Amen. You can try dry tatashe and ata gbigbe. Soak in room temperature water, remove seeds and blend with tomatoes, rodo and lots of onions. It is cheaper compare to fresh tatashe. I used 300 naira dry tatashe and 100 naira ata gbigbe with a handful of fresh rodo, bawa and tatashe to blend a bucketful of tomatoes and it turned out well. We'll keep devising ways to beat this mad inflation.

I was at Ile epo market yesterday and the pepper section was quite scanty. Even the few ones available were too expensive. To cap it, some sellers were out to cheat by padding the tomatoes and habanero buckets.
I almost left there without buying any pepper but I had to encourage myself knowing leaving without picking it means I will pay more at home.

No noticable taste as such because you can't use too much otherwise you won't like the concentrated feel.
I learnt it is medicinal and healthy just like the category of garlic and ginger. I mostly use it to season protein but today I was tired of white, jollof or fried rice so i opted for turmeric to change the look. It worked cos my children have eaten twice and begging for more, guess the colour did the magic.

Turmeric rice, gizzard sauce and left over vegetable.

Very wrong to add oil to spaghetti while boiling, oil add to water always stay at the top, so serve no purpose. Always wait for your water to boil before you put in your spaghetti.

Make sure you don't over cook your spaghetti.. if the time on the sachet is 10 minutes, then cook yours like 7 or 8 minutes.

If you must add oil, add after you drain the spaghetti and toss, this prevent the spaghetti for sticking.. This process can make your spaghetti stay like two days in the refrigerator before use.
