Hello, It doesn’t affect the application, it only impacts your travel plans and with a quarantine hotel of course your financials!!
headhoncho:
Hello all,

Now that Nigeria has been added to the red list. How is it going to affect pending settlement applications?

monchat:
If you have someone that works in an office , that uses her company mail, you can ask the person and they send it to the mail of that person and the person prints it out and give you. Or if it is scan as pdf to the person, she forward it to your personal mail, you download it and send it a pdf to Naric. I think this solves your problem.
Thank you Monchat, it could be that Unilag is more strict about this, yes I used my friends company email address and this was the response back ”Official Transcripts can only be sent to the official email AND/OR addresses of the Registrar/Dean of Postgraduate School of an equivalent academic institutions, Professional Institutes, Scholarship Boards and Embassies”.
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Adeyholla: 11:05am On Jul 13, 2021
Hello, in regards to transcript for NARIC unilag is saying they can only send transcript to a professional email address/university address.
Can anyone please advise how they were able to get their transcript. Thank you
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Adeyholla: 8:44pm On Jul 05, 2021
Evening everyone,
Hope we all had a good day, please I have a quick question in regards to Naric.

My husband went to Unilag to request for his transcript and he was told that they cant give him the transcript but they can send it to the professional body email that is requesting for it.

Please does anyone have an idea about this.

[quote author=monchat post=102807140]If you have a resident permit, u can apply for your hubby under British rules.

You will need to have met the financial requirement of 18,600 pounds.
You will have to know the category you will fall under with the kind of job you do.
There are different categories, CAT A for the salaried job and non-salaried jobs fall under CAT A, CAT B means when you are combining from different jobs and CAT F is for self-employed.
Are you working as permanent staff, or self-employed? As soon as you know the CAT you belong to, it will help you.
You will need to meet the accommodation requirement
Prove of marriage, marriage certificate, pictures and communications
Your hubby has to the IELT exams or Naric to prove his use of English
Hubby has to do TB which expires after six months. ( I will advise that he do it when you are ready to apply for him)
For the visa fees and IHS, you will need to have the money for it, the amount is close to $5,000 for all the payment of visa fees + IHS
TB - N55,700 and IELT is close to 80k.

Thank you so much for the response, I appreciate it, I fall under the CAT A, salaried job and its a permanent role. I live in a 3 bedroom house with the kids. I have proof of marriage, wedding pics, marriage certificates, birth cert of the kids, communications via whatsapp, I am aware of the Naric n tuberclosis test as well.

Hello everyone,
Its been quite refreshing going though all the threads.

I have a question as I didnt see this in the threads I read. I am living in the UK with the kids for 2 years now, hubby is the only one in Nigeria and I was wondering if I can be his sponsor. My children have presettled status, I have resident permit which expires in 2024. My sis is my sponsor, we came through the EEA family permit.

My question is can I apply for spouse visa for my husband. I have a job and meet the threshold. We have been married for over 12 yrs now and havent seen each other in 2 years.

Your advise will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Please do I need to do Tuberculosis test for EEA family permit visa?
Yes you do.

Cyberknight:
You're right.
The poster may be eligible based on his uncle's EEA citizenship and UK residence.
He will have to show to the HO's satisfaction that he is totally dependent on the uncle, has no other relative here in Nigeria who he can live with, and that his circumstances are really bad without the uncle's help.

This is something which the Home Office tends to view restrictively.
The uncle of course must be financially able to support him in the UK.
Presumably the uncle has gotten his settled status in the UK, because the position might change after 31 December
Exactly, thats it.

The program expires 31st december 2020.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Adeyholla: 5:47pm On Jul 22, 2020
justwise:
This is misleading, even if the uncle is from an EEA member country is unlikely to favour the op.
Its not. I dont comment on information I am not sure about. So long his uncle is an European citizen and lives in the UK and performs his treaty rights/duties
He also has to show that he is financially dependent on his uncle.
The only way he can show he is a blood relative is by performing a DNA.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Adeyholla: 3:01pm On Jul 22, 2020
mimilyrics:
Wrong advice. The OP is not eligible for the route mentioned.
He or she is eligible for an EEA family permit.

Please am applying for settlement visa through my uncle in the UK. I have booked Appointment but am really confused on how to upload my document and I don't what document I should use as proof of relationship to my uncle. Please I need advice
You will have to do a DNA test to show you are a blood relative.

Congratulations on those who have had success with their visa.

MY APPLICATION IS EEA FAMILY PERMIT

TO @justwise and the gurus in the house

I will like to ask if this is normal I submitted my application and got my passport back after 16 working days, with my family permit granted.

In April 9th I submitted that of my dependant and till date I haven't heard anything back.

However in April 30 i received a mail saying application wasn't straightforward. I called and case was escalated.

Till date nothing from them. My sister in the UK who is the sponsor called this morning and she was told that application has been reviewed but decision not made

Is this normal? Has anyone had a case like this or knows anyone who has had a similar case.

It's been 3months since my permit was granted 3 months left to expiration date I can't leave my children.

Any advise will be appreciated.

Hello house,

I have been following this forum for quite sometime now.

I got my EEA FP in March (i indicated that my children will be accompanying me, all names listed in my application )and in April 9 i put in my children application.

However today I received ''
Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.''

What do they mean by this, should I be worried.

I hope to hear back soon. Thank you in advance
