoning.they ddint release any of those songs on their record labels.they were just adventures undertaken while they were visiting their motherland.

I respect tuface as an artiste but i dont see him as a demi-god the way some of you here do

I'm happy to see people on this thread who are open to the truth .On the music and radio thread a lot of people keep defending tuface's wrong actions instead of condemning them for the betterment of our music industry.I mean how can someone steal a person's song and some people are trying to justify his actions?those people should be ashamed of themselves.im sure if tuface had been openly condemned like this when he stole african queen he wouldnt have come this far.we should regularly call our people to order.

With the exception of hectorswag i think all the moderator's here are blindly supporting tuface when it is very clear even to a secondary school student that there's nothing genuine about that song.I dont understand why they are all trying to help him defend his lie when they should be contributing in moving our music industry forward by discouraging such fraudulent acts. How can you expect rkelly to remember everyone he takes a picture with?someone here claimed tuface is one of the biggest in africa.well my friend, that is not true.he doesnt have any world hit yet and he's not played on the MTV world network.he's still a small time african act .

wow. . . i didnt think people could be so stupid.bombsquad is bringing so many facts but all bamsyle does is rant and rant and i see some people here stupid enough to support him.Tuface as far as im concerned is no saint. He has stolen so many other songs before and will steal again.

Politics › Is This True?muiz Banire To Contest Governor In 2011? by adekampe(op): 1:17am On Jun 17, 2009
Link : http://www.thetimesofnigeria.com/Article.aspx?id=1803

Just as politicking is already in top gear towards 2011, in some states across the country, Lagos State is not left out as political undercurrent is already on as to who succeeds the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN).

A reliable political source revealed that the permutation among opinion molders in Lagos State is favourable to Dr. Muiz Banire, the current Commissioner for Environment as a good hand to carry on from wherever Fashola may stop.

Though it is yet unclear as to whether or not Governor Fashola will be contesting for the second term but the governor who has won the hearts of many Lagosians through the numerous developmental projects embarked upon by his administration is surely not ready to discuss issues of second term.

During a press conference marking the second year anniversary of Governor Raji Fashola, on Friday, May 29, 2009, when asked about his position on the issue of second term, Fashola who compared the situation to a football match, noted that he has just started the second half of his tenure and that it is out of place to ask him about next season.

According to our source, Banire who is regarded in many quarters as a disciplined politician like Governor Fashola is being groomed to take over the mantle of governorship incase Fashola decides not to contest for the second term. While he would be on a waiting list if the governor re-contest in 2011.

Dr. Muiz Banire, who read law before proceeding for his Master’s degree at the University of Lagos, was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1989. He was the Commissioner for Transportation in Lagos State during the Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s regime.

Banire is currently serving in the capacity of Commissioner for Environment in Governor Fashola’s administration, a position that saddles him with the responsibility of playing an active part in the Lagos State Mega City project, especially in the area of beautifying Lagos.
Has anyone else heard this? is it true?
