@ pito
we were able to hit green on the tp 12226, but it wasn't stable. we got badr and the orbit showtime network on eurobird1@25.5 but we finally settled for nilesat where showsport was 56% around 2pm.the lnb is premium2(quad)
@adewest
a **** opens the osn bouquet on 7'w but couldn't open the osn on 25.5E. what could be the problem
@arsenal1
The subject in question have no merge network they operate on different Id. CAID:0604 for 7 deg w, caid 0601 for both 7w and 25.5e just for your info ONLY.

@adewest,
That lnb looks promising but I remember in season 2 we discussed extensively on the disadvantages of using combined c/ku lnbs and concluded that they are not as effective as single. Are you now saying this is an improvement version or what? If yes, then I think I will like to try it on my motorised and see the difference.
The LNB belong to the brands of high gain prolific super LNB that has stand the trier of time. This is the world of high tech and as the world go round things changes dynamically  at a fast pace, so don't be left behind to those ancient story of our grand father.
    It is a easy to install type even my 10yrs old son can setup a nilesat in no time with it, in that proximity in determining where to  level the cutting associated with other ku lnb is count out.This mean the ku is of the primed focus type just like your normal FUJI lnb i.e no modification must be effected on the LNB after purchase. Also it is fitted with an inbuilt disecq. While tracking with other multiple band config takes more of your precious time to installed, this one takes a very short time for fact that both the ku and c band will fall at the prime orbital point (epicenter) of the dish thereby resulting in a very high signal gain on both band. For the tracking, just keep focuses only on the KU angle alignment the c-band will automatically line-up. How ever, additional c-band for either dial or non dial mode could as well be added if you are well informed.

@ George_D,

This is two in one LNBF, ku and c-band. It saves you a lot stresses with a very high performance.

Happy new yr 2010 to al the great minds on this wonderful and informative forum. @ Oga Badaru, confirmed those channels are curently scrambled. it is encripted with viacces, irdeto, and skyscript, all at the same time am sure we will always find a way around this things.
A token of abracadabra card works perfectly ok for all jsc+1 - +8 regardless of d satellite where the signal is  been down link from.

So what are u waiting for, update your box with ali-c dvb and motorize set-up for maximum goalismo on +5+6+7+8 and if you are located around Ibadan,ijebu, Northward and NE. Your 1.8m could still serve for jsc spt 1 & 2, incl +1- +4 on Nilesat.

although after much skewing the LNB is not aligned with the scalar because i loosened the nut holding it to get allowance to rotate
@ Microgiant,
While using the default polarity on the receiver in used, your LNB skew is in the wrong position. If the lnb am seeing in the pic is the STRONG or Pauxis made skew it a little anti clock wise direction as directed by George d to the angle of 2 o'clock and GBAM you will surely hit green.

ola my jsc signal on hotbird is 48-50% anytime from 7.pm and above till early morning like 8am.at noon their will be no signal at all.on echolink receiver the signal is ok at least no weak signal recorded even at (21-28%) on echolink. skysports,sky calcio,novasports and other channels signal very much ok.

pito am still waiting for you .
@ Obnelly,
Is that 2.4m dish motorise or fixed (ground mount) ? if motorise, it should b able to receive hotbird jsc tp upto 54-56% at peak and for badr signal, it will of no use to track that bird even with 3 meter within Lagos and environs. kiss

@All,
Thank God that Nilesat management are beginning to respond to our
demand and suggestion as signal strength of the nile is beginning to
increase it's beaming towards Nigeria.It is interesting that those TPs
ie 11317V,11355V,11374H,11411H with all sym rate 27500 and 11334H-sym
rate-27485 of the showtime/orbit on Atlantic bird 4A is now receivable
in Bauchi with minimum of solid 2.4m surface. Though some down-time
could still be monitored at around 1130pm and peak period is within
8:30 PM with signal strength ranging btw 56-50% on various transponder
using 4663X receiver.Hoping that jsc sport +5+6+7+8 on freq 12456V - sr
27500 Nilesat will also do some beaming favor to Nigeria as same
(12456V) could not be receive within many Northern region exception of
Maiduguri (Borno state) capturing the most wanted transponder with a
token of 1.8m surface but still, some master key transponder required
for infinity card sharing server connection is not also avail there in
M/guri i.e 12341v MBC persia and 10930H ESPN even with 2.4m, where as
Bauchi can-receive 10930H with a token of 1.8m strong enough to
withstand rain fading, is that not funny.

@ Dejsam and all,
Reference my post above,please verify the intensity of the signal
within your region and keep the house posted.

@ Olofofo,
That sharing box works perfectly ok in Lagos ooo. It will
only demand an extra cost because of one idle dish some where.

@adewest,
I'm still waiting for your suggestions on the best way to go about that
three in one lnb holder for my COMSTAR dish. The present arrangement
of tying them with wires is not looking professional at all.
Check page 144 for the picture.

Just a reminder.
@ George_D,
i guess is something u can figure out on your own otherwise just take careful look at the way those 2c-band were siting on that scaller (LNB HOLDER).Get same copy of the scaller and buy a clip seize of 60-65mm,position the scaller on the ground and paste the clip on the scaller then use a pencil to mark out the way the C- LNB are suppose to be sitting on the scaller. On marking, get a hack saw and cut out the mark part,please note that this mark parts represent the position where the LNB is to b placed. You will now need a welding machine or gas welding depending on the metallic element the of d scaller, gently tag this clips within this cut part and you good to go my brother.You can always raise me for any further inquiries. All the best

FM UR PICTURE ON PAGE 144,THAT MAST IS ABOUT A 100 METERS AWAY FM YOUR DISH,AM OF THE OPTIMISTIC THAT SOMETHING ELSE DIFFERENT FROM UR THINKING IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE WACKO JACKO LIKE HI-TENSION ELECTRICITY MAY BE OOOOO.

Could you state you location/ town and possibly the channels on that sirius including the type of dish in use. With this ur question can easily be tackle.

@adewest

once motorized, someone says  the 4m dish might not be able to receive showsport again because of the movement of the dish.
[/quote

@ Olofofo,
In the making of gigantic fiber dish like 4m and above,once all the frame work is properly welded very very firmly before the final fabrication and using the right pole mount ranging from 4 inches pipes and above, for it might interest you to know that the bigger the pipe the better the sitting of giant-dish with ability of withstanding the cross wind be it enormous or minor that could alter the actual elevation of the reflecting dish. Once this is achieved, reception is well guarantee on the  motorize setup. If motorizing a 4m dish baffles you how will 7m sounds to you in motorizing.

George_D:
@adewest,
You mean I should change it to 10 o'clock position and reverse V to H?
The strong c band I used to replace the supermax is positioned at the
10 o'clock but the dielectric position is same like for the supermax.
@ George_D.

Invert the insertion of ur dielectric in such a way that the dielectric will no longer be parallel to electronic module of the the c-band, ie the electronic module forming a cross-t above the inserted dielectric. By so doing,the whole polarity within the bandwidth of such LNB is inverted from H-V or V-H and vice-versal on the receiver wink
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by adewest(m): 3:53pm On Sep 06, 2009
somebody said it might be impossible to get showsport afterwards. what do you think

@ Olofofo,

i don't get it. You mean with 4m dish or what ?
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by adewest(m): 2:45pm On Sep 05, 2009
@ olofofo,
Oga how well did u go with the installation ?

@ Geoge d.
your condemn supermax c-band can still do better by simlply reversing the polarity of the bandwith on your box and repositioning the dielectric the other way round.
