Mind you, Saraki have been having issues since last LG election, where opposition won some areas in Ilorin. From there I realised that if an election conducted by state government can turn out like this, then Saraki have serious problem when the real election will take place.

Apart from those that has courage to come out to confront him openly in campaign, thousands of people are quite and ready to vote against him. Civil servants are all going on low key because of threat to their job and just waiting for election day.
Those who are ready to vote against Saraki are in many way more than those coming out to campaign against him.

The momentum the ó tó gé slogan is going about in the state is making Saraki and his followers so uncomfortable that's why there are attacks everywhere in the state, most especially in the Kwara central where both Saraki and APC candidate hails from.

When you considered the margins Saraki used to win an election in the state with the help of massive rigging everyone will understand that He has to be worried because he always win with little margin, since he knows such privilege will not be available for him in the coming election, he have to result to every available means to the extent of withdrawing Kwara south senatorial district ticket from the serving governor because he knows he has no electoral value in the district. But the truth is Saraki should forget Kwara south completely because APC permutations in Kwara south have supersede his plans, reasons why PDP lost the bye election there.

LG Arrears: Saraki Fulfils Pledge to Irepodun Workers

Omu-Aran, headquarters of Irepodun Local Government Council of Kwara State was thrown into a jubilant mood on Monday as Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki fulfilled his pledge to help settle salary arrears at the council.
Announcing the payment in Omu-Aran, the Chairman of Irepodun Local Government Council, Mr Muyiwa Oladipo, said the Senate President released N16.9m to the council towards paying the arrears owed its workers.
A clearly elated Oladipo said the Senate President’s gesture will go a long way towards alleviating the challenges faced by Irepodun council workers on account of the arrears which, he emphasized, were caused by a sustained drop in Federal allocation.
The Council chairman commended Dr Saraki for the kind gesture which he described as another evidence of the Senate President’s commitment to alleviating the plight of local government workers and complementing government efforts to uplift the welfare of Kwarans.

It will be recalled that Dr Saraki had last year pledged to assist in settling local government salary arrears, starting with one from each of the three Senatorial districts in the state. Saraki’s gesture, which was applauded by local government workers, their leaders including the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the populace became reality on Monday following the reconciliation of figures by the parties concerned.
