I'm wondering whether I should do my medicals here in Nigeria before going to the UK because over there, the medicals cost about £350 / ₦280k, while in Nigeria, it will cost me about ₦50k. What are your thoughts?

Not many people coming to Canada know so much about how it works here, and it is just humane to communicate nicely with people. It is not that easy to get a place from outside Canada. You can book an Airbnb, as oluayebenz stated and start your aggressive search, and Kijiji and Facebook marketplace is your plug.

Just look for one affordable Airbnb within your budget, at least to have a roof over your head, then search from there. It gives you opportunity to inspect what you would renting.

Rents are paid first of every month and most rents kickstart first of the month. Plan your schedule to checkout of your Airbnb at the end of a month.
