Data page of international passport

Previous visas
Statement of account (4.3m) - my sponsor transferred 4m to my account and stated in her sponsorship letter that it's for my travel expenses and upkeep while in Canada for the duration of my study period (1 year)
I was not working but I stated in my sop that I am currently into mobile catering, 'make up' and a fashion designer which are all Bourne out of passion (I didn't even add any form of evidence)

I didn't pay any fees because I had till December to pay. I'll go ahead and pay the required fee to confirm my seat (I'll need help here please because I don't know how it's done now since form A has been barned)
I submitted my application on the 6th of October, I don't know when I passed medicals because I was not notified (I used paper route). Approval mail came in today.

How I tackled my 1st refusal reasons:
It was HRM in centennial college. I was refused based on:
Travel History
Family ties in Canada and country of residence
Personal assets and financial status
Purpose of visit
Current employment situation.

I was denied in November last year.
For travel history: I traveled to Dubai, South Africa, Ghana, kenya, (Jerusalem-Italy-Greece-this was a promo advertised to my mom's coy by a travel agency for 610k to the 3places so we jumped at it)

Family ties: I added my siblings and dads birth certificates, certificate of origin & intl passport data page and also stated in my sop that after my study program I would return to my home country to be closer to my family (na so lol) and then I added my sponsors 2nd land documents. For financial status, I added my account and also stated the transfer from my sponsor to my account in my sop.

Purpose of visit: i studied computer science in school and went for HRM but I guess I was wrong (I actually thought doing a PGD was beneficial to those who wanted to change careers but maybe it's not the same with Canada) so I opted for a related course in computer science. I stated in my sop how the course will be beneficial to me academically and in my home country.

Current employment situation: I noticed it was because I had no work experience in HRM so I included all my past employment letters from companies where I worked in their IT dept. I also included my past IT certification course certificates. I don't know if that helped.

I was able to do all these because of all I learnt on this forum especially from the gurus michV & co.

Well that's all I did. My current course is for 8months and I'm told ild have to do another course after this if I want 3years work permit...arrrrrgh. TBH, this is why I wanted UOIT because the course I opted for was for one year and it's msc, I could have been done in one year but I'm not complaining, I still thank God for this opportunity.

please I'll need help on how to go about in paying my fees o...Abeg don't abandon me + any Durham college applicant for winter 2017?? Please let's rub minds, accommodation and all.

I wish all TRV hopefuls the best. Don't give up, it will come out positive. Amen.

God Bless you all and sorry for my long post.

Congratulations.

Hello House.
I really don't get it...why do people say going for a pgc/d is not an upgrade from b.sc & so the VO wld frown at your application if you have a b.sc & have now opted to go for a pgd. From what I understand pgc/d is an advanced learning program & a POSTgraduate qualification awarded AFTER a university degree. Even when applying for a pgd program, one of the admission requirement is a university transcript so Please I wld really like to understand why a VO wld frown at ones application because he/she is going for a pgd after gaining a b.sc...anyone pls.

Hello House..
Please I'm asking this question on behalf of a friend.
He got admission into Durham college for winter 2017 but got the admission letter in sept 2016. However he applied for his visa in oct. Now the issue he's being scared of is that 'on his acceptance letter, it was stated that fees must be received by dec 1st 2016 to secure his seat' He actually applied without paying anything because of d whole problems in fee payment with banks & he didn't want to waste more time so he went ahead to apply for his visa. My qtn now is 'do u guys think this will affect his Trv approval? Though as at October when he applied, he had & still has till dec 1st to meet this requirement. According to him, it's also stated on his letter that fees will still be accepted after this date but with a late payment charge. What do u guys think? Kindly respond.

Hello House. I don't think we should give up totally on PGC/D applications. Miracles still happen. A friend of mine got admitted into Humber college in July & applied for her TRV at d end of July. She didn't pay any fee(s), sponsors closing bal was 7m, one land, no travel history & she's unemployed. She got her TRV yesterday. I read somewhere on this thread dat if u are 24 & above, not married, getting a TRV with PGC/D would be hard..well my friend is 29, not married. BTW, paper route. I think we shouldn't discourage ourselves, I know it's hard but try to stay positive. Submit a flawless application, be it for Msc or Pgc/d, do what u can, PRAY & leave the rest to God. I wish all TRV hopefuls the best.

Hello House, been a while. I believe we are all doing well & moving forward.

Has any UOIT applicant for winter 2017 gotten a feed back from them yet?
If there's anyone here who applied to them for Jan start date, please let's talk here especially if we applied for the same course (MITS)

Thank you.

toboy:
A relation who is currently in Canada needs to book the flight for you from here in Canada then forward you the tickets. Then you can pay the relation back. Also I feel like some Nigerian travel agencies do this but am not sure I need to ask a friend who recently traveled. Flight to Nigeria should not be more than 500k max no matter what.
Hi toboy!! Does it have to be a relation? Can anyone else book it, Like a friend or something?

I applied in june 2016 for winter 2017. But I was made to understand admission decisions are made after the deadline, which was july 15th....for MENG ECE, so a response can come any moment. What course did u apply for?
Masters in Information Technology Security. Yes I was told the same thing. But I applied since in April and they were the ones that said their admission process is an ongoing process meaning you can apply anytime and still get your LOA after the stipulated 2months for admission processing with them. 'I stand to be corrected'

andre99:
We really need PGC/PGD applicants to come and give their testimony right here on this forum because it baffles me for a VO to delay an application just because u r going for a PGC/PGD, we need applicants to request for their GCMS to really know the main reason for the delay and not conclude that they r delayed because they r going for a PGC/PGD and my last advise is to always apply for a program that is related to ur 1st degree, I noticed most people applying to colleges always apply to study Human Resources Management.
You are absolutely right on this andre99...that was my mistake. My course didn't relate to my undergrad course of study. So I'm starting all over again.

What's really up with UOIT. I applied since March 2016 for Winter 2017. Please is there anyone on this thread who applied to them for same period that has probably heard from them?

Pls guys do you know of anyone who received visa approval email & Letter of introduction by hard copy? Most people are saying it may be attached to my passport. Pls assist.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Aflafla: 9:35am On Feb 19, 2016
@/hayqinsbfx, No I was not asked to send a new letter but since d date of my 1st admission letter was fast approaching, I was adviced to defer & send the new letter to them. I do not know what to think. D 1st time I got this, I wasn't called for medicals but for my 2nd application, I did upfront medicals.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Aflafla: 8:42am On Feb 19, 2016
Hi...pls I need an answer. I applied for my study permit visa in sept last year..I was denied & I reapplied again in Nov!! Nov 23 2015 to be precise. I did upfront medicals. I was supposed to resume in Jan 2016 but because of the delay at the embassy, I deferred till may & sent the new admission letter to them in Jan. I just tracked my application & saw the dispatch notice. However, I have not received any visa approved email & I'm told I shd hv received one, most people say it may come with my application cos I did paper application. Pls what do u guys think or has any one been in this situation?? Please kindly respond asap because I'm kinda scared it's a refusal.
