IRCC often picks out bank statements that look suspicious and verifies with the bank if they were issued by them. Unfortunately, many agents use fake bank statements, and you cannot expect the bank to confirm issuing a fake statement. Some of these fake statements are even visibly flawed, with many typographical errors .

I helped someone order GCMS notes in december after their agent told them the visa was still in process since January 2024. However, the notes revealed that a fake bank statement was used to his application, and he had been banned since July 2024. This person then unknownly applied for a USA visa in october , and the visa officer asked what happened to his Canada application. He responded that it was still under process by canada embassy . The officer then said, 'Sorry, we cannot issue you a visa.

The VFS Biometric has been done since September 2023 and she's yet to receive any form of communication from VFS or the Embassy. Whenever I ask about it, I was told it takes this long and the Embassy has a back up log or something. Please can someone advise if this is entirely true and if there's anything one can do?

Your wife is a PR holder and requires medical attention and family support, so you will get the visa even faster. However, consider applying for PR yourself, so you won't need a visa in the future.

You are applying for a visit visa, and the visa officer may not consider it essential travel, such as visiting family or studying in Canada, especially as a new traveler. Seeking sponsorship to fund a visit visa might not make sense to the visa officer.

Like I said, if you don't like Canada, don't go there or leave the place if you are already there. We are all adults here and we can make our own decisions in life.

You mentioned applying in October with your family, and two weeks ago you said you received a mail to upload your wife’s payslip even though she’s not the main applicant, but today public holiday you received a request for police character and tax clearance; however, on November 2, you mentioned an upcoming biometrics appointment, which contradicts your claim that biometrics were completed on October 4—so what type of visa did you apply for: visit, student, or PR? And did you applied urself or via an agent?

Just to correct some things, the law says you can't be out of school for more than 150days. That's 5 months.
I don't know about your friend you put out here, but as long as you didn't violate the conditions of your study permit which are you must be enrolled and actively studying with the DLI that brought you into the country, and you aren't out of school for more than 5 months and didn't work during that period the person was out of school, he would have no issue with his PGWP.

Please note, the individual is not my friend; this is my error. I meant to write 5 months, not 3 months, but he was out of school for an entire semester without informing the IRCC and working due to financial difficulties . After changing schools and completing a new course, his post-graduate work permit application was refused. He sought asylum, but his application was unsuccessful this month . He has now been asked to vacate the hotel provided for asylum seeker in Toronto by February 2025, along with others in his asylum group. The issue is that I came to Canada last year on a study visa of 3year. While I was doing the processing naira to cad rate was stable, and I could afford my tuition. After my application, naija happened and everything scattered. I was left with either travelling here when I did or staying back in Nigeria. I decided to come here...I was admitted to a university which was crazy expensive. To cut long story short. I had to voluntarily withdrawn last year. About a month into my program and I was working.. put money together and I moved to the Atlantic region and was able to resume school this yr Sept. I know the rules and yes I have been out of school for a year. My current program is in demand in my province. I just want to know what's the way forward now that am back in school. My program now is a 1yr program and I will be done by spring next yr.

Let’s clarify one thing first, so others don’t make the same mistake. Dropping out of school after just one month shows you were unprepared for the financial challenges of studying in Canada. Let’s set the exchange rate aside for now.

Secondly, you broke several rules. You cannot be out of school for more than three months, and even if you are, you must notify IRCC and are not allowed to work during that period. While some students managed to avoid consequences last year, schools have now started filing official reports, especially the University of Manitoba. Last year, this school required no tuition deposit, which was the main reason many students applied just to land in Canada, often following the advice of visa agents. You even asked the same question about this situation when you applied for your visa and again after you got it, so you were fully aware of the risks. What happened to all this advice and information? This stricter enforcement this year has made the situation even more challenging. Now, even to change schools, you must apply for a new study permit.

I know a student who did exactly what you did last year. He was out of school for even fewer months and then changed schools. However, after completing his program this year, his postgraduate work permit (PGWP) was refused. Instead of seeking proper legal advice like you doing now , a poorly informed quack individual advised him to claim asylum—a highly flawed approach to solving a PGWP rejection. His case was expedited, and just 3 months after applying for asylum he was giving very fast asylum hearing date with ircc offical present to add salt to his injury , his claim was denied because it was clearly weak. He is now on appeal, but given the current circumstances, it’s unlikely he will win.

Since you are now in a new school, the record of what you have done since arriving in Canada will significantly impact your future PGWP or PR applications. Seek professional advice immediately.l wish you all the best

It triggers nothing because Global Case Management System (GCMS) notes from IRCC are often processed by clerical employees, many of whom work part-time mostly 1 year contract. Their primary role is to match your data with the information you provided, retrieve your file, and send it to you. Their temporary ID number is usually noted in the file. In most cases, the individuals processing these files are not IRCC case officers.

You cannot say it is a meaningless protestest yet,the last work permit extension in 2024 was from this type of protest and spread to some other provinces and immigration policy changes from IRCC.

With the election approaching and potentially an early election on the horizon, I see no chance of a PGWP extension, especially at a time when many Canadian youth are unable to find a job. The Canadian voter base is not in favour of the current immigration situation, and with the current low ratings of the Liberal Party, there’s a strong possibility of a loss in the upcoming election. They will likely do everything they can to please voters. I can bet you that they will introduce harsher immigration policies to regain voter confidence, rather than extend policies that would favour any particular group.

I see many international students sleeping in tents in the cold in Brampton, all in the name of meaningless protests. The rules are very clear: PGWP cannot be extended, and studying in Canada is never a guarantee of permanent residency. Until people recognize this fact and plan accordingly, many will continue to be stranded after paying those exorbitant tuition fees!

I don't believe this. Your agent claims your application is pending since July 2023. Pls Request your application number and UCI to order GCMS notes. Some agents use this trick to hide a 5-year ban by pushing applicants to abandon their application. Alternatively, ask for the confirmation paper generated online after applying; it should still be available for download on your portal and contains the information needed to order GCMS notes.

Prince Edward Island (PEI) is a province in Canada, and like all provinces, it follows the immigration policies set by the federal government. Regarding the Visitor Visa and working in PEI, a Visitor Visa for Canada does not allow you to work and cannot be converted to a work visa under current regulations, including in Prince Edward Island. The person who advised you otherwise is deceiving you. Even many students with work permits struggle to find work to pay for tuition, and some students drop out of school due to lack of funds. Please connect with honest people to avoid being stranded with fake advice!

As spouse of international student in canada applying for visit visa to visit spouse in canada , the visit visa will only be issue based on the validity of the student permit of the husband/wife in canada not on passport validity.
