Higher institutions like LAUTECH have non-academic staff and also a lot of research on-going, therefore even when normal lecturing gets suspended, other activities still happen. It is like ur mobile phone, you close all the apps, but you still have important background activies still running.

Public Holiday by the Federal Government to mark
the Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year
celebrations respectively.
The University will, therefore, not be opened to
normal business on those dates.

tell me how much LASU,KWASU,OSU pays. state universities are mostly run on IGR because you can't trust your state govt and in the case of lautech you have Osun state; known for its emptiness and lack of ideas to diversify or generate income for itself.

LASU is paying 25k...and it's the cheapest state university in Nigeria.. .kwasu is paying 200k for non indigene and its just because kwasu is a new school in which you can't compare with LAUTECH.... Don't know that of OSU tho'

Please tell me , the 65k we are paying self, we pay it twice, most parents of students of lautech are civil servant of osun and oyo state, please tell me iss it with the haff or no salary they are getting, they will still pay their children school fees? That 65k sef, some are struggling to pay, and you people are still planning to increase it, either 80k, 150k or 350k, just want you people to know that all hands are not equal, and not everybody can afford such amount, if they think increasing the school fees is the best solution to the problem LAUTECH is facing they are completely wrong, 'cos they will rather loose many students, 'cos i believe many students which are fresher or 100l or even 200l might decide to write another jamb and choose another school in which i'm one of them, if at all they increase the school fees, and again less people will choose them in jamb....anyway this my thought tho'.....just #ReOpenLautechWithoutIncreasingOurSchoolFees

It was announce by the jamb officials that jamb registration is going to commence on the 20th of December, 2016, and it is and ends up on the 9th of February, 2017.and meanwhile the website for registration closes on Friday, the 9th of February, 2017.

All should note that irrespective of their choice of course of study or method of testing, they will also be tested on a general book. The name of the general book is; “The Last Days at Forcados High School.” by A. H. Mohammed.

When we are denied rights to education,
Are we denied rights to stage a peaceful
protest too?


This was the case few mins ago as men
of the NPF shot cans of tear gas at
Students of LAUTECH who were staging a
Peaceful protest on Dec. 9, 2016 against
the 6 Months Strike which the school has
embarked on since June 9,2016.


The ugly
event which occurred at General area of
Ogbomoso was recorded live on
Facebook by a Facebook user.



The students blocked the road linking
Oyo to Ilorin through Ogbomoso just to

As announced by JAMB earlier this year, 2016 admission processes are expected to come to an end by November 30th, 2016.


Will institutions comply with this deadline? That's what we will soon find out.

We have observed in previous years that schools usually do not comply with these deadlines as many of them still continue releasing admission lists even after the deadline given by JAMB has elapsed.

If it were to be in previous years, we would have easily concluded that the deadline will not stand but since we now have a new JAMB Boss, we just can't say for sure how it will all turn out For many candidates who have not been offered admission this year, they would wish that the deadline be extended in the hopes that one way or the other they may still be considered for admission.


However, JAMB some time last week announced that it has received a go ahead to reduce the cut of marks of institutions that have exhausted their list of candidates with 180 and above but still have not admitted up to their allocated quota. This is to enable such institutions admit more candidates and meet their admission quota.


If this is to be implemented, it simply means that such institutions will be given more time to do that and that will possibly mean extension of the deadline. But again we cannot really say for sure. So for all candidates yet to be admitted, all hope is totally not lost yet as something favourable may still come ...



For those already thinking of purchasing next year's JAMB form, just hold on. The form is not out yet. We believe JAMB is waiting to get done with this year's admission processes first before announcing 2017 UTME This will save candidates from purchasing next year's JAMB form only to find out they have been admitted like it use to be in previous years.



Regardless, anytime JAMB decides to commence sales of next year's UTME form, be rest assured we will bring the notice and details to you first- hand.
