Na so. She won't just shut up and face her tedious job. This is how they draw irrelevant attention and insults to themselves. angry
She can and she will. This is one smart woman. Not as experienced as NOI but she knows where the opportunities for saving money are. The FG and State governments are extremely wasteful and corrupt institutions. If you know what they are doing with Nigerian money you won't be abusing her even if you are a PDP supporter. They are stealing not less than N2trillion every year. That is why zero based budgeting is the answer. Some FG guest houses, conference centers, hostels and offices can generate another N5 trillion a year if they are privatised. Jonathan for all his stupidity would have done the same if he had won the elections.
I know middle level civil servants in their thousands who buy brand new cars for their wives every three years. If they look to save $5bn they might eventually save $10bn

He received money from NSA office. The FG is not arresting him for arms deal. He has to explain why he got paid for by the NSA. There were not a lot of paid programs on AIT showcasing the Nigerian military. If there were , was there a contract signed? and who approved it?

Please get serious. The President is doing his job . I have studied 6 presidents in the last two weeks. None has slept a full day in his country in that time ; Hollande, Modi, Obama, Erdogan, Iranian President and China.
There is globalisation in the world today so meetings for collaboration would be frequent. I would be more insulted if South Africa or Ethiopia were getting the exposure.

The second meeting Buhari went is for energy, Bill Gates was there. There is a lot of revolution coming in Energy and Nigeria will gain from it. You might be able to use solar energy in your house for less than N400k for which you might pay just N 30k a month for panel and battery.
They are trying to crash down solar energy price globally and also provide global subsidies for other renewables. How is this not important for the President to attend?

Dr Jonathan, those of us who are by God's grace well educated and have worked many years DO NOT appreciate you.
You were just a lucky and undeserving leader who mis used all opportunities.

You were self absorbed, egoistic, fakely humble and you permitted runaway corruption.
You did not properly invest our $114 per barrel oil earnings, never developed the Niger Delta or anywhere else. You did not focus enough in power or refineries with the net effect that we did not have a fallback

There are some young people without experience in life that you can foool but we see through you.
The success of Buhari or even a million failures of Buhari does not subtract from the fact that you did not show good leadership to Nigeria.

Bloomberg did not write off Buhari at all. This conclusion is in the parochial mind of this IGNORANT OP who has been paid to write unreasonable thrash
APC is not a socialist party.
The first country Buhari visited was the US. He has constructive working relationships with all European leaders. The same people who blame him for being pro-western also ate now calling the government socialist.

Please get serious about the problem Nigeria has. The Naira has crashed with the oil market. The FG needs to attract investments whilst ensuring that the country does not get raped again. The only way we gain from incestments is when the companies come here, pay taxes as at when due, obey our laws and pay good salaries to Nigerians.
I nternational banks raped us when we were selling oil at $114 a barrel , we now have a debt of $70bn without an indication where the money went.

I never thought I will see the day when paid articles in Bloomberg become a rating scale for Nigerian governments. That is inferiority complex on a massive scale. They also write that trash about Russia, Iran and Venezuela . Never about debt ridden Greece, Brazil and UK. Well these countries are becoming stronger by the day due to sanctions.
Let us wait for Buhari's budget for 2016 and it's reflationary programs. Nigeria should also institute a comprehensive ban on products from countries that our currency is doing badly against lime the US.
Our anti corruption drive should continue because thst is the only way Nigeria will be efficient and prosperous , the view of some US institution is completely irrelevant.
We are going to need to take some loans and the money in the world now is realky in the hands of western banks. A few infrastructure deals financed from China, GCC countries are more likely the ones we should be concentrating on.

My fellow yorubas when are we going to even protest even in a small village in the south west, or is it true what other tribes say about us, that we are cowards. Never, the fulanis have already taken over our precious ilorin and we just folded our hands. We need our sophisticated odua republic. grin grin
Yorubas invented organised popular dissension in Nigeria. Awo started the war against what was northern domination at that time which no.longer exists in Nigeria. At the time Ibos were in full blown cooperation with the North NCNC/NPC coalition that made Zik President
Yorubas fought IBB regime to a standstill after election annullment ...Abacha took over and Yorubas were at the fore front of the fight against him
Why do you think Tinubu is reaping so much in political relevance, because he get fine face? Ibos have just woken up from trading to discover protests but their immediate objective is narrow , evil , parochial and will fail. We wish them luck.
Politics › Re: Why Buhari Won't Succeed In 4 Years - Cramjones by Adminisher: 6:12pm On Nov 27, 2015
cramjones:
This is a very difficult op-ed to write haven been identified as an ardent supporter of President Mohammadu Buhari, however, I have sat back to study the trends in terms of the raw data that reflects development indicators for Nigeria and have realized that fixing Nigeria is way beyond PMB at this point, for the most part in the first 4 years of this government, expect nothing but a little improvement but for the most part things getting really worse! Here is why.

1. When oil was over $100/bararell for the most part in GEJ's regime, the per capita income was only $2800 (average annual earning per head as a function of total GDP), meaning Nigeria saw more money than it had ever seen in the past 16 years, but most citizens can't point out to any Dubai-like improvement. Most of that money made people like Dasuki and Deziani billionaires and left over 112 million people living in poverty. Today oil price less than half of it, per capita income is down to $2200 with persistent rampant corruption even under Buhari. I doubt that any tangible thing can be done in four years. In fact, the economy is so bad that Buhari can't even balance the budget without driving Nigeria further into debt by asking the Senate to grant him approval to borrow over $10billion.

2. Today our growth rate is 2% as opposed to an annual rate of 7%. A 2% growth rate with no hope of an oil price increase will only lead to more job losses, less capital development, and an even more indebted nation.

3. Naira has fallen from N160 to N225 to a dollar in less than 2 years. To understand the impact of this better, consider the following:

Mr Musa earns N160,000 monthly 2 years ago, an equivalent of $1000 value at that time. If Mr. Musa is still earning N160,000 it simply means the real value of money he has is $711. This is even more real in Nigeria since almost everything is imported, and the USD is the currency used to purchase this goods. It simply means that more naira would have to be used to purchase the dollar....eventually this would lead to the price of many things going up since importers would have to break even. Take a trip to the Lagos ports, they are almost dead, customs have lost over 70% of their revenue in the last year or so, due to an almost docile activity.

4. With ISIS attacking Paris, Boko Haram has been more emboldened to continue its campaign on soft targets. The geo-political climate of Nigeria has given rise to Biafra, and in general a wave of percieved and real instability. This will only drive away investors - leaving Nigeria in a more gloomy economy mess.

5. For the past 6 months, Nigeria has had little or no policy directions. We have only 1.5 years to go, and campaigns for elections will begin. As campaigns draw closer, most of the money that would be needed for capital development woudl be diverted for elections. Agitations in the South East would continue, Boko Haram attacks on soft targets will continue, youths would remain unemployed due to little or no capital flowing into and within the country. I only see doom.

I love APC, but I am afraid, the nation can only see any TRUE change if you only give it at least a decade, the remaining 3.5 years is definitely NOT going to be better. Brace yourselves for the worst before it gets an inch better.

God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Why is it that the people who don't know are the people who post the most?.
The OP deserves a konk on the head.
Nigeria is the most underperforming country in the world in terms of resource utilisation.
Agriculture has not even been touched, solid minerals untouched, consumption generating government investments like massive public works untouched and you say Nigeria will not improve.

Ordinary free school meals if well implemented will transform agriculture and services and add 2% growth rate to GDP.
Public works at least 15 million young people building roads , dams, bridges and parks. That will put money in pockets and encourage consumption. When there is consumption the factories will run.

Nigeria's destiny has always been more than oil. Nigeria's richest man is not in the oil sector. The country is an agricultural and solid minerals power house

Finally we have not less than $21bn diaspora funds flowing into Nigeria every year. Please OP , go and sit down somewhere. It is corruption and capital flight from that that has been killing Nigeria. Nigerians were buying whole blocks of flats in the UK during the stupid Jonathan era and you say the economy won't go down
Let government start on their program in the new year.

Nigeria never had as low as 200MW power generation sInce 1975 . PDP collectively have only raised the power generation from 4000 MW to 4880 MW after spending $21bn some people should be in prison
You are even stupidly crediting PTDF to Jonathan. This ignorance is disgraceful. PTDF was established by the bloody Abacha, the first head of PTDF was former head of state and now President Buhari.

Nigeria's economy grew at 7%only for two years of Jonathan. These are figures from Okonjo Iweala herself.

The real rating of Jonathan regime is what we have now six months after he left: the oil price crashed to 1/3 it's former price and we have unemployment, no refineries, a crashed currency, a debt of $70bn, importation of everything from rice to petrol and insecurity.

God bless everyone, presidents, citizens who have worked to make Nigeria proud!
This comments is for PMB and the APC to key into the numerous achievements Nigeria has achieved and stopand its propaganda campaign.
This is the summary about Nigeria that puts it on the Global stage!

"Over the last 15 years, Nigeria has enjoyed annual GDP growth rates of about 7% but with crude oil prices falling to about $40 a barrel from over $100 a barrel, it is no surprise that growth has slowed. Despite this, the economy continues to diversify and the country remains on course to achieve its goal of becoming one of the world's top 20 economies by 2020."

God bless Gej for his efforts and God Give PMB wisdom to key into this vision .
God bless Nigeria.
What really were the efforts of GEJ and what was his vision?. I want three of them please in single sentences. This man actually achieved nothing.
We were just lucky for the oil price.

Kaduna state governor Nasir El-Rufai says the stress of seeking ways of creating jobs for the teeming unemployed youths in Kaduna state has left him tired after just 5 months of assuming office. El Rufai said this while speaking at the just-concluded Ake Arts and Book Festival which held in Abeokuta, Ogun State November 17-21.

“As a state governor the challenge for me is what to do to create jobs in Kaduna State. Eighty-two per cent of the eight million people in Kaduna State are below the age of 35.
My challenge is not whether population grows next year or the year after. It is to get jobs for this young people, otherwise no one will sleep in peace. Frankly speaking, five months as governor, I am already tired. I honestly do not think that anyone who wants to do this job seriously can do it for more than four years and not burn out. When I look at some of my colleagues, some are putting on weight, they are looking nice, I ask them, ‘how do you do it?”he said
