How much would it cost to build a mud fence for a 10,000 sqm of land which is a hectare of farm land
I am trying to cut costs. I will use cement to plaster the walls eventually. Using cement bricks for fencing would be too expensive. |

Politics › Re: Two Anambra Local Governments Clash Over Renaming Of Road After Anyaoku by adisabarber(m): 5:16pm On Mar 22 |
Which LG has the people there been paying their taxes to? IzunnaOkafor: By Izunna Okafor, Awka
A disagreement has erupted between Idemili North and Onitsha North Local Government Areas of Anambra State following the decision by the Idemili North authorities to rename the popular Limca Road after former Commonwealth Secretary-General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, a decision that has been vehemently been rejected by the Onitsha North Local Government which insists that the road lies within its territorial jurisdiction. The development has sparked debate among residents and stakeholders over the legality of the action and the authority responsible for naming public roads within the state.
The controversy began when the Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area, Hon. Stanley Nkwoka, announced the renaming of Limca Road, a major route linking Nkpor Junction with the area around the Mausoleum of Nigeria’s first President, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, at St. Charles Borromeo Roundabout. The road, which also connects Awka Old Road, the Onitsha–Awka–Enugu Expressway and the Obosi–Umuoji axis, was officially renamed “Ichie Emeka Anyaoku Road” during a brief ceremony held at Nkpor Junction.
Speaking at the event, the council chairman said the decision was taken to honour Chief Anyaoku for his outstanding service to the community, the nation and the international community, noting that the renaming was also intended to inspire young people to embrace integrity, hard work and dedication. According to him, society must move away from celebrating individuals of questionable character and instead recognise those whose lives represent discipline, excellence and selfless service.
Also speaking, former Minister of Aviation, Chief Osita Chidoka, praised Anyaoku’s reputation for integrity, stating that his record as Commonwealth Secretary-General remains one of the most respected in Nigeria’s diplomatic history. Represented at the ceremony by Ambassador Chimezie Obi, President-General of Obosi Development Union Worldwide, the elder statesman expressed gratitude for the honour, describing it as one of the most cherished recognitions he has received and urging younger generations to see the gesture as a call to pursue service with honour and credibility.
However, the Onitsha North Local Government Area has strongly faulted the renaming, describing it as illegal, unconstitutional and a clear violation of territorial authority. In an official public notice signed by the Mayor of Onitsha North, Hon. Nweze Tony Nwora, the council maintained that the entire stretch of Limca Road, from the country home of Dr. Azikiwe through Borromeo Hospital up to Nkpor Junction, falls within the jurisdiction of Onitsha North and not Idemili North, insisting that only the legally recognised authority can rename any road within its area.
The council cited provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, particularly the Fourth Schedule, which vests the administration and control of streets and public spaces in the Local Government within whose territory such facilities are located. It further declared that any action taken outside such jurisdiction is ultra vires and therefore null and void, warning ministries, agencies, map publishers, logistics operators and members of the public to disregard the newly announced name until due process is followed.
Onitsha North also stated that it reserves the right to take all lawful steps to defend its territorial authority, stressing that the publication serves as a formal caveat against any official recognition of the new name. The council emphasized that Limca Road, also known as Old Enugu–Onitsha Road, remains its lawful designation unless changed through the proper administrative and legislative procedures. |

Otutubuike: The Anambra State governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has presented certificates of recognition to six newly-elected traditional rulers, highlighting the role of traditional institutions in promoting peace, unity, and development.
Presenting the certificates at the Light House, Awka, on Friday, governor Soludo urged the monarchs to prioritise good governance, their people’s welfare, and community harmony.
The governor said the event reflected the state government’s commitment towards strengthening traditional leadership for community development.
Governor Soludo noted that the office of the traditional ruler was a creation of the town union constitutions in most communities which define the responsibilities of the traditional rulers.
He tasked the monarchs to abide by the constitutions of their respective communities to avoid the usual issues that arise between traditional rulers and presidents-general.
He noted that the Public-Private-Community Partnership model is now effective, as many individuals have contributed significantly to their communities, with other states adopting similar approaches, especially under the amended local government laws.
Those who were recognised with certificates included the traditional ruler of Azigbo in Nnewi South LGA, Igwe Justice Samuel Okoye , traditional ruler of Isulo in Orumba South LGA, Igwe Clement Onwuka, and the traditional ruler of Amawbia in Awka South LGA, Igwe Uche Okonkwo among others. Science/Technology › Re: See The Snake My Dad Killed Yesterday In The Night. by adisabarber(m): 12:41pm On Nov 26, 2025 |
Maxitomxane: Yesterday around 10pm, My Dad was doing his routine check of the environment to ensure things were in order before going to bed. He was with a torch when he noticed slight movement close to his feet as he moved, he shone the torch towards the direction(the torch wasn't very bright) and saw a tail behind one of the kegs on the ground beneath one of the windows of my parents room and thought it was a lizard. Our compound is large, so we keep kegs, bowls and some other stuff behind our house. Our chickens' coup is also behind close to the fence. As my dad moved to check what it was, the snake suddenly moved rapidly behind other kegs. When my Dad saw it, he shouted Jesus, who no go shout?? My mom heard it and was like "what's that"... My Dad didn't answer, he just swiftly entered the kitchen via the back door and got the cutlass. The first strike didn't get the snake well, so it tried escaping and slithered towards the chicken coup. My Dad had to wait for about 30 minutes making sure the snake was in a enclosed area before he stuck it on the head. He said it took the snake almost 2 hours after he had struck it before it stopped moving completely. From 12am till this morning, my mom never sleep and she no gree open window . Omo, I thank God for his protection, coz imagine my Dad wasn't with a torch or somehow, the snake entered the house, Kai. I know it's a cobra probably a forest cobra. Within 30 mins, pesin don kpai.
Harmattan season is snake season. The snakes would seek warmer spots like underneath rocks and close to human environs to keep warm especially during the cool evenings and cold nights. Let's ensure to check our environment and use a bright torch at night especially. Forest cobra |

KiNg0G: I have never been in a relationship before, all my life was for pay as you go in since I was a teenager to this moment because I always wanted it easy and stress free..
First it seems like a flex, sampling different flavours from one brothel to another, hookups and all. Till it turned an habit that I can't stop.
Now I am more mature going in my 40s with nothing to show for it all these year's. I just can't stop myself, Is this how I am going to live my life till old age.
Every week I know how much comes out from my account for sex and I am so tired and wish I would stop. My high end tastes doesn't help matters at all..I can't even save anymore. 40k for short, 80k for daybreak. Not talking about transportation and other necessity, Is this how expensive sex is supposed to be for a man.
I know some people who are in relationships will say if I get a girlfriend it still expensive but I really doubt so.. when I go 3 to 4 times in a week not even calculating the amount spent in a month. This is a cry of a man in pains, I need help on how to overcome this challenge. Discipline is all you need. Don't go to places where you are likely to see them. If u must go to a bar, go to one that there are no prostitutes. |
Health › Re: Why The Umbilical Cord Wraps Around A Baby's Neck (Photo) by adisabarber(m): 5:27pm On Sep 21, 2025 |
giftson102: Umbilical Cord can wrap around your baby’s neck due to the following reasons;
Excess fetal movement Very active babies can sometimes move in ways that loop the cord around their neck.
Long umbilical cord A longer cord gives more opportunity for loops or knots to form.
Too much amniotic fluid (polyhydramnios) Extra fluid gives the baby more room to move, which increases the chances of the cord looping.
Multiple loops or knots in the cord Some cords naturally form loops or even true knots, which can sometimes wrap around the neck.
Twin or multiple pregnancies More babies = more movement and interaction with each other's cords.
Baby is in a breech or transverse position These positions can lead to more twisting and turning.
Loose abdominal wall or uterine tone Especially in women who’ve had multiple pregnancies, the uterus may be more relaxed, allowing more fetal movement.
Important Note: A nuchal cord usually forms naturally, without anything the mother did or didn’t do. It’s not preventable and often doesn’t cause any problems. May your baby not experience this.. In Yorubaland we call them Aina for females and Ojo for males but if it's Ijebu both male and female will be named Aina |
