So I got a new car to drive today. Remember I said I drop the one I was using before but see what nature threw at me today below-i was bashed at the back these morning on my way to the airport where I was going to drop of my guy, whose flight was is today by 2:45pm.. First day with the new car, got served a new challenge. On my derby day with the new company, these is what i get dame! Please any idea how much the back light cost? |
peeps4u:sure we will by the grace of the almighty God. He always takes care of his own part of the bargain we just have to meet him half way by putting in the work. Am confident brov that I will achieve mine, am so grateful I have finally dropped that over ripe lemon Nigeria used car my former partner gave me. With that car I will be on the road 2wks the 3rd week am at his mechanic shop.. It consumes fuel like crazy, plus all the challenges I listed earlier. |
peeps4u:Rental bro...... As a matter of fact he brought me into the game when I was having issues at my place of work and needed a new landing pad before relaunching... He remits 30k and has always been Consistent,no Saks as a matter of fact he drive on uber platform. His target is 20k, yes 20kper day and he has 95% success rate in achieving that figure every day of the week. He said its mindset when I asked him how he does it, he said once you focus your mind, it becomes easy to hit it, nature will find a way to bring it your way. Please don't take away the fact that he puts in the time, lots of it if need be. He is leaving for Italy on Saturday. He is going to school.he enrolled for a masters program in Rome business school, so with the one year visa in Italy his wife and kid will come to visit and spend time with him while he works on a strategy to settle down in any parts of Europe. So it's possible to achieve it, that which you have set for yourself that requires finance from these hustle all you got to do is put in the work |
It's really terrible,i really feel for those that commute to there place of work and business through public bus. These two days I had to enter or have been using public bus and like has been hell. We have to squeeze ourself, inhale carbon two oxide (Co) from all these trucks, heat coz no AC.... Men its crazy out here and workers pass through these everyday, if there is traffic transporters increase fare, take advantage.. Wow, I use to do all these and didn't see it as stress but when I tested another, something better and different I now know how difficult that is.. |
I want to share a story about a guy who does uber for a living like us. These guy came into Lagos last year, a pastor and was assigned as my zonal leade and I was to work directly under him.. He needed a place to stay a few weeks later reached out to me and I said sure you can move in with me.. He was struggling for a while, till he completed his DL registration and started these uber hustle. These was last year around August. These guy has a wife a d daughter who are in the UK, he was there too with them briefly before he was sent back home because of fake papers that one so call agent did for him, he didn't know. He was to stay away for 10yrs before he can re-aply. It's over six years now and the little daughter he left behind in the UK is now over 6years old, when he left they just gave birth to her. With these hustle he diligently gave his all, I watch him pay half of his school fees for Rome business school(2500€) pay hostel accommodation 550€, pay 250k to a financial or loan shark to lodge 5M in his account for a month, bought plane ticket, all with these uber hustle. It took a year plus to achieve these with these same hustle that people look with disdain. These job is like a cash cow, that can be fattened(by putting more time, energy, into it) and slaughtered or milked when the time is right. Now we have folks like izzou and others who are gradually pushing there's. Let's not be discourage brov, no matter the challenge, keep your eyes on the goal....... |
deedee44:Sure am. In support of the get together too. Community of like minded people in same business niche is everything |
So am at one fleet management company where I went to have a meeting with one of the manager and the driver I want to take over the car he is driving. What I saw gave me a chill down my spin on the situation of the country bro...... They are having interview for drivers mass, men there is over supply of drivers and under supply of cars to drive. What am seeing in the atmosphere is the employee employer mindset, it's suppose to be a driver car owner partnership under the facilitation of the fleet management company..its a though terrain put here. God please help me to qui PS.. I just drop or return the corolla that I was complaining bitter about, after hanging on for as much as I could- what broke the camel back was when car owner refuse to replace two tires that have twisted, with bomps(coco) and the wires already showing. |
Is it raining on the mainland? VI and Co is flooded.Badore and environ too is flooded. Please let's get report about your area too |
fasa199:Omole phase 1...that area naa nice place to position oh, but sometimes you go wait tire request no go enter...follow your instincts, whats is it telling you? Anytime I use all the knowledge of good areas to position and it fails baba I switch to the inner radar, yes inner radar. |
nwizu042:But wait oh... Baba you wan move too? Chai! No time oh |
Oluwabengz:Hmmmmm! Interesting. Am really interested in topics that has to do with reviews of other brands of cars. It's durability and fuel economy. Cost of maintainance - how much is the shocks, head lamps, side mirrors, number and fenders, AC components, boot catcher, and those little things that normally get spoilt during the cause of rendering ehail services... |
fasa199:Guy all these for only you? |
Ogbunigwe2018:Baba no let the engine capacity deceive you, the car no dey chop fuel. |
peeps4u:But wait oh! These our altitude of not wanting to test new waters, why? If to say dru23 no test civic we for no put am for the least of cars. Also if bymyautos didn't test or try Benz who for know about am for here, anyways my brother it's you call but for safety stick with all the cars they mentioned earlier, but if you want to be a pathfinder, I beg try other cars and give us the testimony here Because the truth is we need more options |
Taxify be sending message that there is surge in lekki phase 11,surulere,ajah,yaba,ikeja,gbagada and the likes that I should come online. Why can't they go drive now? with all these flooded roads. |
deedee44:but seriously nothing dey airport pickups just do the following you are fine Only park in designated car parks-uber drivers prefer parking at mm1/gat (go in, press the machine and the coin comes out take it and just go park and wait for request) If you get a request from mm2 call the person and ask him to stand opposite KFC, spar and tell them your hazard light will be on when you are driving into the mm2. Call them once your driving into mm2 to let them know and to check for the second time Please don't park or stop on the zebra crossing(in mm2) if you do they will clamp your car. If you do all these three you will not have a problem. As for International airport men stay clear these guys dey vex. The reward versus the work and risk that area poses is not worth it. There car park is very far away from arrival and departure, once they see corolla, see your phone hanged men you become a target. PS.. Please don't park along the road(that airport road) oh for any reason |
waks1:You too want to Jakpa! |
Naaa way oh! Omole phase 1 done dissapoint me today oh, since 1:30 wet I touch done the area till now 2:41 no request on both apps. Chai these area wet I dey get long trips to VI or Ikoyi from 12pm to 2pm, today come different anyways I done use am rest small, make i change location go position for another for ikeja. My fear naaa parking spot these one wey all these touts calling themself's local government task force dey on the rampage. No shaking shaa naaa to enter non-major street park. I beg erh aside omole phase 1 which other area for the ogunnisi road man fit position |
mrjaydee:I did a research about the car, Heard it fuel economy is super but the word out there is Volvo dey get electrical problems. The folk I asked is a mechanic that repairs Toyota so what do you expect, but I heard Volvo technicians/mechanic are found around ido area, don't know how legit that is. Cc Mrjaydee how about the parts? The legs, shocks etc and head lamps. Are they cheap to replace |
adsmaster:If buymyauto didn't tell us about the efficiency of his Benz will wouldn't have known. So more options please |
What other cars are we using here for ehailing? We have heard about dru23, Benz, corolla etc. I feel if we get advice from others that are using other brands or model it will help spice up these car thing, reduce the demand on corolla and reduce the barrier to entry for others that are looking at getting a durable car for a moderate fee. One of us here uses ford Mondeo, how's the performance? They are other compact sedan cars with 1.6 liter engine capacity and better fuel economy. Who has tried Opel Astra saloon car? Vauxhall etc Am just trying to shake the tables |
pope191:thanks |
pope191:Pope abeg where akute junction dey? Coming from 3MB. |
pope191:Are you serious? Men am suppose to be at ebenezer close @ akute junction..i guess these traffic will affect me. Ease any alternative route please? Don't know my way around that area |
GAZZUZZ:Gazzuzz baba for president ![]() Baba i beg workshop address or google location make i enroute your place from badore as e dey hot because I will in Akute tomorrow morning by 10am |
tojahh:My brother the man is the go to here when it comes to engine issues, plus he understands the uber hustle and knows what we face hence the reason why I want his two cent. No to carry the car come him shop be that |
Please folks..... Do your all have an idea how much o2 sensor is sold for? Please |
franksam2009:@ Gazzuzz do you copy. Cc gazzuzz cc izzou |
Cc franksam2009 You said you filled your corolla with the exact 3k fuel to check and see if my corolla consumes or not, wow thanks. So these the latest update... I thought about not writing about these issue again and later changed my mind to write because the thread Is for our challenges faced and a thread were we learn from other peoples experiences. So that's why am dropping these. Also have been trying to get the attention of gazzuzz but I haven't gotten it yet. Gazzuzz if you're reading these please let have your two cent and want to do to remedy these. So today i went to do uber inspection for the corolla and the report below shows that My o2 sensor is bad, clutch torque converter circuit wire is tempered with.. So I did a little research to know what the adverse effect of the clutch converter issue will be, ******** How Serious is the Code? A P0740 diagnostic trouble code means that the ECU isn’t in complete control of the torque convertor, so drivability issues are sure to follow. Situated between the transmission and the engine, the torque converter works to equalize the speed by multiplying the torque in order to optimize vehicle performance (increases fuel efficiency and reduces the transmission fluid temperature. Symptoms Symptoms of a P0740 include: Check engine light Delayed, harsh or erratic shifts Engine stalling Transmission shudders/shakes when coming to a stop or accelerating Getting ‘stuck’ in a gear Vehicle won’t move when in gear Decreased fuel economy Overheated transmission Causes Low transmission fluid level Dirty transmission fluid / filter Damaged wiring/connector Faulty torque convertor clutch solenoid / TCC solenoid Faulty torque convertor and/or clutch assembly Internal pressure issue Valve body issue TCM failure Then I think we all know the negative effect of a faulty or damage o2 sensor... |
franksam2009:Check your email frank! |
