1 John 5:20 - We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the EVIL ONE.

This is funny because there are numerous verses in the same bible that tell us that not only is god in charge, he is in fact directly controlling everthing as he wishes. Some examples:

Psalm 22:28

28 for dominion belongs to the Lord
and he rules over the nations.


Psalm 115:3

3 Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever pleases him.


1 Chronicles 29:11

I am talking about god's characteristics. We already know he shares a lot with humans and animals especially males in terms of senses and bodily fonctions. We know he can smell. Infact he loves the smell of burnt animals and like a junkie would even kill if he doesn't get his daily dose. We know he can speak. We know he can hear. We know he can see. We know he has emotions, like love, jealosy, anger, etc. We also know he loves fighting and can be touched. We know he gets tired.

But there are also multitude of things we don't know about him and wonder if his shared characteristics are limited to those we are aware of. For example, does he eat? Does he urinate? Does he think or worry? Does he have sexxual desires? Does he have noses? ears? eyes? How many and where? Can he fly? Etc.

Have you pondered on these things or are you still limiting your thoughts?

Why sacrifice for others and make anyone else's life better if both you and the person you are helping will eventually die in the end?

The bible tells us that there is more to us than our physical bodies. Our souls are far much more important and that is who Christ really cares about. It is for the sake of our souls that Christ sacrificed His life. It doesn't profit us anything if we live in luxury all our lives and then in the end we lose our souls. Christ did not die to make our lives more comfortable. He died to give us something much more important than physical bodily pleasure. This is why Paul can say "for me to live is Christ and to die is gain."

God is not a stranger to our pain. There are things we may not understand today but on the last day we shall see God and everything will be made clear to us. Nothing can seperate us from the love He has for us. Not sickness, trials, hardship, not even death. God's love by far outweighs all.
