Did anyone apply this month and photocopy of there picture was rejected when submitting ? I was told no photocopy of picture is accepted again. How true is it pls ?

Hey people, to God be the glory. I was delayed the second time. Just like someone said on here, the VO’s reasons for denial according to the refusal letter is not what is meant to be. I think its solely that the VO believe one wouldn’t come back after studies.
Please people how do I tackle this….

First denial

Travel history
length of proposed stay
purpose of visit
your current employment situation.
personal asset and finance.


Second denial

Your family ties in canada and in your country of residence.
Purpose of Visit
Your personal asset and financial status.

I don’t know what to do to this people ooh….. abeg make una help a brother.
I was able to tackle every problem from the first refusal, but I don’t know why they came up with this new reasons which where satisfied in the first application.

Please, how do you guy think I should tackle this problem this time around.
Mind you, I paid almost 12K fees this time, sponsors account… dad was 7 M… mom was 4.something. I included enough documents that are good to go including family pictures.
Just that I did not include my deed of assignment of my land, which I added in the first application.
Please you guys should help ooooooooooo.

The best thing is to appy for a PGC/PGC since you have already completed your undergraduated.

I read Textile Design in a federal university here in and I also apply for a 2years Diploma program in Textile Design at New Brunswich College of Craft and Design(NBCCD) and I have been accepted also but the it is not a degree certificate that will be awarded, it is until I finish d 2years program and go for a year program that I will be awarded a (B.sc). Pls I hope I will be given a visa since it relates to my undergraduate program but its not a degree program? Safty coures is just a professional course they use in getting factory or safty precaution jobs in dubai. Apply for a pgd/pgc course inline with your ND course (Mass comm). You can refire as soon as your applicaion are tight.

Lol... Exertly the mistake I made. I had 3 admission letters. 2 in my profession and 1 in business certificate. And I use the one in business certificate to apply. Then it flop the whole application. So first

Change your course to pgd or pgc in ur line of education and fix other question I ask you. Then you state and prove what you have been doing since you completed your ND.

Since you have a sponsor, your SOA of 500k is okay.

Are you the principal applicant ? In most cases, when visa is issued the the main applicant, its automatically issued to the spouse. So relax your mind and go get your visa. Its a xmass gift for you. Lol

Firstly, I want to apologies to the house because this refusal occurred out of my personal ignorance of using a "Representative", cos am sure a good and well arranged SOP would have addressed that issue. It's a visa refusal thou, not a death sentence. ( still thank GOD)

I NEED SUGGESTIONS and ADVISE serious one at it pls.

I intend to fire again for May Session, but with another admission from same school (seneca) which I will reapply for and this time I intend using online route (formal was paper route).
* Do I have to do Biometric again ?
* Can I still use same SOA(but updated one) since I have no issue with insufficient fund?
* Hope I won't have another issue applying with another offer from same school ?

Use http://matrix.itasoftware.com/ to searh for flights over a range of dates. This software is what travel agents use.

I did a quick search for flights to Winnipeg and I see it is consistently above N400k.

But a trick you can use is to book a flight to Toronto using Egypt Air, and then book another separate flight from Toronto to Winnipeg.

A one-way via Egypt Air from Lagos to Toronto on Dec 27th is N180k. A one-way from Toronto to Winnipeg on Dec 28 is (300CAD).

The total estimate using this strategy is N180k+N45k=N225k.

I see your point about not wanting to fly thru Egypt, but it is not really a hot zone.

1. Yes, you can change but reflect this in your SOP. However, tackle other reasons for your denial too. (To clear any ambiguity, by reflect I mean you should write that you have chosen so so computer course and highlight reasons/motive for choosing it, what you hope to achieve by getting a degree of it etc.)
2. If you have new information to update on your CV, please do that. It won't hurt. Yes, you need a new SOP to explain the change in #1 above among other things you need to tell the VO.
3. Yes, enter your UCI number in your new application. We can only hope it affects your new application positively. Each application is treated as a fresh application to the best of my knowledge.

Greetings from Toronto to you all incoming and prospective students. ON how to get cheaper air tickets, Isuggest you do book it through credible websites or agencies. You could always check and compare prices from expedia.com and make a choice. I am pretty sure the VAC/IOM which process your applicants also has extremely discounted air ticket rates for Canada-bound students . Dubious individuals posing as ticket agents may inflate the rates or abscond with your money. Be cautious.

On student jobs here in Canada, as one of the colleagues said above it is always open to chances, the season and the aggressiveness of the student. I was a masters student in Political science and had a guaranteed job as Teaching and Research Assistant for 1yr. I was making $32/hr

What you must know is that most student visas come with limited number of on/off-campus hours of work. In most cases CIC forbids you from working more than 20hrs per week so long as you are a full time student. What most aggressive students do is to do what is called working under carpet. it means you work alright but must make sure your company doesnt pay in your name so it does not reflect in the database of the government. There are ways around that sha. Summer (May-Aug) is the best time to land multiple jobs in populated provinces like Ontario. Be careful not to overwork and have your academic grades sink. The best way to get a job here is to sign up with Temporal recruitment agencies, register with job search websites or rely on referrals of other students who are already established here. You could make btn $CAD 11.35-20 depending on the type of job. I hope this helps.nIf you need help with accomodation or airport pick up I am ready to help. Only for students coming to Ontario

Don't treat this as a gamble. Make sure you can justify to the VO whichever program you use to apply for your TRV. The burden of proof on you is of course higher if you are applying to a different course than your BSc, but it is not a big deal as long as you can sufficiently justify it to the VO. You can justify your chosen course through your BSc or work experience or any other undertaking that you can write about (with proof).

Several people on this thread (including yours truly) have explained over and over what is necessary to address to justify your purpose of visit. I would recommend you not rush to reapply so that you can read the thread. You could go through all my postings as I have addressed these issues dozens of times. Also go through the postings of people like @Team12 @Khalesi @ayooluwatoni @tnuola etc, or just read the whole of Part 7 or 8. At this point it sounds like you are not sure what you want to study and why. First think deeply about this before you rush to reapply.

Well, yeah the VO likely saw your application as ploy to flee Naija. Getting a visa for a business diploma course (which is way below BSc level) is a very tall task given that Nigerian schools offer similar business courses, given that you already have a BSc, and given that admission to such a diploma course in Canada is very very easy. The VO would highly doubt that the business diploma course would be significantly different from a similar course in Naija... this raises significant questions about your intentions.

Now if you had extraordinarily strong ties to Naija (e.g. you already run a very profitable business, you have a strong travel history to OECD countries, you own valuable property, and/or have wife & kids, etc) then maybe your application would have a much higher chance. But it doesn't seem that you have any of this so it makes sense that the VO did not find your application plausible. Sorry about that.

If you say that you want to go to Canada to learn how to run a "big business" successfully, then you need to be able to make an argument to the VO that the program you are going for would indeed equip you with the skills. Even me, I am not convinced that a business diploma course would sufficiently teach you how to run a "big business" successfully, let alone a VO.

You would have a better chance with an MBA admission or a graduate diploma program that is specifically targeted towards running big businesses (you would only likely find such program at a university's school of business/management).

Its a business diploma course i applied for so as to have knowledge on how to run the proposed business. Not yet in Nigeria. Its a new business that is not in Nigeria.. I applied for it so that i will be able to run the business successfully.

In any case, someone else on this thread PMed me that she also got approval mail (she hasn't picked up her passport yet tho) without doing medicals, so the story seems more plausible than you think.

I applied on september 16 and track my vfs yesterday 12 of nov and it says it has been sent to lagos nigeria but I didn't receive any approval mail. Bt am scared to go and pick it up. Still waiting for there text message because I learnt they send text message if its ready. I applied via paper route and did upfront medicals. Aw about you? Did you have any ideal y I didn't receive an approval mail? Or if truly they will text once my passport is with them in lagos vfs center?
