Jayboi: Good day everyone. I have been wondering how married men in diaspora with their wives/family in Nigeria cope when they develop sexual urges. I know women can still try and hold body o but men!
For instance, I know up to ten married men staying in the UAE/Qatar with their families here in Nigeria. Infact they visit just once in a year and make sure their families/wives get the best form of comfort. After, they are off again for months.
I don't want to believe they just remain celebate throughout. Or are there Oloshos or prostitutes in the middle east?
The husband abroad and the wife in Nigeria, they all have secrets. Just comot mind for dem matter
WealthyNigerian: He found this and was advised to post it on Facebook so that those that knows much about treasure stones and minerals would help him identify it. But unfortunately, non of the comments has ascertained what exact treasure or stone this is.
I know that there are many greatly knowledgeable People on Nairaland that would be able to tell us what this is and it's value. I'm sending this Thread's Link to him immediately now so that he would follow the discussion to know it's value for certain. And so that he would take the necessary security steps in guarding that his Landed Property for the massive natural Wealth which this may indicate is abundantly there.
I'm sure that we shall be able to get our assured confirmation here. So, great Nairalanders, what do you think this is and its value?
Redomi: There is this big rat that comes every night to eat our cocoa pods. We have two cocoa trees in our compound. I killed the male rat last week and I killed the female today. It is forbidden for any Ondo ekimogun born to eat the big rat. So I'm going to sell it off.
PuZZyNegro: I traveled from Lagos to Port Harcourt to see my future in laws family. My girl wasn't around as she's still in Lagos schooling.
I went there with a family member and got them some items like shortcake biscuits and juice.
They offered us food and we ate. After the meeting and normal questioning, we were set to go when surprisingly, this people brought out two loaves of bread and gave us. I told them that the food we ate was enough, that we don't need the bread.
We haven't even gone far when my girl started texting me on WhatsApp angrily asking me why I rejected her mother's gift. That she gave it out of love, this and that.
I told her that bread is the wrongest gift the mother could give me. I am supposed to buy them bread and not the one way round. I intentionally refused to buy bread for them because I assumed bread is an everyday food that people buy and eat, so I decided to go with the package biscuits instead and here they are offering me bread.
If it were something produced locally by them like coconut or something, I can understand but bread?
Please, did I do anything wrong rejecting the bread?
Righteousness2: Another Humanitarian move from the Israeli Defence Force. No military Force in the world does this in a War.
Make no mistake!! Israel will crush these iran terrorist gangs after which others will come to peace with them.
It is when Israel is in a kind of peace that Russia, Turkey and Iran will lead a collation of other nations like Libya, sudan, Ethopia, etc in the Ezekiel 38 and 39 GogMagog War to come invade Israel for its wealth.
In that war, the World nations and inhabitants will understand that ISRAEL is God's Personal property and the Apple of HIS Eyes. As GOD HIMSELF will close the Chapter of Russia nd his collation
GOD Bless ISRAEL.
As a Christian, what is your interest in a conflict between Jews and Arabs? Jews will rather live with Arab Muslims than Christians. You need to understand the conflict in the middle east before you dive in with your Christianity opinion. Israelis are not Christians.
Only return money to an account that has the same name as the account that sent money to you.
Nairaland1stson: I have suspicion that someone wants to use my account to launder money. A lady visited my shop demanding to purchase goods worth millions of naira she was so much in a hurry or desperate for someone who intends to perform such transactions. She was accompanied by a man she claimed to be her sick husband, two kids, and another young man. She claimed she needed to perform the transaction as soon as possible so she could travel down to a neighboring state for her husband's treatment.
There was no much negotiations as it seemed she was the one begging for the goods to be sold to her. After confirmation she said I should bring my POS machine so she could make a transfer, I already had suspicions on her so I told her i didn't have one and besides who would want to perform transactions worth millions of naira with a POS machine mode of payment. I suggested that she heads to the bank or make a transfer from her mobile app, which she shrugged off immediately like it was not even an option.
The young man with her insisted I get a POS vendor so that the transaction can be made which I declined and told them that there were many around the vicinity that they can go get one if they wish to. The young man left and returned a few minutes later with one, when they arrived the woman suddenly said she was scared and needed to invite the person who referred her to our place. She called this person and he arrived shortly, he was someone known to us in the past but not well known. She then requested that I get another POS vendor, which I suggested that they should get back the previous vendor they invited earlier. The young man went back again and returned with the vendor. The woman gave the vendor a debit card, which the vendor tried pulling the whole money at once, but it didn't go.(exceeded limit) The POS vendor then proceeded to split the money and it was successful. So she was only able to make part payment for the goods.
They were about to leave when I reminded them that I was supposed to issue a receipt for the part payment deposited into my account. Which I did later, and they left. Fast forward to the evening same day, she called me claiming that her husband's health was demanding much, and she wouldn't be in need of what she purchased earlier that I would have to refund her immediately.
What rose my suspicions on them are:
1. The acclaimed husband of hers, whom she claimed had stroke as at when they visited the shop, I saw him earlier when they alighted from a Keke napep which dropped them across the road and he was walking very fine but when they began to approach my shop he began to limp like he couldn't walk properly and the woman held his hand for assistance (they didn't know that I had seen him earlier walking properly without any form of aid) when they were at the shop, the acclaimed husband who had stroke sat and crossed his legs, is that even possible for someone suffering from a stroke?
2. Why would they insist on only POS mode of payment (for a transaction worth millions)
3. Why would a woman whose acclaimed husband is sick with stroke decide to perform such a transaction (her pirioty should be making sure her husband is taken care of medically)
4. I know you must be wondering what it is she bought, but I will not be disclosing such for privacy reasons (Hint: it is a single item)
5. She was incoherent when I asked for the name and address that would be added to the receipt (it seemed like she was guessing the name and address)
What are your thoughts? Should I refund the money immediately, if I will, what are the measures to be taken to ensure I am on a safe side
That's the greatest tragedy to befall Nigeria since the civil war - floating the naira. The IMF and the World Bank has been edging Nigeria to float the Naira (remove all subsidies and open our ports) since the time of IBB. They achieved this through Tinubu. Once the dollar has crossed the N1000 mark, the next mark is N2000. I predict it to hit that mark within the first term of Tinubu. At the rate the naira is falling, it might make it in 2 years.
When a leader refuses to practice common sense economics, that is what will happen. Whatever you read in school has to be balanced with common sense. Floating the Naira when we are currently servicing debt with almost all our forex earnings is nothing short of foolishness.

Pierocash: That is what the Niger Junta ought to have done to ease pressure from them. Send him on exile , constitute committee to investigate him,, charge him for corruption, and sentence him in absentia, case closed. All this " return Bazoum" that Ecowas and the west have been singing wouldn't have been there
Bazoum still has foreign support. He cannot be allowed to leave without resigning.
Dafresh: Yesterday I want to general hospital to see a doctor, he recommended that I should run for test, because it was general hospital so I decided to go and do the test in private laboratory, the test lasted for an hour but going back to see the doctor, the hospital have closed, today being Tuesday I want to see the doctor but the nurses said he doesn't come on Tuesday and I'm seriously sick, doctors in the house please help me. You need another test. Your test result says greater than 1.8 is significant and I can't see anything greater than 1.8 in your result. You need to wait for your doctor.
jogojogo: My younger brother passed on almost a month ago after being admitted for 3 month at UCH Ibadan. The young man was in his twenties who just wrote is last paper in February. He was diagnosed of aplastic anaemia and was under medical attention untill he passed on.
The death came to us with deep sorrow and pain. I have tried to move on even though it's difficult. I still cry every day secretly but my biggest concern right now is how to get my mother to move on. She has remain unconsolable as every morning I could hear her cries as early as 4.00am daily. I had to be with her in her room talking to her.
Soon, I will be travelling and I am worried she may never find any reason to be happy.
I have spoken to her in my little wisdom and don't even know what else to be telling her.
I need our advice please on how better to handle this and what can be done to effectively help the situation
Let her mourn her son till she feels better. Only God can console someone who lost a child. In her own time, she will begin to learn to live with the pain. Right now she has not even realized the pain will never go away. When she's crying, walk into her room, greet her, hug her but don't tell her to stop crying.

Benard5050: I worked in a school for four years and I decided to resign to establish my own business, a laundry business to be precise.
Immediately I gave my boss a month's notice, she turned me into her enemy immediately, and she became so bitter towards me.
The school is run by husband and wife and I discussed with d husband who is the director that I still wish to maintain the room in the staff quarter till December that the house rent should be deducted from my last salary because our rent is being deducted every month from our salary.
The director agreed, wished me well and even advised me further on other things.
My last day at work was Wednesday and happened to be my birthday, this woman never wished me a happy birthday but instead a full manifestation of bitterness that was open to all to see. I made sure I fulfilled her requests but I cried cos I felt let down and betrayed... I joined the school when the college was only jss1 and 2 and now with d help of God and my hard work and those of others, the school has developed and grown to ss3
I'm into teaching aspect and also extracurricular activities that I do teach the students and won many things for the school regarding that.
I left unceremoniously and I felt so sad and betrayed...
Yesterday the director messaged me I'll have to vacate the room I'm occupying and this house is where I'm doing laundry, I planned to be there till Dec and then move away when I start making some money from my laundry.
How can humans be so inhuman and ungrateful?
I have nothing to say to them, I put everything in God's hand.
You actually wamted to be doing your new business from accommodation provided by your old boss? You did not plan this well.
