Many aspirants have been into confusion ever since Jamb started posting candidates to various schools, up till now many are confuse on the criteria Jamb is using to post students to their schools of choice. With the recent statement Jamb releases Yesterday, that The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says the recent lists forwarded to various tertiary institutions was for candidates that qualified for screening based on institutions’ capacity. I can agree with that criteria 35% But the only Rumor i disagree with 200%, is the uses of O'level to post students to their various institutions Many people have been saying that Jamb is posting only Candidates withcomplete O'level results Which i totally disagree, because Candidates were not asked to upload any result while registering for the 2016 UTME exam , so Jamb did not have any information about each candidate's O'level result or So, It's totally and completely impossible for Jamb to be using that criteria to post any candidate to their various institution.. Oluwaseydex:With what you just said now, the point number 1 just spoiled everything You can score 300 and not meet all the requirements of the modalities either you didn't have credits in both English and Maths or something else(check the modalities and see) the reason why i stated that is that Jamb did not know any candidate O'level result 'cos candidates were not asked to upload any result while registering for jamb so Jamb can never know whether you have 15Credits or not , so my guy, I disagree with you totally |
We don't have to drag anything, this is what we call kwaruption (in buhary language) BUT something i just noticed is that instead of this thing to be reducing, it just keep on increasing from day to day, the best and only thing that can stop corruption in 9ja is RAPTURE...! We have so much to praise God for, there's great power in giving honor to Him. And many of you live that truth out, every single day of your lives. The Bible is filled with examples of praise when we see His power released - life-changing miracles, dramatic stories of the enemy being halted or defeated, hearts being changed and drawn closer to Him. Yet reality is that way too often, daily struggles or constant life demands can crowd out our praise to God. We might check the worship box at church and somehow think we’re good for the week. And all the while, with souls distant and cold, we sing words, we listen to music, then we go home. Praise and Worship - Why Should We do it? God alone is worthy of our devotion, praise and worship. He is God, our Creator, and we are commanded to praise and worship Him. Psalm 96:9 says, "Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth." Psalm 29:2 says, "Give unto the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness." A.W. Tozer said, "Without worship, we go about miserable." God doesn't want us to be miserable -- He has a perfect plan for our lives. He has done so many things to show us that He loves us and doesn't want us to be miserable. He wants us to have hope for a future with Him --he wants us to have eternal life in heaven with Him. A life of praise and worship fills our deepest needs, and amazingly, it also brings great joy to God. Zephaniah 3:17 states, "The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." Praise and Worship - How Do We do it? God tells us how to praise and worship him in His Word. John 4:23 says, "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks." In order to worship God in truth, we need to know that Jesus said "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." So, before you can worship in the way that God desires, you have to develop a relationship with Him through faith in Jesus, His Son. The best way that we can praise and worship God is with our every thought and action. Romans 12:1-2 states, "Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God -- this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is -- his good, pleasing and perfect will." Praise and Worship - Love from the Heart Many people think that praise and worship is only singing songs at church, but it is so much more! It is also a condition of your heart -- a willingness to exalt God and yield to his will. Worship is an expression of love and awe to the God who gives us more than we deserve. Whether you express your worship by singing, playing music, dancing or in some other way, remember that you are called to worship God with your every action, every day of your life. God is holy, loving, and worthy of all our worship and devotion. "Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength" (Deuteronomy 6:5). Now. can a Sunday service ever be completed without praise and worship ??

The title "family altar" simply means family Bible study and worship time. Every Christian family should have such a time daily. It is amazing how few families really take this seriously and practice this routinely. It is the best guarantee to have Christian children with good moral standards that do not drift through the teen years, to have a family that has a witness for Christ in the community, and to have a family that takes the church seriously and enjoys going to all the services. It is well to remember the great command that the Lord gave to Israel. Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up" (Deut. 6:4-7). Worship of the Lord is first of all vertical and then horizontal and begins in the home and takes in the whole family. I. What Is the Purpose of the Family Altar? A. To worship God together and learn more of His ways. What could be a better purpose. Children should learn to worship God in their early years that they might have respect for Him in the later years. They need to learn how to regard Him and to realize that He is the Creator, Holy, and to be honored in all that we say and do. B. To honor God's Word, develop respect for it, and to live by it. James says, "But be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves" (James 1:22). Remember the words of the Lord Jesus, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). Home is a good place to practice the exhortation, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord" (Col. 3:16). In these days when we have put the Bible out of our schools, we need to put it back in our homes and teach our children from it. C. To establish the family in the faith, personal convictions, and doctrine. Children and young people need convictions to stand up against their peers. They must understand their faith and know something of good Bible doctrine so they know what they believe and why. The home makes a good Bible school where the children can be grounded as they face the humanistic, evolutionary philosophy of [our modern society]. D. To pray over family problems and needs, burdens the children may have, and that they may have confidence in the God that answers prayer in the everyday things of life. All the members of the family have personal needs. It would be good if they could learn to share them openly and take them before the Lord together. There are school needs, boy and girl friend problems, problems with play mates, character problems such as timidity and fears of all kinds, questions about amusements, finances. Teenagers have deep needs and hate to express them for fear of being misunderstood or embarrassed. Their problems are big problems to them and must be considered. Mom and Dad have needs of all kinds. Financial needs, Dad's work needs, the car, moving, and all kinds of things can be prayed through with God. All the family needs to know they can have confidence in Him and that He will hear and answer prayer. E. To pray and intercede for others such as the pastor, missionaries, sick folk, unsaved loved ones, the neighbors, fellow believers in need, the church, our president, the shut- ins, those who are in trial or going through persecutions. Children who can learn to pray openly at home will have no problem praying publicly in the church weekly prayer meetings as they grow Why is it that so many household don't have family altars today ![]() This question was one of the question raised by a youth which people found it difficult to answer. Why is it that so many household don't have f prayer altars Nowadays ?

Are you confused about how JAMB will execute the 2016 admission placement? Did you also hear about the point-system? Yes! Many did and actually share in your state of Aporia. It is no longer news that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has introduced new measures for the 2016 admission. Different reports abound on the internet, however, not many are true of the new system. Here are 11 things you should know about the 2016 admission: 1. Post-UTME examination has been cancelled by the federal government. 2. JAMB did not instruct any institution to make use of point system as admission criteria. The institutions are given the freedom to develop their screening models which must not be in form of examination. 3. JAMB adopted 180 as the cut-off mark for 2016 admission into universities, polytechnics and colleges of education. 4. JAMB would no longer issue any admission letter to any candidate as directed by the minister. 5. Even though the board will not offer admission letters, it has been mandated to provide admission list and album to the institutions. [i.e, JAMB will offer you admission subject to screening by higher institution] You can check your status HERE . 6. The 2016 admission by higher institutions will be based on the 3 admission pillars of Merit, Catchment Area and the Education Disadvantaged Areas. 7. The admission quota as stated by Head of JAMB’s Media and Information Unit, Dr. Fabian Benjaminis: 45 per cent for merit; 35 per cent for catchment area and the 20 per cent for education disadvantaged areas. 8. Universities have been handed the authority to issue admission letters individually. 9. The Federal Ministry of Education and other stakeholders in the tertiary education sub-sector have agreed on N2, 500 as the maximum fee for the post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME. 10. Ahead of next year’s admission, the Computer-Based Test, CBT, have been cancelled. 11. JAMB has announced November 30, 2016 as the closing date for 2016 admission. Information Reaching us has it that the West African Examination Council (WAEC) made it know today that they are not yet ready to adopt the Computer Base Test (CBT)mode of examination. This was made known by the Zonal Coordinator of the examination body in Abuja, Yusuf Ari. According to him, despite the fact that CBT has proven to reduce examination malpractice, the board will still stick to the old method because of the nature of its examination. He mentioned that the council does not only conduct examination in urban area but also rural areas unlike JAMB. Again, the council conducts examination in over 80 subjects with many of them having components. English Language for instance, comes in three components, consisting of practical, theory and oral. He however added that the council may consider the option after adequate facilities such as sufficient computer systems, steady power supply and other infrastructural provisions are guaranteed. . ourschool.com.ng/2016/07/aint-ready-adopt-cbt-yet-waec/

Hello fellow Nairalanders, It's being a while now, i heard many issues on how to fix SD cards Errors like Memory card not formatted, Memory card formatted unexpectedly , Not seeing the SD card at all Unable to access any file on your SD Card and other SD cards Errors.............................. The Goodnews is that, I'm here to help you fix all sort of SD cards Errors within a minutes Lets go Fixing Corrupt SD Memory Cards & Photo, video and files Recovery With the advent of latest digital device models, storage requirements are also getting extended due to unlimited downloads of images, HD images, etc. from internet and video recording storage all the time. Therefore, SD cards have become the most convenient mode for portable data storage devices. This generation of SD cards provides good read/write speeds along with considerable space at minimal cost; due to which, today's devices are faster in speed along with higher capacities. SD cards are the primary source that makes the storage, portable in various devices such as smartphones, tablets, digital cameras, and many other devices. Yes, your SD card got corrupt if it has any of these symptoms! Most of the photos on your SD cards is missing. When you try to read the SD card through a system, no folder appears, or all the folders do not open and show error messages, 'Read / Write error on SD card' that indicates that it cannot read from the device. You are getting error messages saying that 'memory card error' or 'corrupt memory card' while trying to access your precious photos or videos stored on the card. You can see the contents of your SD card in your camera as well as in your system, but unable to copy these contents and get an error message that disk is "write-protected." Your SD card is recognized by your PC, but you are unable to see any stored photo or video, and it shows the message 'SD card is not formatted do you want to format it now.' Whenever your SD card gets corrupt, there is no guarantee that you will always recover your data back. In the case of physical damage, you may not be able to repair it, but a software error can be tackled in some simple ways. Wait! Have you tried any of these First Aids/Handy fixes before going further? Determine the type of your SD card; then it may require an SDHC device to read it. At times, some devices like readers and cameras may need software download to read the SDHC cards. Therefore, go to the device manufacturer's website and find out whether such an upgrade is needed or not. Fix 1 - At times, some of the devices may not read an SD card, therefore, try to connect your SD card to another device. Fix 2 - Insert the affected card into a card reader and connect it to your system. Click on the "Start" option from your Windows taskbar and then select the "Computer" option. Search for your SD card under "Devices with Removable Storage" and note the drive letter assigned. Next, click the "Start" option again and type "cmd" in the "search" box. Right-click "cmd" and then select the "Run as administrator" option. A command window opens, and you can fix your corrupt memory card from here.Next, type "chkdsk" followed by the drive letter corresponding to the SD card, then by a colon and /f. After you press "enter", the Chkdsk will check for possible errors and try to fix the corrupt SD card. Follow the subsequent message prompts. Lastly, check your assigned drive letter to your SD card to verify if the files are recovered or not. Fix 3 - Connect your SD card to a card reader to the system, if your system doesn't assign a new drive letter to it, then it isn't reading it. In some cases, the reader might be assigned a drive letter, but still, you get the message "Please insert the disk into drive E:" indicating that it isn't reading the card. To resolve this problem assign a new drive letter to this connected Card through your operating system settings. Fix 4 - If none of the files can be read, then possibly the directory will list the filenames, but the files can't be accessed. You can right-click on the drive letter and select "Properties." If you can view the used space on the card and if it shows all or almost all free space, then either all the files have been deleted, or the directory has been erased. In this case, you can use a Sandisk inbuilt solution that might restore all the deleted files easily. Fix 5 - If you can read all the files but can't save them, then your card might be in write protected mode. Unlock the switch to save or modify files on the card. If still, you are unable to read or write to the card, then possibly your files are lost or have become inaccessible. To fix it, you need to use a disk diagnostic tool that can work on memory cards too. Although you can also get access to your card by reformatting it, it will remove everything on the card. Therefore, make sure you have recovered all the stored files and copied everything to another drive before SD Card format. In the case of camera or Smartphone you need to use an SD card Recovery software as most of the files stored on your SD card will be related to photos and other media files. There are some sd card recovery tools available online which are efficient enough to avail you the best and accurate recovery results. You just need to choose the right tool and try to restore your lost, deleted and inaccessible files from the SD card.

Pipeline bombings: Militant group announces 2-wk ceasefire YENAGOA- A militant group, Niger Delta Revolutionary Crusaders, NDRC, based in Bayelsa State, Wednesday, declared a two-week armistice within which it urged President Muhammadu Buhari to review his hard-line stance to consequential dialogue with militants and first-rate leaders of Niger Delta to prevent total devastation of crude oil export facilities. This came as the Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, accused ExxonMobil of telling lies about the bombing of its Qua Iboe 48-inch crude export pipeline on Monday evening. Spokesperson of the militant group, self-appointed Brig Gen Mudoch Agbinibo, stated: “ExxonMobil can deny and fool the general public about their Export Pipeline blown, yesterday (Monday). How long can they lie to their investors? Just in matter of days, the whole world will see the truth. Qua Iboe 48” crude oil export pipeline is down, so said the Avengers.” NDRC, which recently blew up the Brass Creek Manifold, the largest in West Africa, situated in Peretorugbene, Ekeremor local government area, Bayelsa state, said: “With clear evaluation of the happenings and advice of well- meaning Nigerians and Niger Delta stakeholders, we hereby declare a two- week ceasefire for a sincere and proper dialogue.” Spokesperson of the group, WOI Izon-Ebi, said in a statement: “We want the Federal Government to consult distinguished personalities, royal fathers and chiefs of the Niger Delta communities. Government should disassociate itself from negotiating with political jobbers in Abuja, but come down to the Niger Delta communities.” “If after the two weeks of ceasefire, nothing meaningful happens, we have no option but to redirect our next phase of action to the exporting terminals to stop total export of our resources. “We hereby call on Mr. President to do the needful by being sincere to himself and Nigerians to engage in meaningful dialogue to ensure a lasting peace in the Niger Delta and Nigeria in particular,” it added. NDRC asserted: “We have lived all our lives as victims and like fishes constantly immersed in pools of pollution, so it is no longer new to us,” adding, “Come to talk about explosion and degradation it does not start today, it has been for the past fifty (50) years. That is why the colonial masters pointed it out categorically clear to Nigerians before independence that the Ijaws and the Ogoni communities are priority areas of concentration and development by the Nigerian government.” “All what we need is a clean environment devoid of pollution, development, good drinking water, motor-able roads cutting across our communities, electricity, universities, resource control,” it said. The militant group, however, expressed reservation about the Minister of Transport, Rt Hon Rotimi Amaechi, saying, “He is taking his hatred against former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and Ijaw nation too far, which is too bad for the peace and unity of Niger Delta and Nigeria in general.” “Maybe Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, the current minister of Transport is not a good historian; otherwise, he should have known that the three higher institutions in his Ikwerre land except Rivers State Polytechnic were established by an Ijaw man, Chief Diette Spiff, the then military administrator of Rivers State. They are Rivers State University of Science and Technology and University of Port-Harcourt,” NDRC said. “Why should a man that has three universities in his land, Ikwerre, recommend the scrapping of the one and only Maritime University in Ijaw land, which if fully operational will create qualified manpower to man the petroleum and maritime sectors. Is Rotimi Amaechi an instrument in the hands of Niger Delta oppressors manipulating him in order to achieve their Northern agenda? The militant group asked. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/07/pipeline-bombings-militant-group-announces-2-wk-ceasefire/ |

A three-year-old boy born with his organs on the outside will get life-saving surgery thanks to a chance meeting with British doctor. Ethan Suglo, from Ghana, has a condition called Exomphalos which means his organs are outside his abdomen. Last summer, doctor David Williams was in Ghana visiting his daughter who was teaching English and working on a radio show when he met Ethan’s father Charles, who also worked at the radio station. Dr Williams was asked to examine Ethan and within a year he and his wife Jacquie helped to raise around £51,000 to fly the toddler to the UK for surgery. I wasn't sure at that time what would be involved, but I did look Charles in the eye and said I'd do what I could to help.' He said he thought he would contact Ghanaian or Nigerian surgeons and the surgery could be carried out locally, but it quickly became apparent that Ghana did not have the facilities or expertise. Dr Williams, from Stretton-on-Fosse on the Warwickshire-Gloucestershire border, contacted professors and surgeons in England and a paediatric surgeon at the John Radcliffe Hospital said he could do the operation. He was told that £25,000 would need to be raised, so in March a fundraising campaign was launched to cover the cost of the operation, flights and additional costs. Dr Williams said that he has been told the total currently sits at around £51,000 thanks to events such as cake sales and half marathons, as well as help from charity Willing and Abel. The extra money will help other children, he said. Talking about how Ethan's condition affects him, Dr Williams said that Charles has told of how people in their home country refer to them as 'the family with the boy who's pregnant'. He added: 'They don't let the little boy go out of the house because everybody pokes his tummy and prods at him and makes comments. 'So when he's at home he will be able to go to school and have a normal life, play football and be a normal boy again. 'He's incredible really. He's a very happy child, a very happy disposition. Nothing seems to have fazed him really. He's met lots of people and he's very brave. 'But also he just gets on with it. He's just an adorable three-year-old.' Ethan's father Charles said the kindness of Dr and Mrs Williams is 'bringing a lot of joy and excitement' to his family. 'It's a miracle,' he said. Ethan is set to have what Dr Williams has described as “life-saving and life-transforming” surgery on Wednesday. *Ethan Suglo was born with the incredibly rare condition Exomphalos *The toddlers organs developed outside his abdomen in a large bulge *Dr David Williams met Ethan in Ghana and arranged for his treatment *Ethan is expected to undergo his life-saving surgery later this week This little boy seriously needs your prayer.... ![]() May God save his Life (AMEN) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3687157/Ghanaian-boy-three-undergo-life-saving-surgery-thanks-English-doctor.html

$2.1 Billion Arms Deal: Mimiko Collected N500 Million, Has A Case To Answer, Says Ondo APC Mr. Adesanya accused Mr. Mimiko of receiving N500 million out of the $2.1 billion arms deal from the office of the erstwhile National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. The opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State on Sunday said the embattled Governor Olusegun Mimiko has a case to answer over the $2.1 billion arms deal meant to fight the Boko Haram insurgency ravaging the North-East part of the country. Omo'ba Abayomi Adesanya, the State publicity secretary of the party, said this in a statement issued and obtained by SaharaReporters in Akure, the State capital. Mr. Adesanya accused Mr. Mimiko of receiving N500 million out of the $2.1 billion arms deal from the office of the erstwhile National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. He said the governor received the money when he served as the Chairman of the Goodluck Jonathan presidential campaign in the Southwest during the last general election. "We consider it as evil and callous for anyone to have received and diverted funds meant for the procurement of arms to fund the presidential campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party in 2015. As the chairman of Goodluck Jonathan Presidential Campaign in the Southwest, we do hold that despite the immunity that Mr. Governor enjoys, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko has a case to answer on this issue," Mr. Adesanya said. The APC spokesperson further accused Mr. Mimiko of using a factional chairman of the PDP, Clement Faboyede, in the State as an agent for laundering the funds. He alleged that the embattled PDP chairman is now on the run for the fear of being arrested by the anti- graft agency of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). "A factional chairman of the PDP in Ondo State, Clement Faboyede, who the governor reportedly used as a courier to collect the funds from the office of the National Security Adviser, has since absconded and deserted the State for the fear of being arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission," Mr. Adesanya disclosed. The party's spokesperson also said that the leaders of the PDP benefited and profited richly from the funds intended to be used in the fight against the insurgents that have displaced over 2.3 million Nigerians. saharareporters.com/2016/07/10/21-billion-arms-deal-mimiko-collected-n500-million-has-case-answer-says-ondo-apc

JAMB to conduct admissions based on merit, catchment area, educational less developed state Joint Admission Matriculation Board, JAMB, Sunday released guidelines for 2016 admissions into tertiary institutions in Nigeria. This was made known in statement signed by Head of Information, JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, in Abuja. Benjamin said 2016 admissions will be conducted purely on the three existing admission pillars of merit, catchment area and educational less developed states. The statement reads: "Sequel to the recent workshop convened by the Honourable Minister of Education on the modality for the 2016 admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria following the cancellation of Post UTME. "The federal government approved the re enforcement of admission guideline recognise by law. This is not the point system widely circulated in some media.
