Jobs/VacanciesRe: What's Selling About This Cover Letter? by adepiero: 4:42pm On Oct 13, 2014
A cover letter is meant to persuade the company to call you for interview. you won't get a flash if you use that nonsense your friend sent to you! You don't impose things on your potential employer instead you make them see reasons why you are a suitable candidate and should be offered a chance to prove yourself.

wat if u went for an oil and gas coy interview, u red economice while ur fellow interviewers red engineering? Hw do you make dem to tink ur qualification is better dan theirs.. Just askin
Funny enough I was at an oil and gas interview on Friday for an administrative job. I read computer science and I was being asked questions based on admin and oil&gas I just related the admin questions to database functions and administrator but I confessed about my ignorance when it got to oil&gas. I guess its just the idea and mode of interpretation of questions being asked that matters! BETTER TO "MERRY GO ROUND" THAN KEEP MUTE!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why Do You Want Us To Employ You? Interview Question by adepiero: 4:03pm On Oct 13, 2014
What you should say - This is not only a fine opportunity, but this company is a place where my qualifications can make a difference. I see this position as made to order. It contains the challenge to keep me on my toes. That's the kind of job I like to anticipate every morning. grin

What you should never say - I really don't want the job but my parents are pressuring me to get any job so that I will not be a leech on them and to move out on my own. I'm only 41 - for real, they think I'm a kid! tongue

RomanceCommon Kissing Mistakes by adepiero(op):
A single kiss can be surprisingly revealing. Maybe it makes you go weak in the knees, and at worst, can make you feel rejected. If it is a first kiss could even determine if you are going on another date with that person.

A kiss signifies different things to males and females, for females, its like a medal she gives to a guy for successfully winning her heart, other females see it as a "yes signal" for a guy to make love to them but to the guys its just a step further to know if you are on the right track to the underground chamber.

I've been able to compile some kissing mistakes and I hope my post will help to correct them. Enjoy...

Too Much Wetness
Don’t mistake being passionate with being sloppy. Whenever you’re kissing someone, you don’t want your lips, tongue or saliva being all over the place. There is nothing worse than going in for a kiss only to end up with messy, wet kisses all over your mouth and face.

Bad Breathe / Body Odour
No offense, but some of you just aren’t clean enough. Pre-date hygiene is important! And standing in the shower for 30 minutes is a futile effort, unless you’re actually going to suds your entire body up. And, if you want to kiss, make sure your mouth is clean. Some of you just brush your teeth and think that’s enough. Floss, for God’s sake! Brush your tongue! And don’t forget to clean the rest of you, while you’re at it! Drink plenty of water and stay away from stuff like onions, garlic, cigarettes and alcohol when you know you’ll be making out.

Grabbing / Back scratching
It’s weird to not touch or explore each other while kissing, but you don’t want to like pull your partner’s hair out or hurt their neck or anything. And for the ladies, scratching should be avoided! your partner won't be happy feeling pains after kissing you.

Tongue Factor (Male Dominated)
Your tongue stays as stiff and rigid as the chairman in your boxers. As she attempts to weave her tongue slowly and rhythmically like a normal human being, your mouth boner simply pokes at her tonsils and stiffly wiggles from side to side as if searching for lost keys. The tongue is one huge muscle. You won’t impress a soul by flexing your tongue into someone else’s mouth.

Going Too Fast
Always kiss naturally and at a slow pace while building a mood. Every seduction comes in different level. Always be aware with her response. Slow down if you feel that she is trying to oppose you, she may be scared. Soft and gentle kiss are often appreciated compared to a kiss like being attack by an animal or something bad.

Grandma Kiss / Dead kiss
A good kiss involves your whole body, not just your
mouth. Allow your body to respond to the kiss and let it melt into theirs. If you have your date reaching for the ChapStick(lip gloss/lipstick) and wondering if there was indeed a kiss, get back in there with a little more enthusiasm. A closed mouth and tiny pecks have never in the history of kissing rocked anyone’s world. Kiss like you mean it. engage your entire mouth, not just tightly pursed lips.

Conclusion
Kissing can really make or break you as a lover. It is the first real intimate contact you have with your partner, and the way you kiss can alter his/her feelings for you completely. If you’re too aggressive, too sloppy, or just too much, you could end up killing whatever attraction he/she had for you to begin with. However, kiss him/her just right, and he/she will be putty in your hands. What makes a kiss spectacular really depends on the couple, but here are some do’s and don’ts that i think are pretty universal.

Jennydoris:
If you can get a handle on the things on this list, I guarantee
you'll notice your relationship drastically change for the
better.

Here you go:

1. Flipping out if he looks at or talks to another woman. It's a
man's nature to look, getting on his case shows you're
insecure, which is a huge turn-off. If you find yourself
getting jealous whenever a woman is within his vicinity, you
need to do an honest check in with yourself. At the root of it,
there is either trust missing from the relationship or you need
to build up your self-esteem.

2. Not respecting his personal space. If he's in a bad mood or
doesn't feel like talking, leave him alone and let it be. Most
guys don't like to talk about their issues the way women do.
They prefer to pull back and work things out internally.

3. Not taking care of yourself or letting yourself go. It really
is a shame to see how many women think it's okay to stop
working out and shaving their legs as soon as they're in a
relationship. If anything, you should feel more motivated to
make the effort once things are more settled to keep the
attraction alive and sexual energy buzzing.

4. Not having your own life. Don't be one of those girls who
forgets her friends and her interests as soon as she has a
man, it never ends well.

5. Being passive aggressive. Men are much more
straightforward than women, if you tell him nothing's wrong
and then pout and mope around waiting for him to press you
further, you'll just cause anger and resentment to build. Be
honest and straightforward with him if you have an issue.

6. Nagging. No guy is perfect, no man is capable of giving
you every single thing you need. There will be times when
you're not happy with something he's doing. If this happen,
do not nag him over it. The best strategy is to tell him what it
is you want (I love it when you do X) instead of harping on
what you don't want (Why don't you ever do Y?)

7. Not appreciating him. Again, stop looking at the things he
isn't doing and look at what he is doing, and then
acknowledge and appreciate him for it! The more you show
you appreciate him, the more he'll try to please you.

8. Being bitter/whiny/grouchy. We all have bad days, it's
understandable. However, it's in your best interest to try and
be happy and positive. No one wants to hang around with a
negative Nancy. In general, we're drawn to people who are
happy and radiate a positive energy.

Wake up with a smile, express gratitude, see the good in your
life and in your relationship. This will not only help you in
your relationships, but it will make your life better overall.

9. Dumping your insecurities onto him. It's not his fault if
you feel fat or your skin is breaking out or you found a tiny
wrinkle by your mouth, these are your issues and hang ups
so don't turn them into relationship problems.

If he's with you, it's a given that he finds you attractive. Don't
talk him out of his attraction by highlighting all your flaws.
Chances are he won't even notice these things until you point
them out, so why draw attention to them? Men are attracted to
confident women so not only will you be making him a ware
of your flaws, you'll be diminishing his overall attraction to
you.

10. Trying to change him. When you get into a relationship,
you need to take that person for exactly who he is, not who
you want him to be. He is who he is, take it or leave it.

When it comes to minor things, like the fact that he wears
running shoes with dress pants, be gentle and encouraging.
Don't criticise and make him feel stupid. Say something that
makes him feel good and inspires him to make that change
on his own, for instance "You look really sexy in that outfit
but it would be even sexier with those loafers instead."

Lots Of Love.

RomanceRe: Reasons Why You Should Date A Shy And Introvert Guy. by adepiero: 9:06pm On Oct 12, 2014
shy guys will go 15rounds on you and still pretend like its their first time.

Shy guys hide the Monster in them behind a smile but if pushed to their very limit, they unleash the dragon.

Shy guys are chameleons, hiding their true nature in other to blend in and once the girl lowers her guard! they take advantage.

shy guys are bad boys that won't to show off and they tend to be perfect at keeping multiple partners without either of them suspecting.

I can go on and on for this topic because I am a critical example. so if you are fantasizing about a shy guy! better refresh your memory. Its better you date a guy that opens up and you know the kind of person he is from the start than a guy who hides his identity just to get on your good side.

that a topic made front page doesn't necessarily make it superb, neither does it make it more educative than other topics in the section-library.
threads are opened for visitors to read, learn, share ideas and opinions, debate or argue. it doesn't matter if it makes front page or not.
how does a topic reach a wider audience if not through the front page? my opinion is not basically about reaching front page but the topics that make it there are only Christianity related topics! how do you thinks the Muslims feel when they post good right ups and it doesn't attract the right audience. everybody has a right to be heard and front page provides that but unfortunately non Christianity post don't make it there.

I know because this topic has to do with the mods, it might not get anywhere but sincerely, am tired of topics about pastor embezzlement of church funds, sleeping with members, rituals in churches and other atrocities all in the name of worship and the mods take it has hot topics that deserve front page view whereas meaningful topics are left behind.

Christianity EtcMods On Religion Section Are Biased by adepiero(op): 12:36pm On Oct 12, 2014
Good day fellow nairalanders. I have studied topics from this section that make it to the front page and I found out that they are all Christian topics.

I am not biased in terms of religion and have nothing against my Christian friends but the truth needs to be told and the mods need to work on their lapses.

Topics from this section are very sensitive and if read/written wrongly could interpret a wrong message to the readers. Religious war, should be avoided at all cost and posting topics of one religion and exempting the others is very bad and should be avoided as well.

Because of this one sided domination, other religion writers feel their views are not properly aired so they stop posting to this section and accept that its a one sided religion section due to less concern shown by the mods to push their meaningful thoughts to the front page.

I believe that finding/seeking knowledge about our religion should be our ought most goal and it helps us to be better ambassadors of our religion. but this can't be achieved if there is just one religion topic being pushed to the front page.

My advice to other religion writers (Muslims, Traditional, etc) please keep up with meaningful and educational topics and I know soon, the topics would definitely breakthrough to Front page and inspire millions of nairalanders.
