It's indeed cheaper to live in non big cities and non touristy places but you may not like it there. Most of the time, the people and the system there are not used to foreigners so you may find it difficult to integrate or get things done especially with the language barrier.

Personally, I feel the south is the best to live because of the exposure, development and opportunities. I don't know much about Rio but I can tell you about São Paulo in detail.

The city of São Paulo is located in the State of São Paulo and it's just one of the 645 cities in the state. Yes, the state alone is over a quarter of Nigeria's land size with a population of 45m. It's very possible to find and live in cheaper cities within the state of São Paulo. You can explore cities that are close to São Paulo city. It's not always a traveling distance, you might just be crossing a street to enter the next city.

There are also cities categorized as São Paulo interior, they are farther from main cities but they are cheaper, you may get bored there too depending on your personality. For example Campos do Jordão, it's a touristy interior city about 3 hrs drive from the city and very hilly, if you like nature, you may like it there.

You may stay in any of these cities and move to SP City later if you want, it's more feasible to move within a state than to move inter state. Brazil is too big that moving from North to South for example will be a big headache. There are places that will take you 3 days by road to get there, even Rio to São Paulo is 7 hrs by road

Another city you can check out is Curitiba in the state of Paraná. It's conducive and relatively cheap.

Rio and São Paulo are expensive especially with accommodation but food and transportation isn't a problem in SP. São Paulo is more developed than Rio but more crowded. São Paulo is the New York of Brazil. Rio is more of an older city with older buildings and lots of graffiti but the people are generally perceived to be nicer.

I hope I answered your questions.
If you want to live in Sao Paulo you can check out these Municipals, it's cheap to live there and they are safe but you have to travel by Train or Bus for 1hr30mins to get to Sao Paulo Grande (Capital)

Scientheosopher:
Coming from RN7, you would get a slightly better experience from RN11. So you may go for that.

But I would suggest that if you're not in haste, wait for RN12. If atheistandproud is right, the phone, especially the SoC part, go make sense die. When will it be out? I don't know.
Guys is the RN12 out? I want to upgrade RN7

The phone serve me well well lol

Hey Everyone, Tudo bem? smiley

Docs to include in your application to make it solid now

1 - Birth Certificate

2 - Trip Itinerary (full details on all your activities in Brazil)

3 - Self introduction letter

4 - Authorize your Invitation Letter in Itamaraty (For family visit or reunion)

5 - Tour Reservation (Viator or any locals)

6 - Proof of Tax returns

If you include this docs to your application with good bank account, you will get your visa asap

NB - for those trying to reach me via PM here, I’m so sorry I don’t have access to the mail I used to open this profile on NL

Bom fin semana a todos

Ate Mais wink

Same here,
I've been to Dubai, Senegal, Rwanda, turkey, the Gambia and have a good account statement that runs into 60m+ and yet was denied. I wish they can tell us the reason for denying our application.
If you have travel history and good bank account statements then you got denied, something is wrong in your application. It might be your time of travel, the place you want to visit, your introduction letter is not well prepared because the CG handling application now is not smiling, he will check your account very well, read your letters and check your application again and again before making any decision.

Visiting and Business Applications are moving well so if you are applying for tourist Visa. I will advise you to arrange your docs very well and always give full details for the reason why you are traveling to Brazil just like you guys take Schengen serious (Brazil o kere mo)

You can reapply immediately, after 1 month or anytime after you are denied but find out why you are denied before you reapply cos this will help a lot in the next application (Brazil don’t state the reason for refusal/denial, that’s part of their rules) but you can still find out (if you know you know)

The truth is Applicants without travel history get Brazil visa very well. Just get the right informations and the logic, with luck. Tudo bem!

Been a while guys, reading through and following the thread, I decided to drop something for you guys today

Lol, thou it’s not funny but you guys should take it easy with our CG Lagos

For now the consulate is facing backlogs which made them to stopped receiving visa applications on Fridays

The issue with delay in your visa applications or response after interview and the normal processing time is due to the backlogs due to some diplomatic reason I can’t share some stuff here about what is happening in the consulate presently because Brasil is one of the easiest visa to get if your docs are intact and it is straightforward to apply

Oga puff quick one, abeg chill lol

The lady that went to collect her passport and said she was preggy, Ma’am you just Kobalise the rest of the ladies/women applications with them because Brasil nah one way direction dem dey reason

You can withdraw your passport anything you want without mentioning that but know this, withdrawing your passport is automatically denial to your application so I will advice you send a mail and state the reason why you are taking your passport (which is delay in their response, which is normal) because of your future application

if you want to apply now especially if you are preggy I will advice you to wait till 2nd week of next month by that time things will have been better.

A bonus info for you guys, some visas will be out next week so If you have been waiting luckily your application might be among

I forget to add this, YES the CG are seeing all of this, be careful of what you share here

I’m out cool

Hey guys, Good day, I have been using RN7 since last year and it's time for me to drop it and upgrade. It's a lovely phone and still working fine though I'm not cam freak, just surfing web and a fast phone is my type but the phone really served me, no disappointment.

I will like to change the phone asap and I won't lie I am lost because it's been a while I visited this thread, I just need you guys to recommend a nice phone for me now. I don't mind if it's still XIAOMi and Redmi series

Thank you

God bless you all.
