I expect the OP to have backed up his story with strong reference from the Bible, Jesus Christ or stories about how the disciples observed fasting. If you can't provide a convincing reference, then you were just expressing your own view. |
Former President Obasanjo's Mind-blowing Description Of EX Gov Nasir El-Rufai In His Book ''My Watch'' Former President Obasanjo wrote a book on the people under his watch and his description of former governor El.rufai is apt!....Allegedly! The part describing El-Rufai says... “Nasir’s penchant for reputation savaging is almost pathological. Why does he do it? Very early in my interaction with him, I appreciated his talent. At the same time, I recognised his weaknesses; the worst being his inability to be loyal to anybody or any issue consistently for long, but only to Nasir el-Rufai. "He lied brazenly, which he did to me, against his colleagues and so-called friends. I have heard of how he ruthlessly savaged the reputation of his uncle, a man who, in an African setting, was like a foster father to him. I shuddered when I heard the story of what he did to his half-brother in the Air Force, who is senior to him in age”. “A leader must know the character and ability of his subordinates. Character-wise, Nasir does not have much going for him. But he is a talented young man who can always deliver under close supervision." "So, when Osita Chijoka approached, among others, propping Nasir as my possible successor, believing that whoever I supported would make it, which was a false belier; I did not hesitate to point to Nasir’s naivety and immaturity, talk less of his inability to give honour to whom honour is due.” “My vivid recollection of him is a penchant for lying, for unfair embellishment of stories and his inability to sustain loyalty for long. Two years after I had left office, Osita came to me to confirm how right I was on my assessment and judgment of Nasir. I knew what I could make him achieve, and he achieved it for my administration and the country. I believe that he can still be used in public service, but under guidance and sufficient oversight, making allowance for the psychology of “his petite size and his elephantine brain.” He was described as a malicious liar. He was more than that; he is a pathological purveyor of untruths and half-truths with little or no regard for integrity. In all of this, he unwittingly does more harm than good to himself. ''He's always playing himself up to give himself more ‘height’ than he has. Whichever way, he has my sympathy. It was characteristic of him. Unfortunately, his character could also be seen as a reflection of his upbringing, which may spread the blame beyond him.'' In a typical African society, it would be asked, “Did he not receive home training, or did he reject home training?” Is there nobody in the family to call him to order? One may also wonder how much his losing his father at the tender age of eight years had rendered him devoid of fatherly care, guidance and paternal direction and home training. *“Nasir suffers from the 'small man syndrome' coupled with psychological and upbringing problems." Racoon:Finding fault in every single Government's policy is in your blood and that of your likes. They now decided to make it easier, yet you are condemning the idea. Since you have it in mind that you can't see anything good in Tinubu's government, just continue as usual, you will condemn till he ends his presidency. |
Orlandoo:So you are also thinking the same way as El Rufai! |
johnmartus:This is problem I always have with some people like you, most especially people who attack others for not minding their business, whereas he is committing the same offence. If people comment about Laide Bakare giving her daughter alcohol or poison please what's your business in their reactions and how does it affect you? Did Laide called you for help? I don't know the difference between you and them that you are wondering why some can't just be like you |
Osogbo is peaceful and you can get an accommodation in some area with 20 hours daily electricity supply. Even the worst areas in terms of electricity in Òsogbo are still better than some places in Nigeria. In terms of security, Òsogbo is moderately out of news in terms of armed robbery and kidnappings, so if you mind your life and business, you are guaranteed 95% safety. In terms of accommodation, it depends on the type you want with your 100k budget. If you don't mind, you can get a room and parlour self-con with that amount. |
CBN Denies Introducing N5,000, N10,000 Banknotes The Central Bank of Nigeria dismissed a report claiming it had introduced N5,000 and N10,000 banknotes to facilitate cash transactions as false. In a statement posted on its official X handle on Wednesday, the apex bank described the report as fake and urged Nigerians to disregard it. “The content is not from the Central Bank of Nigeria. Kindly note that the official website of the CBN is cbn.gov.ng,” the statement read. A statement from the CBN’s communications department further clarified, “The only official sources for releasing statements to the media are our website or statements from our department. There is also no Deputy Governor by such name. We are investigating the source of this fake content.” The report quoted one Deputy CBN Governor, Ibrahim Tahir Jr., the move is aimed at reducing cash-handling costs and providing Nigerians with more efficient means of conducting large transactions. “The introduction of these new high-value denominations aligns with global best practices and will enhance economic activities while reducing the stress associated with carrying large amounts of cash,” the Governor stated. The CBN said there is no such name in its leadership. “The new N5,000 note will feature the portrait of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, while the N10,000 note will showcase Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, both in recognition of their contributions to Nigeria’s development. “Additionally, the new notes will incorporate enhanced security features, including color-changing ink, holograms, and anti-counterfeiting technology, making them impossible to replicate,” the fake report stated. The fake report also said the nationwide rollout would begin on May 1, 2025, with commercial banks instructed to start issuing the new notes via ATMs and over-the-counter transactions. https://punchng.com/cbn-denies-introducing-n5000-n10000-banknotes/?amp |

NCC Approves Mobile Tariff Increases: Voice Calls to Cost ₦15.40/Min, SMS at ₦5.60, 1GB Data at ₦1,400 Starting January 2025 The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has approved new mobile service tariffs, set to take effect in January 2025: • Voice Calls: ₦15.40 per minute (up from ₦11) • SMS: ₦5.60 per message (up from ₦4) • 1GB of Mobile Data: ₦1,400 (up from ₦1,000) These increases come at a time when inflation in Nigeria has reached a record 34.6% in November 2024, the highest in nearly 30 years. This inflation spike, driven by rising food prices and high energy costs, has put additional financial pressure on Nigerians, making mobile services more expensive. Despite these challenges, the tariff hikes are expected to encourage greater usage of mobile data, particularly for communication on apps like WhatsApp. Telecom operators that provide superior mobile data Quality of Service (QoS) are likely to benefit the most from the trend toward increased data usage. While the tariff increase provides some relief to service providers facing rising operational costs, it is still a short-term solution to the broader economic issues, particularly the ongoing impact of foreign exchange (FX) fluctuations. The longer-term solution lies in fostering a strong local tech ecosystem that can reduce Nigeria’s reliance on imported technology and enable operators to pay for local infrastructure in domestic currency, potentially shielding the sector from future inflationary pressures. Bandit leader Bello Turji challenges Nigerian soldiers, says ‘you know our location, come to battlefield and let’s fight’ Notorious terrorism kingpin Bello Turji has again challeged the men of the Nigerian army, saying they know his location and they should come to the battle file to fight one-on-one with him alonside his men. Turji’s challenge come after the Nigerian military revealed on December 20 that it had captured key members of Turji’s network during an operation. Major General Edward Buba reported that Bako Wurgi, Abubakar Muhammad, and Hamisu Sale (also known as Master) were among those taken into custody. Wurgi, allegedly connected to the killing of a Sokoto king, died from wounds sustained in a firefight but provided important intelligence before his passing, according to Buba. “The arrested terrorist leader, Bako Wurgi, eventually succumbed to gunshot injuries sustained during the firefight. He, nevertheless provided valuable intelligence to support troops’ operations before he died,” Buba stated. Responding to this, Turji, in a video released on Wednesday, Christmas Day, denied that the arrests were made during a battle, claiming the individuals were detained in markets and hospitals. He also asserted that the suspects are not bandits and alleged that those arrested were ‘innocent’ elderly people from his ancestral community. “Edward Buba, look at the elderly people you arrested. They are above 75 years old. And look at me. I am 35 years old, and you said those people you arrested are my accomplices,” Turji said. “Edward Buba, be mindful of what you are telling people. If you cannot go to the battlefield, go inside your room and rest and stop lying to the people.” Turji further accused residents of Zamfara and Sokoto States, specifically residents of Shinkafi, of collaborating with the military and threatened to make 2025 a year of increased violence if his demands were not met. “The message is for the residents of Zamfara and Sokoto States, specifically residents of Shinkafi, to release our brothers who are with them; otherwise, the year 2025 is going to be deadly for them with frequent kidnapping for ransom,” he threatened. “Our brothers whom you arrested were picked up at the markets and others in the hospital. We never fought any battle with you. If you actually want to fight us, not our parents, you know where we are. Come, let us fight. “We are calling on the residents of Shinkafi, Isa, Zurmi, and its environs in this coming year, 2025, if you don’t address those informants responsible for the killing of our brothers, you will face the consequences. You know we are killers; we know how to kill. You people see us as uncivilised; we also see you as such. “Any town that fails to obey our directives, we are going to turn it into rubble,” Turji said, pointing at some dilapidated buildings close to him. He also challenged the military to show the firearms it claimed were seized from the bandits during combat. “Display them to the people if you fought the battle with us,” he said. FG Says it’ll Close Down 2nd Niger Bridge if… The Federal Government has bemoaned the vandalising and stealing of the metal components of the Second Niger Bridge. The federal government says it may have to shut down the bridge if miscreants and scavengers continued with the destruction of the bridge. Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, Mr. Mahmuda Mamman made this known on Sunday when he visited the bridge to ascertain the level of the recent vandalization of the metal components. He called on security agencies to intensity surveillance on the bridge to curtail the activities of the miscreants who he said were after the mental components. He noted that the bridge may become impassable and vehicular activities on it will not be impossible if such destructive act continues. He said: “We are here to see the level of vandalization of the Second Niger Bridge. It was an unfortunate situation that all of us woke up to the trending news of vandalization of some metal components on the bridge. “This is a massive investment put up by the Federal Government in order to ease movement of goods and services to Nigeria. To me, free movement is a basic human right and all of us must take collective responsibility to safeguard it “We have interfaced with the contractor handling the project, Julius Berger and it is really unfortunate. The Federal Government has actually done what it is supposed to do. “We have written to security agencies concerned asking them to intensify surveillance activities along the road so that such things will not happen. “At the same time, host communities have a responsibility to play because safeguarding national asserts is not a responsibility of one man; it is a collective responsibility. “What the miscreants are actually after, are the metal components on the bridge; anything metal, the miscreants are after it and it will be vandalized and at the end of the day, if care is not taken, the entire bridge will become unmotorable. “That is why it is good for us as stakeholders to make sure we safeguard this infrastructure in the interest of public good and the nation. “On the delay in the completion of the project, he said: “We have interfaced with the contractor and he said the major challenge why the project is not completed is because of security concerns. “With the recent development, we are hoping that all things being equal, that is the commitment he gave us, in the next three weeks, everything about the Second Niger Bridge will be completed. “The bridge is still under maintenance by the construction company that built it and before the handing over, l am sure that most of the things that were vandalized are going to be replaced.” https://www.withinnigeria.com/news/2023/07/31/fg-says-itll-close-down-2nd-niger-bridge-if/?amp=1

Your problem is surely getting out of hand. First blame yourself before you blame your pastor, what are you doing on the dating app? You went there as a human being and your pastor also went there as a human being, then why the ranting? If you think that your pastor going to dating app is wrong, then you are also wrong. Get me clearly, I am not in support of a man of God not laying good example, but you shouldn't have bring this matter here. |
FG Bars Online Banks From Accessing Customer's Photos, Contacts Loan apps on Play Store will lose their ability to access their users’ contacts or photos from May 31, 2023. This came as the Federal Government said it would enforce the latest policy by Google, saying the action was consistent with the Nigerian authorities’ move to curtail the invasion of customers’ privacy by loan app firms. The Federal Government had in recent time taken major decisions aimed at tackling the violation of customers’ privacy by loan apps. Notably, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission had recently registered 170 loan apps out of the 200 operating in the country. Google, in its April 2023 policy updates, said the new policy update would provide respite for loan app users in Nigeria and other places that have become accustomed to crude loan retrieval methods employed by a majority of loan apps. Google said, “Policy preview (effective May 31, 2023): This article previews changes included in our April 2023 policy updates. “We are updating our personal loans policy to state that apps aiming to provide or facilitate personal loans may not access user contacts or photos. “We are introducing additional requirements for personal loan apps targeting users in Pakistan. Personal loan apps in Pakistan must submit country-specific licensing documentation to prove their ability to provide or facilitate personal loans.” This new policy is coming after the firm announced updates to its Developer Programme Policy, mandating digital money lenders in Nigeria, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Kenya to conform to regulatory rules or be taken down by January 31. According to the firm, only digital money lenders that have adhered to and completed the Limited Interim Regulatory/Registration Framework and Guidelines for Digital Lending, 2022 (as may be amended from time to time) by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission and obtain a verifiable approval letter from the FCCPC will be allowed on Play Store in Nigeria. https://punchng.com/fg-bars-online-banks-from-accessing-customers-photos-contacts/?utm_term=Autofeed&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook#Echobox=1681084547 |

oldienavie:This life is full of surprises. See the rubish you typed. So you want to add to her problems and create an everlasting trauma for her, you are planning to screw her till when you get a woman you will be caring for, then you will discharge her. Haba! A rattlesnake is even better than you this wicked being. Anyway, no problem, you can continue, but I wish all your children will be females and they will receive whatever you plan for this woman including any other women. What is wrong in you marrying her? Afterall, you confessed her extreme love for you. If you don't want to marry her, don't turn her to sexual object. Even if she says that she is ready to be your friend, turn her down. Either look for your own wife or marry her, otherwise, karma is waiting for you in the later part of your life. |
What you say determines the level of your reasoning. Every sensible person will know that for the whole country to observe a 2-week holiday will have very serious negative effects on the country. And some people are still supporting this trash. |
Sheistoopretty:I should have said including your father, but I am thinking that you may be a product of baby factory. So, if I included your father, you might just laugh it off. |
Jennyclay:Cheating women and commercial sex workers are the most shameless people living on earth. I'm allergic to broke and wretched women who instead of finding something done, they depend on opening their wrinkled legs for any man who is ready to pay. I hate such women like Kilode! See your life, instead of condemning the cheating attitude of the said lady, you were typing trash. Were you there when they both reached agreement? In addition, who knows maybe the lady would have spent just N300 to reach the man's house. |
PandoraObi:In fact, you did not miss any truth. Those Obi followers are aggressive and very toxic. What they current have in mind is that if Peter Obi lost the election, there will be war. They don't think that politics is like a game, you lose this time, you win next time. |
YoungBoyNeverBr:Eeya sorry I Pray that your owners locate you quickly and take you to the nearest brain resetting centre ASAP. |
Where are those Name Checkers Association of Nairaland (NCAN)? Come and say something about your brother being caught. It still baffles me why we still have slow pokes with toxic brains full of tribalism in nairaland. Nairaland should have been a platform where the unity of Nigeria should begin to face our corrupt politicians instigating us against each other. Know that there is no tribalism in Aso Rock and other various Government offices. |
Had it been this incidence happened in one of the SW states, those people full of tribalism would have been ranting "na dem." We should all stand up to condemn every acts of criminality and lawlessness anywhere in the country. |
Pwettylinda:The report said that the incident happened in Tudun Wada Dankadai community at Tudun Wada Local Council in Kano State, yet you were shouting Afonja doctors. I am very sure that the owner of the womb who carried you for about 9 months will now be regretting about not flushing away your dirty embryo when it happened. Honestly, people around you need to urgently do you a favour by dumping you in a competent psychiatric hospital. |
Cosmatikka:Your foolishness is hereditary, so it will be difficult for you to abandon it. Check the history of your family to date, none have ever been successful as that man. If you truly hate him, pray to God that you don't want his type in your own descendants. Type the prayer now. |
Cosmatikka:Stop taking mkpurumimi, it is seriously affecting your brain. The poster is talking about data, you are taking about Tinubu. I wonder the type of endurance people around you go through when you reached the second function. |
