I read a story from this section that made front page about a guy (abi na girl) that said his aunt is begging him to take a job with Jevinik with 80k salary and free acomodation. he said hes bin jobless for a year and needs advice whether 2 take up d job or not!
That thread realy anoyed a lot of people including myself. Ok a little story abt myself.

Am a graduate with 2:1 and guess what my salary is? 45k! and i spend 7k on tfair every month with a very wicked boss who sees himself as God. I got dat job after a year just like dat op but unlike him, i hustled hard for dat job which i saw here on nl, had to even borow money for tfair.

but dat my boss is the reason am still on dat job cos hes preparing me for sth bigger, i wont run away like others. there are a lot of things i ve learnt and am still learning dat will come very handy very soon.

45k is even better,you never see 7k huh for a 2:1 graduate for that matter. I believe everyone would always have their days of little beginnings...

If u r talking about the financial mess what about the 10000 police recruitment that will commence very soon? And again it might interest you to know that as at now immigration are more understaffed than even the police so what are we talking about? The best bet is never to use these recruits as the pawns.

You are so on point my brother,however,the 10,000 police recruitment was due to the security challenge in the country,the NPF gave the recommendation as an excuse,saying they are understaffed. As for the Immigration staffs being understaffed,let me ask,have you ever been to any immigration office? My brother,they are so overstaffed that some,even most are idle and they even decide to run shifts,so everyone would be engaged. Most government jobs are overstaffed o,its just a means by the government to create employment for people which is a good thing.

I understand your point,that was why I referred to it as a "political game". Every government recruitment is political that's why we must not "throw away" the political aspect of it. That's the point my brother.

Cancellation of the last recruitment will be the most wicked thing APC govt will embark on. The current recruits have gone too far, they've sacrificed their former jobs, risked their lives for traveling to unknown states all in the bid to serve their fatherland. It will be to callous to just truncate their appointment. The question remains, 1. Are the people recruited not nigerians 2. Didn't APC promised the youths jobs during their campaigns? 3. What about the strenuous 3 months induction they went through? Don't also forget that these guys have been exposed to various weapon handling, they might be a threat to the national security. If this APC government is really what they claim to be then they should rather create more n more jobs rather than retrench.

I understand how you feel, I was also part of the process and I have my reservations.However,PDP started the political games with their last minute recruitment when they already know the financial mess Nigeria is in right now,so,I wouldn't want to heap the blames totally on the APC. This government is trying to fix a lot of mess he met on ground and I know PMB is really concerned about the unemployment and underemployment which has become a plague in Nigeria,so I know he would do something about it once he is settled. Let me conclude by saying that,I would rather not be insensitive to those affected by this political game,let's keep pressing on great,energetic Nigerian youths!!!

There would be a fresh recruitment early next year. The cancellation was political. The handwriting was already on the wall,APC already warned Jonathan against last minute recruitment! I am not a politician though

dance with peter started yesterday with 16 contestants making it into the competition. 9 for team peter, 4 for kaffy and 3 for flexi. it shows on AM urban, 7-8 pm Saturdays.

Inaddition to your info,just watched it 3pm to 4pm on AIT today. My question is,is it a daily show or only weekends?
