If education was by beating all first class students would have have scars all over their body from beatings

That's why I said, if you've not being a teacher before you just wouldn't understand...

In my NYSC days,I don't beat sick students. There is no way you would teach and wouldn't beat,that's the only language some students understand. I use to say I would never beat a pupil,was a very strong advocate of that however,if you've taught before you would understand...This story is very sad.

Go to admissions office in the new senate building and explain,they have a list with them of transcript received.you can resubmit your credentials(Photocopies,wouldn't cost you anything) cos they usually attach it together.

A lot of 2:1 graduates around,so 2:1 isn't a bigdeal. I also graduated with a 2:1,thinking that's all I need.Well,my advise is get GMAT,SHL past questions etc and start practising vigorously,your 2:1 would grant you access for job aptitude tests.You may still stay with your parents or relative.Most aptitudes tests are in lagos,you can stay in lagos with a relative to save transport fare but while staying with a relative,never be a liability,teaching job is the most readily available job now,go teach so you wouldn't need to beg for money to barb your hair or go out,you would be respected that way,while you prepare for those tests.Better still,get internship placement just for experience.Most applications are done online get a phone with internet access and a laptop with a modem.You are good to go!

I wish parents come to nairaland to see what children of nowadays are capable of. Abstain from sex you can't,use condom you don't,get married,you aint ready. Sex isn't for kids,it is for adults,that's why they advise no sex before marriage. All you want to do now is abort,then later you dump the gal,so,when you are ready for marriage then,you look for a virgin to marry. The gal is the biggest fool in the world. THE LIST IS NOT OUT YET,beware of scammers! Anxiety almost killed me, I had to go to Ife myself to find out.Final shortlisting is still ongoing at the faculty.Only Jamb and Pre-degree has a fixed cut-off,DE doesn't,they would consider those things I stated earlier...

Its not out yet, I went to Ife myself today to find out,shortlisting still going on. Let me add by saying,what would determine your admission to any department is the number of candidates that applied to your department and the slots available,the overall performances of the candidates that applied to your department.Some departments are more competitive than others.And,also the numbers of leg factors applying with you.May God help us all.

You are right,some relatives render some people's life useless,I know a story,the boy was living at an aunt's house,he was older than her kids,when it was time for him to write his o'levels,they denied him the opportunity,this guy was brilliant,she said how could he write waec before her first child? He managed to go to a poly but was denied any form of financial assistance.Now his life is so useless,he dropped out,nothing has been heard from him.Some kids are better off with their poor parents than rich relatives...

I payed a visit to an uncle. Stayed too late to return home. Left very early the next morning because I had to get home change and resume work by 7am.

Please ask them o o,one Aunty did that to me,after working so hard till my body aches,she ended up telling my brother and my brother told my mum that I didn't do anything. Reading some stories here makes my heart bleed,there is really no place like home. My experience happened when I decided to go to Benin Republic since I studied French in school,I felt,if I am in that environment it would help my learning,so a relative said She had contacts there,I ended up staying with a pastor's wife whom the pastor isn't always around,which wasn't planned,was an emergency arrangement.Her kids don't do house chores,they are kind of spoilt,she had five kids,I would wash all their clothes and the mother's and fetch water every morning/evening,wash plates and sweep the big yard,the well there was so deep eh,my hands bleed from tough house chores.They almost turned me to a maid,cos I just want to learn french,their food there is terrible,most times no breakfast for me,or they give me stale food,which I throw out. I get really hungry,thankGod I went with cash.Well,I had to leave earlier than planned,no man's land.I wasn't a kid,was in my 3rd year in uni,so I gave an excuse and left.Nobody can ever treat you like your parents.my advise,never take nonsense,remb,you are never at anybody's mercy even if it seems like it...

I can relate with what the OP wrote,I have had a number of encounters and if you haven't had such experience,it would be difficult to understand. All I can say is Jesus Christ is real and the manifest presence of God is definately with us.
