disclosed that only 3,000 candidates out of the over
29,000 who scored 200 and above in the Unified
Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and
chose the university as their choice will gain
admission n to the University this year.


He disclosed while speaking on the topic,
“Challenges of Building a World Class University”
at the 68th Interdisciplinary Research Discourse of
the Postgraduate school.


He lamented that poor funding, infrastructure
deficit, student-lecturer ratio and limitation of
Hostel accommodation would not allow the
University go beyond its present carrying
capacity.


He called on the Nigerian Government to adequately
fund universities and fix the infrastructural
deficits if it wants her universities to be globally
competitive.

An Olympic medal is worth glory and fame , just not very much cash . The 500-gram gold medals earned by Usain Bolt , Michael Phelps and Simone Biles are nearly 99 percent recycled silver. They contain just 1 . 2 percent gold , mostly used as plating , Daily Mail reports.

2. Condoms can be lethal: Condom usage has skyrocketed since the awareness of HIV/AIDS. Latex condoms are the most popular, but some people are allergic to latex. In severe cases anaphylactic shock occurs and is fatal without immediate medical attention. If you’ve experienced a reaction to latex gloves stay away from latex condoms. If you’re not sure about your risk, get tested by a doctor. For those who are allergic there are alternatives.


3. Sex drugs: [/b]Viagra and similar drugs have also been found to increase the chance of catching a sudden heart attack during s ex. Viagra use has been linked to sudden cardiovascular death during s exual activity among men.



4[b]. S ex during pregnancy is safe but with few exceptions: Concerns about hurting mother or baby during s ex are often unwarranted. A healthy pregnant woman can have s ex right up to delivery. However, avoid inserting anything into the va gina as this can cause injuries or infections dangerous to both mother and baby. If you have a cervical prolapse or leak amniotic fluid, you should avoid s ex. Blowing into the va gina is also dangerous. It can force an air bubble into the expectant mother’s bloodstream. If the bubble reaches the heart it can cut off blood flow to the lungs, causing death.



5. Sexually transmitted diseases reduce life expectancy: The most common way to contract a s exually transmitted infection (STI) is through unprotected s ex. These diseases include genital herpes, hepatitis B, chlamydia, syphilis, gonorrhea, and HIV/AIDS.

A 48-year-old for EPL player has died after 90 minutes after he was hit by a Taser (stun gun) by police in the Trench area of Telford, Shropshire, at around 1.30am on Monday.



A man who died after he was shot by police with a Taser gun has been named locally as ex-Aston Villa footballer Dalian Atkinson, according to the Press Association.


Officers were called to a home in Meadow Close, Telford, Shrophire in the early hours of this morning amid concerns "for the safety of an individual".

West Mercia Police said the 48-year-old man was given medical treatment after being tasered but died around 90 minutes later.

An ambulance spokesman said while he was being taken to Princess Royal Hospital his condition deteriorated and he suffered a cardiac arrest. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the medical facility.

The incident has now been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).

Police said in a statement: "West Mercia Police can confirm that officers responded to a report for the concern for the safety of an individual at approximately 1.30am this morning at an address in Telford.

"Upon arrival Taser was deployed and a 48- year-old man, who subsequently received medical attention, was pronounced dead at approximately 3am.

"West Mercia Police are unable to comment any further as the incident has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) as is normal procedure, and will assist the IPCC with their inquiries." A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called by West Mercia Police to an address in Meadow Close in the Trench area of Telford at about 1.45am this morning.

"An ambulance was dispatched and upon arrival found a man who had been Tasered. As he was being conveyed to Princess Royal Hospital, his condition deteriorated and he went into cardiac arrest. "Despite the efforts of the crew and hospital staff, it was not possible to save him and he was confirmed dead at hospital, shortly after arrival."



The police use of Tasers rose slightly towards the end of 2015 with 10,329 uses by forces in England and Wales – a two per cent increase compared with 2015.

9. There’s never any celebration of special occasions in your relationship
Because he’d rather be caught dead than pose for pictures with you. If he won’t even tell you when his birthday is, perhaps it’s time you moved on to someone who will willingly erect a billboard on the freeway proclaiming his love for you.



10. His ring finger is two-toned
If you meet him in a nightclub setting for instance, it’ll be difficult to see that untanned ring on his finger where his wedding band usually sits. But if you’re fortunate enough to meet him in broad daylight, stretch out your hand to indicate how pleased you are to meet him, then grab this chance to look for any evidence of a ring tan mark. Doing this before you look at his shoes or belt, to check if he’s your type, will save you from heartbreak down the line.



11. He never answers certain calls in front of you.
He doesn’t know you well enough to ascertain whether or not you have psychotic tendencies, so he’ll never risk losing his family by speaking to his wife in front of you.
