Atiku visits Orji Kalu condoles him over wife’s death



Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar on Wednesday visited the Senate Chief Whip, Sen. Orji Kalu over the death of his wife, Ifeoma.

Atiku, who arrived in Kalu’s Abuja residence at 3:30 pm expressed sadness over the loss.

While condoling the former governor of Abia, Atiku urged him to take solace that the deceased lived a purposeful life.

Atiku described her as a woman of virtue who was committed to the service of humanity.

The former Vice President prayed God to grant the deceased a peaceful rest and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Responding, Kalu commended Atiku for finding time to visit him in time of grief.

Dr Ifeoma died at the age of 61.

IGBERETV reports that the duo thereafter went into a closed door meeting which lasted for 30 minutes.

If there was a rerun it will happen within 21 days of the first presidential election in all the 36 states and the FCT. It will be between the 2 candidates with the highest number of votes. At the moment rerun can only happen between Atiku Abubakar and Bola Tinubu. Obi came 3rd he's out.

The latest date for Presidential election according to the Nigerian constitution is 18 March 2023. As it stands that will not happen.

Obi claimed he won but in reality he lost - both the highest number of votes ( where he came 3rd) and 25% in 25 states(including the FCT) where he had only 16. So Obi lost on both conditions in the Nigerian constitution to declare a winner.

Obi now has the burden of proof to show the courts how he met these 2 conditions in the constitution.

At the end of the day his case will be thrown out. He is just a bad looser trying to keep his mumu obidients in line with the hope of having some LP governors

Atiku actually has no path to victory.....because his strategy was northern votes.....unfortunately for him Kwankwaso and northern governors did not buy it coupled with G5 that were either working for Obi or Tinubu.....

It was clear that many Christians felt that after 8 years of a Muslim a christian should become President. Obi got many of those votes......

I think what PO legal team should have asked court is to compel the INEC to postpone the governoship election for period of 2 weeks to enable them have access to the data on the BVAS after which INEC can now reconfigure the BVAS instead of approaching the court to grant them access to inspect the election materials when they are aware that other elections are still coming up and knowing fully well that the same BVAS would be use to conduct the elections. Now INEC has played a smart move by postponing the election after getting an order to reconfigure the BVAS which can be manipulated in the process, case of Osun election comes to mind where two different BVAS reports was presented before the court by the same INEC. This first blunder by Obi legal team would likely mess up the whole case in my own opinion. What do you guys think?
