You threw some figures around, including some projections but you did not really address my concern. If you factor in the extra 3 million that would have been distributed by February 13th, 27 million human beings with rights to vote will still be left out the loop. I am not expecting 100% collection but we must collectively strive to hit at least 85% - 90% mark after massive campaigns in this direction by INEC, political parties and Civic Society Organizations. That is the only way to get citizens to ask questions about the way they are being governed and that is what real anti-corruption means.

You may not understand that democracy is an idea, if you read the writings of John Locke, you may just understand better that no democrat supports disenfranchisement by the State especially when the disenfranchised still desire to participate. The reason is because participation in the election process boosts the moral authority of the elected to take decisions on our behalf, including the right to sign the death warrant of death row inmates. What you seem to be saying is that we should leave out those 27 million eligible voters because they do not matter. I disagree with you. Have you wondered why the vote of a Professor in the University has equal voting weight as that of a stark illiterate of 18 years and above?

Most of the other points you presented are quite emotional. How can you be sure that some people registered multiple times? Each person's finger print is unique and they are run through the machines before production, so if people registered multiple times, they would have been identified at production.

You also sounded as though it does not matter if the IDPs are disenfranchised. What gives you the right to choose their next leaders for them? Voting is not just a civic right, it is a civic responsibility for a reason. Are you comfortable if elections are not held in the North East because of the ongoing campaign?

As for the talk of the President trying to delay the elections so that your candidate will not win, how does that even make sense to you? The elections will be tightly contested and any winner will likely not have a landslide. Believe otherwise at your peril. But whatever you believe, remember that if he had decided to act like Obasanjo, you will not be as hopeful of the victory of your candidate as you are today. At least, he gave you faith in the process that 'may' product your candidate as the preferred candidate.

Finally, my point remains that so far it still depend on us to ensure that more people get involved in the electoral process, we must make that happen.

You are very correct. It is an issue even in the US. Some states disenfranchise millions of voters because they don't have drivers license or tax certificates. The democratic party loses millions of votes this way every year but they still win elections. The problem is coming from Jonathan, this man has never been qualified for anything he has gotten in life. Now he hopes the old luck will work if he delays the elections but I think it is worse for him.

The Mambila dam is going to provide 1/5 of Nigerians' s power. Unfortunately delayed by Dr Clueless (the world acclaimed inferior president). So the North is set for the greatest renaissance this country has known for a long time. Oil price will be $30 a barrel in May but we know Nigeria will be saved by a region where economic activity is defined by more than spare parts trading, second hand clothes and fake imported electronics.

Half of Jonathan supporters are haters of the North. They dislike the floozy president just as much as everybody else and they are well aware of his many failings. The problem however is that they have all been brought up with an even stronger iirrational fear and hatred of the north by their parents. For this reason alone they will vote for someone who should not even have been allowed near any public office because of his sanguine - problematic temperament.

Jonathan will LOSE by a wide margin. Buhari will WIN by a landslide. Then the predicted destruction of Boko Haram, Niger Delta militants and treasury looters will start with fury. One thing sure in February is that the punishment of certain people will start then and they know themselves. People who want to go to hell quick should start watching the few existing fictional films of it now.

Nigeria buries its enemies and eternal destruction awaits those who stand against a country anointed. I have said all the kidnapping, stealing and rape that Niger Delta militants committed will still be punished by God... well prepare to see it now. Boko Haram also is consigned to utter destruction. Please calculate what the fast food industry boom from taking lunch and drinks to local primary schools is going to be. Work that back into demand for chicken, rice, milk, beans, lunch plates, lunch boxes etc. and what that demand will do for the agricultural sector.

There is no PDP machinery as such anymore at the presidential elections, religion and fear of Tue north will drive votes for Jonathan..PDP governors in the north will not help him. Hatred for corruption and insecurity will drive votes for Buhari in the SW. Tribalism and religion will give him.large votes in the North. Intra ethnic divisions will help APC in Delta, Rivers and Akwa Ibom making him win or get more than 25% in those states.

Everyone noticed that but everyone also recognized it as a form of respect. It is culturally not acceptable to interview an elder person or authority figure without interjecting helpful words to help the point they are making along. It is normal culturally acceptable behaviour.

The only negative I have is that the president was given too much time to blan the usual rubbish about fighting corruption with technology. All the details about an IT system preventing fraud is besides the point of having good institutions, making the laws work and actually jailing people to deter corruption. The US has more technologies to deploy against corruption but mayors are sent to jail regularly for corruption, Other political office holders are sacked or forced to resign and properties seized. We are still looking for about N30trillion stolen and somebody is talking about technology.
