Same way Diezani was born with a silver spoon but succeeded in milking the nation dry. Have you ever wonder why those on the corridors of power are never relentless about picking available political posts? The love of money is insatiable, once it sets in, the quest for it is unabated.

It's only normal to be nervous judging that he has never appeared before the senate. But what will be important is the experience and competence he will bring in.

Good oratory presentation is o.k, but in addition, workable, practicable skills should not be overlooked.

Over all, Bubu has proven to mean business and ready for governance. When was the last time we stay glued to our t.v set viewing ministerial nominees?

This is clearly evident of the change we clamoured for and hope this will translate to meaningful developments.

You pawns keep spewing trash on nairaland, is Alams the only criminal in Nigeria? Obasanjo is there roaming freely after all the billions of dollars he stole from our collective wealth, nobody has harassed or prosecuted him. IBB is there in Minna upon all the atrocities he commited, as free as a bird and yet nobody has ever cared to point accusing fingers at them. Should I include the likes of Tinubu and Co.? We all know their antecedents. Pls let the Governor-General of Ijaw Land rest in peace. Even the bible said "for the living know they shall die, but the dead know nothing" so u guys can keep insulting, wishing and harassing on NL. The man is dead and gone,we should all look forward to the future of this great country Nigeria.
And your idiocy is beyond redemption. What was President Jonathan elected for? To pardon political thieves? We can't justify Alams corruption on the basis of IBB and co who have not been caught. Your reasonings are flaw.

[quote author=obiak4 post=38963409]alams was horded to death by the uk and nigerian govt. Fact
you are not in bayelsa state and you would never understand the bitterness, people of the ijaw nation have for buhari now.
Yesterday was the first morn day for alamco and the general feeling is this: he was killed by the fg whether you take it or not
yesterday would have been a bloodbath for forces stationed in bayelsa if not for the intervention of some ''people''
but that does not make alamco a saint, he did stole but he massively developed his state during his tenure as gov.
What about joshua dariya of plateau what happen to his case with efcc? Under the carpet i guess

With reasoning like this, it is no surprising why Bayelsa remains the way it is. You blame others for your misfortune but yourself. In one breath you affirmed Alam was a thief, in another breath you accused the government of being responsible for his death. How? For convicting a criminal? Such a confused child. Unexposed, clannish youths like you are they very problem of the region. You don't hold your leaders to be accountable, and when someone does, you rant.

Bunch of rebels who lack comprehension how government works. You are lucky your rebellious mind didn't push you to touch any of securities posted there, you would have learnt a bitter lesson of your life.

To think that a world renown criminal is celebrated even in death leave much to be desire.
PoliticsRe: Okonjo-iweala Backs Buhari On Corruption War by advocates: 8:03pm On Oct 13, 2015
Her commentary didn't outrightly inferred that the Gej government was corrupt but tagged her decision to join the government as unwise because of the corruption accusation pointed at her.

However, and more surprisingly is her inability to detect and arrest the unprecedented corrupt practices of money laundry that perpetuated the very government she served. It takes a certain Sanusi to unearth this monstrous cancer, a job she 'unwisely accepted' (an economic lord) to discharged.

The question is whether she succeeded in her ministerial quest to tame the corruption she accepted to fight or failed in her missionary journey to salvaged the country from the nemesis of corruption. The former is more glaring that we can attest to.

All this saving face is simply an act to retain her international reputations which to many of us is nothing but a celebration of mediocrity that has added nothing meaningful to our economy.

Russia remains the mother of terrorist act. Quite unthinkable how we soon have gotten Russia's forceful occupation of Georgia and the terror war it's currently waging against Ukraine by proxy.

No one is undermining Russia's military capability, but sometimes it takes more than brandishing a newly acquired weapons to perfect your interventionist or middle ness. This is where America come handy.

The post war event and activities about building bridges, restoring hope and capacity is a challenge that the Russians are completely unfamiliar with.

Diplomatically, United State did what was right forming neutral and ensured the over zealous bombing campaign of Bashar Arafat was contained by providing military support and logistics for its target.

Good that Russia move in to dislodged the Isisl that unfortunately infiltrate the Syrian free armies fighting the tyrannic Bashar's government, but to what extent or to whose benefit?

Take it or not, Bashar Arafat had plans to plague the Israeli before the unfortunate befalls him. Now Russia's support is widely known for personal gain and not for regional interest.

We are in a democracy and not military junta where perceived or alleged corrupt public offices are bounded to prison without prior investigating and prosecuting. This scenario demand proper investigation. Furthermore, cases beyond reasonable doubt would have to be built that are good enough to send the accused to jail.

You called someone clueless while yours is legendary. The guy you quoted spoke glowingly about the accountability openness this government has embraced an event never adopted by any past government. Please, stop with the foolish propaganda, power supply is terrible right now, and has been since around the middle of September. We are now frequently going 24 hours without so much as a flash of light in the Lekki area, something which i've never seen during my 2 and a half years in Nigeria. I'm not affected by it because I am fully off-grid with Solar Power and have 24 hours light, but it remains a fact and I'm surrounded by homes that have had their generators on constantly over the weekend.

Stop with the propaganda and misinformation.

Regards

Uvie
Suddenly you are going 24hrs without light. I didn't quite heard you commending the government for the period of time that light was stable and almost remained 48hrs without so much as a blink. Now that report has it about the damage done to one of the power station resulting in drop of supply, you have pop from your hiding to display your penchant hatred for the government.

A quick reminder, this a four(4) months old government and so, there is no basis for condemnation. So far, 4months has given us something to cheer about beyond what we had in the last 6 years or so.

The man Nebo who felt he knows it all when it comes to power is obviously not happy that a more competent permanent secretary in the power ministry is doing a better job with almost no budget.

That he got his chieftaincy from Ekiti says it all. That he also dive into politics of marginalisation in his last statement speaks volume of his hypocritical stance against the government. And to think he was left out of the ministerial appointments may have doubled his frustration. Ride on Bubu.

A bear truth like this will afford us the opportunity to know where the problem lies and how to tackle it.

You will agree with me that, so far no one among the military has complained of not being well equipped. This is the fortunate thing about this government, and in comparism, the Buratai regime has limited the efforts of the urchins to cowardly planting bombs in soft location, something that was a far cry from the pot belly previous chiefs of army staff.

The era of sacking military from the Barracks is no longer visible as Burutai has proven more competent and capable to see to the demise of the rag tag books.

We know the activities of moles and cowards among the Nigeria army is the major set back in winning this riff rat terrorists but God willing, they will be fetch and dealt with.

What has that got to do with the issue at hand? And after many years, you still blamed the Americans for your backwardness. Elaborate the 'worse Saudi Arabia' as you pointed out. As for the Israeli/Palestinian skirmishes, it is insensitive for anyone to accuse the U.S for aiding the Israeli against a terrorist outfit like Hamas and Palestinian liberation front. All through the several fracas, terrorist were reported to throw the first punches, is there on record and U.S being a long time allied of the Israeli must rally round their own.

Will you be happy if America comes to Nigeria and start arming and propping up boko haram against the Nigerian state and people?

Cos that's what's happening in syria. Russia are the noble ones here.
How has the Americans sponsored Isis? Americans were only interested in ousting Bashir after it became clear that he was waging a campaign of Genocide against those that oppose him. Before this time, Isis were only in Iraq fighting to dispose the Iraqi government.

I wonder how chaotic the world would have been today without the interventionist role played by United state and their policing duty. History will vindicate America for its diplomacy and mediator in many countries affair that would have led to total breakdown.

So unfortunate how brutal governments like Russia and China that has cases of human abuses suddenly become a hero to many unformed people here.

U.s couldn't have trained isis knowing U.s stance against aiding terrorism. We could readily say that Isis later had access to the free Syrian army, an act that America had little power over.

For the avoidance of doubt, the dominance of APC senators and the constitution that clearly spells out how a minister should be endorsed is enough guidance to put an end to the wasteful ventures these PDP vampires are sponsoring.

The truth is that, Amaichi will continue to remain a bad dream that needed to be put off by the PDP, not after the single one man show he displayed that crippled the umbrella party.
