One more thing please....

Is it possible one can retrieve UCI number if an agent applied on someone’s behalf and didn’t let the person know if he was granted a visa or not.
Your UCI is on the biometric letter or the agent collect the biometic letter back from you after biometric atlest that not login and password ?

Thank you so much for the response! I think we may be able to find a tie if we look deeply. Airline policy on how many babies one passenger can carry.. I'm having multiple babies and I and my husband can't carry them all back home on any airline.. If you know of any that doesn't require one adult per baby, please let me know. I appreciate you!
You cannot buy this type of ticket online. You need to contact the airline directly and be prepared to buy a full ticket. Note that only one infant may be seated in the lap of each ticketed accompanying adult, and the infant must be included in the reservation. Additional infants under 2 years old must be ticketed and occupy an infant car seat in a separate aircraft seat. Most airlines accept this, but you have to contact them ahead of time and request to buy an extra seat for an infant.

order your GCMS or cbsa notes, but do not be surprised if they contain the same refusal genetic reasons, with no detailed explanation provided by the visa officer in the notes.

Sorry i dont seem to understand your reply, yes i have a wife and a child in canada( PPR)
Do not worry yourself, just carry both passports to the visa center. You will be fine with or without any webform. Your case is not about a missing or stolen passport. My guess was perfect and you matches the category of approval I have seen recently . Canada is not smiling now with visa approval for visitors applicant . The refusal rate is too high! Thanks and no thanks to many who claim asylum on a visit visa, and we all see the effect now.

Hello Nairalanders!
So, I have a Canadian tourist visa gotten last year and I'm currently pregnant with the intent of going to give birth in Canada. I would need my mum to be there with me to help me as it's a multiple pregnancy but she doesn't have the visa.
We intend for my mum's best friend's daughter who is a PR to provide her with a letter of invitation and POF as her sponsor. Her best friend has been in Canada for a while now helping her daughter with the kids and we know the two besties will be happy to see each other.
My mum is a 66 years old widow who is being taken care of by her children.
Please, how do we ensure that she is not denied this visa as I can't cope by myself and definitely need help (airline policy) when returning with the babies.
Your mom can apply and has a chance based on her age, but where is the home tie here? She is a widow, not working, and being taken care of by her children. Your best approach is to include a letter from a church or any organization that she is committed to. Secondly, what do you mean by airline policy? I have seen single mothers travel for birth purposes to the USA and Canada, even to Mexico and Chile, with no issues.

Also I have siblings in Canada, they have finished their masters with work permit awaiting their PR, can I write we want to visit them? At least we can stay in their house for the period and this will reduce the cost of accommodation.

Please advice
Yes, you will need an invitation letter from your siblings in Canada, along with a copy of their identity card and proof of accommodation.

Thanks
Tell your friend to send the webform about the tourist visa application delay, as it is beyond the 6-month processing time. However, rest assured that Canada IRCC prioritizes student applications for now as the economy needs the students' money.

Good morning

I want to apply for VV for me and my wife. Aside our salary accounts we have joint accounts and plenty money have passed through the joint account. I helped my brother to build his house so I used the joint account and another personal account to receive money for the building.

Can I use that joint account and how can I justify the huge inflow and outflow in the account
You can use your joint account for the Canada visit visa application. Include six months of bank statements. Write a brief letter explaining that the large transactions were for your brother’s house construction, supported by related documents. Also, include statements from your salary accounts and employment letters. Provide a detailed travel itinerary and a cover letter summarizing your visit's purpose and assurance of return.

Focus your energy on positivity , stop blaming asylum seekers for any downfall
Thank you for your perspective on this matter. It's important to clarify that the rejection of a visitor visa is not a downfall for any traveler. Can you honestly say you plan to return if your visa is granted? If not, you are part of the problem. I have no issue with any asylum seeker; it is the judge's job to decide your case. However, their abuse of visa terms is affecting other honest travelers now. That's the fact. Accept or reject it, or term it positivity or negativity; that's up to you.
TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by affoncad: 9:58pm On May 19, 2024
Based on the recent high refusal rate of visitor visas and what I have seen in GCMS notes, it seems that IRCC does not really disclose detailed reasons for visitor visa refusals beyond repeating the same generic phrase: "Your current employment situation does not show that you are financially established," especially for first-time traveler applicants, even if you show a bank statement with 40 million. This trend may be influenced by the large number of asylum applicants who previously obtained visitor visas, now affecting recent processing methods. In contrast, student visa refusal notes tend to be more detailed.

I will suggest that anyone looking to reapply for a Canadian visitor visa should first consider taking a trip to another holiday destination, such as the UK. Currently, obtaining a UK tourist visa is easier because of new rules where asylum seekers landing in the UK are sent to Rwanda. As a result, the British are more likely to issue visitor visas. Spending one or two weeks in the UK before reapplying for a Canadian visitor visa could improve your chances, as it demonstrates genuine travel intentions rather than repeatedly applying to visit the same destination.BUT as it stand now Canada is gradually making the visitor visa more difficult based on the current refusal rate! if anybody want to argue please if you have seen any gcms note within the last 2 month and well informed about the current asylum criss in Canada then you will understand the bases of your argument.

My undergraduate son got approved last October and travelled 4 weeks ago. Toronto Pearson was POE. He was not asked to show any document just LOI and passport with visa. He was given study permit without any question.
However months before then, he has been coached severally how to answer any questions. To avoid any issue, First semester tuition was paid and receipt obtained from the school. I also printed soft copies of all the POF document used for the application last October and also requested a reference letter and updated statement from the bank showing some funds, but far lesser than the one initially submitted. Bottom line, prepare well and cover all geound8, but you might be lucky nothing will be asked.

The current job situation in Canada is critical in 2024, and you cannot depend on working in Canada to pay your school fees. It is so sad that after wasting time and money, many nigerian students cannot afford school fees and drop out of school to claim asylum, which the government has been cracking down on. Thank you for your input, concerning the bolded, we are not applying for her PPR yet because we are both doing some things here that means we cannot afford to relocate to Canada permanently at this time.
SHe is undergoing a postgraduate research while I am currently overseeing a business.

We are both just interested in a 3 weeks visit to Canada at this moment to visit friends and sight see...

So would you say that her being a student and her status as a future PR is sufficient for her visa or do you have any other suggestions ?

Thank you for your time.
That means, technically, if you are a Canadian citizen living abroad with your wife, she can apply for a visitor visa, stating that you plan to visit Canada together and then return, since you are not currently living in Canada. You should provide evidence of your marriage and that you live together, such as photos of your wedding with family and friends, evidence of your business, proof that she is enrol in a postgraduate program then explain why she is not applying for permanent residence (PR) now, and outline how you plan to fund the trip, such as for a honeymoon, birthday, or another reason, and then return together to your present location. Either way, the system will recognize her as the spouse of a Canadian citizen. However, nobody can say how fast the process will be since she is not applying for PR and a visitor visa together.

Hi everyone, I need your suggestions and experienced advise based on the profie of me and my wife below.
i am a Canadian citizen currently living in Nigeria for more than 1 year, I got married to my wife some months ago. My wife is a postgraduate student in one of the federal universities in Nigeria.

We know about the sponsorship process but we do not want sponsorship for now as I am currently still here in NIgeria attending to some personal issues.

My wifes birthday is coming up in a few months time and I am planning a month getaway to Canada for the 2 of us so basically whats the suggestion in how to go about applyiing for a visit visa for my wife.

I am worried that the stundentship will not be enough a proof that she has ties to NIgeria, on the flip side since she is eligible to apply for PR in the future, I am wondering if I add a note that we are aware that abusing the visitor visa if granted will affect her chances at PR in future so we wouldnt be abusing it.

i am her sponsor and have a balance of over 50,000cad in cash to show as proof of funds.

YOur advise is very much appreciated all.
The current processing time for a visitor visa is now six months. If she applies via the visitor route, IRCC does not classify birthdays as emergencies. While her studentship is not an issue, the main concern is why she is not applying for spousal sponsorship, as IRCC has prioritized family reunification.

On May 26, 2023, IRCC announced new measures to strengthen family reunification, including faster temporary resident visa processing so that families can be together sooner while they wait for their permanent residence to be finalized. According to these measures, visitor visa applications will be processed within 30 days if you apply for permanent residence through spousal sponsorship.

This means that if you apply for permanent residence via spousal sponsorship, which typically has a processing time of about one year, and then apply for a visitor visa, the visitor visa application will be processed within 30 days. This approach can significantly expedite the process of reuniting with your spouse in Canada.

and no where it stated you need to be in canada to sponsor the PR for your wife

You can be a sponsor if:

1.You are 18 years of age or older;
2.A Canadian citizen, permanent resident living in Canada, or person registered under the Canadian Indian Act;
3.You live in Canada or are a Canadian citizen planning to return to the country;
4.You are not receiving social assistance for reasons other than a disability;
5.You can provide for your basic needs, those of your spouse or partner and, if applicable, those of dependent children.

I have lived long enough in Canada to see many situation, and the idea that your friend paid $5,000 for a job seems suspicious. It is not customary to pay for job in Canada, and with the current demand for Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIA), if someone tells you they are being sold for $5,000, then that smaller price alone is a bigger red flag but under normal situation You should not need to pay anyone for a job, and it's important that we convey the truth to our community. Some nigerians will arrive in Canada on visit visa and claim asylum to receive a work permit, but then falsely tell their friends back home that they changed their status to a work permit. Unfortunately, 98% of nigerian who come to Canada on visit visa hoping to obtain an LMIA and switch to a work permit either get scammed or end up claiming asylum ..with the current job situation in canada if any company throw advert for 20 health care job ,l can assure you that they will see over 100 applicant with full work permit tomorrow at their office doorstep so i leave the gambling to you to accept the fact or see it as discouragement on your lmia chase as others do and later get stranded on the asylum route.

I would advise u appeal it on a compassionate ground.
Explain to the visa officer how extremely important to travel with your baby based on the age and the motherly care needed.
You can only ask for reconsideration of the visa application because it is a visit visa, not an emergency. IRCC can approve or reject your request because it is not a resident visa or a failed asylum claim, so an appeal on compassionate grounds does not apply to this case!

My program starts on September 3rd. Do I have enough time to obtain the student visa, or should I wait for the outcome of the visitor visa first? I would greatly appreciate your advice on this matter.

Good arugment but How do you get a closed work permit if you are not employed? "Knocking at your door" is a metaphor. Another big issue is that there is no way to confirm if the LMIA is real or fake until you apply for a work permit. If it's fake, you get a ban, and it's also a closed work permit. Some people will get the work permit after payment to agent only to discover there is no real job available. Then, the Canada Revenue Service will come knocking at your door to pay taxes based on the work permit you got, but there's no real job. Shine ur face well!

Because of the four children, she can apply for visitors extension and qualify for a visitors record. She has a very good justification.
"Sir, that is not how the law operates. The children are neither Canadian citizens nor permanent residents. When she got the visa, she knew the rules and should be prepared to follow them. The rules state that the spouse of a student who is not pursuing a Master's or PhD cannot live in Canada. Additionally, you explain how those kids will attend school and will make provision for child care and you will return to ur home country to continue working that what you stated when you apply visa . Extending her stay to take care of the kids is classified as child care in Canada, which is considered work. Even if the extension of her visitor status is granted, it could affect her work permit or future application when the spouse gets a PGWP. The rules are changing, and students need to be careful. Some students are currently being denied PGWPs because they did not complete their studies within the term of their visa as stated when applying for the visa.

The mass approval of applications in 2022 and 2023 has backfired, resulting in a greater influx of asylum seekers. If you follow the news, you will see that it has become a political issue in Canada, with the opposition using it against the government. This approval method is seen as the main cause of the thousands of asylum seekers now in Canada. The opposition is calling for reform of the asylum process to make it faster and to speed up case processing and deportation. I am 100% sure that the mass approval of visit visa method will never happen again. Instead, they will likely opt for refunding application fees, which the opposition party said should have been done to avoid the current chaos and the associated costs for the government. With only one year until the federal election and current public opinion toward immigration , the current government will not take that risk again!

Madam did you use an agent? Or u did it yourself?
The process of obtaining a student visa is relatively straightforward, but it requires substantial funding. Many schools now mandate the payment of the first semester's fees upfront. Additionally, affordable career colleges have stop recuirting international student due to the new rules, and the idea of working to pay tuition is increasingly challenging due to the current job market in Canada, the high cost of living, and the 20-hour work limit for students. Therefore, if you plan to study in Canada, it's crucial to be well-prepared financially. I've observed many students dropping out due to a lack of funds. Despite these challenges, the student and express entry routes remain the best options for relocating to Canada.
