GraciousWords: From my understanding, the CAC doc is just to show evidence of business ownership. Also most CAC docs are broad ranging, covering many things...so long as you are not claiming to have engaged in an activity outside what is listed on the CAC, then nothing do you... carry go.
AFAIK, it's the ref letters from clients that your NOC will be matched to, so if you have these, no issues...remember that self declared JD/ref letter is not allowed.
More on self employed docs here: https://www.nairaland.com/6081746/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/567#101886861 Thanks a lot, I really appreciate that. You just toggled my motivation switch to ON 😁😁 Gracias! 🙏 |

GraciousWords: For PNPs that are Express Entry related (e.g. BC Immigration streams that have the EEBC option), my assumption was that the NOC that got you the nomination had to be the same as the primary NOC on your Express Entry profile.......I could be wrong.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/provincial-nominee-program.html extract Officers must assess the application based on the NOC code listed on the confirmation of nomination Check on canada.visa for other views too.
If you have 1 year minimum WE on 22221, the easiest thing would be to change your primary NOC to 22221. 60020 would still be listed under WE and make up part of the 3 years minimum, it just wouldn't be the primary. Awesome!!! Thanks a lot for your input 🙏. I've tried searching on it too but no much info out there. I'd just assume it has to be the same NOC on both sides, to be safe. Regarding your smart suggestion, i thought of the same, which brings me to one more question please. Let's say I was doing I.T Support the first year (NOC 22221- Nature of Business 1,2, and 4 in the screenshot) while the last 2 years was used for sales of Computer + Accessories (NOC 60020- Nature of Business 3 and 5). Is using this single CAC certificate to proof the 2 different NOCs not going to be an issue since different nature of business is stated there? Other accompanying docs for each NOC will be provided as well.

Hello everyone, I hope you are all fine. Been a while here.
I have a question please, It's quite complicated but I'II simplify it AMAP. I recently got a BCPNP invitation for the International Graduate Stream, the main requirement is to have a Job Offer in Tech, which I have already.
Presently working in the company and the NOC is 22221 (User Support Tech). On the other hand, my primary NOC in my Express Entry profile is 60020 (Retail and Wholesale Manager) because I was self-employed and managed a business in Nigeria. Is it going to be an issue if I have NOC 22221 on my nomination certificate while my EE primary NOC is 60020 during my PR application?
What are your thoughts please.? |

vimma: Hi everyone,
I had my first attempt at IELTS on the 23rd of September with British council. My result came out today:
L- 9 R- 8 W- 7 S- 8
I need a 7.5 in writing to max out for express entry. Do you advice I remark writing?
2. What are the chances that it'll come back with a higher score?
3. Can it also come back with a lower score?
4. Is it better to retake the exam?
Please assist It's advisable to remark it, if you got 7 at the first attempt, there's a 50.01/49.99 chance of it being pushed to 7.5. However, it can NEVER come back lower, the worst case scenario is your score remaining unchanged and you'd lose your remark fee. Finally, considering your situation, retaking it is a No No. All the best! |

mollode: Hi everyone. Please I received an invitation to apply with invitation code from an employer via my job bank account. Does anyone have a idea what that means and what next to do? It means you should apply for the job by following the instructions on the job listing, also remember to include the invitation code to inform the employer that you were matched to the job by them. However, this is just a normal job bank procedure, the invitation code doesn't guarantee they'll give you the job. |

Arrowhead12: Hello guys.
Please, concerning educational history in the Express Entry profile, I hope it is not an issue if I input a resumption date for my degree different from what I inputted for another country Canada shares immigration data with? In the first application with that other country I had inputted January 2011, but it just occurred to me that the resumption of a new session is normally in September in my alma mater. Given that I have always gotten the year correctly, I hope it is not an issue if I can't say the specific month I started acadademic activities in the university? I inted to switch from January to September in my EE profile. I hope that won't be an issue in the event that Canada decides to confirm my details with the other country as the mismatch has no effect at all on my eligibility and CRS points.
Would appreciate your thoughts on the issue. It's good that you're bothered about this. It shows you're putting your mind in the process. Back to the topic, you don't have any issue. I've also done the same in several different applications, it's hard to keep track of when you actually started/ finish your degree as a Nigerian due to the fact that strike will push n pull the dates around and your finish date is even different from when your certificate is issued, might be months or even years apart. |

I am a self employed individual (running a business in partnership with my brother) Can he write me an employment reference letter? and I need sample of references letters from Suppliers and customers. In my opinion, he can't write you an employment reference letter but he can write a letter that shows you both run a biz partnership together, stating your roles, responsibilities, contributions etc However, his document shouldn't be the only one you'll use, ensure you get reference letters from suppliers, clients etc His own is just to support/solidify your application |

What I have in my account doesn't determine if I'm broke or not.
As a matter of fact, being a business person, I'm wealthier when I don't have money in my account (It means I've put all my money into use, with fat returns coming) while I'm broke when I have so much in my account (it means I'm not expecting anything cuz my money is sitting idle and not in use). |

LandingistForum: Nairaland is not from IRCC, still people use it for the information. They're people already in Canada that went thru the whole PR application process that don't even know nairaland exist. Don't let "over-sabi" make you stop people from accessing information from anywhere they choose to get it from.
The post on the forum blog I shared earlier contain steps to use the CRS tool and consequences of misrepresentation answering the questionnaire. The same link you shared is included as well with all indication that it's the sole tool needed to evaluate CRS score.
Don't think you open the link before you came in with your response. You're a typical Nigerian with "every Nigerian is a fraud" mentality.
Nairaland had its own little beginning just like this LandingGist forum. We all developed nairaland to make it what it's today.
Quit the hate, bruh! You're a typical case of "Omo Elefo" in yoruba. When called upon, the so-called omo elefo replied with - "Efo mi o ki n se tori akitan ooh". So I'm hating on you because you're the founder of Facebook or because you're Sean Fraser? Imagine wasting the extremely minimal hatred i have on someone that doesn't matter, Waste of hate! To start with, I replied someone who directly mentioned me with exactly what they asked for. So why are you crying and weeping all over the page? Them collect your biscuit.? If everybody here was replying people's request with a link to their websites, Youtube channels etc how do you think this thread will look like.? To make it worse, you've not contributed any reasonable thing to this thread since it's inception, how many requests have you answered here without adding a link? 90% of your post has a link on it, that is to say, if you don't have any opportunity to advertise your link, you won't reply anyone. Yet, you're shouting hate up and down, who loves the OP between you and I.? Someone who gives him exactly what he needed or someone who gave what he doesn't need for their selfish reasons.? |

For those who have written IELTS (IDP), I can see that during the registration, the date for speaking isn't normally shown. How/when do I know/see when the speaking test will be scheduled?
Or for IELTS (IDP), will all the four components be written the same day?
Please I need answers from those who have written this exam with IDP....
Thanks. The date for your speaking will be conveyed to you via your registered email address before you write the other components. Most of the time, speaking is taken on a different date, usually after taking the others. Just lookout for a mail from them with all the details. |

Harddiskng: I just submitted my express entry profile, my score is 401 (apart from age and my ielts score (7.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5) I have no idea why it is this low.
What are the options available to me to boost my scores?
I hear i can use PNP. How do I go about this? Ontario is on my mind but I’m open minded. What provinces are the easiest to obtain Province Nomination from? Your IELTS score would have been perfect with an 8 in listening... It'll increase your CRS scores drastically, apart from that, you should explore 2 or more certificates, French or PNP if you haven't looked into it. |

There is a reason why he was sent PFL, if you can't help him with suggestions or solutions, atleast don't throw your deep-rooted negativity at him. Can such a receipt be tendered to an employer for reimbursement? I know they are used to seeing hotel and airbnb receipts but not many handwritten notes from landlord? It depends on the employer, I think they all have their T&Cs regarding reimbursement. I believe if you paid via your bank, a bank extract showing the payments combined with that would work as safex mentioned. If it's by cash, I really can't say for sure. But in my own case, I had handwritten receipts for my previous apartment and I was able to use it just like normal receipt. |

Enculer2: Good people,
Need an advice on this one. So I have been accepted on a short term lease with a landord and I would like a monthly receipt of payment for rent. Landlord does not have a copy. Does anyone know how we can get one? Or if you are a landlord, how do you issue receipts to your tenants on short term leases and can they tender such a receipt in the event of reimbursement?
Kind regards. A printed or even hand-written receipt is acceptable, as long as it is duly completed and signed by both parties. |
