This reminds me of a secondary school classmate I saw again during my NYSC, I couldn't recognize her,from charcoal black to white,I was amazed.Even 2 of my uni coursemate did same...I pitied them cos those cream cost as much as #10,000 or more,when gals like that face financial difficulties,you would know from their skin.I also wonder how they would look at 55,rainbow colour,freshfish odour,even Markay foundation and Sleek powder wouldn't save them

You would know the implications when you see the consequences...I know someone that slapped the NYSC camp director while in camp,he was dismissed. He never got a "real" job since then, about 10 years ago. No NYSC certificate na "gobe",if you can get an exemption,please do,but if you are below 30,I mean your birth certificate says you are below 30 and you present an exemption for an employment,be prepared to answer a lot of questions,some may not even give you an audience...

Please stop crying over spilled milk,those are what I call "external factors",you can't really influence/change them,they said the purpose of their creation and what their graduates are meant to serve are different,thus,the "discrimination", I would advise you poly students/graduates to "port" fast,if you think your certification is a limitation...Can you handle/tolerate such "discrimination" for the rest of your life? Do the needful and port cos this might not change in centuries. My humble opinion

What I have learnt so far is,any product people don't rush to buy is not good,Techno has proved itself overtime,tested and trusted! This Brye product is 4 years old in Nigeria and I am hearing about it for the first time? They are yet to get there...Ladies know that,if they want to try a new saloon,the ones that are very good in making hair,people rush and book to get their hair made,but the ones that can't make hair well,no matter the packaging,people don't rush them.Funny illustration huh? I know, but its true.

we were made to believe that once u get good grades in school that a job would be waiting for u....in so doing the innate entrepreneurial traits is then allowed to die.
this i believe is the reason for the quagmire we are in now

..so hence this over dependence on jobs...

i believe there should be change in school curriculum to include business management which should be to incorporated as part of the courses which is mandatory no matter what course one is reading in school

so that when students graduate, they could stand on their own

I agree with you, there is a great disparity between gown and town. There should be a balance between the two.

I got the invite for Saturday too and this is the second one I'm getting after I applied for the Graduate Trainee. I called them when I got the first one, I was told that wasn't for Graduate Trainee. I believe these assessments are done in batches, so there's is a possibility this new invite is for Graduate Trainee.

If I was to be in lagos,would have simply dashed down there but the logistics involved isn't worth gambling over,all I would get would be "sorry" no way!

Most times,they don't read CVs,its actually some programmed software that picks candidate. Talking from a personal experience from a large coy,didn't confirm one of their requirements before travelling to Lagos,I was refused to write the Aptitude test,they blamed it on their software that picks candidates and send them invites,they said that how many CVs can they read? Since then,I verify well before going for any assessment

I got the same invite for 9am tomorrow,those "idiots" changed their name to GL Consult so people wouldn't suspect but same old address. I never show up for such,they send me invite per time but I just never showed up.I wonder how they got my phone number.

To the best of my knowledge, Stanbic doesn't specify in the emails sent out for ASSESSMENT invites (Of course, I stand to be corrected). So if you've applied for multiple roles, you might have issues knowing which one you are being called for. When you pass the test and you are being invited for an interview, they will specify by then the role you are being considered for.

Long and short of my story is, go for the assessment first and don't worry about banking experience "yet".

I work for STANBIC IBTC BANK , the Advert is true .
Before now the advertised position was a contract post but has been resolved that it should be made a permanent position along side PERSONAL and BUSINESS BANKERs . the meaning of PBB - PERSONAL AND BUSINESS BANKING .

Even internal staff sent CV to a mailing address and invite was forwarded for SHL TEST on saturday so i dont think that should cause any controversy afterall your application will not request for any amount to be paid .

Hi,I just got an assessment invite from Stanbic PBB resourcing, can't remember the exact position I applied for,don't think its graduate trainee cos they wrote the test few weeks ago already and graduate trainee wasn't mentioned in the email sent to me,they only said"the position you applied for...",also wondering why the requirement was reduced to a 2:2 since stanbic is known for accepting a 2:1. Lastly can I reshedule the test? Please reply ASAP
