Jobs/VacanciesRe: A Third-class Graduate Now Turning Down Job Offers From Multinationals by Ademolu2002(m): 8:03pm On Nov 10, 2017
kengreatleads:
I give this testimony to the glory of God and to the shame of the devil. At the end of my university education; through its ups and downs, bitter and sweet moments, I eventually graduated with a third-class degree in computer science. At that point in my life I was overly disappointed, highly discouraged and even suicidal on my bad days because I knew what was happening in the labour market. Every employer wanted graduates with second class upper and above for the limited and highly coveted employment slots. And here I was, I didn’t even have a 2.2, even if employers wanted to reach out in grace.

I had given my life to Christ on campus, and my thirst for God had intensified during this period. To the glory of God, even with my third-class degree, I did not sit at home as I got a job immediately, which is a whole miracle-story on its own. This job came with great exposure and an intense learning curve for me as a fresh graduate and I embraced the job even though the pay was not fantastic. Those of us who were taken by the company were put through a training programme to initiate us into Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing industry. Time went by and I emerged as one of the brightest trainees through the programme. We were soon staffed and placed on projects for multinational companies. After a while, some of my colleagues started filling out applications and searching for bigger opportunities. They would repeatedly forward job links and vacancies to me as I was considered one of the best among my peers. I did not apply for any of those positions as I was always self-defeated because of my third-class university certificate and the devil held it high up in my face all the time. I continued to do my job diligently and also develop myself in my field.

On Mother’s Day in May 2015, Pastor Nomthi preached about the unmerited grace and favour Moses witnessed in the house of Pharaoh, when there was an order to kill every male child of the Israelites. She said that Moses was not only spared but was raised as a prince. I immediately keyed into this lesson of grace and I was full of faith. I applied for a job someone had recommended me for and I was offered the position on the spot with 100 percent increase with good pension and sumptuous packages.

I thought I had seen all. Before the resumption date I was given, I was invited for another job interview with one of the telecom giants in Nigeria. Through the interview process I had to compete with the best of the best and even more experienced applicants. At the end of the interview and test process which lasted several weeks, I came out top as the preferred candidate of all. Now my problem became choosing between the two offers as they were both fantastic and had good prospects. I sought the face of the Lord who had made all these happen, and eventually I had to turn down the Multi-national Telecom Giant’s offer. Now I am at my new job and I have even been given opportunities to travel to different countries on projects (I had never travelled out of Nigeria before this job).

A month ago, another job offer came through with take-home package closing in on about half a million which I had to turn down after wide consultation and seeking the face of the Lord. I also did not apply for this job; all these opportunities came by recommendation. A third-class graduate now turning down job offers from multinational companies – it can only be God and I am here to give back ALL the praise to HIM alone.

PoliticsRe: Ephraim Inyang-Eyen To Open Provision Store For 23-Year-Old Okada Rider by Ademolu2002(m): 4:45am On Nov 07, 2017
Angelanest:
It was all emotional moment earlier today when the Commissioner for Works, Akwa Ibom State, Mr Ephraim Inyang-Eyen, changed the story of one Michael Jacob Etim, a native of Obotim in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area. The 23 year-old Michael, who told the Commissioner that he lost his father when he was still a toddler, was one of the spectators during the demolition exercise of paid structures on the Uyo-Etinan Road.

On how he spotted the 23 year old, the Commissioner said, he noticed "a very young boy on a motorcycle and decided to approach him".

During a conversation, Michael revealed that he started riding the Motorcycle since two years ago to feed his family of five, excluding his mother, and has been making returns of Three Thousand Naira (N3,000.00) weekly to the owner of the 'okada'; one Peter Ubong.

The emotion-soaked Commissioner, who told Michael that it was precarious to ride bike at his age, asked him to request anything that would better his life apart from the "okada business".

"I have always wanted to own a provision shop, Sir. Please, if that would not be too much, kindly do that for me", said Michael.

However, Michael's request was upheld and that is how his dream became reality today through a man he has never met or known before.

RomanceRe: I Am Impotent & Frustrated by Ademolu2002(m): 7:53pm On Mar 19, 2017
helpforever:
I saw a post about a woman complaining that her sister married an impotent man. I smiled, the man probably knew he had an issue and still went ahead and married. I also have this issue and its really bothering me for over 5 years. Mine is complicated and I think its spiritual.

It all started in 2011 when I was 20 and was ready to have sex. I went to a popular brothel in Lagos with a friend to try it out.
Though I was very nervous because I was a virgin and my heart was beating very fast.

We actually went in and two women approached us. A young woman of about 28 and one of about 40.

I am my other virgin friend had eye on the one of about 28 cause she was very beautiful. My friend immediately held on to her. The other one of 40 now held on to me that I should carry her lets go do it. I angrily said "You be my mama mate na", she got angry and left.

Then the younger one said, if I and my friend wants, we can take turns with her.

We left for her room. I entered first and was very nervous and sluggish even in removing my cloth.

She said, "e be like say u be virgin...so na me go disvrigin" you. She started touching my di*k, but it didn't get hard.

Time started to waste and I got tired and asked her to refund my money. She started shouting that its not possible, that the fact that my dick did not rise is none of her business. I asked that my friend should use the money and attempt, she said no. that he must bring his own money.

We left the building and started the arguments outside. Other prostitutes came to her aid and started asking what was wrong. She explained to them that I tried to have sex with her and my thing did not rise and now I want my money back, they started shouting and said its not possible that we should better get out of her.

At one corner, the older woman of about 40 that I earlier rejected started giving me the "ntoor" look and was saying "You see your life"

I got very scared and left for home immediately.

I tried to watch porn to see if it will get up, I can't really remember if it did.

Long and short, I have not been able to have sex since then. I have not even had sex in my life. I have never tried to have sex with a real girl before, so I won't embarrass myself. I have never had a girlfriend. Though girls keep flocking around me, since I am doing well both academically and business wise, but I never attempt to have sex with them and they keep wondering whats wrong with me. One of the unilag girls that seduced me and I did nothing concluded that I was impotent because she feels no man in the world would have resisted her seduction since she was very hot.

I have tried to have sex 3 more times, with prostitutes, but still same thing happens. No erection

In 2012, I spent the whole year going to church everyday. Nothing happened. I have stopped now and accepted my fate.

Only my best friend knows about this, he keeps saying its not a spiritual condition but medical condition due to the fact that I started
masturbating right since I was 17.

He says I might have had the issue right before the prostitute encounter. Sometimes he says that it is a psychological condition.

But the thing is, how can a young boy of 20 then have Erectile dysfunction due to masturbation.
Many young boys masturbate and nothing happened to them.

I was sad for a while, but now it seems I have accepted my fate. This issue have made me focus on my studies and business and now, at 26. I have finished my BSC, and my MSC

Whenever I am Hot, I masturbate and I think that has worsened my issue. I have been masturbating since 2011 when this happened

Lots of order thing happens in between that confuses me. Like 2 years after the prostitute encounter, when I was in my 3rd year, one beautiful edo girl who really loved me was making out with me and flirting around me and I got a rock solid erection 100%. Very hard. Also, in 2014. A girl who liked me came to my house and she was flirting with me, though she didn't plan on having sex with me. Only the flirting alone made me hard. The erection was 70% hard. But then, those are the only occurrences.

Whenever I watch porn, I get semi erection - say about 60% hard.

Whenever I jerk my joystick, it gets hard - about 80% and within minutes, it deflates again.

Lot of different things have happened along the line which is too much to type. Long and short, I don't get erections when I wakeup again. I used to before all this issues.

Or is it the excess sugar I take, or the belly fat I have gotten due to the way I eat carelessly and spend on myself. (Since I don't have any woman to cater for) that is the cause.

Is it spiritual, medical or psychological?

Is it due to masturbation? Is it an infection?

Because I can remember in late 2012 or early 2013. When I tried to urinate, I had and felt a sharp pain.

I happened for about 2 days and stopped by itself.

I am getting older and my mother is already reminding me about marriage. I don't think I will marry until this issue is resolved. I can't
subject any woman to emotional pain.

At some point, I thought I was gay, but I am in no way attracted to men. But I am attracted to women. I tried watch transgender porn to confirm if I was gay (since I couldn't stand real gay porn). I actually got aroused and had a mild erection. But come on, transgenders are women who just have a joystick.

I have put up my issues on a foreign site (because other people who have put up their problems on nairaland gets abused, mocked, insulted and bullied) and I was advised by the whites to see a doctor and counselor. They didn't even understand what I meant by spiritual issue. But they have been very concerned and helpful

I don't need to see any counselor because my case would confuse who ever I tell.

I have been living in pains. No sex life and no real social life. I keep falling out with female friend because I don't make any move towards them.

I keep falling out with male friends, because they keep wondering "why this their guy no dey nack woman like them". They feel I am weird because they 100% know I am not gay and wonder why a normal guy will be avoiding women like this.

I hope my issue is resolved.

But if its not, I would live the rest of my life like this. Probably keep on masturbating and never get married.

It might actually be my excessive masturbation that might be the cause of this. I don't really know. Only God knows.

I am depressed. But suicide is not an option for me. God forbid.
Well! Whether the problem is medical, spiritual or what have you, all i know is that there's no problem that God cannot solve. Where exactly are you? If you happen to be close to PH, i would love to introduce you to the church i worship in PH. Countless of this type of problem have been solved there. This is a church where nobody collects any money from you. The man of God will just pray for you and the problem will be over by the grace of God. I can give you his contact if you love to have it. Reach me on my whatsapp no: 08155170658. My name is Augustine Adekunle Eegunjobi, verify me on fb and if i have anything hidden on this, let the wrath and calamity of God fall on me.

[quote author=she234 post=54507616]Hello everyone, I started working in 2013 after completing the compulsory NYSC. I finished with a 2.2 although narrowly missed out on 2.1.

I got a job in a funny industry (logistics and supply chain). I thought the industry was funny because I had hoped to start working in oil and gas and earning good six digits from the first day, lol.
I picked the job earning 5 digits as a contract staff and started learning the rudiments of logistics. Although there were times the salary was very discouraging, I stayed on the job because I wanted to build my experience. I remained a contract staff for over a year but gained good experience. Although I was offered permanent employment with improved pay, I wasn't satisfied because I knew deep down in my heart that I deserved more. I Was very loyal to my bosses and kept fighting on my knees and got some cool certifications.

My job came by referral, A foreigner that has worked with me before headhunted me, I didn't need to undergo any form of interview. My interview was just a chat, briefing me about the new role and the profile of the company I was to join. My new salary is more than 3 times what I earned in the previous company with other mouth-watering benefits attached.

I kept praying for a ''miracle job'' the whole time and also told God I didn't care how he would do it. I got disappointed many times after going for interviews with my experience and wasn't called back/got regret mails. I didn't know God was preparing mine to be a complete miracle.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post and I sincerely hope my story can inspire someone. Ha

Congrats

Well, this happens. Still there are some for 26 and 27 year olds. Take advantage of those.

Ehen! This part, you did Use Of English in Uni na despite the fact that you were an Engineering student. Antonyms and Synonyms is something we've been doing since primary school. Don't make it look like Nigerian graduates don't know opposites and nearest/similar in meaning.

When you start working, you'll communicate in English therefore I think the test of English is in order. Engine guys have no complain at all cheesy.

[quote author=press005 post=54371054]It can be frustrating at tyms as regards to online job applications.

They make you send ur CV bt also mandates you to fill some boxes .After about 30mins, you will realize you have repeated all the details on your CV.

A job that is meant for graduate trainees will still be asking you of 3-5yrs experience.

After spending 6 or 7yrs in school plus ASUU strike, some job adverts will require you not to be above 25yrs and must have completed your Nysc.

The one that baffles me the most is that a firm that advertised for an engineering graduate trainee position will invite candidates for a Job test and the next thing, they will give you a CBT on Antonyms and Synonyms as if say na English Language you study for school.

Anyhw sha, no matter what guys, dnt be discour
