SportsTop 15 Most Expensive Player Transfers In Football History (photos & Details) by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 11:49am On Aug 10, 2016
With Paul Pogba returning to Manchester United for a whooping sum, we take a look at the most expensive transfers in football history.

Paul Pogba has surpassed the £85m deal that saw Gareth Bale move from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid in 2013.

He re-joined Manchester United – which he left for Juventus in 2012 – after signing a world record five-year contract valued at £89m at the Old Trafford.

It’s the first time an English club will set a world record transfer fee, after Newcastle United paid £15m to sign Alan Shearer from Blackburn Rovers in 1996.

Here are the top 15 most expensive player transfers in football history:-

PhonesFinally !! The Totally Redesigned Facebook Reaction Button Is Here (photos) by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 9:14am On Aug 10, 2016
Facebook decided to focus on the sentiments
its users expressed most often. Zhuo and the
team began by analyzing how a subset of
Facebook users from around the world used
the platform. They looked at the
most frequently used stickers, emoji, and one-
word comments and found a few common
emotional threads amidst an ocean of diverse
sentiments. “When we built the stickers for
Facebook the most common thing people sent
was love,” Keltner says. People used
the hearts-in-the-eyes emoji more than any
other. They were also prone to expressing
humor, sadness, and shock through visual
means. The team took a subset of reactions
that cut across the emotional spectrum and
removed redundancies like sympathy and
sadness, and joy and love. Then they tested
them with users.

Facebook’s Reactions bear a close resemblance
to several established Unicode characters,
with some minor tweaks here and there. The
team attempted to exploit the subtle visual
cues that differentiate facial-based emoji
through a variety of stylistic choices. In early
tests, the design team heightened the color
saturation and bolded the outlines. They made
eyes more pronounced or used unorthodox
forms altogether, replacing circular faces with
stars. Finally, they arrived at a major insight:
In order to reflect a reaction, their emoji
actually needed to react.

EducationIf You Study These Courses In Any Of These Universities,You Are On Your Own-NUC by ADEWUMIMichael(op):
– List of courses that have not been accredited in
Nigerian universities have been released

– A certificate issued for those courses will be
considered void

– The university of Abuja has the highest number
of unaccredited courses

The National Universities Commission (NUC)
has released a list of some courses that have not
been accredited.

The unaccredited courses pose serious danger
to students who study them as the certificates
issued by these universities for the courses
will not be officially recognised.

Premium Times reports that 2016 accreditation
status report indicated that these unaccredited
courses were taught in 37 out of 143
universities in the country..

..

The Quality Assurance Department of the NUC
is in charge of accrediting courses in the
universities.

The NUC insists that for a course to be
accredited, it must meet the Benchmark
Minimum Academic Standards (BMAS) that
has been stipulated by the commission.

Some of the requirements include: “qualified
faculty members, good learning environment
and adequate teaching materials –
equipment, books and journals”..

According to the NUC, accreditation is
necessary to ensure “employers and other
members of the community that Nigerian
graduates of all academic programmes have
attained an acceptable level of competency in
their areas of specialization.”

It also says it is also important to certify
courses to assure “the international
community that the programmes offered in
Nigerian Universities are of high standards
and that graduates of the institutions are
adequate for employment and further
studies.”

According to the commission, the pre-
accreditation process include “drawing up a
list of academic programmes to be certified,
compilation of list of panel chairmen/
members, time-tabling, budgeting and
organizing the accreditation coordination
meeting for panel chairmen and members in a
simulation workshop.”
.

...

The post-accreditation activities include
“analyzing accreditation reports (technical
and administrative), ranking of programmes
and universities based on their accreditation
status, publishing of accreditation status of
programmes, issuance of certificates to
programmes that earned Full and Interim
accreditation results.”

According to Premium Times, 13 federal
universities, 16 state universities and eight
private universities were running courses that
had not been accredited..

Some of the high profile institutions include
University of Nigeria, Nsukka; University of
Benin, University of Jos, University of Calabar.
The biggest casualty seems to be the University
of Abuja which has 15 of its courses,
including Law, unaccredited.

THE 36 STATES OF NIGERIA AND SOURCES OF THEIR NAMES

*Abia*
Abia is an acronym derived from the name of the

time it was formed in 1991: Aba B ende Isuikwuato Afikpo

*Adamawa*
This state was named after a warrior that conquered the region in the begining of the 19th century. His name was Modibbo Adama Bin Ardo
Hassan.

It was derived from the name of the Oma Mbala (Omambala) River (in Ibo, the native name of the river is Ànyịm Ọma Mbala).

*Bauchi*
There are three versions of how Bauchi got its name. One version says ‘Bauchi’ is Hausa word meaning the southern flanks of Hausaland. Tribes
living in the southern parts of the Hausaland were referred to as kasashen bauchi and the area they lived in later came to be known simply as Bauchi. According to the second version the state was named for Baushe, a famous hunter who settled there before the 19th century while the third states that ‘bauchi’ is Hausa word for
slavery since it was a center for slave raiders.

*Bayelsa*
Bayelsa was formed as a result of the clamour from the three LGAs in old Rivers (Brass LGA
known as BALGA, Yenegoa LGA known as YELGA
and Sagbama LGA – SALGA). The name came about from the combination of their acronymns.
BA + YEL + SA = BAYELSA

*Benue*

Niger and River Benue form a confluence in the state.

*Kwara*
This was named after the River Niger which forms the Northern border of the state. The Nupes used to call the river Kwara.

*Lagos*
The name is a Portuguese word for lakes. The Portuguese were the first set of Europeans to
reach Lagos in 1472. The name was inspired by the lagoons and rivers in Lagos.

CrimeBoko Haram: I’m Still Around – Shekau (PHOTO) by ADEWUMIMichael(op): 8:43pm On Aug 04, 2016
Boko Haram: I’m Still Around – Shekau

Boko Haram’s elusive leader Abubakar Shekau said in an audio message Thursday he is still around despite his reported ouster as head of the Nigeria-based jihadist group by the Islamic State (IS).
“People should know we are still around. We will never cause any discord among the people, we will live by the Koran,” Shekau said in a 10-minute audio message.
“This is our stand and we remain in our capacity as Jama’atu Ahlissunnah Lidda’awati Wal Jihad,” he said using the Islamic name for the hardline jihadist group.
His voice was recognised by an AFP journalist familiar with previous messages he has posted on social media.
It was also confirmed as Shekau’s voice by Berlin-based expert Yan St-Pierre of the Modern Security Consulting Group (Mosecon).
“The person who posted on the internet is a very reliable source,” he said.
Shekau’s audio message was released in response to reports that he had been purportedly replaced by Sheikh Abu Musab al-Barnawi, a former IS spokesman.

In the latest edition of IS’s online weekly magazine Al-Naba, which was published on Tuesday, there was an interview with Barnawi in which he was introduced as Boko Haram’s new leader
In March 2015, Boko Haram pledged allegiance to IS.

But Shekau dismissed Barnawi as an infidel who condoned living in an un-Islamic society without waging jihad.

The shadowy leader’s absence in recent months has sparked speculation about his fate and whether or not he had been deposed as leader.
He became Boko Haram leader after Nigerian security forces killed the group’s founding chief Mohammed Yusuf in 2009, sparking an insurgency that has left 20,000 people dead and forced 2.6 million people to flee their homes.

Boko Haram has been pegged back by an aggressive fightback from the Nigerian military since January 2014, losing territory and its capacity to mount conventional attacks.

Ok let's go !!

*●Don’t shout* at your wife when you are talking. It really hurts her.

*●Do not share* her love or affection with another woman. It is called Adultery.

*●Never compare* your wife to another woman. If the other woman was good for you, God would have given her to you.

*●Be gentle* and accommodating. She has sacrificed so much to be with you. It hurts her deeply when you are hash and irritating. Be tender. ..

*●Hide nothing* from her. You are now one and she’s your helpmeet. Let there be no secret you are keeping from her
.

*●Do not make* negative comment about her body. She risked her life and beauty to carry your babies. She is a living soul not just flesh and blood.

*●Do not let* her body determine her worth. Cherish and appreciate her even till old age.

*●Never shout* at her in the public and in private. If you have an issue to sort with her, do it in the privacy of your room.

*●Thank and appreciate* her for taking good care of you, the kids and the house. It is a great sacrifice she is making.
.

*●All women* cannot cook the same way; appreciate your wife’s food. It is not easy to cook three meals a day, 365 days a year for several years.

*●Never place* your siblings before her. She is your wife. She is one with you. She must come before your family.

*●Make time* to play with her and enjoy her company. Remember when you are dead, she’s gonna be by your grave but your friends may be too busy to attend your funeral.

*●Never use* money to manipulate or control her. All your money belongs to her. She is a joint heir with you of the grace of God.

*●Do not* expose her weakness. You will be exposing yourself too. Be a shield around her.

*●Honour* her parents and be kind to her siblings.

*●Never cease* to tell her how much you love her all the days of her life. Women are never tired of hearing that.

And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.
