onwosuigbo: IELTS
Please i wrote my ielts in May 2019 and got band score of 7.5. Do i need to write another one in applying for Visa? Thank you IELTS isn't a compulsory/required document when applying for Study permit... Though, it has a validity period of 2 years but you can still add it like that, just to show you wrote it recently and you had a good grasp of it. You can as well choose not to add it. Your call. |

Beautifulchy: Please what's the requirements of applyboard? I think I saw somewhere that you will have IELT thou not sure Applyboard doesn't have ANY requirements. It's the schools you're applying to, that have requirements. Visit www.applyboard.com and create an account, after doing that, fill your profile and choose the programs/schools you're interested in. The admission requirements of the school(s) will be shown on the program application page. Just start by creating an account first, you'll get it from there. |

Beautifulchy: Please I need a review on Camosun college for Civil Engineering Technology , Also with the diploma certificate and Bsc from Nigeria, can I go for Masters later? Fanshawe seems to be a long process to apply. The agent I contacted from the school list said I should pay $300. Regardless of the school you're applying to, stick to Applyboard, they are unarguably the best admission processing organization out there. They won't charge you nothing, you're only required to pay Application fees for the school(s) you're applying to, if at all you'll be asked to pay. With Applyboard, you'll even get application fee discounts unlike applying directly to schools yourself. |

1cor2v9: My Landing Gist
I had booked my flight shortly after PPR came because I thought passport will be stamped and returned in 6weeks , I had to reschedule the flight.
I booked a return ticket for 475k and later rescheduled for a fee of 44k
For those wondering why a return ticket I needed it to apply for PTA, upon return of my passport from Accra I applied for PTA and 3days to my flight 4k dollars was approved and disbursed to me at 419 per dollar. I will open my return flight and use it whenever I'm ready to visit Nigeria.
Cheers. Congratulations!!! I enjoy reading your Landing gist. Wish you all the best in Canada. @Bold... I thought return tickets are to be used within the year. Is there a specific type you opted for that allows you to activate and use anytime you like..? Please clarify. Thanks |

Ameeria: Good morning house, I just realised that my EE profile will expire next month. So I need the following clarifications:
1. I am currently in Canada on a visiting Visa. Should I withdraw my EE application and create another one and state my country of residence as Canada? I have been in the pool since last year.
2. Should I use the new portal instead of the old GSkey portal? I have checked the new portal from which I applied for my visit visa but didnt see where I could start an application for EE.
Thank you very much. No, you can't use the new portal for Express entry. It's only meant for visit visa, study permit and citizenship application. You have to use GCKey for the creation of your new express entry profile. |

The least anyone who's using this platform to get info regarding their Canadian study journey could do, is to drop their timeline, in order to help others... You'd most likely do the same if/when you get your PPR. |

ZINIE07: Please guys can someone already studying in canada who is yet to finish her studies eligible to put for fSW or PNP. I have ielts but it will expire bfr graduation I just want to know while studying if its okay to create an express entry profile. Age is not favorable for me dou. Please I would like some advice guys Yes, you're eligible to have an Express Entry profile. There is dual intent, and one doesn't affect the other. You can open the profile, the earlier the better, if there's any need to write another ielts, you can easily update your profile when the present one expires. |

Jacksonmma1: Greetings Gurus, please I have a some questions disturbing me. 1) I am going for a one year course(welding and Metal fabrication) at NBCC.I have a diploma in shipping management, welding and Metal fabrication and a one year work experience too.please, which should I use to prove my academic progression: My diploma in welding and Metal fabrication fabrication or my work experience in welding and Metal fabrication.
2)I have two sponsors which are my biological elder brother (we have same sur names) who is based in Canada(citizen) and my mom who’s a teacher and a business owner here.
I wanted to know if I should use them both as my sponsors or just used one of them. And if I’m to choose, who should I choose
Abeg,my Gurus @makano,@frankbnn1,@Ommini.....etc make una help a brother abeg
Thank you 1. Use both your diploma and work experience since they are related or even the same. This shows that you are fully focused on this career path. If the course you're applying for in NBCC is advanced diploma, that's even better. Because It's easier for even a blind VO to see the Academic & Career Progression in your application. Btw, make sure you write a convincing SOP in regards to this and ensure you touch other parts of your application as well e.g. Home/economic ties, POF, etc 2. I'd advise you not to use 2 sponsors, most times, the VO sees it as being weak financially/ economically hence having to combine sponsors. So you can use anyone but ensure you use the one that best fits in after considering the available balance, landed properties, etc If your mum meets all these, I think she'd be the better sponsor. |

Nozino: Account opened specifically to migrate because you are frustrated. You’re so frustrated you got an illegal ND through “waivers”.
Maybe you should go through NBET course requirement and see if a Bsc has exactly the same course requirement as an ND. I’m sure you’re going to make it look legal, try going to a public polytechnic and “transferring” credits from a Bachelors degree to ND let’s see how that’s possible.
If not that you’re a criminal, how can ALL your credit transfer and you didn’t have to do anything else, not even a thesis but you got a Diploma.
Desperation to travel will be the end of you. Now, I feel so disappointed in myself, I've been trying to make a Corper who earns around 40k a month in Nigeria see things the same way I see them. Now I understand why you don't believe the OP's story. Truly, It's impossible for some set of people who earns poorly to believe other people make millions of naira monthly. Sooner or later, with the right attitude, you'll get there. Wish you all the best in life. |

Nozino: You’ve been on the EE thread since early 2021, are you still undecided about moving? Why didn’t you get your PR in 3months? Frustration dn really knack you. I understand your pains now. This account was opened in July 2021, how's that since early 2021 even if we're to assume I've been on the EE thread the day i opened this account.? July is the other half of the year. You see how f*cked up your brain is. Your frustrations and negativities is still yours, learn to deal with them yourself. |

Nozino: You’re still dumb irrespective of who you agree with. In your very small mind, there are people who do ECA, write IELTS, get into the Poll, get PR within 3months? This says a lot about how delusional you’re are. If Nigeria has fvcked anybody up, it’s you. Your desperation is literally everywhere. Asslicking people whilst hoping to get into Canada. You’re broke and poor in Nigeria, getting into Canada won’t change much for you. There's no point in dragging with you, a quick visit to the previous EE thread will show you timelines of those who got PR within 3 months some years back, pre-covid. This is one of them - https://www.nairaland.com/3948393/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/334#62268915 I have a close friend whose EE journey also took exactly 3 months, no point sharing such with a pessimist like you. If you find it hard to believe a straightforward story like that of OP, which one would you believe? Lol, I make 7 figures every month in Nigeria. Not everyone is relocating because of money, some of us just want a safe country that works, without people filled with negativities like you. |

Nozino: All this because you want to lick ass? The part I have issues with is saying he wasn’t sure. Like it’s not something he planned for and worked towards. Keep on licking ass. Ask people that have gone through the process. PR via EE don’t just happen. It takes years of planning. Lol, but if I had dumbly reasoned with you the way you did, it won't be ass licking abi.? I understand you. It's not really your fault, Nigeria has f*cked you up. FYI, many people have went through the EE process with a lot of smoothness n comfortability that they don't understand the pain of those whose timeline took over 2 years, some started the process and got PR within 3 months, that's how easy it was for them. Next! |

Nozino: You were working a comfortable job and wasn’t sure about applying for Express entry but you paid for, wrote and passed IELTS, did Credential evaluation, entered the Poll etc but you still weren’t sure.
Ok na. Go on. People like you are so confined in a state of incertitude that it's almost impossible for you to think out of the box. This is not an Express Entry thread, do you expect the OP to list all those.? Since he said he did Express entry, the smart ones already know he wrote ielts, did ECA and all that. |

Prettiepearlz: You are right! As we speak I have four admissions but I would most likely defer my admission because as it is right now my passport will expire on the 31st of May and I want to apply for the 10 years passport so I don’t have to worry about these folks for the next 10 years of my life. Also the July news is one to look forward to. Oh, that's great. You have a lot of options already which makes it even better, btw, there's still enough time from now till July to make important decisions... I already took the study route, my decision should come in hopefully before or by next month but I'll still keep up with my PR pursuit regardless. Wish you all the best in this journey. It will end in praise! |

Prettiepearlz: My sister, Ontario is a good province, you can always change provinces later when you become a citizen. And besides there are high chances of you getting a nomination certification before July. Ontario would have responded to you before then. Just remain strong sis. This year is our year! Hi Prettiepearlz, I remember you were considering the student route at some point earlier this year, did you later proceed with it or you've decided to wait for the draws to resume, since it's certain it'll be back in July.? Me, I'm quite confused right now but this year is our year I believe! |

WoundedLamb: Summary: It's really about your lifestyle and what works for you. In terms of day to day living, the two countries have a lot in common and they're really great. Canadians are basically English and French people in North America. The cities are named after European cities. Both countries have the same Queen. Both countries are extremely diverse, though Toronto is touted to be the most diverse city in the world. Personally, I find Canada a better place to live and the UK a better place for vacation. You generally have less to worry about in Canada but that means you also have more interesting things to do in the UK. Your post is unbiased... You said it as it is. Personally, I prefer Canada and I think Canada has a lot of potentials to be one of the greatest economy in the world (top 5) in few decades to come, by the time it fills up and balance its size:population ratio to a reasonable percentage. |

From recent time lines, I notice reapplications are getting fast decisions when the new portal is used to reapply. No biometrics (already done), no medicals (already done, provided it's still active), the VO just do review/check and go straight to the reason for the previous refusal to check if it has been addressed. If you're reapplying, please use the new portal. |
