Adex2442:Google is your friend! |
I flew to Nigeria just to renew my passport earlier this year. It'd cost me almost the same amount to renew my passport in my country of residence. Just used that opportunity to visit family and friends. With this new development, I don't have to do that again. Anyway, I don't have to worry until 2029. Lol |
PrincessAriel:This score will definitely get you in the pool, however, a 9 in reading would have almost perfected the result, you can try reading=9 in the CRS calculator and see how your CRS will spike. You need to re-write CELPIP to have a better CRS score but this time around, aim for LSRW(10,10,10,10). If you can get that, then you've maxed the points for first language which in turn will give you a very good CRS score. All the best! |
Theflint1:According to the previous response, the choice is yours. But In my opinion, since the previous passport was not canceled, let them finalize the application with the passport she already has on file, especially since that passport has more than the needed duration (6months+) on it. |
crowniran:You need a diploma/certificate to get points for 2 or more certificates, you can check the 1st page of the thread for some (short-duration) certificates you can do like BCS/CIMA/PGD etc And if possible, you should rewrite and max out your IELTS... Achieving both will push your CRS up then you have better chances of getting ITA with STEM. |
megastu:You went through my old posts, to look for things to prove a point Grow up man!!!It amazes me that, as a self-acclaimed lawyer that you are, you don't know that people are innocent until proven guilty. You think like an averAGE Nigerian who thinks people are guilty until they can prove themselves innocent. I don't need your advice, since you have conclusive evidence that I took the picture without consent and since you know that they are minors, please charge me to court or better still, call 9-1-1!!! |
megastu:You already know my type from whatever timezone you are in? Well, FYI, my type doesn't break the law nor do I instill unnecessary fear in people. Them no dey hear abeg here oh? Really? I didn't know ooh. Tell me more about Canada, please. |
megastu:I almost called you Karen, but that won't be befitting. Maybe Kevin! Police control the MDTs in their vehicles while they drive, but they don't do it in an unsafe manner. So according to your analysis, once they take a peek at their MDTs which are usually on their right, they are automatically considered to be engaging in distracted driving.? Stop hyper-extending things, all the rules you quoted up there state that if it is a hand-held device, and go on to mention that if it's a screen it has to be attached to the vehicle's system and so on... The way he occasionally looks at his camera is the same way you'd occasionally turn your head to the right/left periodically when you drive. Again, as long as you're not holding your phone, you are not watching a video, your eyes are on the road, you're in full control of the vehicle and you can operate your tech with voice commands, what exactly is illegal here? Are there safer ways to make that video? Yes! he can make that video when he's not behind the wheel. But does that mean what he did is illegal? No! It's extremists like you that build fear in new immigrants when they arrive. |
Y'all should remember that Canada is very big. There are so many provinces and territories and the most important part is that there are different rules and laws in those provinces. If the person in the video is in Ontario, which is most likely the case here, there is no big deal in what he did but if it's in Alberta, he'd likely get pulled over by a cop. Having lived in different provinces, I can tell you there are so many rules/laws in your province that are nonexistent in some other provinces. For example, tinted front windows are not allowed in BC, on no condition. Whereas, it's a norm/your choice in Ontario. Someone who lives in BC might say this in a way that suggests it's a general Canadian thing but it's not, it's just a pronvincial thing and vice versa. |
GraciousWords, Mummy wa! Thanks for the back-to-back updates/advice both on and off the thread. Well appreciated! I dropped you a new email. Please check at your leisure. Thanks |
Clicked:Wow!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! That was so fast for an Outlander! Our Timeline is Identical just like a twin, until they tossed me to Lagos VO and into further review! It's easier for someone in Nigeria to get PR these days (provided they have the same point) than someone in Canada and that's just the Fact! Please give us full details, Congrats once again! |
DTruth10:Go ahead and submit your PR application. As you said, your 3 years of uncompleted education counts for something. I can guarantee you your PR application will be approved automatically. And don't worry about the previous issues you had with the immigration officers in Canada, they escorted you to Nigeria based on the V.I.P that you are. I've told you the sweet lies others refused to tell you. All the best!!! |
Xenomorph1:You asked for a quote after the match. Minimum of 2 goals? Still looking for the goals. Football isn't by emotions bro. I hope you've learnt your lessons. |
73O9:Haha, you got everything right, you're familiar with London. The 4th pic is inside Fanshawe main campus lol |
geekybabe:Oh great, That's nice. My very first time in masonville mall, I was finding the car for almost 2hrs cuz it's so big that I didn't know where I parked lol Hopefully, I'll come visit later this year. Enjoy!!! |
geekybabe:Haha, nice to see someone from the Forest city. London was my playground before I moved to the West coast. I know the city like the back of my hand and I had most of my evergreen Canadian memories there. Are you in London South, Central or North London? PS: found some old pics taken in London in my gallery 😆
|
Mariojane:Haha, we are expecting you oh |
aurorae1:Canada has too much to offer, so many things to see... I'm sure you'll enjoy it here, see you! |
The Northern Lights! @ The North Pacific! It's my first time experiencing this masterpiece! I feel like these pictures are not doing justice to the beauty of the Aurora Borealis!
|
aworhmabel:Just in case you don't know, it's against the Canadian immigration rules to have more than a profile at a time. Also, be careful of the type of information you give out to people online so as not to mislead them or get them into trouble.

eniola1010:Even though 6 months in the past 3 years is what is required to be eligible for CBDs, you still have to meet the minimum entry requirement for EE-FSW/CEC/FST to be able to create an EE profile, which is 1year work experience. So in your example, someone with 3years experience (say 6 months in healthcare + 2years 6months in another eligible NOC) and someone with 3years exp (2years in healthcare + 1year in another eligible NOC) will both be invited through CBDs and will get the same maximum points for 3 years or more work experience in the FSW stream. However, someone with only 6 months of work experience in healthcare won't be eligible to start with, since you have to be eligible for FSW first before the CBDs criteria will be considered. |
TPProjectMngr:Thanks a lot man! I heard exactly the same about the US freeways but I intentionally avoided going through US cuz I feel it isn't as safe as Canada. I'm so confident to safely navigate anywhere in Canada (even the reserves) but I can't say the same about US, especially with the fact that I wasn't planning to lodge in the hotel, I was sleeping in the car at campsites with RV travellers and truck drivers. On the return trip, might consider it since I won't be in a rush and would lodge. Yeah, Manitoba to BC is dualized so higher limit with more lanes. But at the far end of Vancouver, I drove my car into a ferry that transported me to the island I am on right now, then the TCH continued there and turned back to a single lane with 90km/hr. No problem! Thanks
|
ednut1:Lol, abi nah, i like driving and going on adventures. Thanks man |
miolad20:Lol, no wahala. I'd try put it together soon and post it. Thank you! |
id4sho:Hyundai SUV. The routes have different speed limits, it's mostly 90km/h in Northern Ontario; did 90-110km there depending on the traffic/road condition. On the Prairies, it was 100-120km but I did 120-140km. My highest speed was 150km/h at night in different locations. I passed through the Trans Canada Highway so no traffic apart from Winnipeg, Calgary, Vancouver and some construction zones too around Ontario/Manitoba border. No mechanical faults at all, My car coolant level didn't even drop 1cm not to talk of mech fault. Btw, I camped in the car throughout the trip (sunny, rainy and snowy) converted the back/trunk into a bed and used my duvet 😁

onegig:Thanks man! You described the route exactly as it is, no doubts you're familiar with the road. I thought the Northern Ontario end was dangerous until I left Banff, Alberta and entered BC. I was actually scared at some point, the roads were so dangerous, curvy and slopy that there are tens of brake checks for trucks/trailers on the route to check and certify their brakes okay before they attempt to ascend/descend each slope. As far as beautiful lakes are concerned, I give it up to Northern Ontario, I lost count and it became normal as I pass through each lake. On a side note, the number of lakes in Canada alone (thousands) is more than the rest of the world combined. I didn't see a Moose throughout the trip but I saw Deers, Elk, Wolves and a Bear (we were like 20 feet away from each other, in the midnight around 3a.m - my mind cut 😂) Like you said, the Prairies are just plain lands, I did cruise control mostly on this part and i enjoyed the view of the frozen lakes left and right. Thanks to an Albertan woman too, she was speeding, so we sped together from Sask until we parted at Med Hat. I covered a lot of distance faster cuz of her. Yeah. Dash cam is the way to go!!! I'd probably install one soon cuz lots of travels to do still. Thank you!

Llaye:Trust me, it was interesting but would have been more fun if it was done with family or friends. Did it all alone. Yeah, going slower would make me enjoy the sight and have more fun but I moved because of work (a project) and it was going to start in less than a week, having wasted enough time in Ontario, I had to push my gas... I'll be doing the return trip in a few months, I'd do that at a much slower pace 😄 |
NuCypher:Thanks. Yeah I agree... Funny enough, I have a YT channel but I was the only one so my videos were portrait and short cuz I was driving, might as well put them together like that and post sha |
It's very funny how the temperature keeps dropping as I move from East to West, and it suddenly went up immediately I entered BC. It was -5°C in Brandon,MB and -15°C in Moose Jaw (3rd Pic) Saskatchewan was iced up, Medicine Hat and Calgary were in between then immediately I entered Golden, BC the temperature became normal, about 8°C. Thanks to the mountains!!! I literally experienced and understood firsthand, why most parts of BC has the warmest weather in Canada.

About 2 months ago, I embarked on the longest road trip in my life, it was a Solo trip (Alone!). I drove from Eastern Canada to the West Coast via the Trans Canada Highway. This trip is over 5000km and it's 3days if you drive nonstop (takes a week with normal driving), this is about the distance from Nigeria to U.K, the amazing part.? I did it in 3 days - fastest ever possible!!! On one of those days, I drove for over 15hours in the 24hours I had to myself. The Mind-blowing part is, I was physically present in 4 provinces in a single day (Manitoba > Saskatchewan > Alberta > British Columbia) and I changed timezones three times on that day while driving. I learnt a lot on this trip, I saw the vastness of this amazing country and I realized I'm actually tougher than I used to think. I had an encounter with a Black bear on the 3rd day. Too many gist, too many videos, too many pics, It's overwhelming! The trip is daring and dangerous especially for a lone driver and it feels endless. Would I do it again? Most likely!
