Yorubas would rather die than leave hausa fulani.. Read d comments here.. They will blame igbos for fulani attacks
Yorubas believe in the greatness of Nigeria. Also this idiot Ganiyu Adams is below the standard of person to call for secession. In the East though he would be a god they worship.

Politics › Re: NIGERIAN ENGINEERS: A Lawyer Heading Power Sector, Works & Housing by Adminisher: 5:01pm On Nov 13, 2015
Too many kids on Nairaland.
The job of the Minister of works , housing and power has no relationship with engineering in anyway. It is about setting policy, looking at statutory regulatory frameworks in those sectors, managing performance of those who manage the performance of engineers. Overseeing policy on complex issues like contracts.
If you shadow a minister in any country every minute for one month , there is nothing like engineering in what they do.
Politics › Re: Reminder That Fashole Constructed The Most Expensive Power Station As Gov by Adminisher: 4:06pm On Nov 12, 2015
PappyMason:
Buhari's minister and saint of Power is on record to have constructed and commissioned the most expensive power plant in the history of power plants.

The now moribund 10MW power plant cost roughly 3 million naira per kilowatt.

At this rate it will cost Nigeria roughly 30 trillion naira to attain the 10,000 MW target.

Jonathan increased our power output to nearly 4500 MW doubling what he met.

Going by Fashola's procurement cost, the last administration would have spent at least 2.5 trillion Naira to reach Jonathan's mark and we will not even see one watt increase.
Fashola 's plant was a quick intervention topping kind of plant. Where did you get those figures for a that type of plant?. They are usually barge mounted, diesel cycle but the objective is always quick construction and commissioning and yes they come more expensive in terms of $ per MW
It is very highly uneducated and provincial to say Jonathan added 4500MW to Nigeria. You cannot as an educated person be telling lies. Yaradua and Jonathan inherited Obj's NIPP, managed it haphazardly and sold of the plants, and distribution infrastructure some say commendably. Of the Obj's plant that were completed I Jonathan's tenure the total does not even approach 2000MW and I have added the very successful ones which were built by Shell, Mobil and AGIP and we're not part of NIPP
I have often asked myself why all the revision ism and even in the revisionism, why the lies?. It is at least five years to build a 450MW plant in the third world. When some one quotes figures like you do he is assuming that turbine makers, electrical genration makers contracted foundries and forges to be on standby to serve Nigeria alone.
The best plant for Nigeria would have been Mambila Hydro electric. It would have come at much higher than even Fashola per MW but the running cost is extremely low and they last for everrrrrr.
So that is some more education for you. $ /MW is a very "local" way of rating the attractiveness of power plants.
Running cost is the issue in the third world and renewable energy types are the wave in the advanced countries

The zoo is panicking already... We will uproot you from the foundation... The zoo will fall
You are an idiot. All militant camps in Nigeria are showing up on satellite and IR surveillance photos. All phones in the Niger Delta are sucked for information to the callers, callers - callers etc.c with all permutations possible. Nigeria has acquired capabilities to take out anything within its borders. That they are talking to them is not panic but normal security procedures. They particularly want to draw relationship maps between all militant groups to get at the sponsors.

Politics › Re: Tony Elumelu's Tweet On Fashola's Appointment by Adminisher: 9:29am On Nov 12, 2015
It is instructive that children of hate jumped on and sank their teeth into some N78million website in an attempt to deny Nigerians this man's services.

78 million Naira was obviously a ridiculouslylow amount to be accusing a lagos state governor (over 500bn budget) of but these guys kept at it.

Just anything to drop Fashola to the clueless , corrupt Jonathan level.
Politics › Re: See Port Harcourt International Airport Arrival Hall by Adminisher: 4:49pm On Nov 11, 2015
For the PHC airport, the blame should go to Stella Oduah. She left a $500 million debt on the airport transformation program but managed to buy BMW cars at exhorbitant . Her people rewarded her stealing with a ministerial seat. Let us face it Ibo land is finished . I don't care what anybody says ...they are not viable. They don't have the ethical , moral and spiritual grounding to be in government.
Politics › Re: What Is the Need For Niger Delta Minister To The Nation ? by Adminisher: 4:43pm On Nov 11, 2015
We have cheated the region, we have polluted their land and impoverished the people. Of course we need federal funds flowing into the region through a Ministry.

The region is unlucky because even when they produce representatives in Abuja and a President like Jonathan those guys are completely clueless what to do for their region.
Politics › Re: Buhari & Ojukwu Protesting Against Obasanjo's Govt (throwback Pic) by Adminisher: 5:57pm On Nov 10, 2015
seunmsg:
Even Ojukwu recognises the leadership qualities of PMB and hence, the joint protest that he embarked on with the general. If he was to be alive today, am sure he will guide the misguided Igbo youths away from the path of hatred and destruction that Nnamdi Kanu is currently leading them to. He definitely won't want the Igbos of today to make the terrible mistake he led his people into making in the 60's.
Inferiority complex is destroying Ibo youths. It is a deep psychological complex. A fully formed , intelligent , proud Ibo young man opens his mouth and says Hausa people have been oppressing him and you wonder how and where?. Is it in business, is it in academics, is it in international exposure?. Why would intelligent people allow themselves to be manipulated in this manner.

I believe it is a CURSE coming out of the civil war. Some demons want to destroy the Ibo race. Watch out for some dastardly actions by the protesters that will cause a state of emergency and destroyed careers , businesses and academics in the SE for at least two years.

You won't believe how annoying this statement is. Jonathan governed by the grace of God and the North. Ibos did not make him President. There is no need persuading you from the path of destruction but please don't ask for sympathy when it happens.

Buhari is seemingly hiding something ..after using them for seven months to run the ministries before ministers come on board he dumps them without concrete reason. I though they were called permanent secretaries for a reason?.

Meanwhile he says ministers will be figureheads-so the new perm secs will have the power? I used to love this man Buhari but unfortunately he is rubbishing this country graduallly
Please explain what you mean again?. I don't think there is logic here. Who said ministers are going to be figure heads and why should we have 36 Perm Secs for 19 ministries? Please. There is no money anywhere. Nigeria's income has been slashed by 60%. I don't know whether some people really understand the implications. When Oil was $114 a barrel, Nigeria was borrowing much less now.The only people I want to see employed are young people in the millions. Please don't worry about Perm Secs

What Virgin Airlines wrote as shown in the beginning of the thread ia a telling indictment of Nigeria.
Any young man from.any tribe.who does not admit that the corruption of the PDP era would have killed Nigeria is a born coward . Econet, Indorama and other companies have said same about corruption being a disincentive to invest in Nigeria. Sometimes companies don't mind the bribe taking from.government officials but will.visit their anger on poor workers

Chai, but we warned them about bubu but they didn't heed to our advice
What did you expect with fake statistics that the last government was churning out?.

In any case a lot of it is global recession related and some are changing culture in Nigeria. Look at the list properly. Breweries are going out of business the world over in Nigeeia even more as they are going in the opposite direction to Churches which are growing by the day. Lafarge is crashing because Dangote is climbing.FMCG sector however is booming because operators know their market.

Buhari economics will start in January. What Nigeria is doing now is managing the disaster of Jonathan economics when the high oil price that was COVERING it up crashed.

Buhari will reflate by constructing roads, dams, bridges, sewage and drainage systems just to create employment for young people. This will increase inflation till 2017 and will drop the naira even more but people will be gainfully employed and we will have infrastructure and growth. After 2017 the boost in local demand by many young people working will pull in foreign investments and the economy will start booming. Nigeria should keep up the anti corruption war, collect it's taxes, endure short term inflatiom and try to keep young people employed...this young people employment is very important and Breweries and all the businesses you have mentioned will not do the trick. Massive public works is the answer.
Then we can grow sustainably like China instead of stupidly like Brazil.

That act alone destroyed Nigeria in ways that can never fully be reversed. It introduced the let me take care of myself and not the country into the engine of national building (the civil service). His act and those of babangida(who introduced this same way of life into the national thinking and way of life) literally set this nation on a path of destruction which can never really be reversed.
Wrong wrong wrong.
The people sacked were mostly corrupt. They were taking 10% on contracts, they racketed import licenses and imported cement, fish, meat, sugar but mostly cement that covered the whole of Apapa , Ijora and caused the kind of l port congestion never before seen in the third world.

Thousands others had done more than 25 years of service when Muhammed sacked them in the purge. I was in primary school. To give you an example of the civil service in Nigeria. President Azikiwes father was an emoyee of the Nigerian Railways. So there were lots of dead woods.

The purge helped a lot of young graduate civil servants to get promotion .At this time Murtala was driving an ordinary VW beetle and using a small office in Cabinet Office and later Fovant Barracks

Well, if you can defend a genocidal killer like Murtala Mohammed as a good leader then you better see your psychiatrist because all is not well with you upstairs
You are completely missed informed. Nzeogwu is my hero bit that guy stormed into Sardauna's residence and killed , not arrested and unharmed civilian . His buddies took Largema, Maimalari and so many officers of Northern extraction and killed them. I want you to imagine...it is not easy for Ibos to imagine ...but imagine what must be going through the minds of Hausa Fulani soldiers. Ask yourselves what they must be asking themselves, what their people must be asking of them.
Anybody or people who don't have empathy are good as dead. At the time Murtala's troops were committing genocide do you think they felt they were killing human beings. And to think that Ojukwu also was sending a column of troops to conquer Lagos , so you know what terrible things the opposing Nigerian Army going through mid west must be thinking. In any case this man was barely 26 years old at this time he was young, sad and very very angry.

Let me give you good advice. Anybody telling you about Biafra run away from them.
