The legal route might be tough but if you stick to it, it pays on the long run. The rough road push so many to the illegal side of things like pushing drugs, robbery, fraud, organ trafficking etc. Please Stick to your vision for a better life. Don't come back until you've made your mark.

Seek professional counseling opportunities offered by churches and some other organizations.

Network, Mix with your peers that is, Nigerians who have made headway to show you the ropes.

Try and connect any family member, distant relative, friends, course mates or alumnus from the school you graduated from. You might gain one or two insight and support from them. At least even if help ain't coming as expected due to their personal responsibilities to themselves and their families, you will still have some shoulders to cry on and some people to cheer you on. They will be sources of inspiration and intimidation, which in anyway will push you to try harder and better.

Put your ears to the ground. People even hire protesters and pay them. Just be careful not to get into trouble and risk deportation.

Offer cheaper freelancing services like babysitting, doing academic assignments, report writing, researching, mowing of lawns, etc.

Just face it, be dogged, be rugged.

As I am, if I have just 5 to 10Million Naira, I go jagaaani not just japa. Everyone advising you to come back is attempting to make mockery of you. emigration might be quite challenging. Don't allow the atmosphere reject you.

If you are seeing this, My prayer for you is that from today, doors shall open for you. Opportunities shall come calling your way and you shall be fortunate to maximize them. May God help you and your family. Keep calm, God is on your case. We have prayed. Believe. Amen

Before you nail him, go and ask how much Buhari spent. Do you know the cost of parking an aircraft in an international airport for one night abroad? As if he used the money to eat?
Won't his entourage be paid their allowances? Logistics, accomodations, security, etc.

Isokotolopia:
I like his push for CNG revolution, removing the forex access for imports of those 43 items on the list. I think these are good steps from a layman perspective.

But spending an alleged #422,000,000 In just 7 days in NY for UNGA shows insincerity in his much touted cutting cost of governance.

Instead of Atiku, let MC Oluomo rule Nigeria.

This current CBN is doing the right thing. They are not confused but the previous leadership played politics with importation ban and forex access restrictions. You intend to boost local production by placing embargo on trade? Who does that? Inorder to enrich the rice and tomatoes mafia of the North, in cohorts with customs, you close all southwest borders
where rice and tomatoes are imported from Benin republic while all northern borders were opened. May God descend with fury upon all the power brokers of Buhari's most nepotistic rule in Nigeria. The Untold hardship in Nigeria is manmade. A carefully orchestrated manmade turmoil.

I pray God give Tinubu the wisdom to handle the northern political bottlenecks without compromising the wellbeing of all Nigerians and our children yet unborn.

Saintinoo:
CBN released a note explaining why it removed dollar restrictions on 43 items in the economy, as part of the explanation they stated that the policy will benefit LOCAL PRODUCTION.

I have been thinking for many days now, how does lifting dollar restrictions on imported commodities benefit local production and aid employment according to CBN.

Don't you all see that we are been led by confused people?

I ask dear nairalanders, how does removing dollar restrictions on those items benefit local production and aid employment.
Politics / Re: Justice Okoro To Head Supreme Court Panel On Presidential Election Petition by AdeolaOmoOba(m): 7:27am On Oct 16, 2023
This is a highly biased reporting.

Ofunaofu:

Justice John Inyang Okoro has been nominated to coordinate the Supreme Court panel that will oversee the presidential election petition filed by the candidates of Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Gregory Obi, and the People Democratic Party PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, respectively.

News Band gathered that Justice Okoro is currently coordinating other Justices of the Supreme Court out of the total of eleven Justices currently serving in the apex court.

An insider, however, revealed to this medium that there is heavy arm-twisting among the Justices as the majority are insisting on following the electoral act and the federal constitution governing elections in the country devoid of technicalities.

In the meantime, it was learnt that the Chief Judge of the Federation, Chief Justice Olukayode Ariwoola and Justice Kekere-Ekun have both recused themselves to avoid conflict of interest.

Justice Ariwoola, this medium was informed, recused himself over his longstanding relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is one of the Respondents in the petitions.

On her part, Justice Kekere-Ekun recused herself over her relationship with Alhaji Abubakar through her husband who is a serving board member of American University of Nigeria, Yola, owned by the PDP flag bearer.

Justice Okoro, it was gathered, is faced with an uphill task of securing a unanimous judgement from the seven justices required by Law to be on the panel.

Another source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, meanwhile revealed that the “arm-twisting” involves the Department of State Security (DSS) and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Yusuf Fagbemi.

Fagbemi, the source said, is the middle man between the camp of the presidency and the Supreme Court led by Justice Inyang Okoro.

It is left to be seen whether the Justices of the Supreme Court will uphold the electoral act and the constitution or whether they will rely on technicalities like the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC).

According to information gleaned from the apex court website, currently, there are eleven Justices.

With the recusal of both Chief Justices Ariwoola and Kekere-Ekun due to conflicts of interest, only nine remain from which seven will be selected.

According to the source, the three Justices are under heavy pressure to either unflinchingly adhere to the constitution without compromise, which will be a blow to the camp of Tinubu, or play along as the judges of PEPC were accused of.

Dey play, just dey play

While you waste your time on irrelevances, precious or not, Mr. President keeps globetrotting and enjoying life.

Why didn't you force Buhari to produce his WAEC certificate?

Bitterness can never allow Nigeria settle. The hatred that have been generated among young people of different ethnic extractions these recent times, is more than enough to make them lifetime enemies.

They keep using divide and rule method for you and you keep falling 10/10. There is no politician who cares for you. Peter Obi inclusive. When anyone gets hold of power, it is for themselves, their families, friends, cronies and lobbyists. Be wise

If you want peace and love your future, pray one of these two prayers, that the military take over peacefully or for Nigeria to divide peacefully. Anything asides these two are self deception because a politician will only be able to serve the masses to the extent to which he can play power politics with the elites and national slavers.

As tactical as Tinubu is in the world of power politics, you can see how easy the subsidy eating hippopotamuses have made the oil-reliant economy comfortable for him and the masses. Do you know the cabal behind oil money? Do you know there is a cabal behind electricity and its instability? Do you know there is a cabal behind importation? Do you know there is a cabal behind Rice? Do you know there is a cabal behind cement? Do you know there is a cabal behind solid minerals? Do you know there is a cabal behind sugar? Do you know there is a cabal behind cows? Do you know there is a cabal behind rising Naira to dollar value/bureau de change?

How many of these people can an executive president fight successfully when they are all littered within his cabinet, the House of representatives, senate and judiciary?

They can only try their best but please keep doing armschair criticism and don't face your own Life sogbo!

For the mere fact that Tinubu is assisting Atiku to judiciously spend his money on lawyers and international lawsuits doesn't mean he didn't attend CSU. He is just showing him pepper since he wishes to spend money. Personally, I changed my notion about his attendance of CSU when I got a hard evidence myself and saw it for myself. However, if you say Tinubu was a former drug pusher, even if he denies it a hundred times, he is just being smart with lies coz the evidence is overwhelming. As a fact, being a former drug baron is no big deal in the world of Nigerian politics. Many sitting governors were. Many dead and living senators were. Many cabinet members were. It's not a big deal. It was the way they hustled in their time. It's not as if it is a thing of the past. Most of igbo billionaires are active drug lords. Several Yoruba and Hausa big men are. No one have been successful in drug business like the ibos.

What we need is the way forward for Nigeria and not childish propaganda.

By the way, before you assume that I am an APC or PDP agent. Before man and God, I am a card-carrying LP member, but when I saw that the true agenda of Peter Obi is not what it seems, as evident by some of his actions, glaring ethnic bias and unchecked behaviors of unruly obidients. I tore the membership card about 3 Weeks ago. If it has not been incinerated, I will make sure I snap the torn membership card and attach to this comment.

Abeg na when this propaganda go stop. Nairaland don turn propaganda machine due to lack of censorship

Penguin2:
Tinubu knows why he was fighting teeth and nail to prevent the release of documents by CSU because of the can of worms it would open and the questions that would arise therefrom which has started happening already.

Now new documents are showing that Tinubu did not graduate from Chicago State University as claimed. An indication that the institution are in for some big trouble in the coming months.
