The same Enyeama that tribal warlords would die has had a running battle with NFF and previous coaches before Oliseh came. Intolerance coaxed him to call it quit. I know it pains to be deposed just like that, but national interest should come first after all, his track records were outstanding. The end of a matter is better than the beginning. |

Oliseh remains the head coach and the least he expected at this point is this needless distraction. The situation may have been mismanaged, but I expect Enyeama to toe the path of tolerance and let the whole differences slide without bringing the coach to disrepute. Enyeama I love, but I'm solidly behind my coach to succeed. The coach should see this as challenges he needs to overcome to forge ahead. Good things a times attract some measure of opposition that must be conquered. |

I hope the senate will not bite more than they can chew. The constitution remain supreme for endorsing or rejecting ministerial nominees and not this schemes Dino and they rest are playing out at. If a ministerial nominee meets all requirements as contain in the constitution, any other thing by the senate is arrogating an unnecessary power to themselves and an attempt to hit the polity and to scuffle the President's good intentions. This is a wake up call for Nigerians to show equal passion in the senate election as the presidential election. Because at best, these are men who over the years have shown insatiability for power and money than the very affair of the country. |

I stay up north as a Christian from Enugu, and it's a common knowledge that northerners are more considerate to others. Nevertheless, religion seems to be their major short coming, but beside that, they are a simple, down to earth people. I consider myself a Northerner having being given birth here. Some good igbos can really be good if you are fortunate to find one, but not the idle ones here who from the stable of their caves will invade this forum as termites to create instability. I love Enyeama from the heart, but this unnecessary distraction from him may have a ripple effect on the effectiveness of the coach and the crew What happen to discipline and tolerance. Just last week in church, a member was appointed as my departmental head even though I was much more committed and also the oldest serving member in that same place. It didn't take anything from me. Life calls for tolerance, that's all. Vincent should learn to demonstrate humility, otherwise all his glory days will be replaced with history of arrogance. The Americans in Iraq suffered more casualties mainly from road side bombs amidst their military capabilities. Those throwing jabs at Oshiomole have not realised the magnitude of the nation economic challenges largely due to how it was mismanaged and publicly raped by the last government. It's easy to sit in the comfort of your home and post trash as an opposition, but that's lame. The obvious fact is the recklessness of Jonathan's government which has plunged this country and it's economy in this mess, and it cannot be wished away just like that, at least not by responsible men like the Edo governor. Somebody must be responsible and must be made to pay for it. Sometimes it worries me how we respond to serious national discourse with lack of understanding. Anyone would have expect a worthy rebuttal worth reading, but here all you add to your vocabulary are series of unprinted names without substance. It's really a shame. |

Suddenly, everyone has created a plat form to cast aspersion on the popularity of the President. If these long speeches were meant to slow PMB on his intensity to fight corruption, sorry Mr. Kukah, you have come too late. Same hysteria that greeted Jonathan who left no legacy but entrenched corruption, is the same excitement that greeted PMB with the hope that his antecedent known to fight corruption will prevail. No what anyone says, corruption remains endemic that must be do away with to have a nation of our dream. The Chinese Kukah quoted, didn't arrive at this economic greatness without fighting coruption, so while would anyone begin to attack Mr. President just a few months of his election? I smell something sinister, a ploy by those in the regalia of reverence to discredit the President's stance on corruption. Indeed, corruption will definitely fight back. What a speech! This is the first time I will avail myself to listen to a President's speech on independence day and I wasn't disappointed. Very precise, brief and straight to the point. We now have a nation. With the foundation of good governance the President is laying, subsequent government after him will have no choice but to follow suit. As a nation, it's apparent that we are heading somewhere greater. The signs are there for any unbigoted and detribalized mind to see. May i humbly used this opportunity to thank all those including myself who defiled the scorching sun and make it possible to elect this gentleman as our President. Surely, we made the right decision. The era of unfilled promises, looting and brazing ineptitude that freely and commonly grace our political scape is over. Those fighting the present government, are who were direct or indirect beneficiaries of the failed previous government and would want to maintain the status quo, but we must resist them and ensure we make them eat there garbages whenever they spew their garbages. This is the duty we owe the good conscience Nigeria who may be too naive and simple and could be sway easily. The army of wolves and dragons are out here in their numbers from a particular region to discredit our very own out of shear hate of tribal disparity which count less for good governance, and we must be watchful to counter them blow to blow, jaw to jaw, and leave no room to allow them carry on with this gospel of falsehood. Nigeria is destined to be great and as a nation, we can proudly say, for the first time after years of backwardness due to poor decisions and imposition born out tribalism and ethnicity, we have made the right choice in electing PMB, a foundation of good governance that will set the stone for the realisation of our destined greatness.
