I submitted mine in Lagos. Didn't book any appointment. Just went to VFS and told them I wanted to submit passport based on Canada PPR and I was let in.

Documents I took along:
PPR letter
The passport itself
Copy of passport datapage earlier stamped by VFS
Another copy of passport datapage.

Didn't take time at all. I think I was done in less than 30mins. Didnt pay for courier or sms. I told them I'll pick up by myself.
I submitted on a Friday and on Monday, I was notified by email that my passport was ready for collection. They spammed me with quite a number of emails on that Fri and on the Monday. It was quite irritating.

Wow, thank you very much for the detailed post. I'm not in Lagos/Abuja at the moment, so I won't be able to go in person. For the courier method, I didn't do biometrics cuz I have my old biometrics from years ago on file, so I don't have any document stamped by VFS, I also read that I have to pay for the package transmission fee and all that, but the VFS Global website isn't even working; it's quite confusing.

This exact scenario happened to me today on Z .com, and it's not the first time. It also happens on some other registrars too, can't remember if it was Unstoppable or Dynadot but I've experienced it elsewhere. In order to snap the reg ASAP, I usually ensure I have a backup (cheaper) registrar to register the name with. Today, I ended up using Spaceship (cheaper) to register the name that Z .com (cheapest) returned as unavailable.

I've been on and off this thread since it started, but only comment when needed. Recently, I got an interest and I need to know if it's a positive one or if I'm being baited to get pieces of evidence for an initial UDRP complaint filing. So I quoted someone who was in a similar situation from years back to ask how his went.

As usual, someone else chipped in their 50 cents, which is highly appreciated. I already knew why I acquired the domain and the worst-case scenario, but what surprises me is how some people talk assertively as if there is always only one side to their coin. Someone even said if you query the guy, you will find out it's for the wrong reason with no proper understanding lol.

I asked questions relating to this, in a closed domaining platform and there were tips and safety measures highlighted but as usual, most people on the Nigerian platforms would rather disseminate negative energy than address the issue. My actual question only got one response but when it led to arguments, the thread suddenly became active. Well, no one is encouraging newbies to get into UDRP issues because of one-off issues. Now, we can move on with the thread and skip the back and forth. Thanks

Help! I’m confused, I got my ITA on October 23rd 2024 trades and my AOR is November 14th. For now my biometrics and medicals are completed and passed. Info sharing, criminality is passed, security not started but my eligibility is recommended passed as seen on my GCMS notes I ordered in early February. There’s a recommendation with review required for my self employed work experience from Nigeria and my category is through CEC with my work experience here in Canada which gave me the ITA. What do I do next? Other people I submitted before are getting approvals already. So down. Help anybody on what to do please.

Apart from the mandatory documents for self-employment, such as Business Registration Certificates, Tax documents, etc did you add reference letters from your clients/business partners, ID cards, invoices/receipts of goods and services provided, bank statements that shows proof of business with your clients etc..? The latter are not listed as required documents on the IRCC website but they go a long way in solidifying your business and convincing the VO. Just in case you are wondering, I am also a self-employed applicant, also CEC candidate and I submitted everything I could lay my hands on to prove my business. BTW, most of the things listed in the previous replies are not the issues because your CEC eligibility is not based on your self-employed work experience i.e. your self-employed experience was not acquired in Canada.

In addition to what the Original Poster said, if you can get the trifecta, you can easily and quickly progress upwards and choose a pathway in Networking or Security. It's a cheat code that even those without experience use to get their foot in the door and if you play your games right with real experience in the bag, you are looking at $100k in 3-5 years. This beats ANY BootCamp out there.

Comptia A+ (Core 1 & Core 2) > Network + > Security + = Trifecta! After this, you can diversify into whatever pathway you choose with a few specialized certs. Lastly, If you were a student at some point and can still access your student email, use it to access the Comptia Acad store and get the vouchers dirt cheap, which makes the investment a lot easier. All the best!

Ahhh.this is just a 3m house o. Even if you pay 600k down, you go still get around 13-14k mortgage payments.

Even a 2m house with a 150-200k na still around 10k mortgage plus phantom costs fit reach 13k-15k.

A dentist I know lives in a 5m house and he only paid 800k down. That will be a whooping 24k in mortgage payment monthly Oyinbo no dy send..

With all honesty, Real Estate prices are over-inflated in Canada and it's sad nothing is being done about it, all the so-called solutions they are using to fix the problem are not even addressing the issue, not to talk of fixing it. The mansion you'd buy in so many parts of the United States with that big money is so mind-blowing yet all you get for that in Canada is a relatively small house. I visited a friend in his house overseeing the Ocean and despite being a remote island with a tiny population, the house costs over $2m. This is madness!
