I saw the pics on my friend phone and I love it. But curious as, do they really practise all these with their partners? Pls share ur experience cause I'm not close to any of their ardent
They sure practice all these and more in their marriages! They are the only religious body that strictly follows the Bible's principles about marriage - they only divorce based on adultery in marriage, no other reason, that's why you hardly see their marriage crash out like most others.

If u delay in doing ur biometrics, does it affect the timeline for ur visa processing? Cos I am thinking of traveling
Yes and No.

I said Yes cuz for example, some applicants have gotten their PPR in less than 15 days from submission, if they didn't do their Biometrics until the 30th day they were given for biometrics, then it means their PPR wouldn't have dropped within that 15 days cuz there would be no progress on the application until Biometrics is received.

On the other hand, I said no cuz some people did their biometrics a day after they got BIL and their application still used months before they got PPR. So just go with whatever seems convenient with you, either weeks oh or months oh, your PPR will eventually drop.

Must we write our address and the embassy’s address in our SOP, or we can just start with a subheading?
It's not a must, most SOPs are straight to the point without those addresses but do it your own way, either one is fine

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I’d like to find out if it is necessary to visit the VFS Biometric center with the hard copy of my international passport? My passport was submitted a week ago to VFS to aid the processing of South African visa for work purposes.

Now, I have gotten the notification from IRCC to go and do my biometrics for my Canadian study permit? Can I go with only the copies of my data page?

I’d really appreciate a response on this. Thanks in advance
No, you can't go for Biometrics without holding your original passport, though they'll return it to you that same day after your Biometrics but they have to see it. You're given 30 days from the day you received BIL to complete your Biometrics so you should have gotten your passport back from South Africa by then.

So if the school does 100% waiver and issues diploma certificate without the student sitting for any exam how does it generate transcripts for evaluation? They have to make up some figures i guess.

The school is just preying on desperate/unsuspecting people to make some easy cash.
I wanted to counter your reply with further explanations but i no get strength to type... Why not just write to them to educate them better.? Their website and official email address is there, minister of education!

Good morning,

I saw 0000.00301880 for NGN today. Is this supposed to mean N301/1CAD?

Meanwhile Google shows N331.59 / 1CAD...

Please confirm.
Nope. The 0.00301880 is the CAD value of 1 NGN. Hence, it means that the rate is approximately 332/$ (Multiply 0.00301880 by 332, it gives you 1.000...) So, the rate is 332/$ not 301/$.

In addition, what the VOs basically do to convert the available funds you provided in NGN to CAD is that they multiply the present rate (which is 0.00301880 in this case) with the total amount you provided in naira, that will give you the total in CAD. You can do that as well.

Wow! Thanks for this wonderful idea. I know they won't send to my address jare, was just kidding.
Can I use a Nigerian university address? But I don't have insider anywhere bayi... I'm just so tired.
You're welcome. Sure, you can. But since you don't have anyone there, you won't be able to get it out. You can ask from your friends if they have close contact in an institution or organization.

I live almost opposite my school, so going there everyday isn't a problem, the guy helping me just said that they don't give out student copy of transcript, they can only send to schools on my behalf. I'm thinking of putting my address as one of the schools they'll send to. Lol grin grin
They won't send to your address once it's not an institution or standard organization's address. You can request for it to be sent to an institution where you have an insider, then once it arrives there, the person helps you get it out and hand it over. That's what I did when I was in your shoes.

You’re actually wrong to put that on a public forum like this. Proudly passing off a month course as a one year course. Even if we know sometimes some people have their ways around these things, it’s not to be mentioned in a public forum. Not a good outlook on us as Nigerians. It’d be nice if you take that down
Sometimes, we Nigerians overdo things, even when we chicken, we chicken out amazingly, that explains why we rarely see JR from Nigerians even when we've submitted the near perfect applications.

Well, I was expecting comments like this but to set things straight... There's nothing wrong or worth hiding about the program, this is a legitimate program and it is a course waiver for onward progression, it has to do with waiving courses that has already been written in your previous degree (Bsc) in relation to the diploma being awarded (ND). If you meet all waiver requirements, you'll be issued the diploma for a progressive admission into the HND program, hence why is called preHND program. If you don't meet all waiver requirements, you'll be given list of courses you're to take, which you then decide to take or not to take. And the breakdown of the payment includes ND1, ND2 tuition fees, etc which you and every other student pays. So how is the program trying to game/bypass the system.?

I think y'all should read on course waivers, all educational institutions offer it one way or the other. When I wrote the school, got all the details and got to know the program is legit, I was surprised why most people don't know about it earlier, it's all because of comments like this, jumping into conclusions about things without making any research. I just shared a legit and vital information for free. It'll be very useful for some people and those that doesn't find it useful. Sorry ooh!

I will like the gurus in the house to look into the question above. I am in the same category, I have an active express entry profile. I just applied for PNP for one the Canadian province two weeks ago. I want to apply for study permit with the new portal. I hope the application will not give any room for dual intent.
Since you just applied for PNP, I assume you've not gotten your nomination already, but will likely get it in the next few draws. If that's the case, you'll eventually submit your eAPR. Even if you've submitted already, as long as your eAPR and the study permit application shows on IRCC end, you'll definitely be assessed for dual intent. Though, having dual intent is legitimate but you still have to proof that you're eligible for study permit and you'll stick to the T&Cs associated with your temporary residence (i.e. leaving after your studies) regardless of the outcome of your permanent residence application.

I'm sorry is that guaranteed? That a one year program can't get more than one year PGWP because some of these two year programs are quite expensive
You can go for a one year program, since you won't need to show large amounts in POF compared to a 2yr program, then you apply for another 1 year program towards the completion of your first year program in Canada. That way, you'll still be eligible for 2-3yrs PGWP.

Please how do I boost a crs score from 413.... I just have one degree and I noticed when I changed it to two or more degree it skyrocketed to 474. I don't have that time to start enrolling for M.Sc. now. Please help as I would like to start this journey now.
The easiest and fastest route to get an additional degree is through a Pre-HND program from Kings Polytechnic, it cost about 250k altogether and would be ready within a month (according to them).

When I was in your shoes, I opted for BCS cert in IT because I have an IT background and I didn't want to spend that much, at the end of the day, I didn't pass BCS, as a matter of fact, none of all the people that I know personally and wrote with pass all the 3 papers at once. I lost interest in BCS and fell back on the PreHND.

To cut long story short, if you're ready to study well and wait a few months, opt in for BCS, CIMA and the likes. But If you're after a certificate that will be ready asap, try this route. Refer to the screenshot attached, visit their website and write to their official email to get started. Cheers!

guys please what is the minimum aunt required for 2 years post graduate course in Naira total or does anyone know the rate they use to calculate the CAD to Naira so I can know how much I have to account for
There's no specific amount, it depends on your school's tuition fee, $10000 living expenses per year, etc all those will give you the actual cost

As at today, the rate is 332/$CAD but it changes every now and then. Here is the official ircc exchange rate site to keep track of it - https://www.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/cgi-bin/recgen/er.pl?Language=E
